1300 hours, looking to make my first build. Any tips? Posted: 08 Jun 2019 02:48 PM PDT So I've been playing PoE on and off since closed beta, but never once made my own build. I recently decided that this league I was going to try something new and make my own build. As for what kind? Not sure yet, I am looking at what looks cool and will decide. I thankfully given my hours played understand a lot of fundamental mechanics, but have never really thought about putting everything from passive tree, gear, etc together on my own. Any tips or advice is appreciated! Edit: I decided to go with the tips given here and started my own Viper Strike Pathfinder. So far so good :) [link] [comments]
LF a no brainer starter build that's only good for reaching up to yellow maps Posted: 08 Jun 2019 10:19 PM PDT Pretty much the title. I don't like spending time min-maxing my character every couple of levels. I need a starter build that can carry me to yellow maps or around that point as fast as possible with no or minimal care for gear so that I can farm some currency for a main character. I don't like doing the story over and over again and get bored even though I like the end-game parts. Adding having no real knowledge about passives, items and gems to that, it gets very boring to stop and try to gear up every 2 levels to have some acceptable progression speed. Ultimately I want to spend the currency I farmed with this build on a one-punch infernal blow build :) [link] [comments]
Spec throw horrible to level with Posted: 09 Jun 2019 03:21 AM PDT Is it just me or is it horrible to go through the acts with.. just recently started making my own builds and play different play style [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jun 2019 03:17 AM PDT I'm thinking of building an archer Scion with Iron Grip and then delving into the Ranger tree, to help with HC survival. Is this a dumb idea? Any potential for it? Alternatively, I could try melee Scion. In that case, can anyone recommend skills that will make HC viable? [link] [comments]
Is RF Flicker possible in 3.7? Posted: 09 Jun 2019 03:09 AM PDT I have always enjoyed playing both RF and Flicker builds and i know that someone made a combined build years ago. I came back to the game for Legion after a break of a year or so, and I'm having a very hard time deciding on a build to do, so i was wondering if it was possible to do both again? If not, are there any interesting Flicker or RF builds out there? [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 05:58 PM PDT Something wrong? It was strong on paper, now I sit at 10k tooltip in HO and t3 bosses take 1-2 mins to kill. I tried to switch back to cleave from bladestorm and damage is even worse. [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Jun 2019 01:05 AM PDT Hello I need help with my FP COC build. Can someone help me get more out of this build? [link] [comments]
Whats a good build if I want to BLOW SHIT UP? Posted: 08 Jun 2019 03:13 PM PDT I love big BOOMS so looking for a build like that and preferably a good boss killer, I know for skills there is vaal molten shell, infernal blow, explosive trap, detonate dead and discharge and then theres occultist and glad with their bleed/chaos explosions but no one seems to be properly doing them, if anyone has some experience or some hidden gem of a explosive build let me know :) Cheers! Made my own build, probably terrible, please critique Posted: 09 Jun 2019 12:53 AM PDT Hello, Last league I made a Necromancer. I'm a bit hipster so it was skeletons+Sandsworn Slaves spectres. Very fun, very good DPS, both minions and myself died in 1 second in yellow maps. This was with about 150% life from the tree, but little in the way of armor or other mitigation. This league, I swore I would play something TANKY. I don't care much about clear speed, but nor do I want to spend 1 hour per map. I'm looking for a good middle ground. Being a hipster, I don't really want to just play RF Juggernaut. So, I've made below Slayer build, using the 6% less damage taken while leeching as my build-around point, and at least 200% extra life + all the forms of mitigation in reach as a goal. The damage is terrible, but I got just about every form of mitigation I could find. My question, before wasting 100 hours on playing this guy to max level, is if you think his DPS might be good enough to do endgame content including tier 16 maps, Uber Atziri, and Uber Elder. Or would it just be totally hopeless? I added all the tricks he has as active so you can see them, so DPS looks like 750k, but in reality it's more like 150k-200k without everything activated. Here it is with everything activated: https://pastebin.com/2jHZYQV0 And the more "honest" version: https://pastebin.com/5fe6CMpK I chose Cleave as an active gem, but the build is so generic, I could use anything. Maybe even Flicker with Terminus Est. Or Cyclone. I'm not really sure. Thanks for your help. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jun 2019 12:52 AM PDT Does this build make sense? I've never did maces, so I don't know which notables are good :( The goal would be de-facto 7L Marohi Erqi I wonder if the dmg won't be a bit low without crit [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jun 2019 12:46 AM PDT 3.7 would you run soulrend or essence drain if you had 1 pick for league starter ? [link] [comments]

Quick Questions (2 actually) About Slayer Cyclone Posted: 08 Jun 2019 09:07 PM PDT Hello everyone, enjoying Legion league? I hope so :) So, this will probably be the third league that I actually will hit endgame. So I decided to run as Cyclone Slayer (haven't made my character yet haha) to start the league. (I do have plans to try a Bleeding build and maybe a Flicker Strike) Anyway... back to Cyc build. I probably will follow this guide on forum, but the thing is... I can't decide between a 2Handed Axe and 2Handed Sword path. I then decided to check poe.ninja and realized that when taking 2Handed Swords, only 14% of the builds takes Resolute Tecnique, while when taking 2Handed Axes, 74% takes Resolute Technique. So my questions are: 1) 2Handed Axe or Sword? Any suggestion why to pick one or another? 2) Why 2Handed Swords doesn't take Resolute Technique at all? [link] [comments]
