Hey Guys, I need some advice for building a Vaal Arc monolith Farming machine.

    5 Armies on Hardcore

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 02:16 PM PDT

I've done builds capable of most things on Hardcore, but conceptually I am unsure where I am at with this. I feel like my uber elder killer, a guardian, is not going to be suited to such a mass AoE fight.

I haven't tried the fight and I'm wondering just how much DPS I need to complete it. Can I do this with a 200k PoB ED build?

I'm not looking to farm it, I just want to do it for completion.

Want to try dual nebuloch but need some advice.

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 10:57 AM PDT

I asked in poe subreddit before, and learned that dual nebuloch jugg or chieftain is one of the tankiest build in the game. However, I don't know how should I build around this weapon, most of the guides are old and used MS as their main skill.

    So, my questions are

    1. Which class should I play with dual nebuloch? Juggernaut seems to be more tanky and is able to generate endurance charges better but Chieftain "Tasalio" seems good too as you always take fire damage and has more damage. imo, I think Jugg is better due to accuracy this class provided, but I'm not sure.
    2. What skills works best with Nebuloch? As I tried to look for a build, fire conversion skills like Infernal blow, Consecrated Path, or Molten strike and the most meta skill like Cyclone are popular.

I love Molten strike in the previous patch ( I used grelwood however) but when I tried playing it early game, it's very bad that I have to change to another skills, I don't know if late game will be better or not.

    1. Does Purity of Fire or Vitality vital for Nebuloch? I see many people running at least one of them.

    Thanks in advance!

    How do I improve survivability?

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 11:21 PM PDT

    Hello,

I'm having a hard time to keep my storm brand elementalist alive at T7 and above. Damage seems ok so far, but it frequently dies if I miss one or two random hits. I tried to replace items to have +life everywhere, but it didn't help much. It still dies from time to time.

So far I'm thinking to refund some of damage nodes in favor of phase acrobatics node. Maybe increasing evasion by replacing "INT-only" items by "INT+DEX" ones, but I'm not sure if I can get reasonable values there. Could you recommend something how to fix this build?

    Mana Guardian

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 04:11 PM PDT

I want to make a Mana Guardian that can clear all content but not use the skills that most have been using like RF/HoA/ED. Are there other skills that work well with a mana guardian?

Help gearing up Glacial Cascade Hierophant for Shaper Guardians

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 09:23 AM PDT

    Hi everyone,

This is my first time playing POE, and I have been using this Glacial Cascade Totem guide ( https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1976479/page/1 ). I have been cruising quite well on all maps including T15. But I hit a huge wall going into the T16 guardians. Every time, I barely manage to kill them on my last portal try. I checked out poe.ninja for similar builds, and they all run Atziri's Reflection. But that's too expensive for me right now.

I was hoping someone could check out my build and see if there's any improvements that are a little bit less expensive than getting Reflection. Or is it just a case of me getting more used to the mechanics?

    Thanks for any help!

    Help with my Windripper character

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 04:44 PM PDT

    https://pastebin.com/VCgcUEsg

I'm trying to get an MF character up and running so that I can try and achieve my 6+ year goal of having a Headhunter, but I've hit a wall in terms of damage output. I'm not even able to effectively do Glacier runs with this character.

What did I do wrong here?

Semi-meme build tuning help needed: PotCG Cyclone Ascendant

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 04:29 PM PDT

    Hey all,

I've always been the kind of player who enjoys meme or semi-meme builds over playing the meta. I like taking a stupid idea and seeing how far I can stretch it. When I came back to the game a week or so ago, I had done some light reading and the consensus is that Cyclone is nuts OP, so I figured this would be my chance to finally slay one of my old demons. (As it happens, one could argue that the presence of Cyclone makes it not even semi-meme anymore. It is bonkers good, at any rate.)

I've always wanted to make the Pillar of the Caged God good. This is as close as I've gotten. I could use some help tuning up my plan while I amass currency, if anyone's willing to take a look at it. I'm far more worried about checking my plan than I am worried about fixing where I'm at - the current state of my build has proven more than adequate for filling out the lower and middle parts of the atlas so far, but any suggestions to either are appreciated.

