    I think it is well about time that you, GGG, confront yourself about some of the choices you are making that we players have to suffer in your shortsigthedness of and when there is no justifiable explanation.

    Please allow us to disable shadows. You cannot justify this decision of removing that choice. You must recognize that you are not good at optimizing and 10 years down the road you have still not learned it, and there comes a time when you have to take that into consideration and put players reality first.

    When you can't make your game work, at least give us players the tools to alleviate your shortcomings or design them with the shortcomings in mind - shadows is something i turn down or turn off in any game as the first thing to improve performance. Here you have huge issues with performance, and yet you wanna force this on us because you are afraid terrain will look less unique because you use shadows to differentiate it. This doesn't make sense in particular because i can turn down my game to look more pixelated than D2 anyway - i play it looking like absolute garbage trying to make your game work. Give me the tool to remove shadows as well, i can't see anything anyway.

    This type of decision making is symptomatic with the way you put your own wishes for players above the real player experience. You keep doing it and sticking to bad systems that players have to struggle with everyday because in your head that could be more ideal when in reality no it's just a clunky mess. Trade system comes to mind here also. You know you have issues making your game load fluently, and yet recently league after league you keep making content where everything spawns right on top of you into huge freezes and deaths without a chance to do anything. You keep being so unrealistic about reality and not designing content with the weaknesses of the game in mind.

    You say you want to slow down the pace, and then you push out leagues that big time reward speeding and rushing. You say "oh but we give a timer extra for you to pick up stuff" - this GGG is a big brain failure and exactly what i am talking about. You don't recognize reality. The reality is no matter what, the mechanics you have in place lead people to rush and not pick up stuff in order to make the most of it. This is people reacting to normal psychology, predictably. Yet you keep being in denial of this and think nah we give like extra 20% timer so that should be fine when that changes nothing on how players really interact with it. You are simply in denial of the reality of how your own content leads players to certain experiences and then you stick by it and make bad excuses but anyone that has a clue can easily see through those excuses and it doesn't look pretty like someone too proud to admit they are making basic mistakes and causing others to pay that price.

    You also don't appear to have anything in game to limit particles when there are enough. Other big games realize that there comes a point when you either have to hide some particles or cause a freeze lag and makes things unplayable - here you don't seem to have any limitation in place. Guild wars 2 example if your computer can't handle it, then it simply won't load more than some player models/spell animations and the game will keep working fluently. Such greatness and satisfying to watch it in action - it just works. With you, as soon stuff gotta load it starts the freezes and stutters and yet you keep designing content to load big dangers directly in on top of our heads seemingly so unaware of the reality of how your game will break when you do that.

    Timers. Oh man you are your damn timers GGG. How often do they actually help anything? Extremely rarely. Every time you do any timered content just please ask yourself is this justifiable? How will it make players interact with this timered content? Who are the winners and the losers of the timered content - and particularly for the losers is it fair that they should fall further behind while u exponentially(double dipping) reward speedfarming?

    Another thing is default town. I am so tired of loading into towns and getting disconnect nearly every single time i load into a town. I have to wait for it to time out and then load again. If i have to visit a town for a trade i will disconnect and lose my party etc. All because your game can't handle loading every content that is in a town with all player effects etc. Please please just let me set my hideout to where i log into, and where my tp from normal content takes me, I would prefer to be able to use towns but practically this doesnt work because your game can't handle it.

    Also all your new content is loaded with mob types that just lag. Even after they are dead the bodies are just lying there and creating enormous lag. It's not just what you say, that you have complicated calculations on attacks for stats you have other deeper issues just anything effects gotta get loaded your shit gets all stressed out and lags and strutters and freezes even when you are just walking on normal ground and monsters are loading in no one is attacking.

    Also about sounds. Goddamn man GGG recognize you are a mess and give us options to circumvent your mess if you can't make it work. Split sounds so there is a way to enable all sounds except on hit combat events that get repeated over and over to significantly reduce your performance,but still keeping events like volative spawn sounds working. And make it so settings = 0 instead become = false without having to go into ini. All these small basic things you have neglected and taken away tools for players to make the game work ideal. Goddamn man, wtf!

    Also you push quantity over quality too much, your tight schedule to get most players hooked and coming back leaves you to make much lower quality works and more mess, more mess, more mess. Get more people or slow down your schedule so you have time for polishing more.

    Visual clarity is the worst I've ever seen, it doesn't look like they've tested how things look when you get conquerer mobs, betrayal mobs, delirium mobs all in one area. Especially when that area is a small corridor like phantasmagoria.

    On death mechanics, this kind of goes with visual clarity, almost every single time I've died this league I couldn't see what actually killed me, it's just some gray un-killable homing missile surrounded by other effects from other monsters that have been turned grey due to league mechanic.

