Posted: 27 Feb 2020 12:09 AM PST Given how blade spells now leave behind blades that can be animated, we can have an essentially limitless and on demand supply of animated weapons. Assuming these blades make semi decent animated weapons and the skill does not get nerfed to the ground I have the following question, how would you traditionally scale animated weapons? I have never played them before so I'm a bit clueless... I'm mainly thinking in the direction off hatred/wrath and than aof on myself to lower enemy resists but I was wondering if there was something I missed? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Feb 2020 07:36 AM PST This thread is supposed to be for concepts and discussions. Obviously we don't have the Patch notes yet and everything is relative for now. Also, the 4th Skill and the support gems aren't revealed yet, which can potentially change everything drastically. I will try to edit and update as much as possible with new information etc. With 3.10 we are getting a new notable called "Hollow Palm Technique" via the Jewel "One With Nothing".
Unencumbered:
Since the wording is slightly confusing here is a response by Bex_GGG:
Disadvantages:
For PoB Calculation: These Gloves can be added to simulate the damage.
Credit to u/incugus Skills: These are the skills we can use so far (up for change with the new Support/Active skill gems not yet released):
Ascendancies: In the past most "heavy dex stacked" builds were centered around the Ranger and Bow builds but if the goal is "only" achieving 450-500 Dex then you could go with basically any ascendancy. Going with u/Kaelran's quick breakdown:
Edit: As pointed out by u/salufc this comparison downplays the damage potential of Dex stacking by quite a lot. It's more supposed to show that all/most of the ascendancies can work with Hollow Palm Technique as 450-500 Dex is achievable via Gear and some notes on the tree. This means it depends on preference and whether you are in SC or HC. Most interesting to me currently are Raider and Gladiator. Raider for Evasion/Phasing/Frenzy/Claw nodes (see Items) etc. and Gladiator for the Dual-Wield Block nodes. Gladiator (Duelist start) would be safer and Raider (Ranger start) would be faster. Items: Here are some Items that offer nice interactions with unarmed combat and/or Dex stacking. It's very difficult to make a "template" statement with these Items as we are down two strong defensive Items (Shield/Gloves) in regards to Resistances and Life and most of the listed Unique Items come with neither or just Life. So the final build has to be set up around the rares available to you. Weapon: The only viable weapon currently is The Dancing Duo as confirmed by Mark_GGG
Pretty simple concept: Kill as much as you can, as quick as you can so that you constantly generate Rampage which in turn disables the weapon slot and allowing you to continue your Way of the Monk. It can be used with Withering Jar but I guess that there will be more than enough to kill in Delirium. Helmets: Starkonja's Head (Helmet)
A rather easily accessible (unless SSF) Helmet that provides great stats, especially if you are starting new in the league. Crit, Evasion, Life, Attack Speed, and Dex all work very well with this Melee approach. Fractal Thoughts (Helmet)
Most if not all Dex-stacking builds try to implement these as the bonuses provided are simply too good. The only downside is the lack of much life (depends how much Int you can stack) and Resistances. Body Armours: The Perfect Form (Body Armour)
A decent defensive Body Armour. Phase Acro., Life, Evasion Rating and especially the %Increased Dex is great for this the Monk. The downsides are negative Resistances which are already difficult with the rest of your gear and the Limitation on Gem-Slots which might make it difficult to include Arctic Armour in your Build.
Assumably drops from the Delirium Endboss so a Late-game unique. If you are playing Marauder/Duelist Ascendancies and you are planning to include Banner (Impale/Fortify etc.) this one is top tier for sure. The big problem though is the lack of Resistance and the lack of available Gem slots. Boots: Garukhan's Flight (Boots)
Decent unique boots for Dex stacking. With ~2.000 Dex these would provide +400 to Maximum Life, paired with the Immunity to Burning Ground (great for Delving) and a fair bit of utility like MS and Evasion. Downside once again, no Resistances. Belts:
A good amount of Life, great Attribute increase, nice Utility but lacks Resistance. Amulets: Astramentis (Amulet)
Simply nice for its Attributes which can be further increased with Intrinsic Catalysts. The downside of Items like these is lack of Life and Resistances, especially if you consider that we are already down 3 item slots. Rigwald's Curse (Talisman)
Using Claw modifiers for Unarmed combat is insanely good if you consider going the Ranger(Raider) route. Bow Dex-stacking builds used similar approaches in the past with Lioneye's Fall (Applying melee nodes to Bows). Also, it allows a wider range of Mods on your gear (especially on Jewels). Willowgift (Amulet)
Good Res., great Dex increases, up to 25% Attack Speed but the loss of Fortify might not be worth it, depending on your Ascendancy choice, Build overall and League (HC/SC) Jewels: Martial Artistry (Jewel)
Warlord's Reach (Jewel)
Honestly, Warlord's Reach & Martial Artistry aren't worth it. Maybe if you get a strong corruption on it early but any Rare Jewel outshines these by far.
