    I am playing with a friend and whenever we do a blight encounter ( or a blighted map for that matter), we usually split in 2 directions and cover our front.

    Now here is what irks me. Cassia needs to be close to you to build a tower. If my friend is the one who opened the map, she is always following him. So for me to build a tower on my side, he needs to come all the way to me so Cassia can build the tower. And in the meantime the side that my friend was supposed to be defending is getting overrun.

    Can we make it so Cassia doesn't have to be close to you to build a tower?

    I'm unable to upgrade anything because if i leave my position the pump dies, but if i don't upgrade i become overwhelmed.

    GGG do not forget the basis of this league, we fight along side the towers, we are not the tower, we are just that OP hero unit in a custom warcraft 3 TD map. Adding a break in between waves with an obvious skip button for others actually makes strategic placement and time to think worthwhile.

    Currently blighted maps are just a "spam any available spot with a tower and hope for the best"

    Blight encounters in maps however are great.

    First off, i'd like to get across, I fully understand that GGG has their hands full. 4.0 in development, upcoming leagues in development/planning and patching of Blight.

    I've been playing the game for years, not a hardcore player by far, but I am someone who has already dropped from Blight. I also think I that I may drop the game until 4.0 because of the many issues with the game. It seems no matter where you come from you do not go without some serious problems. Lag, FPS drops/ Performance, Server issues (see Sao Paulo)/ Crashes, Disconnections, Instance Crashes. Mix this with a series of QoL features that I can't list due to the length and you may understand why I will wait for the "Big Update", where they might have actually fixed some of these things by then.

    I work as a Developer, I work on a Game project in my free time. I understand the amount of work needed for every single patch, the work that every single member of the team puts out. I want you to understand how much respect I have for you and that work. And the respect I have for the company and Chris for refusing to put the team under Crunch. Thank you for your game GGG. Thank you for entertaining me for all these years. This post is partially because I've seen this game grow and change, and I see this game potential hitting a point of no return in future.

    If these issues stay and are not addressed... If Every league down the line introduces a new "Problem" with little work focussed on solutions... If the game keeps expanding without the framework to support it. What do you think is going to happen?

    Be it a Bad league, a REALLY bad league (Synthesis doesn't count). Be it some drama about "How have they let it go on this long..." Be it whatever... I don't want this game to die.

    I know you have to raise funds somehow. And attract new players. And to ensure player engagement. But please, consider spending a league, maybe two, with you priority on making the current experience the best it can be. Focus on something small, bring players back with "remastered" content if you think you need new content for people to play this game. I know I keep coming back because I live the game, not entirely for the Gimmick. (I dont want it to seem like I hate leagues. They are a great way of remixing the experience.)

    I hope anyone who read this far agrees with my sentiment and also wants the best for this game. Please, think about it. A "Operation Health" idea has been throw around a lot in the community, and I know for sure that I'll come back and play, Path of Exile: Regrowth in 3.9, 3.10 or 3.11

    TL/DR - Please GGG U love the game and want to play, but the issues are too much. Consider a patch league.

    I've made pure elemental builds this league, as i figured they would be fairly cheap due to the focus on minion / Chaos builds. However the experience has been fairly abysmal at this point, simply due to a few specific things:

    "Resist elemental damage".

    This can, and very often will, roll multiple times on the same enemy, giving them insane resists. Unless you're playing inquisitor, good luck dealing any damage. If they are Bears at the same time, you're hecked.

    2.

    Overlapping proximity Shields.

    What happened to the idea of removing this concept, and replacing it with the "blocks 50% of damage" thing from a Baeclast some time ago?

    3.

    Unique's remove 100 % of the pump's health.

    4.

    The bear's are so insanely tanky, they can practically waltz right past everything and not give a damn ( which they do).

    5.

    the bears ignore the minion towers, even when they are not resistant to minions.

    This one is just dumb, simply because of their insane healthpool.

    6.

    The droprate of blighted maps is insanely low.

    What is even the point in having a cool league mechanic, when experiencing it is so gated? It would be neat if we could use 3x clear oils + white maps to make it into a blighted map. And the same for higher maps, with rarer Oils.

    7.

    The amount of HP on unique monsters are crazy, and the towers themselves dont even seem like they can make a ding in their healthbar.

    The fact that they eclipse even the map boss by multitudes of HP is really weird. Especially since they decimate the pump completely when they touch it.

    8.

    Armour and Weapon crates are effectively useless.

    either making them roll with a higher i-lvl or something else, would be amazingly useful. As it stands right now, they are a dead find.

    9.

    No possibility to speed up the encounter, or making it as hard as you can manage, like we had in Legion. That league worked so well simply because you could free as many monsters as you could handle.

    10.

    The monsters tend to ignore their pathing, especially if they have a jump or somthing similar.

    11.

    The performance of the encounter ( which is getting addressed in the next patch), is also starting to get really annoying. This is however more to do with the fact that it's practically impossible to see the dangerous effects on the ground before they hit you.

    12.

    Not having waves in Blighted Maps seem like a very weird decision. Waves would help with the performance, as it will inherently limit the amount of mobs on the screen at the same time. It will also give players a chance to strategize as well as give players a chance to push the envelope, if they feel they can take multiple waves at a time.

    I have likely missed things. However these are just some of the frustrations of the league.

    Edit, in case GGG employees end up seeing this: It's awesome that you keep trying new things, that is not what we are frustrated with. The idea of having Tower defense in PoE is actually really really cool; you've just missed the mark quite a bit this time, as it's breaking the flow of the game quite a bit, and the way it's implemented has some issues.

    Performance is incredibly bad this league.

    People complained about legion or betrayal, but personally I've never had perfomance issues with them. Blight on the other hand, is damn near unplayable in t16 maps. It lags so hard and it just isn't worth losing exp over. Sometimes the instance crashes then you just lost your t16 map, I am debating just dropping down in tiers because t16 sucks so bad. I am starting to believe this game is only being tested in the story mode or in white maps, because I have no idea why GGG thought this sort of performance is acceptable to release. GGG play testers must have super computers 10 years ahead of what's currently on the market.

    Edit: I've had three recommendations that helped reduce the lag/slow downs/stuttering in high tier blight encounters.

    1. The GGPK defragmenter ( https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/28060/page/1 ). This deletes all the crap that builds up over a bunch of patches.
    2. Deleting The Minimap folder in Documents/My games/Path of Exile/
    3. Deleting the "ShaderCacheD3D11" folder in the Path of Exile game location.

    This has greatly reduced my stuttering to basically non existent in maps, however, I have not tested blighted maps. They may be a different kettle of fish entirely since GGG have recently addressed it causes server sided issues.

    Third lvl90 character and i've found like 5-6 blighted maps. Seriously wtf? I thought we play the league here not fucking standard with 10% of actual league. The league is fun and amazing but let me play it ffs!

    Oh and no oils drop from blighted maps also, wtf is this design?

    GGG Please let us use oils on maps to turn them into blighted maps. The drop rate is too low and oils have too few uses. Blight lacks any sort of endgame.
