| Reminder to use Predictive networking mode when testing engine performance Posted: 06 Apr 2021 08:23 AM PDT In nearly all situations with a stable Internet connection, you'll want to play with the Lockstep networking mode. However, even small network issues will "pause" the renderer, giving the appearance of performance issues. In order to eliminate this possibility when testing engine performance, temporarily switch to Predictive networking mode. This will disable blocking the renderer in the event of network issues, so you can be absolutely sure that your renderer pauses or framerate drops are not caused by network issues. This setting can be found in Options > UI > Networking Mode. Don't forget to switch back to Lockstep when you finish testing, since Predictive mode also reintroduces the possibility of client-server desynchronization. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 06 Apr 2021 06:56 AM PDT Curious as to how the folks on here feel about it :) Me personally, having played PoE for a very long time, not really being one of the zoom zoom 30 second map 2 screen full clear folks, and getting most toons up in the 90-95 region I feel as though ritual didn't really add much to the game as a whole (atlas expansion did though) but with that said.. if they decide to not reuse the system/idea, I'm sorely going to miss the reward selection screen. Having the option to decide what you get as a reward really felt good, even if said rewards were sometimes terrible. Usually had the option to pick a few chromes, jewellers or fuses, which I think everyone uses all the time? As well as having the occasional "omgwtfroflbbq" item appearing there (for me that was an early mjölnir, which since 2013 I've never seen drop before, no headhunters/mirrors/badges/etc but meh) - not worth a lot, but a rare drop from a semi-ssf perspective [link] [comments]  | ||

| Is PoE the worst game for RSI & similar? Posted: 06 Apr 2021 11:21 AM PDT Hey, after playing LoL for 8 years, on a daily basis, often spending all week-ends on it, i've turned to PoE since delirium League. I never had wrist problem playing lol or other games spamming right click and QWER on high frequency during long hours. Since i'm playing PoE i'm experiencing some really serious wrist injuries, at the point where i just can't play the game anymore. Have you also been subject to such injuries after you started playing PoE ? I don't know if it is pure bad luck having such problem after starting this game, or if there is a real link with PoE, in which case I guess i'll have no choice but to stop definitely PoE. Any advice on how to fight against RSI is welcome, i've already bought an ergonomic mouse pad, as well as an ergonomic mouse (MX Vertical). I'll hope it will get better with it, but for now i'm wearing two wrist splint. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Maven's memory game sequence visuals should be shown on the minimap as well Posted: 05 Apr 2021 01:56 PM PDT Basically title, the zones should highlight on the minimap as well since you can't always be in the centre of the zone and PoE FoV is just bad. I think it needs one visual improvement, quest like marker on the minimap or zoom out during that phase similar to sirus storm phase. [link] [comments]  | ||
