[Build Support - 3.16] Support creating a Heist Farmer

    Greeetings Exiles ^_^

Very excited about theory crafting and builds this league after sitting the last one out. So! Shooting straight to the point; I'm trying to take the core behind this cool mechanic demonstrated by this fine fellow here:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffGslODtGAM&ab_channel=POEPathfinderBuilds

And create a Heist Framer with it.

    What is the core mechanic?

Using the Path finder Flask nodes to achieve 24%+ Max Hp recovery on flask use. Along with 4 flasks (Sapphire + Ruby + Topaz + Aquamarine) with gain 7 charges when hit and the "Use when full" enchantment.

    What is my budget?

I'm league starting but I'm up for any ideas :)

    What is my goal?

The build doesn't need to melt everything it touches BUT I want it to clear lvl 83 contracts without dying too much. So movement speed (Maybe phasing?) and a lot of damage

I tried to strip the POB he mentioned of the glacial hammer stuff and only keep the flask stuff, you can find it here: https://pastebin.com/rFdDQzjZ

Thank you so much for your effort and time :)

Creating an Int Stacking Wander on a 3.5ex budget

    Posted: 17 Nov 2021 05:38 PM PST

Edit (scroll to "Original Post" below for the rest of the guide)

I failed to mention something important here. I would not really recommend following this guide/build if you are a completely new player, or haven't played an archetype like a wander or ranger before. Lol ok, so why did I make an Int stacker guide on a 3.5 ex budget then if it's not geared towards new players? Well, like I briefly mention below, I just kept seeing people ask about making an INT stacker and then get discouraged, people telling them they need 50ex to get started. I was one of the people who also thought I needed 50ex to play the build, until I actually tried it. And when I did, it's been a top 3 "fun" builds of all time for me. I've been really satisfied with the progression of the build, which is something I also mostly glazed over in this post.

So, I sort of assumed this was implied by making an INT stacker, but when I say you can do it on a 3.5ex budget like I show here, that doesn't mean you want to KEEP it at a 3.5ex budget. As in, yes, this will get you through the atlas, but I'm not sure why you would choose an INT stacker if you are going to limit yourself to 3.5ex. This is a build that has immense scaling, so the more currency you pump into it, the better time you will have.

I would highly advise you to NOT play the build if you want to KEEP the build at 3.5ex budget. Just play a regular elemental wander if you just want to put in a couple exalts and stop. The idea is that this will get you started.

Regarding the POB, I accidentally selected the wrong mod on the Split Personality, which ended up putting us at 5,600 ES rather than the Dex/INT Split Personality which leaves us with 5,465 ES. So yeah... you have 150 less ES than the POB below shows.

As for the tree, I made it a level 98 tree so that people can see the options of what to do with the final skillpoints. Sometimes I'll look at someone's guide that only goes to like 92, and I'm wondering what they would do if they had more skillpoints. That was my intention here.

If you are only level 85, 90, etc, simply drop some of the less important nodes, for example: Prodigal Perfection (this doesn't gives us much, and saves 2pts)

Forces of Nature. No one else on poeninja seems to take this node, but it's about 10% more dps for 4 pts, which is a pretty standard 2.5% per node, PLUS it forces us to get 10 more dexterity, which I was really starving for on my own build, AND it opens up the elemental mastery which you can either :

    • Use for "take reduced reflected damage" to run reflect maps in combination with Soul of Yugul,

    OR

    • Take the 15% all res node if you need more resists.

Though, the items I imported from trade for this guide must have had a lot of dex, because we are super overcapped.

Whispers of Doom (this is just more boss DPS, it does absolutely nothing for you while mapping, and costs 4pts)

Energy shield (Unnatural Calm) - I didn't even spec this node myself until I was my current level, 94. I didn't feel like I needed the ES personally.

As a replacement if you are lower level, I would suggest picking up Soul Thief for 2 points, for %ES restore on kill.

