Path of Exile Builds Important Cast on Crit info (cdr breakpoints/attack speed/accuracy)

Important Cast on Crit info (cdr breakpoints/attack speed/accuracy)

    Posted: 29 May 2021 01:11 AM PDT

    Introduction

Cast on crit has an internal cooldown that is affected by cooldown reduction (cdr) and server tickrate, the following is a guide to ensure you have optimal dps.

Going slightly above the breakpoint will literally halve your trigger rate, getting more attack speed will slowly recover it until you reach double the breakpoint speed but usually reducing your attack speed/reaching the next breakpoint is the way to go.

    Section 1: CDR breakpoints

    Cooldown Reduction Attack speed breakpoint
    0% 6.06 APS
    14%-51% 7.57 APS
    52%+ 10.10 APS

You should aim to get an attack speed as close to but under the listed numbers above, going over will result in a sharp drop in trigger rate,

Trigger rate is displayed in pob if you select the spell being triggered as the main skill, to check your aps you must manually select the linked attack skill in the second dropdown of the main skill list

    Sources of cdr:

    1. Shaper/Crusader boot suffix (10-15%)
    2. Shaper/Crusader belt suffix (10-20%)
    3. (new) Veiled mod belt suffix (13-15%) ty,Bajshatt
    4. Flow untethered/Torrents reclamation (15-20%) *WILL INCREASE ACTION SPEED
    5. Awakened CoC (10/13/16/19/22%)
    6. (new) Abyssal Eye jewels (2/3%, low weight, ilevel 75/86)

To get 52% you need 30/32% total from boots/belt and level 5/4 woke coc ty,shoobiedoobie

Warning: Cinderswallow urn gives onslaught and may bring you over the breakpoint, can be difficult to balance

There may be situations when using a minimum roll attack speed cospri may actually help bring your attack speed below breakpoints

Action speed from tailwind, harbinger of time, and reverse chill will increase your effective attack speed and will not lower your cooldowns

    Section 2: Accuracy

For critical strikes, accuracy is rolled twice; once to determine if an attack will hit at all, the second time to determine if the crit will hit.

If you have 100% crit chance but fail the second accuracy roll, your attack will hit but you will still not crit, pob accounts for this in the effective crit chance of the attacks

Going from 95% hit chance to 100% will increase your effective crits by about 10% more

For attacks, your crit chance is (Weapon base crit + Added base crit) * Increased critical strke chance

    Sources of accuracy:

    1. Precision (higher levels will grant larger amounts of added accuracy and crit chance at the cost of mana reservation)
    2. Rare equipment (rings, belts, helmets, weapon, amulet, gloves, etc.)
    3. Dexterity (+20 to accuracy per 10 Dex)
    4. Int with Shaper's Touch unique gloves (+4 to accuracy per 2 Int)
    5. Skill tree/Cluster Notables (Common nodes include the precision node near templar, do note that % accuracy nodes often are paired with attack speed, be careful not to exceed the breakpoints above)
    6. Ice golem (not recommended unless you are golem based elementalist)
    7. Champion with Worthy Foe notable (Taunted enemies cannot evade attacks)

Warning: Blind will reduce your chance to hit by 50%, significantly reducing your offense

    Section 3: Crit chance

If you can't crit you can't cast, bring your effective crit chance to as close to 100% as possible.

It is important you distinguish between the critical strike of your spells and your attacks. 100% chance to crit on ice nova won't matter if you have 80% effective crit chance on your cyclone

Important, major sources of crit chance:

    1. Skill tree
    2. Diamond flask (use when below 90% crit chance)
    3. Assassin's mark (can be applied on hit with influenced rings)
    4. Magic with crafted crit chance, unlocked by unveiling the crit chance on cinderswallow, you can hire a crafting service to add this to your build (may be boosted by flask effect)

