    A person requested to buy a jewel from me and I did the normal thing. I invited the person to my party, they came to my hideout and instead of instantly accepting my request to trade s/he dashed to my portals for the map I was just running. S/He then requested trade, we do the deal and this person immediately jumps into my map and hijacks it.

    I normally play solo so I had no settings for permanent allocation of items (at the time) and I jumped out of the map right when I did an Expedition event and I for some reason didn't take the time to grab the 3x Burial Medallions that dropped right before committing to the trade.

    I know I was the idiot here and didn't set up correctly and essentially allowed this person to steal from me but how often does this occur? This person's action made it seem like s/he was ready to scour my map.

    PS: @ШиВу if you are reading this, I hope you burn your mouth on your coffee.

    RNG is really frustrating sometimes.

    I know RNG is RNG. This post is not to complain or anything. It's mostly just to vent.

    My friend and i have been playing this game for a long time. We've had our ups and downs with RNG in this game. But this league is possibly the worst case of bad luck we've ever had. My friend has failed 17 in his total 20 attempts at Maven orb this league. He's now on a 5 fails streaks. After his latest attempt a few hours ago, he just linked me the item and then logged off out of frustration without saying anything.

    My luck is probably not any better. No exaggeration, i've failed every single T4 Aisling (probably around 10) that's not 100%, no matter it's on my item or selling service for someone else. After my 4th attempt on a pair of boots, i just straight up bought one. I'm at the point where i feel like i'm scamming the people i'm selling Aisling to. Because i just know they won't get what they want.

    So that's our stories. Like i said, it's just to vent. What's your worst case of RNG in this game?

    Suggestion: How to fix Aurabots without destroying other builds

    I'm now used to GGG overnerfing things into oblivion or doing multi-pronged nerfs to address problems that end up nuking other non-problematic cases as consequence.
    I'm afraid we will see the classic multi-pronged approach with nerfs to aura gems, skill tree nodes, items and cluster jewels. And maybe the introduction of some hard caps to reservation reduction, aura effect or how many auras you can use at the same time.
    In the case of auras i believe i found a way to address the problem child (aura support aka aurabot) without killing other builds that invest heavily into auras that aren't problematic (aura stackers and minions).
    The problem can be addressed by adding this modifier to all aura skills:
    The Effective Reduction to Reservation for This Aura is also applied as Less Aura Effect for Party Members and their Minions (capped at 90% less aura effect).
    How it works:

    • The Effective Reduction to Reservation is how much Mana/Life/Whatever the aura ends up reserving compared to the base after factoring in all the modifiers that end up affecting reservation.
    • If you use 2x 50% auras with lvl4 enlighten (88% multiplier) and the Sovereignty cluster on the tree (14% reduction) the effective reservation is 37.85% and (37.85/50)-100=24.3 so party members and their minions will get 24.3% less effect from both auras, while you and your minions will still get the full effect.
    • If you put an aura gem in an Essence Worm making the reservation zero, you and your minions will still get the full effect while party members and their minions will get 90% less effect (because it's capped at 90% less otherwise it would be zero).
    • If you play aurabot you have to choose if you want to have a lot of auras with mediocre effect of if investing on a few with a strong effect.
    • In case an aura ends up reserving more than the base reservation it won't give more aura effect (eg auras linked to blood magic).

    This change will not affect minion builds or aura stackers, it will slightly affect party play where each party member uses a few auras with moderate reduction to reservation and will hit hard the bonus given to party members by fully dedicated aurabots.