Finally, some folks have missed the point of the trade links and POB items. It's just to server as a baseline, not something you HAVE to copy 1 for 1. Yes, the helmet in my POB has one T3 ES roll, and a T3 Fire res roll or something. That does not mean YOU need that T3 ES roll, just use a single Shrieking (Or Deafening if you have one) and stick with what you have. You can easily make up the ES or Resists on other gear, e.g. rings, amulet, boots, shield, jewels. I really didn't intend to mislead people by putting a single T3 ES roll on one of my gear slots.. It seems pretty reasonable to hit that without like 1-2 essences.

    Original Post

I often see people saying things like "You need 50ex to even clear white maps on an int stacker" (see this entire post) and other crazy things about the price of playing an int stacker, so I wanted to share a budget version that I rolled myself on Day 3 of the league and cleared all atlas content with. This is heavily inspired by CaptainLance's int stacker which you can find here. I do not take credit for the build idea by any means. Lance has not made a full guide for 3.16, and we have had a lot of changes with the skill tree this league, so hopefully, this post is useful to some people.

Purpose and Capabilities of the Build

This build (in my opinion) is best used to blast the atlas and not struggle with any normal content types (legions, t16s, rituals, delirium, whatever) while doing so. I don't want to be a slow mapper, but I also don't want to die constantly or have zdps on bosses (e.g. Ice Shot, TS on low budget). This build sufficiently covered all of those bases for me. I did not have any trouble with A8 T16 maps or conqs. On the budget version here, A8 Baran for example should die after he gets 1-2 attacks off. Sirus is annoying with Ghost Reaver because you cannot regen naturally, so if you step into the storms you're gonna have a bad time. I haven't tried it myself, but I think unspeccing Ghost Reaver and taking Wicked Ward instead would allow you to have a much better time on Sirus. I usually die to storms 1-2 times during the fight since I cba to do this.

The build uses Vengeant Cascade (projectiles return to you from their final target) + Spellslinger/Hydrosphere which allows you to put the orb behind the boss and have the projectiles return and hit them again.

This effectively doubles your DPS on stationary targets. Frankly, a lot of the bosses in the game move a lot nowadays, so it's not like a dot build where this DPS is permanently up. You need to be standing still and attacking the boss to achieve dps of course.

    Path of Building

Here's the POB I just threw together using items I imported from the trade links listed below, so the gear is very realistic for the exact budget that I am showing you below. This is 3.8M DPS not including the returning projectiles from vengeant cascade. As mentioned above, this damage is doubled with returning projectiles from vengeant cascade, putting us at around 7.6M dps. As far as I know there is no pob-warrioring in the config, and this is Shaper DPS without flasks. Please correct me if there is something ticked in the pob that should not be.

    Ascendancy Order:

    Gathering Winds

    Far Shot

    Endless Munitions

    Focal Point

Trade Links (if this post gets any attention, these items may increase in price. I recommend making slight modifications to the mod filters on the right side if things get more expensive)

Wand = 10-20c for Lightning dmg per int mod + suffix to craft crit/atk speed

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/QnPMrGvTw

Helmet = Any helm with int/res/ES is fine. For a lot more dmg for little more cost, you can get PS +2 proj enchant on hubris circlet for 90-100c and throw a couple of Shrieking essences of spite at it.

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/wPl7edcb

Body = 6L Regalia with 600+ ES and either some INT or a suffix to craft flat int or %attr = 1ex

https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/gWgZ3D7fQ (corrupted is fine if there's a good one, but there's plenty for 1ex that are uncorrupted as well)

Gloves (Thunderfist with Attack Crit or Atk speed corrupt) = 10-15c

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/X5abWeRtP

    Belt = 1c

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/RrbVgBc7

    Shield = 10c (70% res, 30+ int, 180+ ES)

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/bWEm9ZzTL

Amulet = 5-40c Vengeant cascade amulet with some relevant stats is good. You can get a talisman for really cheap (5-15c), or an uncorrupted, regular amulet for 20-40c.

