Can someone who understands the current deep delve meta explain what's going on with the 1hp builds? Why do people use them? What makes them work? Is it worth trying to start one?

Need help with fireball ignite build, I'm lost

I feel like I'm missing something big here. I've been playing around in PoB for hours trying out different ascendancy's, nodes, and gear but I am unable to get a high dps for my ignite. I understand I am pretty underleved but even accounting for that I think my damage should be higher.

Any help would be really appreciated, I just can't figure it out and I'm feeling pretty dumb haha.

Soulrend

I made a soulrend build and was looking for some ways to improve it, It is a fairly generic build that focuses mostly on ES exclusively for survivability. I am quite new to making builds, so if there are any obvious errors in pathing, gear, etc please let me know. I also tried to make the gear fairly low/medium quality to keep the numbers fair, bar the bow I was planning to dump currency on after leveling.

Need help with survivability

I'm running a build based around multiple projectiles + venom gyre. Everything was pretty fine through act 7. Once i got to act 8, however, i started dying pretty much instantly to small groups of normal enemies. Any advice on how to die less?