    Situational

    1. Cinderswallow urn with crafted crit chance (onslaught may wreck your breakpoints be careful)
    2. Shadow - Assassin (base crit and power charge scaling) - Build defining
    3. Templar - Inquisitor (str/int stacking based on whichever is lowest) - Build defining
    4. Witch - Elementalist scaling buff effect for ice golem (will decrease/dissapear if golems die) - Build defining
    5. Ascendant - Assassin (base crit)
    6. Watcher's eye - "(70-100)% increased Critical Strike Chance while affected by Wrath"
    7. Watcher's eye - "(100-120)% increased Critical Strike Chance against Enemies on Consecrated Ground while affected by Zealotry"

Expensive sources of crit chance (base crit increases are more impactful than increased crit chance):

    1. Bottled faith (base crit chance 1.5-2%, can be scaled by flask effect, USE DIVINE ORBS if it's under 1.9)
    2. Influenced body armour (0.5%-1.5% or up to 2% when elevated, spell crit and attack crit are separate mods, get attack crit if you need more attack crit chance, gets expensive when 6 linked or paired with other good mods)
    3. Watcher's eye with "+1.2-1.8% to Critical Strike Chance while affected by Hatred"
    4. Glove corruption implicit (0.5%-0.8%, ilevel 60+)

Generally speaking it is NOT recommended to use increased critical strike chance/damage support gems due to the relatively low amount they provide, inc crit chance may be helpful while levelling but other gems will outperform it when more sources of crit chance/multi are available

Relaxing to play Champion/Gladiator/Slayer build for around 40-45ex?

    Posted: 29 May 2021 03:44 AM PDT

Hi everyone! After farming Nemesis Harbingers in Valdo for a day, I no longer have properly working hands. So I said fuck it, I sold off my watchstones, took all the sweet currency and now wanna make a new build with all of the spoils.

I'm looking for a Duelist build, any ascendancy. I want something that is mostly focused on mapping and decently tanky. But I want a build that doesn't require too much effort to play, so no warcry slam builds for me. Any tips for this 40-45 ex budget range?

    Not enough damage Cyclone build

    Posted: 29 May 2021 03:10 AM PDT

So I wanted to play something kinda tanky, but decent damage. Clearing that damage is fine. When it comes to fighting bosses or like conquerers battles take forever. ya, I can stay alive and whittle them down but it takes forever. Could I get some help finding out where I can generate some more DPS. Funds are limited now. Have about 2ex 233c

LF gauntlet build suggestions: Possibly raider variants!

    Posted: 29 May 2021 02:24 AM PDT

Preparing for the upcoming Gauntlet atm. I've been testing Armageddon brand / cremation raider and TBH it feels pretty damn solid, tanky and damage is decent.

PoB: https://pastebin.com/AHvftyyU (note that I'm not at this point gearwise currently, but everything should be farmable)

Why raider? Raider offers a lot of QoL (perm. phasing, ailment immunity and exposure) and easy access to dodge nodes. Feels good for leveling.

I want to expand my mind with other skills I can test out in PoB, can be spells or attack. What are your experiences?

Maybe another asc.? I would really prefer ailment immunity though :).

What are the better totem builds?

    Posted: 29 May 2021 02:02 AM PDT

What are some solid totem builds currently? I love mapping and the ultimatum mechanic so anything that excels in those areas would be neat

I'm poor so under like 2ex is ideal

Get more endurance charges - Juggernaut

    Posted: 28 May 2021 12:33 PM PDT

    Hey boiss.

I'm running a Righteous Fire Juggernaut and it's been fine so far (still need to get used to not having huge DPS after migrating from Necromancer).

The one thing that I couldn't figure out yet is how to get more endurance changes or plain physical damage reduction for that matter. The build I'm following has about 90% phys dmg reduction (I know that's not accurate) while my own still has 47% even though we are both level 80 and have similar items.

I've heard pleople showing off 11 endurance charges whereas I only have 6. Is that something really important, anyway? How do I get to the point I can facetank bosses hehehe?

PS: don't mind the flasks, I'm still working on them.

    Spell Totem Exsanguinate Build Showcase

    Posted: 28 May 2021 10:25 PM PDT

Hello guys, I have been playing intensively in Ultimatum, although my experience is far from enjoyable, mainly due to the practically 80% invisible textures. However, the build is crazy fun, so it doesnt even matter. If you are like me, spell totem exsanguinate will be a good option.