Pugilist (Jewel)
This could potentially be really strong if paired with Rigwald's Curse. Fluid Motion (Jewel)
This one is interesting for Ascendancies which are on the left side of the tree as it helps you scale Dex better. Currently, this is used by many Iron Commander builds to achieve ~2.000 Dex on Hierophants. Flasks:
Well, it's Rumi's :) Edit: Please let me know if the Item stats are "too much". It's bloating really fast, especially if I want to include all viable choices that have some type of synergy or are the common go to's. [link] [comments]
Shockwave totem build - Need help min/max Posted: 27 Feb 2020 03:51 AM PST This is gonna be my leaguestarter for 3.10. Holy flame totem until I get Astral projector, then switch to shockwave totems. I got inspired by Poe.ninja, youtube videos etc. to understand how to scale it. I've done all content including Uber elder and Sirus 8 with current PoB. I made is as budget as I could to realistically use it for the first few weeks, while being able to progress the atlas at a good rate, kill bosses etc. 1-2 deaths on uber elder or sirus 8 is the best I've done, everything else can be done deathless if you play defensive. I would love to get some help making it tankier without loosing damage and ofcourse getting more damage, without going through the roof with expensive items :) . Any feedback is appriciated! Hollow Palm Max Block Gladiator tree. Thoughts? Posted: 26 Feb 2020 07:51 PM PST Note: This tree has 111 points. You can take out points where you want to give you enough for the new passives in the new league. Another note: This is assuming GGG makes the DW weapon nodes work with unarmed. Pretty far fetched i know. [link] [comments]
Need help optimizing my chieftain Posted: 26 Feb 2020 04:59 PM PST So I'm making a tectonic slam fire conversion chieftain and was looking for advice before I go into the game and playing it. I was looking for optimizations on the skill tree and any other points I could improve. I have the gear pretty much set out already, I just need help on how to improve my skill tree. Planning in Antici...pation (of Cluster Jewels) Posted: 26 Feb 2020 11:06 PM PST Seeing as a major new feature of the upcoming league is the addition of cluster jewels to the passive tree, it's very hard to plan around what kinds of options will be available to players. What I've tried to do here is setup a skeleton tree for a character that's spending 20+ points on passives from cluster jewels. I chose jugg because it's a fairly safe and well rounded class for just about any attack skill. My reasoning for pathing as I have here, is that the further you travel towards a "seed" socket, the more impactful *some* of those branches may be. In this case, it was 22 points to reach the outer socket on the edge of marauder and templar areas. If we consider the jewel which had "20% increased effect of granted passives per skill point traveled", this would mean a minimum of 440% increased effect of modifiers on that jewel. I had also considered a slightly longer path, but I wanted this skeleton tree to assume that one is speccing & unspeccing as more powerful cluster jewels become available to them, while also not limiting these bones to shields, 2h, dual wielding, or any specific weapon type. Additionally, jugg is a spec which often follows along much of the path I've laid out, picking up weapon specific nodes along the bottom left trail to fill out additional endurance charge nodes and optional scaling for those nodes. I tried to mostly focus on picking up life nodes and jewel sockets as well. I hope this very unfinished proto-pre-concept of a generic attack based jugg comes in handy when we see that list of 280 new passives come out, and that cluster jewels end up being as exciting and powerful as they look! Here's the tree, from which to imagine the possibilities [link] [comments]

Need help improving my Cyclone Slayer. Any help appreciated! Posted: 26 Feb 2020 01:58 PM PST Hi there, I have been playing this build for a while now and just don`t know how/what to improve. Have about 13ex to work with https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/aderbur/characters?characterName=megalovania PoB: https://pastebin.com/WnLj64hp Note: Point Blank is chaged to Corrupted Soul (Glorious Vanity (Doryani)) Thanks in advance. Thoughts on my CoC Ice Nova build? Posted: 26 Feb 2020 01:22 PM PST Hello, i made my first CoC build this league and just leveled my Awakened CoC gem to lvl 4 and got some cdr boots to reach exactly 52% cooldown recovery speed. Didn't do that much testing yet but single target damage didn't really feel that much better than before (with only 14% cdr). Here's my POB: https://pastebin.com/8fRQv5UD Any feedback on what could be improved is appreciated! [link] [comments]
Divine ire totems, Hrimsorrow (or CotB) freezing and shocking crit Heirophant. Posted: 26 Feb 2020 11:32 AM PST I am looking at a few 3.10 build options and have not done a totem starter in a few leagues, don't really want to do FP totems just because. So it will likely be soul mantle, kikazairu self curse setup to start with obvious room to invest in other things. Questions are what's the best way to freeze in terms of conversion, my PoB workup was around 200k-400k dps depending on shock and if I wanted to guarantee it with skitteebots. So is 200k cold damage on crits enough to freeze most content with 1.5m+ lazors for bosses? [link] [comments]
Build/gear advice. Arc elementalist, first time player Posted: 26 Feb 2020 10:55 AM PST Started playing this league and rolled an arc mage, have been fine so far but now I hit a wall named Drox while attempting to kill him a fourth time. I simply lack the DPS needed to kill him (50-100k tooltip arc dps). It takes me too much time to kill a banner. My big flaw is that I prefer unique items even though they are not best in slot but I don't really know what stats to look for on rares. https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/raziel_walker/characters?characterName=Xcianne What gear, skills or gems should I change to make killing Drox easier? Build that goes well with an Aura bot Posted: 26 Feb 2020 10:41 AM PST Hello everyone, ill be playing with together with a friend of mine who wants to play an Aurabot next league. Are there any builds that synergize well with an Aura bot besides the usual Elemental Bow builds? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Feb 2020 07:36 AM PST So i got a hankering to try a new build (got sick of EQ JUGG) and the CoC ice assassin peaked my interest. There are like 47463873 build variations. Are there any particular build/profiles people are using with great success? I def think i want to go double cospri [link] [comments] |