Here is my rough plan (obviously subject to adjustment based on what gear is available for purchase/that I find): https://pastebin.com/wxxrVvb9

(A note for the plan: for whatever reason PoB won't let me manually add Abyssal jewels, so I just hacked the mods on to them. I briefly checked that they should be possible, but not exhaustively, so let me know if I'm being dumb)

Here is where I currently am at: https://pastebin.com/4RmzAs26

My current next step is to bank the currency I need to buy/make either an amulet with +% attributes and phys to lightning, or an Elreon ring so I can drop Blood Magic Support in favor of something else (PoB is listing Crit Damage as the next thing that doesn't give me a downside I'm not a fan of).

Tree-wise, I took Holy Dominion and the stuff around that because I had a slightly different plan originally, and didn't realize as it morphed away from that. If you only look at my current state, don't worry about that.

Lastly, just to get out in front of the comment I suspect to be coming, I do want to stay using Pillar of the Caged God, and I don't want to reroll to a different exile.

    Thanks all!

Help with Slayer Cyclone build with Starforge

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 11:46 AM PDT

Basically, found a starforge killing shaper, so I'm gonna give it a try. Basically going for killing UE.

    This is the POB: https://pastebin.com/FCgW9Mkf

Anyway to make it more efficient? Is my hit chance too high? Need more crit? (Only have 'while leeching',fulllife, and blood stance ticked off. So the DPS isn't super inflated and more 'realistic') Also have an open 4L spot, not sure what to put in there. And only 5L for my body armor (gonna use Belly) or is there a skill I'm forgetting about to make it better. Lastly the only other things I already have are the jewels, but they can be changed for whatever, I also just put in random rares just to fill out things.

I understand for doing the 4/5 way legion encounters I'd probably need carcass jack?

[Help] Improving my Heavy Strike 2h Berserker

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 01:37 PM PDT

    Hi Everybody,

First up: This is my Profile: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/XEP624

    Char: Romulus Remus

    PoB: https://pastebin.com/estKtyQ9

I've been leveling this Char since the Start of the League. I ha da rough concept beforehand that I wanted to go Staffs (cause it looks cool) and try the new Berserker (because... well Berserker..)

Right now I'm starting to transition from yellow to red maps and some things become quite clear:

    - General Mapping is quite good

    - Harder content needs to much time

    - Survivability is too low

    - AOE is too small for Legions

    Things I'm unsure about

    - Should I invest more into 6-Linking the chest or get a better one directly?

    - Staff seems pretty good, is it really?

    - The belt... kinda fits but I have the feeling a well rolled Stygian would be better

    - 2 additional damage skills (warchief + Glacial Hammer) feels wrong, but I don't have any other idea really.

I'd be happy for any suggestions

Budget is roughly 3 EX atm.

    Thanks in Advance :)

    Builds themed around Legion MTX

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 05:21 AM PDT

Hey! I'm quite new to PoE. I've sinked maybe 3 days in playtime into my first character, a cyclone chieftain. Welp, the build didn't go as well as I hoped, but above all I'm a bit done with it already and want to move on to my second char. I'm F2P for now, but I'm in love with this game's MTX. So I'm super excited about getting the 12 and 24 challenge rewards from the Legion league. Not sure if I'll make it to 36, unfortunately. I wanted to grind those in a new character, that would wear that MTX. So I'm hoping to find a build that would fit the MTX well - in other words, purple skills. Voidfletcher builds, ED Contagion and Soulrend are the only ones I'm aware of. Any other ideas? And which of those would be more recommended for a new player? My budget is 2.5 exalt.

Some nice things that I'd like, but are by no means necessary:

    1) I wanted to try energy shield instead of health.

    2) I've never used a Vaal skill, they sound fun.

    3) Something that would excel at clearing the legion challenges.

    4) I'm not really a fan of clearing low level content to farm, farming t16 or bossing sounds way more fun than glacier spam.

    Thanks in advance!

TL;DR: Looking for a purply build to fit the free legion MTX on a budget of 2.5 ex.

Trickster build ed contagion? Or what?

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 04:38 AM PDT

Hello everyone, I am kinda new to the game, I just started playing this season and made it to lvl 93 with volataile death cwc incinerate Chieftain. I have few ex saved worth of currency (+-10ex) and I am looking for something fresh so I started leveling shadow because I want to try some build that has easy time clearing legion pylons and is capable of killing the hardest content too, but I am pretty confused with so many build variations and passive skill tree choices that this build offers. It is really cool that this build is so variable but I am really bad at making builds and I do not know which variant of trickster to choose. Could someone give me guide to the best variation for this season or link to some min maxed character? Basically any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance Nowada <3