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/yRBM84qiR

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/dZepB4RsJ

Boot = 2-5c. You just want good int and some res, with either 20% ms or open prefix for ms craft. Any other stats like ES or more res are good if u want to spend like 5c more.

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/ojGGplKFl

    Rings = 5c for CotB

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/42Ewt9

Rings are so plentiful, you can get a great rare ring for 1c. Res, attributes, open prefix for WED craft, ES, anything like that is great. There are dozens of rings like this for under 3c.

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/E6aarGYC5

Averaging out the costs of all of that gear, INCLUDING the +2 enchanted Hubris, you are looking at around 300c, or 2ex. To make it cheaper, feel free to drop the enchant, or drop the Regalia ES to like 500, and you save like 100-150c.

All you need now are the cluster jewels, which are pretty cheap as far as 3-notable clusters go. You can also skimp out for a 9 passive or a 2 notable and pay like 5c instead of getting near perfect ones shown below. Personally, I hate dealing with clusters, so I would opt to get the "perfect" ones outright (or craft them yourself for a 50-90% discount).

    Large Clusters = 200c total (~1.3ex)

50-60c for a 3 mod cluster jewel with Fuel the Fight, Opportunistic Fuscilade, and 3rd mod that you may or may not allocate (don't allocate unless you can get Martial Prowess)

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/2rpp28Vik

1ex for 3 mod cluster jewel with Feed the Fury, Opportunistic Fuscilade, and 3rd mod which you don't allocate unless you get Martial Prowess.

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/vPwwYVjTE

Note that these clusters are extremely easy to craft yourself with Harvest if you want to save a ton of money. Buy the 8mod wand cluster (ilvl 50-68) and use Harvest reforge attack, and you will get these extremely frequently. You can also use Serrated Fossils to hit these with 1/11 chance, which will cost you about 30c on avg.

    Medium Cluster = 25c

Blast Freeze and Eye of the Storm = (very important imo, blast freeze is huge for mapping survivability) https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/bV8VlXRSL

Near max roll Fertile Mind = 2c

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/glJbKsQ

    Split personality with Dex+Int = 3c

    https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/bV8MEqDTL

Lastly, you want some regular cobalt jewels with some of the following mods:

RESISTANCES, global multi; increased max ES, attk speed with wands, attk speed while holding shield, attk speed, int, dex, str. These can range from 1c to 1ex depending on how many relevant mods you want. I would aim to spend 5-10c per jewel on a cheap budget. You can easily get +% all res, and 1-2 other relevant mods for like 5c.

You'll get about 5 of those jewels, so lets say you spend 35c (7c avg per jewel)

Altogether, your jewels will cost about 270c, or 1.5ex.

This puts your grand total at 3.5ex for a wander that will blast T16s and has excellent single target dps. If you self-craft the gear, you will find yourself spending half that price. However, I would not really recommend self crafting a budget build like this, because if you're gonna make the effort to craft, you may as well fully commit and spend more to make the gear better.

How do you survive? Well, you are a ranged build with huge AoE freezes. You have a lot of leech and a decent ES pool that continues to grow as you get more int. You will occasionally die to Phys one shots. I often died in Scourge at 200-300 stacks (maybe once every 10 maps I would die) until I got to around 6,500 ES, and probably around 1.5x the dps shown in this version. Once I got around there, I stopped dying.

