I present you, the hardest item to bless in the game.

I know some uniques lost their uniqueness due to expanding mod pool for ordinary items. But was this dagger ever "unique"?

My Newbie experience and questions - after a week

    Posted: 17 May 2019 09:19 AM PDT

Thank you all for answering!!! I'm good

Age 55, playing since Doom & Quake.

Just finishing Act 4, lvl 47 Templar.

I mostly research things on poe wiki.

Just started reading POE on Reddit. Have many Questions. please feel free to answer whatever you can.

my source of playing has been this document:

    https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1931216

    and this tree:

    https://poeplanner.com/ABAAALEAECUAAFX53YuMhIPmfe8hwGYEs6IA8B-u_zwF73yCm9WmMPg62CcvkFUaOFnzcg-Ub2ZUZp5aKyoTwxOj8vrSFm_jah0UjmT3prb6j0anCNgkNsWD806usTauEuvuhTKXLUlPvKoc3I8amuBFnVNSHwIEB4PbVcY6WEyz0B_v60V-Dlxq-peVUlM9X66zQZbQ9QVCLJy86mpDCPTr5F8qaFoEUToWhoJYbWQzKyYDmgAAAAAA

On Reddit, I read a this comment:

"Having to spend almost an hour trading for sextants, fragments, chisels, alchs sometimes, breaking exalts into chaos for zana mods, and prophecies if in going hard just kills my motivation to juice maps when my pool runs low."

this means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to me. Make no sense. Obviously its higher level stuff, but not encouraging.

    means nothing: SSF? MTX?

How is it I'm level 41 and my player looks like he came outta the slums, and other lower level peeps have glowing Djinn and wings?

While Delving, when I finish an encounter, the screen is filled with loot - and frequently I don't pick up anything? Is this normal?

last night, I have found myself only looking for 4L or higher items - yet when I was starting (levels <20 lets say) I would pick up many BLUE and every YELLOW item, ID it and Sell it in town. Now there's so much crap I don't even care. And I don't want to waste my playing time picking up 5/8 items and porting back to town, rinse, repeat. Is this normal?

At level 40, I might find a Unique item that I can't use. Lets say it gives bonus with a Shield. I'm not going to use a shield. Do I leave it in the cave? How can I give this to someone who can use it? What should I do with it?

Even a 3L or 4L nice item that I know I'm not going to use. Shouldn't some other player use it? Its not worth bringing to town to sell for scrap.

I don't even understand red maps & white maps? What is this you speak of? I'm just playing the game like I did Neverwinter Nights or Diablo. Just how much am I supposed to read and investigate to learn how to play a game? This thing seems massive and like I've only scratched the surface.

discussion about an Auction House - just like heading to town (starts to become too much effort), I should be able to right click on an item and "Send to Auction" - but if it was that easy, millions of items would go. Maybe have a session limit to how many items you can post or a cap at your auction house per player?

Memory nodes - I leave tons of crap there too - yellow or not - all its going to get me is some fragments in town (unless its tricolor and I can get a colored orb). I started trying to only bring back fractured items but trying to get 3 of a class has just filled up 2 tabs with un-matched items waiting for a 3rd matching class item.

Whats the point of a memory area or Delve location if you just abandon everything/99% of what you find?

So i just started a Templar last week? When do I "hit maps"? This seems to be a stopping point for some?

I have tons ("tons", thats relative) of orbs of all kinds - haven't really used anything.

    Have not crafted anything.

Don't do anything in my hideout.

Other than do quests, hack & slash, thats all I do.

And thats even boring, due to 2 GC Totems & a Stone Golem. Its kinda boring and the same thing over and over.

Killing Malachi was the hardest thing in the game - he is resistant to Elem Damage (which I think is mostly what I do) so that was a 7 minute grind of running around - luckily it doesn't appear dying has any drawback - get to respawn and come back in and continue. If I would have had to do that 5 minutes again against Malachi I would have been pissed. In any event, its just press some buttons and run around - make totems, do a curse, run around, may a heal, rinse repeat for 7 minutes.

I used to be the kind thru level 20s lets say, who would completely map an area to the last nook & cranny - now I don't give a crap about opening worthless chests and every encounter is boring and not even hard.

Finding the Delve was cool - and its things like this that I have to say GGG has done a great job on to keep the game fresh. Cause I was already over the boring hack & slash - at least Delve was a new twist until I was out of the Yellow stuff and couldn't continue past my 5th stop.