    Trying to push clear speed while at the same time punish clear speed. There's no reason for delirium to be timed at all, just let the difficulty determine how deep a player can go.

    Monsters spawning in your face that can shotgun, this one didn't bother me too much but now with all the on death mechanic dodging with un-killable homing missiles this really is starting to feel painful.

    Every league GGG makes same mistakes then takes 2-3 weeks to patch the league to a better state, but by this time a lot of players have just moved on from the league. I think everyone would rather wait a bit more time to get a new league than have it play like shit for the first 2-3 weeks anyway.

    BACKTRACKING will kill the league faster than anything else..

    Lags, bugs and all the generic flaws will be eventually patched out sooner or later, but THIS THING is the sole reason why the whole league feels as a totally clunky experience. If no changes are coming i foresee an early death of the league because it would be too annoying to play in the "long term" (surprise, i know!)

    And it became worse after the recent patch. With recent patch we are getting additional layers of rewards if pushing further into the fog. And if you stop for a second to pickup something or backtrack a bit to grab dat juicy splinter the CLOCK IS TICKING AGAIN and you once again need to rush deeper to the edges of the map to push rewards even further.

    GGG tells us to use Loot Filter.. Ok cool. We all use it. But how do i pick up things if there are 50 monsters on the screen shooting at me AND the clock keeps ticking?? I have literally no other choice but to skip picking everything and kill and rush forward in order to stay alive and generate some loot. As a result there's a whole level of loot behind me!

    This is a big problem of the league design and unless we get some kind of workaround i don't see bright future for the league in the long term. It's simply annoying beyond belief to go back and start picking up all stuff throughout the whole level. All loot must drop at the end of the encounter OR the timer must go away completely.

    I have a lot of friends with potato PCs and their loading time is disgustingly long when starting the game because its loading into the town with all the MTX warriors and not hideout. They really wish GGG would enable an option to load into HO on logging in.

    I cant really relate because i have a really good PC and it's not talking long for me to load into town and go into hideout. I think most Player dont Mind this but i can totally understand my friends. Thought of sharing :)

    The problem is getting worse every league for years now. I love the new content but it's hard to enjoy when performance is this bad.

    Things are not loading in properly. I enter a map and I cant even see my spells for the first 10 seconds. Very important effects like bearers and volatiles sometimes don't load. I'm often fighting invisible betrayal members. Legion is a stuttering mess. Metamorph too. The time and effort you put in to making nice looking models and animations don't matter if your players can't see them.

    FPS is incredibly unstable. From smooth 144 fps down to 5-10. Hard stutters frequently. I recognize that the game has become more hectic over the years. But this game is all about killing lots of monsters very fast, why can't your engine handle the core gameplay?

    On top of this I'm now getting hard freezes from 0.5 - 4 seconds in Delirium. Making HC impossible to play.

    I would be ok with this if there was some indication of the performance getting better from league to league but at this point I'd be happy if it just didn't get worse

    rtx 2080

    32gb ddr3

    4690k 4.4ghz

    Future of Guilds in Path of Exile

    Hello!
    I'm a guild leader for almost 4 years now, since the beginning of my adventure with Guild I'm struggling with a thievs, scammers and other "bad type" of people.
    We can now track who took what from stash but can't really control who can acces stashes since we have just 2 ranks, Officer and Member. With just 2 ranks we can't do anything, not everyone is trusted enough to bare the possibility to invite everyone with Officer rank, that would generate just chaos in a Guild. And just Member for normal players is not enough. There should be at least 3 ranks in guild so we could sort our members and add some better permissions in guild stash to avoid situations like this: https://imgur.com/a/T3sQuXj . With a permissions, something like this would never happen, he would have any permission to remove items from stash.

    Thats the reason im writing this post, I know those are just some maps and trash uniques, but thats just stealing, and I'm sure it's happening in most guild with an open recruitment.

    Easiest solution for this would be literraly just adding one more rank some "New member" rank and something like this would never happend.

    the one single "on death" effect with that explosion is deadlier than all shaper, elder or pre nerf sirus fights combined. It just feels off when u are a god slayer and fight the mighty and most evil villains but die to a hardly notcible effect in the cluster of visuals. just bad game design sorry

    first of all I like the game and the the "fresh" league, also like some of the ideas behind delirium.

    Its just a frustrating feeling getting killed by such a minor thing. If I die to Shaper or Elder I know ive done something wrong or dont have enough life or w/e but with these on death effects I gotta admit Diablo 3 solves this way better. the visibily and damage of this on death effects in delirium just feels still off and overtuned and simply unfair.