P.S. suggestions on what to improve are welcome!

    Looking for all-rounder ranger/bow build

    Posted: 28 May 2021 11:23 AM PDT

edit: just realized title said ranger, any ranged build is fine. edit2: Gonna go with Ele hit Raider, seems solid enough as a start into ranged builds. Thanks all!

    Hey all!
After basically min-maxing my Cyclone Slayer till the next upgrade is a 200ex weapon for 10% damage increase, I've decided I want to try something else.
I've never really played ranged/bow builds and I want to give it a shot, mostly because I feel I can't see what's happening properly on melee before it's too late.

I'm not going to sell any of the old gear, but don't mind using it on 2 chars.
    Here's my current PoB: https://pastebin.com/j96rZ8wY
Budget would be around 70ex - also have a headhunter.

The only "kinda ranged" build I've played is BF/BB, but this was too clunky for my liking.

Should be able to map decent (Probaby where HH comes in) and clear all other end game bosses/content.

It's the Zizaran EDC Trickster, I'm trying to understand the purpose of each of the spells and when I should use them.

Auras and EDC / blight / flame dash I understand but why cold snap / despair / tempest shield / withering step / shield charge?

    Bergerbrush's Cyclone Champ build, btw

I have never played a cyclone build before. I've spent quite a bit of currency on this build so far, and it's going well, but I just don't see the damage adding up to millions and millions. Just looking at POB, I'm sitting at about 240k. I don't have 7k EHP. I can't use Pride, because my mana is in the gutter. Am I missing something? Should I just keep going? I'm fine with any of these answers, and I'm enjoying the feel of the build. I just feel a little lost here. Thank you for the help.

Looking to build flicker strike raider. Need a few tips.

    Posted: 28 May 2021 03:05 PM PDT

First of all... is it even any good? Will it be ok for nemesis?

My budget is 2 headhunter. I initially wanted to use one of them for the build because I think it can benefit a lot from headhunter.

I was looking on Poe ninja and it looks like the build is around 200 ex without super juiced rings. Also I've seen versions with replica abyssis but I don't think it's that good... is it?

Can the mirage warriors generated by the Saviour also apply ailments?

    Posted: 28 May 2021 02:38 PM PDT

I have a janky viper strike build planned around the Saviour and I was wondering if the warriors generated by the Saviour could apply ailments. More importantly, do the Saviour clones get the benefit of all your stats, passives, ascendancy passives, etc. Finally, are these ailments separate from you or do they still count as ailments that you apply? (This pertains more to ignites. If I apply an ignite and so do both of my boys, does the target then have three ignites working on them or just the highest one?)

    Thank you!

    Bane Hiero

    Posted: 28 May 2021 10:36 AM PDT

    Salutations Exiles

I bring another abomination from the lab

I recently landed a Bane Damage enchantment on a Crown of the Inward Eye and due to unpopular demand I've been working through some basics on a build for it and would appreciate some thoughts

Initially I am thinking of utilising Bane with Despair, and the typical supports, controlled destruction etc, with Enfeeble and Temp Chains in Vixens Entrapment.

My thoughts are to use Hierophant and Scaling huge aoe via the Transfigurations gained from Crown, initially the idea of using Sanctuary of thought for the added area of Effect, but to be fair Banes area or Effect is massive, so it's probably excessive. Illuminated Devotion and Conviction of Power will provide some nice buffs in the way of permanent ailment immunity during Arcane Surge, which should be essentially permanent, aswell as spell damage leeched as life during Arcane Surge. Conviction will provide 4 Endurance and 4 Power Charges permanently, Scaling the survivability that little bit more. Initially thinking to essentially mimic some of the non cluster based builds on PoE Ninja, but thinking of utilising Dark Ideation to its fullest, scaling Life and Mana and possibly foregoing Energy Shield in lieu of Agnostic and MoM, spreading the Damage intake.