When some "new league" comes out - do I start another character over? And everything I'm building now won't be used? And then I have to run all these maps/quests over again? I doubt I'll do that.

I have never communicated with another POE player in the game or IRL. Should I be teaming up at this point?

    Haven't done PVP either.

I don't really need to be playing this game - it has me hooked, but I can just as easily snap out of it and get back to my senses :) thanks in advance for any tips & replies!

So this is what I've doing in memory nexus

So this is what I've doing in memory nexus

    UPDATE: There's a video now: https://youtu.be/9uFArp4FsMQ

By stacking certain modifers and triple them, I've created a perfect shaper item farming area. I've got 2 shaper Opal Rings, 1 Shaper Marble Amulet and 3 5 Void Sceptres and tons of other items so far. It took me 2 weeks to set these up.

    The modifers

And this is the result on the last charge (total I have 3 charges each island and I have 5 identical island)

Of all the dead lore characters who haven't been "brought back" yet, who would you most like to see/battle ingame?

    Posted: 17 May 2019 11:47 AM PDT

My personal choice is Lioneye, if you don't count that green skeleton.

Honest question: why is Winter Orb allowed to shotgun?

    Posted: 17 May 2019 04:55 AM PDT

Pretty much the title: shotgun as mechanic used to be crazy back then and that's why it was removed years ago, and if there were some skills that still shotgunned, it was either some weak or clunky situation (ie. pre-rework Arctic Breath).

So why is Winter Orb allowed to do so? I know I'm going to tank a lot of downvotes because WO is used by pretty much everyone, it's THE SKILL in the racing meta and most streamers play it so the fanboys will click that downvote button in no time, but I still would like some serious answers, if possible.

Any way to know what is written on the fountain of Oriath ?

I’ll be doing a preview/interview for POE in a few hours. Are there any particular questions or issues you’d want to address?

    Posted: 17 May 2019 09:20 AM PDT

Hey, r/pathofexile. It's that time of the year again and yep, the next big one is right around the corner. I'll be covering it in a preview/interview later on.

Do you folks have any particular questions or concerns that you'd like to address? I may have time to ask about these things later.

Note: I did something similar on this sub before Betrayal's release, and then I wrote about the community's reception as well.

Was there supposed to be a Synthesis development manifesto today?

    Posted: 16 May 2019 09:00 PM PDT

the synthesis supporter pack concept art page (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2503178) mentions that "Later this week we'll share Synthesis Statistics and a Synthesis Development Manifesto with you. In the meantime, check out the Synthesis Supporter Packs concept art we've prepared for today. "

Today is friday in NZ, so I was wondering if it was going to be posted later today (or if it had gotten postponed to next week or something else)

Is there current version of "Zone tracker" for Flashback event ?? One used before seems dead. ( tracking zone mods )

    Posted: 17 May 2019 08:24 AM PDT

    What im talking about:

    https://poecraft.com/race/zones

We used to update it with our client file and we had full list of what maps have what mods ( rotates hourly).

Seems to be dead now tho. Any alternative ?

Maybe raising awareness about it is enough to revive it ?

What is the current state of Summon Skeleton vs Raging spirits?

    Posted: 17 May 2019 10:14 AM PDT

I like the aesthetic of a necromancer controlling a horde of skeletons, rather than a bunch of red flaming skeleton heads just going around and chomping everything. However, while I was leveling my witch, srs just seemed so much better. So I was wondering, what is it about summon skeleton that can do better than an srs build can?

[Suggestion] Chat command for total play time

    Posted: 17 May 2019 10:24 AM PDT

I think it would be useful to have a command like /totalplayed (or something like that) that shows our total play time. The /played command isn't so useful for that case, especially when you have a lot of characters.

[SSC] I once swore if I ever had this item, I'll destroy it... What have I done?

I wish we had a room (like pvp one) to test builds and MTX

    Posted: 17 May 2019 07:01 AM PDT

I mean pvp in POE is dead right? Not like it was ever alive, but is not something I feel we need in POE.

So that arena could be used to test different builds (with all gear available, like 21/20 gems and crafting gear), MTX and even safehouses... I mean we see how a chest piece looks on a Templar, but how about a Jug?

I feel this will help with mtx sales...

These days fewer people buy MTX just to support team (a great one btw), but being able to see what you buy will encourage you. Especially when you see how pants man (Templar) looks with different mtx''s