    Final Thoughts

I do not claim that Int Stacking Deadeye is the best build that can be created with 3.5ex. You can easily go play Poisonous Concoction or Necro and probably do more content on this budget. Most of the gear shown above and in the POB is pretty shit. I mean, we are trying to Int Stack on like 3ex. But this WILL get the job done until you are getting to more extreme juicing or bossing. If you are willing to spend ANY more money, you should get, in order:

    • A wand that is not horrible. You can spend 1-2ex and get a MUCH better wand.
    • Another medium cluster, with Pressure Points and Quick Getaway (~1ex)
    • Boot enchant (1-160 lightning dmg to attks, % ele pen if you haven't killed, attk speed if you've killed, etc. Run uber lab one or two times with Twice Enchanted and you will probably get something good here.
    • A body armour that has better suffixes (you really want %attributes craft or %int crusader mod, or both. I made mine for 3ex, not including the cost to 6link it. https://i.imgur.com/aezIhre.png
    • Better ring
    • Synth amulet with %int implicit
    • Gloves with ES (and some attr, atk speed, whatever) for a more defensive option instead of Thunderfists
    • Atziri's Reflection is really nice QoL to be curse immune. It also gives a lot of dmg (Int) and 30% to all res which is really nice.
    • ES on hit watchers eye (6.5ex)
    • You can craft your own wand (I self crafted this for 9.2ex total cost).
    • Better helmet (%int)
    • Synth belt (%int implicit)

Lastly, there is an Occy version of this build which may or may not be "better". I have not played it personally. I would imagine it is even better than Deadeye on a budget, but I can't speak more on it since I haven't played it.

I would highly recommend watching CaptainLance's video in addition to the info I provided here to get a better idea on how to play the build, and what mapping looks like (as of last league).

Arakaali spiders for mid tier bossing on a budget?

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 05:05 AM PST

Basically I would like for my build to be able to do Sirus, Elder,Shaper,Twisted,Formed and Maven as a baseline .Nothing crazy like feared ,hidden ,uber elder ,uber atziri etc. but huge bonus points if it can.

I would like for it to be on the tankier side if possible and hopefully use gravebind for QOL (though not necessary).

My budget is about 30-35ex so I would like to know if it's possible to do this on my budget or should I look for some other build.

    Thank you.

Skele Mage experts, help me get to next level and clear Sim 30

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 05:45 AM PST

Hi all - I'm hoping to get some expert eyes on my current Skele Mage character/pob with some suggestions on upgrades and things to focus on. I've only gotten up to wave 27 or so. I think DPS is my problem since I'm not killing those mobs fast enough (only getting like 3/4 rewards past 24.) I have about 15ish ex to spend if it would be worth it.

https://pastebin.com/p9t7En1L - 13 Skeles, 7m total DPS with LMP (9.6m with Hypothermia) without Vaal.

    A few things to note/thoughts:

    • I just swapped out my 8 passive cluster after self rolling that one which resulted in a loss of fire res, which put me under 80 possible, which I have to fix. (endurance charges puts me over though)

    • I imagine I should probably be going dual cluster? When looking at PoB, it feels like a huge defensive loss but maybe the increase in dps (18ish%) would make up for that?

    • I see people running the 12 passive 35% effect larges, are those best to target?

    • Is 13% chaos res enough?

    • I'm still not sure how how much I like my meglo. Adding onslaught and max endurance charges feels good, and PoBs for better true single target and burst after popping vaal skeles (9% more dps while onslaught is up then a basic 2 noteable)

    • My helm is admittedly shit, I got lazy while rolling with greeds once I got +2 and my AG (Kingmaker, Garb, Mask, Victarios, Soutbounds) has been totally fine in it. I can prob fix res/add more chaos res there.

    • I know not many people per ninja are running awakened controlled destruction, but it feels better to me then ele focus since I don't want to lose the chill for swapping in Hypo for true end game single target, and you gain the unnerve.

    I really appreciate the help.

[Help] Minions build stuck at improvement

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 05:12 AM PST

Currently following that build Witch - [3.16] Cold Carrion Golem & Spectre Summoner | Build guides for all budgets | - Forum - Path of Exile

My PoB is: https://pastebin.com/1rtcpXLb with SO Spectres, I love their clear and phantasm to compensate single target for map boss with golem also

Overall, I am reaching the medium budget of that guide, but using multi target gems and not counting phantasms as the build, I feel it's cheating, not sure..

My problem now is that the intermediate budget is HUGE gap, worth hundreds of exalt...