Plausible indeed is taking Mahuxotl's Machination and Tempered by War, negating the necessity to stack resistances in Lightning and Cold, By placing this right next to Agnostic, converting that node, still picking up the nearby Guard skills boosting Mana Regen and using and going entirely into Fire and Chaos, this will likely mean reserving Malevolence in a Essence Worm, taking Vitality , Clarity and Purity of Fire for regular Auras and picking up a few nasty cluster jewels for the boosting of Chaos res and Pure Might to reduce the reservation cost of Purity of Fire. Through the use of Doryani's Delusion boots, a level 25 Purity of Fire possibly boosted with Empower. Attaining the Energy Shield leech through the use of Soulrend on a 4L to hopefully top up the Energy Shield enough to benefit from Everlasting Sacrifice.

Adding in Low Life through Petrified blood could make sense, although would mean ditching Agnostic, MoM at 40% could help to flatten the incoming damage and boost the damage dealt through Pain Attunement.

I realise using Hiero is immediately an off meta, possibly just watered down version of using Occultist but enjoy the added Ailment immunity, and Mana stacking to survive if it makes enough sense.

Damage could be the issue, which would require some pretty hard investment into a big dick chaos multi wand, which would be fine provided i can craft one. It really will be relying on Clusters and Mana Scaling I think which shouldn't be too bad. Unsure whether the Arcane Cloak will scale enough damage to assist but it should be additive, but with Soulrend hitting, and leeching, it can apply shocks if necessary.

Appreciate any thoughts Best of Luck, Exiles

Edit: the new thoughts are to look for Soulrend usage with Tempered by War and Mahuxotl's Machination (everlasting sacrifice) and Cloak of Flame, utilising MoM to mitigate incoming damage, predominantly Scaling the Soulrend hit, essentially taking only physical damage and fire / chaos damage 50/50, stacking bulk resists in Purity of Fire and getting as close to 90% fire res as possible

Help with stat stacking coc inquisitor

    Posted: 28 May 2021 02:10 PM PDT

Hi all, I'm venturing out with a build of my own this league after not playing POE for a year. Here's what I'm working with, any suggestions to improve the build are welcome:

    https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/daslayaOG/characters

    (Character is flayer__jungle)

2H martyr of innocence with cyclone-coc-purifying flame, stacking 900-1000 of str and int, with consecrated ground everywhere

    Offensively:

    - Battlemage from martyr of innocence

    - Near 100% crit with cyclone and 80%+ crit with purifying flame which comes from righteous providence (and a bit from consecrated ground)

    - 100% accuracy with shapers touch

    - garb of ephemeral buff (not amazing- open to switching the armor)

    RF

    Defensively:

    - 5.2k life/4.9k ES

    - 44% attack block/10% spell block without rumi's

    - Fortify on hit (overlord)

    - corrupted soul which splits dmg to life and ES; both regen (pious path) and leech (watchers eye and energy shield leech node)

    - 4 endurance charges with good uptime (smashing strikes)

    - 79 fire res/75 light res/75 cold res/18 chaos res

    - nearby monsters can't crit (garb of ephemeral buff)

Is 2H the best idea for build or is 1h/shield better? Should i exchange the armor for something better? What should I put in the empty sockets? I feel like my dps/tankiness is pretty good for the level of investment but maybe could be better.

    Posted: 28 May 2021 06:02 AM PDT

Hi guys I tried to league start with Ele hit raider and made a mistake lol. So I rerolled into BF/BB archmage raider. It got me to yellow maps, but it doesn't feel like my playstyle.

Was wondering if any builds like Tornado shot or Infernal blow were viable on a 2ex budget?

I am open to suggestions as well if you guys have any. I like something zoomy but also something I can sink currency into.

Help from the crafting masters needed

    Greetings fellow exiles,

I'm playing a hexblast inquisitor ignite build and I'm currently stuck with a low tier weapon and I can't find what I'm looking for in the market. So I decided to try my luck in crafting but I soon came to find that I have no clue where to start :D. Looking at craft of exile gave me about 1Billion trials of fossils to get what I want xD.

This is what the end result should look like, and this is my POB if anyone wants to leave any pointers on how to increase my ignite DPS.
