Synthesis is great for high end crafting... But kind of sucks for your average player. Posted: 30 Mar 2019 11:46 AM PDT First off: I'm fine with the majority of the league after patch 3.6.3. My biggest problem is the actual Synthesis mechanic. For two reasons: The implicits don't mean much to your average player since they don't have the currency to access the best implicits... And they'd have to craft the new item afterwards anyway. Since they don't have the currency, the only market that really exists for fractured items are for high end players .. who only really want tier 1 rolls, which means your average player can't sell them OR use them. Which means that when your average player inevitably engages with the Synth machine, after acquiring all these fractured items they are being fed... They will only get frustrated. And you'll be lucky to sell 1 out of 100 fractured drops for more than an alch. Synthesizing gear and fractured mods are essentially worse than useless for the majority of the player base. They are just plain awkward and frustrating. Storage intense vendor trash for about 99% of your drops--just like regular rare items. Possible solutions? Allow fractured items to be sold for a synthesis currency that let's you do one of two things Reroll values of fractured mods only. I.e. divine orb for fractured mods only. Or upgrade the tier of one of your fractured mods by 1 level. This would give everyone engaging in the mechanic a clear way forward when it comes to crafting. Got a 3 fractured mods piece with t5 rolls? Upgrade them all as you go. Have all t1 mods, but not at the threshold for the best implicit? Roll the dice without spending divine orbs. I really feel this would make the CORE of synthesis, the items, more engaging and accessible. You can even make the upgrading more expensive for high tier levels, so as to keep the best gear gated, but not entirely random. Anyway... /Rant. PSA: +zone level Memory Amplifiers don't bring memories above lvl 83 Posted: 30 Mar 2019 03:15 AM PDT after investing into memory modifiers on a level 83 zone, I was planning on getting a bunch of super high level fractured items, unfortunately when I put the zone onto the +3 to zone level amplifier, Nothing seemed to change. It has the "memories placed on this location are 3 levels higher" mod, but the zone level and dropped items were still 83. Just a friendly reminder to those who may not be familiar with this scam, people will buy up these rare, niche items that are hardly used to price-fix and attempt to trick other players into thinking that the value of these items is much higher than a much more commonly used item that the scammer wants.
