    DPS aside, why is every single build video so FAST?! Attack/cast speed is always insane, and move speed seems like it's 200%+ on every build. I'm lucky to maintain 90-100% with flasks up

    tl;dr I have tank and deeps, where speed?

    This might be a bit of a rant, I apologize. I've gotten halfway decent at making my own builds. It's the thing I enjoy most about the game. I like taking a build from concept to an end-game gauntlet of T16 juiced farming, boss rotations (Sirus, Shaper, Elder, Maven, 4-ways, 10-ways, etc), and then calling the build done and starting the next (usually dumb) idea. I'm likely to invest a max of 20ex into each build unless I get some lucky drops, get a stash of ex and craft some good stuff.

    I've gotten better with my builds of squeaking out DPS and survivability, but speed continues to be the one thing that escapes me, unless I'm running a Raider where it basically comes for free.

    It seems like every build video/showcase I've ever watched has people moving at light speed. Most of my builds get a nice 30-35% MS boot, maybe elusive on crit if I'm lucky, and Silver+QS flask. But if you don't insta-delete the screen, which many of my builds don't since I try to build well-rounded characters that aren't focused solely on mapping, keeping them up 100% of the time is tough.

    So does everyone in these build videos run 10ex Elusive + Tailwind 35% ms w/ 15% ms enchant plus perma-onslaught etc? Are all flasks rolled with a move speed suffix? Obviously any build video with Mageblood this league doesn't count because that's two mirrors worth of "All of my flasks are insane all the time", but just your generic "look at this cool build!" video has people clearing maps in like 2 minutes (which nobody stops to loot anything, but that's its own issue).

    My best clear build this league was my Arc Ignite build which 1-shots legion and I grabbed elusive on crit boots, but it still feels like a snail compared to every video ever. It still takes me more than a couple minutes to clear a map because I also stop to actually loot stuff.

    Also cast/attack speed? How is every single build constantly doing like 10 attacks/casts per second? I swear there's not that much on the tree and gear is maybe only getting you like 5-7% per slot, yet somehow a 1.6aps weapon is getting to like 8 or 10 aps. It's crazy. I understand scaling damage, getting them average hits up, but I don't think I've built a single character out of 60-70 builds in the past 1600 hours that's hit the kind of speed I see in these videos.

    What am I missing? Where is all this speed coming from? Especially on boss-killers where it's obvious the goal is to have the most single-target DPS possible, yet somehow even the "boss-killers" are obscenely fast, still clear a map instantly, while also deleting bosses like they don't exist.

    Sorry again for the rant. I probably shouldn't post this right after watching a Mageblood video since that literally doesn't count, but it just reminds me that even non-Mageblood videos do the same thing.

    What's the most fun build you've ever played?

    I recently dropped a mageblood and spent most of the money I got from that on a build I'm going to play, but I have a lot left, and I've never had this much before so I'm interested in trying out some of the higher end builds.

    The most fun I've ever had was probably my self cast arc scion with shimmerons and overleech in delve league.

    HoT Autobomber POB

    Reaching Sirus for the first time ever. Is my build tanky enough?

    So I'm reaching my first ever Sirus fight (that's a lie I accidentally summoned him earlier thinking it would bring up a menu like the conquerors and subsequently died) and want to know whether I'm ready or there's anything I need to change so that I can live through it.

    Currently running PF PC based on a mix of Nugi's original and updated build along with looking at others running PF PC.

    Some things to note:

    • I'm so close to lvl 93 (I just noticed I was missing one passive skill quest)
    • I only have 5k hp and 550 es, with capped res, 80% evasion, 100% spell suppression and 24/25 block. I still feel like I get oneshot, just not that often.
    • My DPS in PoB is 6 mil.
    • I'm currently using an onhit despair, but if I switched to blasphemy despair I'd hit 7.5mil, but I wouldn't be able to use tempest shield for the block and my mana sustain situation isn't great.
    • My evasion is 33k with flasks, but compared to some other builds that seems quite low. I'm not sure whether it should be higher.
    • I think my only remaining "easy" upgrade is my second ring, but the amount of chaos res and accuracy on it is really helpful

    With this setup am I looking comfortable to kill Sirus?

    Also, does overcapping my chaos resistance also increase my damage due to "+1% chaos damage over time per 4% chaos resistance"? (Checked in PoB, doesn't seem like it does)

    Endless Delve - Cold DOT Occultist Discussion and Questions

    Background

    I'm looking at doing a CI based cold DOT occultist again for endless delve. I took it to around 1000 depth last time and the temp chains+chill really made it a lot easier. I haven't really played in about a year, so i'm catching up on changes (e.g. nerf to EO and acrobatics) so if I'm missing something please let me know.

    Curses: I'm looking at two or three curses with curse effectiveness. Temp Chains + Frostbite + Ele Weakness. Temp chains or Ele Weakness on a glove corruption and frostbite on a ring. Third curse will either not be used (if I go Profane Bloom instead of Malediction) or manually applied / curse on hit.

