    Arc-Archmage Build Suggestion

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 01:32 AM PST

I'm trying to find an arc archmage build and I come up with some class choice. Can you guys recommend me a league starter build for arc archmage to start mayhem tomorrow? If can, it'll be very nice if you can provide me some information about strength/weakness of each ascendancy. Thanks.

Coming over from Grim Dawn to POE - Help!

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 10:31 AM PST

    Hey friends!

I just finished playing through Act 1 of POE in the Heist League and have had a blast so far. I went pretty slow and killed everything I saw for a few hours - found my first unique item and am really excited about the rest of the game... But I'll admit I'm a bit lost.

I started reading through all of the FAQs and beginner's guides and watched a few streams for a bit... and holy shit there is a lot to this game.

    It is quite daunting.

I've started a Shadow character - and was wondering if there are any good beginner builds you would recommend for someone with very little game knowledge? Are there Items or Uniques that i should really keep an eye out for? or Set items?

    Thanks in advance! :)

    Caster BF/BB RF Chieftain

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 04:35 AM PST

Hi fellow exiles, Have you ever played as a league starter the fire BF/BB RF Chieftain from the play with me of Zizaran ? He showed how to level it but with leveling gear. Would you think it would work as a league-starter without any investment ?

I like the idea of ascendant archmage arc but in a SSF environment how bad is it? I know you might not get arc till act 3 siosa so how painful is it to level?

Pathfinder - Pestilent Strike vs Viper Strike w/ Melee Splash for clear

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 02:03 PM PST

So what are people's thoughts on this? I have been planning to go Pathfinder - Poison attack for Mayhem, and I am doing some testing on standard. Using a claw, Viper Strike + Melee Splash just seems to clear slightly better than Pestilent Strike, while also retaining slightly higher DPS while using Melee Splash.

Using Vile Toxins, Unbound Ailments, Deadly Ailments, and Added Chaos on both.

For Viper, testing with Melee Splash. For Pestilent, testing with Multistrike (i realize Melee phys as one of the links is also an option). Have Tribal Fury in both cases for the "strike additional targets."

Right now, it feels like the Pathfinder prolif carries Viper Strike so well for clear that it makes Pestilent a bit irrelevant. In summary, with Pestilent, I tend to go in and make sure I kill white/blue mobs if they're around rares to ensure the secondary debuff spreads, and end with the rare. Target the rare first, and although Tribal Fury gets on other guys, that secondary damage of Pestilent isnt spreading quickly. On the other hand, with Viper, I can target anything as the splash does enough damage to quickly kill multiple white/blue mobs to proliferate the poison. Whole packs pop at once. the only thing I've seen with Pestilent is that it seems to MAYBE spread to more mobs when things are very tightly packed.

EDIT: I should also add I was playing with a shield. Going dual wield claws makes VS+MS increase its lead by more.

Anybody else have any observations or think I am missing something?

Layered Defenses and LL ES Builds

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 10:14 AM PST

TLDR - respecced from life to LL, lost dodge, evasion and Wind Dancer + Kintsugi, build feels paper AF?

I respecced a CoC Bladefall/Bladeblast Assassin into LL with Shavs and Prism Guardian. The transition entailed having to give up Acro/Phase Acro and Wind Dancer, since taking a 30% less to ES probably isn't the best idea. Also, I had to swap Kintsugi for Shavs, losing both a ton of evasion as well as the pseudo-Wind Dancer. As a result, the character deals a lot of damage but also takes a lot of damage, even though I have a higher ES pool than I had life, and I had to hotswap Vaal Grace for my originally planned Zealotry on the Prism Guardian to patch this.

I'm not sure how a LL build using Prism Guardian can layer defenses. Block is gone because Glancing Blows is now on the opposite side of the tree instead of being on a Timeless Jewel, so ES on block builds like Ziz was running a few leagues ago won't work. Dodge from Acro and Phase Acro is out of the question because it's 30% less EHP. You have no mana to MOM, and since I'm playing Assassin, I don't have access to Trickster's defensive nodes.

What other ways are there of layering defenses on a LL character? I'm thinking one of the ways is to sac Prism Guardian and just run BM auras somewhere else so I can get a higher ES shield, but that doesn't feel like it fixes the problem. The best I can do right now is keep up Fortify via Shield Charge, keep Flesh and Stone in Sand Stance, turn on Vaal Grace every once in a while, and just try not to get hit.

    POBs for reference:

League Starter/SSF Berserker, what builds for mayhem?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 11:57 AM PST

Looking for builds for Mayhem. Requirement needs to be the Berserker Ascendancy. Tired of going frost blades-cyclone-flicker.