Suggestions for a simple SSF build in Legion Posted: 08 Jun 2019 06:58 PM PDT I play mostly SSF (or rather trade league without trading, as I had some bad experience with it in the past). And I have little time so I wouldn't mind some suggestions for simple fast builds to try this league. I am currently playing Duelist Cyclone (likely going Slayer) shortly but getting really bored of the spinning playstyle. I have played Pathfinder TR build in the past (my favorite build), worb trickster, molten strike jugg (lead sprinkler), arc/lightning trap sabo, and bane/soulrend ci occultist - all nerfed now. Wouldnt mind trying something new that I can run for fun. I never played ED/Contagion, but also never played two-step primed builds before so I'm not sure how much fun it is. I might go farming for Oni (got one in previous leavu3 but didn't use it) so a build that uses it would be good too. Any ideas would be appreciated! I never seem to get past L92 on all my builds before league ends so I'm not too ambitious. Just killed while/yellow elder once each and never got to shaper, on the arc trapper build. Looking for help to build a Scold's CWC/Cyclone/Endurance Discharge Juggernaut. Posted: 08 Jun 2019 05:36 PM PDT Bit of a long name, but I've been able to throw together a proof of concept character, and cleared a T9 map in standard with no flasks and level 1 gems (aside from a 19 Discharge). I've never tried something like this before, and I rarely touch spells or triggers so I hope someone can help me optimize the tree and maybe offer some gearing advice. Basically, we use Scold's self damage combined with the extremely quick mana spend from channeling skills to trigger 2 nodes that generate charges when you are hit (Charging Offensive and Juggernaut's Unflinching for 50% Endurance Charge when hit and 20% Frenzy Charge when hit). To the best that I can tell, channeling a skill makes Scold's hit you ~10-15 times a second, so we are easily able to maintain enough charges to Discharge continually with very little investment. Additionally, we spend a TON of time with 9-10 endurance charges and crazy regen, we can also run Kingsguard for 3k life healed/second, and the cyclone speed has no effect on the mana drain rate, so we can run whatever weapon we want without worrying about attack speed or damage. I'm thinking a Shaper Staff with CwC on it, but I dunno. It plays fairly smoothly, but because I just threw it together and spent my passive points without any planning, the damage is low. Anyone want to take a look at my PoB and "Proof of Concept" character and see what can be done? Bad PoB: https://pastebin.com/8f834p01 [link] [comments]
What to build around Oni-Goroshi? Posted: 08 Jun 2019 05:15 PM PDT I played a Consecrated Path Chieftan last league and really enjoyed it - looking for something new. Everyone (at least in the past) has gone Tect Slam Chieftan, which is possible, but I'm interested in exploring the new cyclone mechanic and perhaps even flicker strike, but I'm mostly used to playing casters. Any ideas, builds, links are much appreciated! I didn't farm this @!#$)(* thing for nothing... [link] [comments]
Spectral Shield Throw and New Divide and Conquer Posted: 08 Jun 2019 04:26 PM PDT I got one of the rare jewels to drop. Anyone have any idea how to build it though? Deadeye or does it have enough clear? It takes particular advantage chaining over 4 times. Slayer? Berserker? [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 11:59 AM PDT Previous leagues I've played Arc Trapper (when it was good), a few blade vortex builds, storm brand. I wanted to try Winter Orb this league despite the nerf because I heard it was good. While it felt good against trash, any rare mob just was a slog. I got to Tier 1 Maps, then decided to respec into ED/Contagion, since that seems to be a big hit on PoE Ninja. The damage feels good, but it feels super slow and clunky. Despite having ~30-40% cast speed on the tree, things feel like they cast super slowly. I tend to get cornered, and die before I can releech energy shield/mana. I don't know if it's garbage early gear, or if there is an issue with how I built it; I followed a forum build guide. The character is WOOnemetalate, which is Ironic that it's now ED. If anyone had suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated! I do have ~50 chaos in currency to spend on gear and gems and things. I know some of my gems/fuses are messed up, I'm out of fuses/chromatics and too lazy to buy more atm. https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/CE2JRH/characters [link] [comments]
Any good build guides for a Legion Cyclone build w/ coc frostbolt? Posted: 08 Jun 2019 11:44 AM PDT I'm curious if it's the worst idea or if it'd be strong enough to actually be viable. I'm relatively new so I'm not really sure of what works or what doesn't but I'd love to just be spinning throwing frostbolts everywhere on crit. I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks :) [link] [comments]
Need advice on my Bleed Wand Death's Oath Gladiator Posted: 08 Jun 2019 11:34 AM PDT First build I've made, it should clear very fast but I need advice how to make it tolerate able for bosses, rest of the items will be rares with HP, damage and resists unless you have good ideas. for rest of skills I'm thinking shield charge, malevolence, some herald, and maybe some skill that does something single target. Cheers! [link] [comments]
Want to go for a Tectonic Slam build but not sure on Jugg v Chieftain Posted: 08 Jun 2019 09:07 AM PDT I've been eyeing a tectonic slam build ever since the changes got announced, the more research I do though the more difficult of a time I'm having deciding if I should go Jugg or Chieftain. For reference this is only my second league, and last league I went with a low life ED Occultist. I'm looking at this build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2316461 and really hoping that someone can spell out the pros and cons of Jugg v Chieftain for a relatively new player.
