Can someone explain this to me?

    Posted: 05 Sep 2021 06:26 PM PDT

Why can't we put these in the Heist locker room or in my stash ?

    Posted: 05 Sep 2021 09:04 PM PDT

While there are obvious issues in PoE, there are also few small things that actually make my experience way better and nobody talks about these.

    Posted: 05 Sep 2021 10:12 PM PDT

Mapping experience is way better than we had not so long ago. I remember quitting leagues solely because I wasnt willing to come back home from work and spend an hour buying mapping currency for that day's session. Its not the case anymore.

I sustain maps with no issues including the league start. The progress was generally slower, but I did not need to buy a single map nor I had a long gap between progressing.

I have enough missions to do whatever I decide to do.

I can sustain chisels with little to no effort. Less annoying trading! At this point I would prefer not having to click 4 times extra with every map and have chisels deleted from the game, but its still better than it used to be.

I somehow sustain sac fragments. I generally use them for t15+.

The entire atlas, sextant mods, missions, map stash marking and obviously stash affinity also make a huge difference.

I feel like there are more options, how to make currency than there ever was. For example every atlas region feels like its a good money maker and most of them dont require any hard investment except maybe harvest watch stones. Lower depth delve feels better than it used to. Heist is still rly good. Blighted maps and delirium farming are good.

Occultist, as the most badass ascendancy, feels perfectly viable again! Now we are only missing SRS from the viable build pool.

Sure there are more things, but generally I love how mapping experience have changed, especially when Im just tired and want to chill and run maps with barely using your brain and it doesnt feel horribly inefficient. Now the only issue is to find a build that works good enough in the end game and is fun at the same time. This is my biggest struggle lately.

While everybody is expert on what GGG does wrong lately, I feel like these things are a huge improvement.

Trade site tip for Wise Oak users

    Posted: 06 Sep 2021 08:11 AM PDT

If you ever need to find equipment that has equal values of all elemental resistances:

    Weighted Sum: | Max: 0
    * [Pseudo] +#% total to Fire Resistance | Weight: 1
    * [Pseudo] +#% total to Lightning Resistance | Weight: 1
    * [Pseudo] +#% total to Cold Resistance | Weight: 1
    * [Pseudo] +#% total to all Elemental Resistances | Weight: -3

It may show items without any resistances, because 0/0/0 resistances are still equal to each other.
You can add a minimum resistances requirement in a separate "And" search group, where you would also search for life, movement speed, mana, etc. like usual.

My best craft this league. 710 PDPS Spine Bow - Grim Volley

My best craft this league. 710 PDPS Spine Bow - Grim Volley

    Hi Everyone,

After investing 50ex into making this, the bow is finally done! a 710 PDPS masterpiece. I got really lucky, and hit the fracture on the 1st try, the Tempered orb on the first try, and it cost me about 15 ex in essences to get the T1 hybrid.

In your opinion, is this mirror worthy?

    EDIT:

    It's T1 attack speed, 17-19% is T1. It's a bug that says T2

I don't really trust GGG in nerfing aurabots

    Posted: 06 Sep 2021 11:24 AM PDT

Regular aura usage, self-cast aurastackers and minion aurastackers are in a really good place. I think aurastackers right now are one of the very few builds where you can feel nearly every single exalted you put into it as they scale very well and start on a "budget". GGG has a tendency to nerf everything related to something they want to nerf, so I'm somewhat sure that either all aura related stuff or aurastacking gets a hit too. Minion aurastackers grant nearby minion allies their auras, so aura nerfs targeting any allies in a radius may hit minions too although it would be undeserved.

The Relic Chambers tileset has a little golem roaming around!

For the past few leagues, and especially this league, I have been discouraged. This weekend I tried Standard.

    Posted: 06 Sep 2021 10:44 AM PDT

The past few leagues have been pretty rough for me, and I thought this was my fault. There is something with gear progress that has really messed me up ever since Conquerors, and Now I think I have a good idea of why.