Nothing with warcry management, nor poor clear. Just not a fan of the warcry archetype.

I'm the guy that builds flicker every mayhem, turmoil, and flashback so I need some variety when leveling ya know :) I intend to use whatever build until I get required gear for flicker to begin.

    Build to kill Sirius

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 02:38 PM PST

So far I have tried a summon phantasm necromancer and ground slam + call of steel champion.
The necromancer feels super squish but gets the job done most of the time. The champion feels way to tedious to set up in the Sirius fight.

Are there any builds that are simpler/let me focus more on dodging while still doing a good amount of damage?

    Delve past 3000

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 05:34 PM PST

Hi this isn't so much for endless delve but for the league in general. What are some good starting points for a deep delve build? I see on poeninja that the gear is a few exalts past my paygrade and wanted to know if I would be able to craft cheaper gear that might see me similar results

    Builds for Mayhem?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 01:46 PM PST

I'm thinking I'll play Zizaran's ED/Cont Trickster, as I feel like there's not much to fuck up. That said, I'm not a new player, but I would like to try to get lvl 95 for a chance for all the rewards (except for the lvl 100 one, that's completely out of the question)

Since there's gonna be a fuckton of mobs in every single zone, I feel like clear speed is going to be much more important than single target. For the same reason, I'd say having really strong defences is going to be essential as well.

I guess I'm just looking for build recommendations based on the aforementioned criteria. I would highly highly prefer a build guide as I want as little room for fuckups as possible, because I feel like there won't be enough time to level 2 chars if you wanna get lvl 95.

    Thanks in advance.

LF ideas on Pathfinder Wanderer, KB or PS

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 02:51 PM PST

Just looking for suggestions looking to switch it up mid league. Any recommendations or builds that someone can link. I don't exactly know what to do for my Passive tree.

I'm thinking something using all the abyssal socket jewels cause those are interesting and fun.

I have an explody wand that I've had for a while so I'll prolly use that.

This will be my first wand build as I almost always do a bow build.

Cospri LL CoC Ice Nova - Squishy - help?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 06:14 PM PST

Ive dropped about 200exalts into this build so far and damage is pretty solid, but i am getting randomly 1 shotted by some bosses and random rares on occasion. I dont have my cluster jewels yet so maybe that will help, but what else am I missing?

Ive never run low life or cospris build before. One thing i find is when i cycle I slow down so much i become vulnerable.

Frost Blades Raider for Endless Delve?

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 01:29 PM PST

Looking for some feedback on a build I'm thinking about for Endless Delve.

I'm mostly looking for levels, so bossing isn't a huge concern outside the few nodes with an beefy unique guarding them. I'm drawn to the raider because it checks the boxes of elemental immunity and phasing basically 100% of the time. Frost Blades is definitely negotiable, but I wanted freeze and group coverage and this seemed like a good way to get that. I'd be willing to consider Ice Shot, but don't have a lot of knowledge about it.

POB is all rares, most of them pretty mediocre with some uniques to swap into if I find them. Fight for Survival is pretty common, so I'd expect 1 but maybe not 2. (Gloves are EV/ES because of coloring trouble w/o a bench)

    370k - 500k Shaper DPS w/o the boys.

    Thanks in advance.

what to upgrade on aura stacker

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 10:24 PM PST

so I have about 55 ex dumped into this build, and it's working really well. my damage only really drops off in deep mist, and I do get 1 shot/shotguned once about every 2 or 3 maps, which is annoying because I lose my mist. what should I aim for in this? https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/mr_tac0/characters (the char is this_build_is_trash)

zDPS Tanky Darkness /Fractured Wall Farmer 1.5k+ depth

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 03:55 PM PST

Previously I was using this: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2777502

It worked for a bit but now my poor pathfinder is dying a lot. I was wondering:

Is there a way to salvage and pump up the survivability of this build with extra investment?
If so then what do I need?

If not, then what build can survive long enough to pick shit up this far down and with super speed?

Looking for Help with a Dark Pact Build

    Posted: 02 Dec 2020 12:13 PM PST

I haven't played in a couple leagues and I've been itching to get back in time for the next league.

I love the concept of building a lazy Cyclone-CwC-Dark Pact build. The issue with Dark Pact is that the chaining only works off of skeletons.

Is there any reliable way to not only auto-summon the skeletons (CWDT, heartbound loops, etc.) but also to make them aggressive enough to lead the charge while I'm spinning across the screen? Or will they always be lagging behind?

    Thanks in advance!