    Question 1 (Ascendancy points):

    I think Frigid Wake (freeze/chill immune) and Vile Bastion (Stun immune) are still pretty much necessary. But I wasn't positive on the fourth one... Now that Malediction isn't dependent upon Profane Bloom, it looks like we have flexibility to choose either Profane Bloom or Malediction. What would you recommend Profane Bloom or Malediction??

    • Profane Bloom has corpse clearing benefit which is huge on endless delve (and helps for curse immunity). I do plan to use a Void Sphere-Frost Bomb-Inc Duration three link which was a superstar for corpse clearing last time but given it isn't up 100% of the time, I think profane bloom is still excellent for more removal.

    • Malediction would increase overall damage along with allowing a third curse and more effectiveness. It also offers a little bit of protection but it has diminishing returns when you start reaching depths of one shots.

    Question 2 (Auras)

    I'm looking at running four auras with top left and top right aura reservation clusters. Clarity (with 100% reduced reservation "mana mastery"), Malevolence, and Discipline (with 25% reduced reservation). For the fourth aura i'm considering either Determination (with 25% reduced reservation) or Grace (with 25% reduced reservation).

    Which would you recommend for deep delving - Determination or Grace? Would you recommend starting with Determination and respecing to Grace? Is spell damage much of a threat (i.e. Suppression+Acrobatics for some dodge)

    • Determination: Requires pathing down left side of tree to Combat Stamina cluster. Can take Divine Shield to help recovery. Downside is that it will only help with little hits as the harder one-shots will still take you out.

    • Grace. Requires pathing down right side of tree to Survivalist node (or maybe Revenge of Hunted). Will be weaker at lower depths where one shots aren't an issue. Allows option to potentially spec into Suppression+Acrobatics (but I'm not sure spell damage is really a big deal)

    I'm leaning towards Determination and maybe leveling up a Grace gem in my offhand.

    Trying to Build a Fireball (non-Mine) Chieftan

    I've been thinking about how to plan a Fireball/Ignite build. Chieftain seemed to have some key skills, such as the Covered In Ash abilities.

    However after a lot of planning and item picking, PoB is showing a measly 137K dps at level 90. My low-80's Ice Crasher is doing 600K+.

    Is non-Mine Fireball just not playable? Any ideas/input is appreciated: https://pastebin.com/448597yn

    I'm not sure I'm using PoB right - turning off the Config option for "Is enemy burning?" doesn't seem to affect the DPS numbers.

    Skele Mage Build help

    I am struggling with 30 wave simulacrum. I know there are items that I need to upgrade but I am unsure what will give me the most. I will link my PoB below and hopefully someone can give some pointers. I am trying to stick to Von Viktons skele mage build as best as I can with the current budget.

    Currently sitting on 15ex. I am looking to upgrade my weapon next but that is also the most expensive. PoB says I am pulling roughly 8.5 mil DPS but it does not feel like it.

    Worth unallocating Resolute Technique if I have a Headhunter equipped?

    I am playing Grimro's Corrupting Fever Tornado shot Gladiator, and on his POB he doesn't have Resolute Technique, originally I thought this was a mistake and I have been using it, but now that I have a Headhunter (as does he) I am wondering if the reason he doesn't allocate it is to take advantage of more Headhunter buffs. Without RT I have a 72% chance to hit with Tornado Shot

    [Help] How can I take my Skellie Mage build to the next level?

    Background: Hi guys. I've been playing Skeleton Mage exclusively this league, and have a gotten to the point where I can easily do all end-game bosses. Where I would like to progress from here is:

    1. Clear speed.
    2. Survivability

    As you can see in my POB, I'm only level 94 because I am dying a lot. Is this partially my fault? Totally! My playstyle is becoming increasingly rushed, trying to push for faster clear, and this results in me dying more than I would otherwise if I was more patient.

    Budget: I have about 50ex to spent on upgrades

    Upgrades I've identified:

    1. I'm currently only using 10 Skeletons as I've traded the Alberon's Warpath for my current Rare boots for survivability. Getting a +1 skeleton krangle on the Alberons would be a decent upgrade.
    2. One big impediment with my current setup is that Summon Skeletons is socketed in helmet. This is GREAT for DPS, but terrible for clear speed. This is because I can't realistically socket Spell Echo in there, so I summon only a couple of skeletons at once. Perhaps switching to chest for clear may be better?
    3. %Life / % ES on block for shield.
    4. +40 Skeleton dmg on helm, as well as rerolling suffixes to get open slot + Hypothermia to get +1 skeletons.
    5. Better rolled +1int necklace

    Any help at all would be super appreciated!

    Hi! Been trying to make a Slayer Doomfletch Prism Character in standard. So far its been going well, clear has been decent but bossing and elemental damage has been a struggle.