Having "only" 15 raw exalt + 10-15 ex worth of other stuff, I wanted to upgrade my build to have more dps and either getting more tanky or faster MS to zoom zoom

I am noob and no idea what I can upgrade first that will have noticeable difference.

I move too slow and get one shot a lot in map, and can improve clear I am pretty sure.

Not looking for boss killer, I have guardian for that, just zoom zoom walk simulator, slightly tankier than now and will be super nice!

For me, I already feel 7/10 with that build, my standards are low

Not against changing minions type or anything, but chill gameplay like spectres or golems

    Any help will be godsend!

    Thanks Exiles

Looking for advice regarding Animate Wapon

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 07:55 AM PST

I'm currently playing an Animate Weapon necro. The build is great and I like it a lot but there is one thing that bothers me: I have to resummon the weapons every 40 seconds. Which means 2 or 3 times every map. I'm fine with doing it once at the start but the resummoning is really bothersome, especially on higher gem levels with 18 weapons.

Is there any way around this? I remeber a passive on a SRS build that had a chance to renew their timer every time they hit. Does anything similar exist for animate weapon?

Tried Occculist Spiders, didn't like it, suggestions for "gigachad" content?

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 05:20 AM PST

Just looking for a few suggestions on what people think can handle what steelmage calls gigachad content, i.e. simu wave 30 and other aspirational content. Tried arakaalis fang occulist without the squire and while it can do it, I just don't enjoy the playstyle.

Tried the int stacking CI flicker strike raider a week ago and enjoyed that playstyle, but felt weak against high tier bosses.

Got a budget of about 80ex in SC.

Petrified blood: what it is and isn't (hint, it is not a direct buff to "tankiness")

    Posted: 17 Nov 2021 12:17 PM PST

I wanted to start a discussion about this relatively new spell, because I see a lot of people have misconceptions about what this spell actually provides.

Petrified blood unlocks a pretty complex set of interactions, but the TL;DR is outside of any other effects, starting from a low life state, PB gives you a .8 multiplier to EHP against hits, and a pretty devastating .5 multiplier to EHP against DoTs. The inherent upside is that when you are in a low life state it enables life overleech. Note that if you start from a full life state, PB does give you a 1.4 EHP multiplier (my math could be wrong, but conceptually you get an EHP buff when at greater than half life), but also disables every life gain mechanism other than flasks.

So the benefits to reserving 35% of your mana (not counting reservation efficiency) are not very straight forward. Probably for most life-based builds Grace or Determination are going to be better buffs for strict tankiness.

So, what are the ways to actually benefit from the set of buffs and nerfs that PB provides? Here are some of the ways it can benefit a build, although I doubt this list will be comprehensive and welcome feedback and additions:

    1. Enables life-based builds to play with a low life state consistently enabled. This can, for some builds, give flat phys scaled by life via Bloodthirst support, as well as enabling other useful low-life effects.

    2. Enables reserving more auras off life without having a huge EHP penalty for doing so. Very frequently it's more useful to use this for auras that have flat reservations such as precision and vitality. Because Arrogance is such a big multiplier it can be inefficient to reserve many %-based skills off life.

    3. Greatly increases the effect of life-gain mechanisms in a low life state. If you have built enough EHP to not get one-shot (which PB makes more difficult) PB can make life sustain much more effective, which can be a buff to tankiness in many situations, although the increased vulnerability to one-shots and DoTs still makes PB an overall nerf to tankiness.

    4. Make Adrenaline much easier to keep more-or-less permanently active for Champion builds. Adrenaline is a huge buff that doesn't have many sources, so I think this is one of the #1 reasons to build around PB.

    5. Enable over-leech. Again, it's another buff to sustain, but with Vaal Pact it can really keep a character going, and is especially useful for no-regen maps with DoT ground effects.