Now immediately, you are going to ask "Why standard"? My theory is that Standard would address all of my issues with the current Atlas cycle:

    • I have already killed A9 Sirius and done the Maven progression, however I have never actually killed Maven.
    • I have been playing since Open Beta, so I have a LOT of items in Standard. Some Legacy, some not.
    • I had a good amount of currency in Standard (not really a lot in the grand scheme of things).
    • I generally do not like to kill bosses, play builds that aren't good at bosses, and builds that may not be easy to gear on a "fresh start".

So, I decided on Friday, that I would level a Flicker Strike Slayer. Not a regular Flicker Strike Slayer, but a Replica Farrul's Fur / Arn's Anguish Slayer with a Kitava's Thirst. Now Kitava's Thirst is not the best single target axe in the game, but I assumed that it would be perfectly fine for clearing maps. And yes, I was pleasantly surprised.

In under 2 days /played, I managed to level to 95. None of my characters in expedition reached 90. It was effortless, it was fun. I could do things like waste breachstones, heists, Beachheads, without feeling guilty. I had such a huge exalt lead when I started that gear "came easy". I was doing "Millions of DPS". If I adjusted my build, I could have done over 10 million. I crafted my own +1 Frenzy Charges / Strike Skills Target 1 Additional Nearby Enemy gloves. Crafted my own Cluster Jewels, all stuff that I naturally knew how to do, but largely never did due to resource scarcity.

But Standard isn't a perfect place. It does have issues.

The economy is "different". I was looking for a 800-900 pdps 2h Axe for single target so I could do something like feared. That was going to cost me at least 50 exalts. Crafting 2H Weapons is not something I am very knowledgeable about. I looked at Expedition prices and a 800pdps 2h Axe goes for 4ex. And no, the c:ex ratio is not like 10 times worse on Standard either (It's about half), so at that point, if I wanted to get a better weapon I'd have to do it myself.

But I'm not surprised at that. There are so many chase items in Standard. I would say there are way more chase items than there are in a new league because you have to consider these crazy legacy items. Like I could get a +1 Frenzy Corrupt Darkray Vectors... if I had over 100 ex, but on the opposite side, not a lot of people play standard - for reasons I can't seem to figure out. If you haven't figured it out yet, this was a very positive weekend for me.

So I asked around, and Standard is treated like a Joke league (even by GGG) when it really shouldn't be. You lose out on the current league, but get to retain all of your progression. People seem to really hate Expedition (or are at best apathetic) but when I suggest standard they reply with "hell no".

So what do people really want?

Ultimately, what I got out of this weekend is I don't think the problem is me. I think this game has a severe issue with its itemization and end game progression. Some streamers have tried to explain this to Chris over the past few weeks, and whether or not he listens will be whatever. I think the huge difference between pre and post Conquerors (and by extension echoes) is the focus on end game bossing ultimately limiting what builds you can and cannot find enjoyable, and how much more powerful items became post-Conquerors. What I also find interesting is that a lot of my old items got pretty heavily nerfed (looking at some old prefixes on Abyss Jewels and Shaper/Elder items) either before, or around Conquerors. Kinda makes me scratch my head.

Bricked Expedition Boss Thanks to Layout

Bricked Expedition Boss Thanks to Layout

So apparently this is a thing that can happen: the implicit "Contains X Boss" does not necessarily imply "contains X boss in a place you can get the explosives to."

First thing I noticed is that there's nothing else that spawned below the red line aside from the boss (weird but ok I'll roll with it). But then as I tried to get my explosives down onto the level of the map as the boss spawn location, it became increasingly clear there was no access point. I tried every spot along the red line with exactly zero success. Be careful with this tileset (Sarn Slums) if you're banking on fighting the bosses, I guess.

Is it worth getting really into this game if I won't ever buy stash tabs?

    Posted: 06 Sep 2021 06:38 AM PDT

So far I've played ~5 hours, and it's very fun.

But I browsed some online stuff and apparently stash tabs are a big thing.

Personally I'm from a third world country so even one tab costs a ridiculous amount for me, like a big chunk of my salary.

So I won't be able to buy stash tabs. So my question is, if I never buy stash tabs, should I keep playing or quit now before I'm too addicted? Thanks!
