Would like all worb experts to share if the skill will be able to do end game viable without Eternity Shroud and much currency (never had the luck with monies) or am I better off doing it on an Elementalist and scale pure elemental dmg? | Posted: 10 May 2019 11:00 AM PDT So... here's the idea. I'm going to spend Flashback and the next 3.7 league testing out builds, using blue items ONLY*, that reach 80k DPS by level 80, with an eye to getting some starter builds for later leagues. Ideally, when 4.0 rolls around, I'd like to have a few possible options for new players who are coming into the game absolutely fresh with no idea what to build, no idea how to craft, no idea how to sift through all the rare items that show up, no idea how to use trade to get uniques, and who don't want to waste tons of hours only to see the endgame drastically out-scale them. In other words, I don't want them to go through what I went through, where my first "high-level" character got to 85 and struggled through end-game content. So far, the first two candidates I'm testing are a way way waaaaaaay stripped-down version of a Mathil Ethereal Knives Trickster build, along with a bog-standard summoning necro. The theoretical DPS on the budget version of Mathil's EK-T build is 77k, but that's in PoB and I have no idea how it's going to play out for realsies. The necro, at the very least, should be able to power its way through to the Atlas, although ideally I'd like to be able to do it deathless. Also, the one exception to the "Blue Items only" rule is that the guaranteed unique jewel drops are fair game, since everybody gets them and there's no RNG there. What THAT means is I'll be looking to see if there are more options available there. Anyhow, that's the idea. Feel free to shit all over it. Although, if you don't think it's a complete waste of time, then apart from the EK Trickster and the Necro, any suggestions for builds you think ought to work? EDIT: Thanks to those who've responded so far! The question of links came up. I think 5-linking is totally reasonable for the challenge. Now, personally, I'm going to limit myself at first to 4-links, and test to make sure that the build is strong enough so that it can Delve deep enough to eventually get the 5-link recipe. But yeah, if you need a 5-link to get the necessary DPS, then... you need a 5-link to get the necessary DPS. EDIT2: Also, before the question is asked, why 80/80? It's easy for me to remember. I didn't want the build to have to rely on getting to Level 100, and 80k DPS just felt like a really good number for the early part of endgame content. [link] [comments]  |

Anyway, I love the reworked Trickster ascendency and feel like it's benefits need no explanation, but having no experience with either of these 2 skills, I figured I'd ask reddit to help a brutha out before I glue myself to my comp all weekend. You rain down spells while you flicker that will make you very hard to kill while being immune to physical dmg with perma IC It's pretty cheap. I think I used ~8 Ex and I don't even know what else to spend on it other than the curse enchant. Edit: I ran this through Guardians for Reference. | Arakaali's Fang/Raise Spiders: Synthesis Flashback league start viability/advice Posted: 10 May 2019 10:41 AM PDT Hey guys I didn't get into Synthesis too much because of a combination of the league mechanic/playing so much betrayal. I have wanted to give it another shot with the flashback league and have wanted to try an Arakaali's fang build for a while now. I would say I'm a novice/intermediate player maybe. I killed shaper/UE in betrayal, have an okay understanding of the game but I feel I rely a lot on guides, videos etc. especially when branching out to a new build/playstyle etc. to learn any mechanics or info I've been ignoring. Anyways I was planning on using this guide http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2302798 but was wondering what would you do in a league start scenario where you need to make a little currency to buy the dagger first? Would you advises against this or is doing something like SRS until then doable. I see in current synthesis league Arakaali's fang is like 20-30c is it reasonable to believe that even at a league start that the dagger would be a reasonable price to rush to. I have main character and have been trying to make a new character work with no success. I know very little about character building, and all I really want to do in this game is play as a cool shadow guy with a sword and shield and rush around the battlefield looking cool. If anyone can direct me to a sword and shield shadow build thats viable end game, or give me some pointers I'd be so grateful, because googling that turns up nothing of interest. | Can't decide if I want to go Lightning Trap or Storm Brand for Flashback Posted: 10 May 2019 06:55 AM PDT Currently torn between Inquisitor Storm Brand and Sabo Lightning Trap . Although instead of Lightning trap I will most likely want to use Shock Nova trap as I just enjoy that explosion way more than those balls Lightning trap does. Which of these kinda would deal more damage early on ? Once I build some currency I think I want to try some sort of Flicker Strike build since I kinda like lazy builds as my hand tends to get tired after just few maps. Although Don't think Flicker is that ideal for delving. My Goal is mostly delving and maybe farming Shaper or even boring Ulab. [link] [comments]  |