What do you think? Am I wrong here? Do you have more ideas for how to utilize this spell effectively? I think one pretty big downside I haven't mentioned yet is this: for builds that have a lot of gem slot pressure, being able to reserve a bunch more auras isn't necessarily helpful, so it's definitely a big trade-off on several vectors. These factors all combine to make it a pretty niche spell. What builds do you know of that can use it effectively?

Spectral Throw Build Review & DPS Count

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 07:27 AM PST

    Hi Reddit,

Not new to builds and PoE in general, Spectral Throw has always being an open subject with one of my friends and I, kinda nostalgic of how good it was gameplay wise. So today I tried to revisited an old Champion Impale variant of the build to our actual timeline. /Credit Engineering Eternity

    PoB : https://pastebin.com/3eLGHef7

    Quick Summary of the build

Offense Total DPS Boss Calc : 7.5M 3 Projectiles hitting on a target "count" with Slower Projectile setup with Dying Sun; 8 Impale; Pride Max Effect; HoP Buff; Frenzy generation on boss; 85% crit; 430% crit multi; 100% hit chance
    Defence 90% Phys Dmg Reduction; 79% Max Res; 133k EHP with Molten Shell triggered; Shock Reduced effect on flask; Poison immune on flask; Freeze immune on Flask; Phys reflect immune pantheon + tree mastery; 30% reduced extra damage from crit;
Speed Total DPS Clear Calc : 3.4M 1 Projectiles hitting on a target "count" with Greater Projectile setup with Dying sun; 8 Impale; Pride Max Effect; HoP Buff; 4 Frenzy generation; 85% crit; 430% crit multi; 100% hit chance; Onslaught; Elusive; +16% Attack Speed when Killing Boots enchant
Viability Targeted T16 Mapping; Endgame Content; AW8; Maven; Etc
Cost of the PoB gear/gem High Budget Cost (50 to 200ex probably)

    Review :

    • Does counting 3 \ Spectral Throw on Full Dps is a correct calculation considering 3 constant hits on a boss ?*
    • How viable do you think the build is ?
    • Does the Attack rate feels enought ?
    • Offensive side : How would you make the build better ? / What lacks ?
    • Defensive side : How would you make the build better ? / What lacks ?

    Flasks for sustain [Question]

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:57 AM PST

    Hello everyone!

Since the edition of conditional flask usage, is it possible to run solely flasks for sustain? No Vaal pact, no strong regen, nothing else, just a life flask with instant use on reaching low life.

I am not talking about defenses just the sustain part.

Getting some pantheon nodes for the life flask and some nodes on the tree with charge generation.

So, again, can you solely rely on your life flask for sustain?

Thinking about making ranger deadeye with gale force and the less damage taken if you weren't hit keystone, grabbing some life flask nodes near ascendant start. Will that be enough?

As title mention I'm looking for a SSF build to re start the league, I have done what I wanted in trade.

Not interested in TR champ / poison conc / bane occultist has I've done that this league already.

Got no experience in making build myself but would be interested in any type of flicker strike or ignite prolif build since I've never done those.

Trapper or Skeleton Mages for Bossing?

Have been farming towers forever, and saved up enough Nurses for a Headhunter and made another 30ex or so on top of that. I'm getting kind of bored with it, and want to have a build to boss/change it up when Towers get boring.

I'm considering either Skeleton Mages or a Trapper. Going into it, I will probably cap my budget at 30ex for now, as I don't want to sell my MF build or HH.

With that said, which should be better for things like the Feared with 80% quant? Maybe Wave 30 simulacrum? I saw Skele Mages can do that, but haven't seen anything about a trapper doing wave 30.

Anyways, would love to hear from anyone who has played/is playing either of these builds.

Any good Delve/Lab runner combo characters?

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:40 AM PST

Looking for something with very high move speed that would be decent at doing both Lab and Delve.

Is this possible? Or is there just not enough overlap?

