    [Discussion] 3.7 Single Target Melee attacks don't get free Melee Splash - But instead hit what the animation is hitting. You hit in a cone.

    It is a CONE that is determined by the animation / weapon range. Its not a splash - and you won't hit guys behind or to the side (a circle) like Melee splash does.

    Buff Wings of Entropy?

    Personally I find it to be a super cool weapon. Considering it's essentially two dual wielded one-handers with some unusual interaction with the passive tree, I know it's not that weak with it's 285 pDPS and 125-150 elemental or chaos dps in each respective hand.

    But when you look at dual wielding Vulconus;
    Wings of Entropy tops at around 435 total dps per hand
    Vulocnus tops at around 510 dps per hand

    Considering that Vulconus also gives:

    • 320-400% increased critical strike chance
    • Completed phys to fire conversion
    • 140-200% inc phys dmg vs ignited which is easy to achieve I'm assuming this still works after convertion to fire
    • 140-200% inc fire dmg vs bleeding (more tricky if you decide to go for it)

    At the cost of picking up one Keystone (Avatar of Fire) for consistency.

    Wings of Entropy look a bit subpar which I think is a shame considering how cool it is. I understand Vulconus is highly specialized, and Wings of Entropy don't force you to pick up AoF or have it rotating in and out anyway. But I still feel like Wings of Entropy is too cool and designed a weapon to be as weak as it is. That Wings of Entropy give 3 different types of base damage should be worth considering too as it makes it more specialized and difficult to scale.

    If nothing else, I think Wings of Entropy would do really really well with an attack speed buff considering it's a 2-hander base that plays and works more like two one-handers.

    Shouldnt GGG set some options as default for new players. ie: Clock, show socket, highlight,LifeMana level. Options that are very useful when you start and level and later can decide to remove

    3.7 looks BIG and is coming fast and will hit almost at the same time School ends so itll be a big influx of players

    I think its better to give more to new players and inform them that they can remove it rather than toggling everything OFF and then 1-2 years later they are like " OH shit i had this option all this time"

    I often reinstall windows and at the same time get a fresh POE install and im always baffled to see how many useful options are toggled OFF by default

    I've also realized that GGG does all their demo video without the most important ones Like " Life/mana level", Buff icon and CLOCK... freaking clock is awesome

    What are the options you guys use that are Default-Off and you consider VERY important? aka: Default-ON worthy

    Do we know if we can "cancel" out of vaal cyclone?