    Some defensive stats to see without importing pob:

    • 4.6k Hp -> 2269 unreserved (working on levels to finish scion life wheel)

    • 75% max res with wise oak balance

    • -32% chaos res unfortunately

    • 43k armour standing in hideout -> 140-150k with flasks/charges/wind dancer up

    • 10k molten shell

    • CB/Bleed immune

    I'm currently running secrets of suffering to help with crit though I've only really gotten to 6-8% effect on bosses at t16.

    The goal is to take this character to do at least a8 sirus, uber elder and most maven invitations (feared optional) while still mapping well enough (can always swap in HH).

    Which Minion Build (HCS)

    Hey everyone! I've tried a few builds this league and have made it to like t6 maps. I'm not the greatest player so my characters end up dying to some sort of one shot that I don't understand.

    I want to try a minion build because I haven't played one in a few leagues and I am torn between builds I have seen on here, just not sure which one has more potential.

    1. SRS with triple offering. It uses the corpsewalk boots, the belt that allows you to have one of each offering active and a staff that auto casts the offerings

    2)Absolution (similar to Kripp/Mathil's build)

    *Edit*- To add a little more context. I have never played a "normal" SRS build, only ever the exploding SRS, which I enjoyed but I felt that the damage tapered off too quickly (probably because I didn't gear properly or invest enough). I have never played absolution, but I think it looks pretty interesting, just not sure how well it performs after the campaign. I also know that skelly mages are really popular right now and I played them a long time ago, I just wasn't a fan of them.

    I have about 2.5-3 ex worth of currency I can invest to start.

    Currently playing death aura occultist , while I love the explosions it's a bit slow on the movement speed side. Looking for something that can clear T16 faster and kill map bosses under 10 sec. Doesn't need to be able to do big bosses , I switch to my 5ex seismic trapper for them.

    I'm doing fine mapping and some invitations (regional invitations, not Feared or such). I die obviously to one shots and some rippy mods, or when i don't pay attention to bosses slams.

    Dps seems fine even if i can't calculate the number of projectiles that hit enemies, i managed to kill A8 Sirus in a few minutes..

    What's the next "logical" or best upgrade for me? I have around 4 ex in currency.

    Help with Rigwald Duo Theme Build

    I have been tinkering with a build for weeks now, but haven't had time to sit down and play it proper. I'm hoping to get a little advice before I sink much more time into it, in case I am barking up the wrong tree. PoB is here:

    The primary constraint is that I want to use Rigwald's Savagery & Rigwald's Command for a significant portion of the game. (I'm pretty sure that you can replace Rigwald's Savagery with a specially crafted axe much later on) This means scaling rage & bleed, which landed me on Lacerate since most of the slam skills do not work with swords.

    I feel like the build is tolerable right now, but it's definitely missing some other big gimmick to really make it great, either defensively or offensively.

    Can anyone suggest big defensive tactics that would pair well with this, or common bleed build tools that I'm missing? Should I just forgo hit damage altogether, find a way to perfect agony and use deadly ailments? I'm not too attached to most of the current passive tree, and the rare equipment is just placeholders.

    Edit: There is a custom 24% more modifier to lacerate's bleed damage, which is based on using awakened multistrike. It seems reasonable that the bleeds from repeats 3 & 4 of multistrike would contribute the 8 total bleeds for crimson dance, so that factor represents the average of those two hits, and the less attack damage multiplier from multistrike. (1.44 + 1.66)/2 * 0.80 = 1.24 Not sure if that's a correct way to estimate the effect.

    Am i missing some easy upgrades on my corrupting fever gladiator?

    Hey guys, my whole build is worth about 30-40 exalts probably but im not a big brain player just some lucky gambas.

    Arakaali Fang Guardian

    Hey guys,

    currently doing an Arakaali Fang Guardian and having a good time. Killed my first A8 Sirius first try tanking the die beams. Any1 has Ideas to increase the dps without loosing a bunch of defenses?

    Magic Finding Lightning Arrow vs Tornado Shot

    Hi guys I have been messing around with MF T3 towers. It has been a blast and I realize I like Tornado shot better but it doesn't shock. Should I be using Lightning Arrow just for the shock with Windripper? Or the quant doesn't really matter because I really like the feel of Tornado shot.

    Ignite Elementalist not...igniting

    Set-up: I'm leveling the aforementioned build to make an autobomber. I have completed first lab, took shaper of flames "your hits always ignite."

    Just to test for leveling I'm using arma brand, wave of conviction, and fireball.

    I have Berek's respite.

    I am NOT using ele focus in any links.

    Problem: Only one of my skills will ignite at a time. Not two ignites on one enemy, I mean ignite ANY enemy. All are over 50% chance to ignite, and shaper of flames. I can sit and watch a pack of monsters die to arma brand hits and they will never ignite but wave of conviction kills everything on the screen through Berek's. If I change out the gems full stop 4 for 4 from gloves (lochtonial caress), to boots (wanderlust) to helm (goldrim) arma brand will ignite but fireball and wave won't.

    I'm legit stuck. The build plays fine. Dmg is fine, leveling is easy. But it annoys me so much it's hard to level this character. Anyone ever experienced this before?

    BF GC with CoC instead of CwC?