Need help building an end-game Eye of Winter Build

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:22 AM PST

Currently running spellslinger eye of winter, happened to drop a mirror so now I have 200ex to spend on improving the build. Haven't used this skill prior to this league so not really sure how to scale it much into end-game, poe ninja seems to have a lot of different methods so not sure what to follow either.

Currently planning on picking up a headhunter just for the sake of having one, goal of being able to do semi-juiced maps(don't really care about super modded t16s 100% delirious etc), basically just want quicker mapping. Still want some ability to boss on the build though, so needing to have the build be strong "enough" with no HH buffs.

Im just trying to go crit based, but with no clusters. Not sure if there are better approaches using clusters/other gear changes/etc. Also swapping to self-cast instead of spell-slinger(figure it probably can push out more damage).

Thanks in advance for any help people are able to give, haven't fully mapped out a build from mostly scratch in a long long time

POB is sort of more aimed towards a fully end-game kind of build, not necessarily what's affordable/realistic with 200ex, just so I can plan out an end goal

Ignite discharge elementalist farrul's fur charge generation question.

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:17 AM PST

I league started ignite discharge and put it down until i got enough currency to come back to it. I have the farrul's fur now but it feels quite bad to play. I assumed other people had some way of generating charges in-between cat's stealth but when I look at their builds I don't see anything that would generate a charge. Surely these people aren't getting to level 97 by walking around in circles waiting for their power charges to come back, but I have no idea how else they're doing it. They have no charge generation on their gems or gear.

Needs a cyclone build to save my wrists. HH Gen cry bladeflurry or Cyclone Shockwave?

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:10 AM PST

Need it for Nem 3 farming with HH but also Sirus 9.. Possibly the feared too if either can handle it.

Would switch out to Coil for s9 / feared.

I haven't played either and I've seen multiple ascendency's to build them.. Anyone with better knowledge have a preference?

    Dancing Duo Occultist is back.

    Posted: 17 Nov 2021 06:50 PM PST

So I haven't played in a while, one or two of you might remember my DD Occultist from a while back that had all its ES gutted from Occultist and Abyss Jewels.

Well after trying some things out in standard I decided I'd start Scourge with a DD and it's still a blast. Standard version has done ok against The Formed and The Hidden, but I wouldn't throw my league build at those yet. Comfortably does the indivudual guardians though and I'm loving the great phys reduction with Ailment immunity, since those were two huge weakpoints of the previous builds. The core of the build is now helping out Profane Bloom and low convocation cooldown for clear speed, and focusing on wither effectiveness for bossing.

I'll be rewriting my guide but here's the list of major changes:

    • Shuffle Aura's around into an enlightened 6link with Determination, Discipline, Precision and Despair. Purity of Elements and Defiance banner take up life reservation.

    • 4W Triad = big damage with void manip. Makes up for the HP upscaling since I last played, even 2W with faster attacks is huge boost.

    • Tree is focused on utility and eventual top level scaling is achieved through stupid cluster jewels.

    • Switching from +1 Curse ascendancy to focus on Wither effectiveness.

    • Getting a 2 second Convocation going - you're now a "minion bomber", press spacebar to clear the screen.

    • Worm flasks count as Health and Mana flasks, that's infinite DD uptime with the flask charge regen nodes.

Here's the PoB as I entered maps (Found an Ex in A7, hence the +2 Shavs) https://pastebin.com/KgWrkuai

and the PoB as I'm working through to Sirius (1 Guardian down so far) https://pastebin.com/2h0v51rb

And a video of a random red map: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT8GCNybV8k

The biggest disadvantage atm is that the Simulacrum and Maven arena's are terrible for getting the swords going again. You will still need a reduced flask charges used belt and 3 worm flasks to get back in.

Tree for my standard DD with legacy gear and using the old tree as a basis*:

    https://pastebin.com/MKCsmmfy

*The DD base has been nerfed by 5% since then, and so has the ES from Abyss jewels (20% nerf), but it's less reliant on the ES from those with Energy from Nought cluster jewels.

Need help with offensive skill for Berserker + Bow, bosser

    Posted: 18 Nov 2021 09:08 AM PST

Hi everyone, I'm building a tanky Berserker and wondering which offensive skill would fit best. Imagine I can face tank Sirus 9 (keyword, imagine), I want a skill/skill set that minimizes the time I need to stand there. So no problem with channeling skills or anything, I just want a skill to kill bosses as fast as possible.

I have all sockets, about 20 passive points and most item slots available.

    Prerequisites:

    - Must be Berserker. Can be Pathfinder if the trade off is really appealing

    - Must use Quiver (thus bow if I remember correct)

    - Quiver and belt slots are already taken

    - Passive tree runs to Ranger starting area and two cluster sockets at the bottom. So say, bottom and bottom right area

That's it, quite free otherwise. I think the tightest spot is in passive trees, so I think I must put more emphasis on items for dmg. That means it can cost a lot. I don't really have a requirement for budget, since I can farm more. Amazing if less than 5ex, good if 5-20ex, a bit tough if over 20ex since I work IRL quite a lot this time of the year.

I'm thinking league starters like Toxic Rain, but I played it last league so I want something new.

    Thanks for all the help!

    RF Inquis League Sum up

    Posted: 17 Nov 2021 09:29 PM PST

Made it my goal this league to beat Maven (for the first time! ) and now that the goal is complete, I thought I'd share the experience of playing RF this league as a starter.

Final POB - Nothing to special and should look very familiar to the fathers of RF ( pohx and captainlace) - https://pastebin.com/ZdrzYbLA

Starter - Fire spell slinger til second ascendancy. Regen is SUPER GOOD this league as a recovery mechanic and found that I was RF'ing very early on in the league without any issue. Overall the biggest hurdle for RF is either Replica Soul Tether or Doryani's Timeless jewel to really get rolling in maps but otherwise this was a great starter this league ( and fairly popular by the looks of it).

Mid Game - Once I got my Timeless jewel I was off the the races in maps. Started with Rise of the Phoenix and balefire and transitioned out of it to crafted rares as soon as it allowed. With the sheer amount of Regen available to Inquis this league you really don't need a ton of Max Fire Res. I fully expect you can run RF with just 75% max res no problem. Also what really set my life to never die status was getting the elder Life Recovery Rate which is a MULTIPLIER to both regen, and life Regeneration rate. I got this on belt and timeless jewel and just bosted my regen to over 3k without batting an eye.

End game - Gem levels. Gem levels matter quite a bit to RF now and alongside Dot Multi and increased Fire/Burning makes your RF scale fantastically. +2 amulet is relevant (although I miss the comfiness of Flammability Impresence ) alongside, and the importance of being able to use a crafted rare shield for +1 fire gem makes it more relevant. Of note! Sacrificial Garb has +1 for Vaal RF as a base implicit. If you're hosting your RF in your GG helmet, this is another source of Gem levels if you're using a crafted rare chest piece.

Min Max thoughts - I was no where near end game items for most of my stuff and I was roughly rocking a combined 4-6 mil Shaper DPS with a ton of thiccness. Most of that thiccness comes from Regen, but there is room to sacrifice for glancing blows + es/life on block or other defenses. Determination is Bamf alongside a +phys reduction watcher's eye. Overall Determination, Defiance, Molten shell are already a thicc defensive layer and combining that with Divine Shield ( and in my case Frost Shield when I have to stand still ) create a nice healthy buffer to allow your regen to kick in.

Besides getting a GG RF helmet, there is room in my load out to improve Rings, Belt, Scepter ( somewhat) Shield and chest piece. Not to mention a potential + 2 gem levels from awakened ele focus / burning. Also of note on Reservation. There's alot of room to play around with auras. I had Determination, Malevolence, Skitters, Defiance, and Vitality. With some enlightens am fairly positive you can fit in Aspect of the Spider for another aura.

My total investment was about 10-15 ex with alot of it just being pieces bought along the way. The definite entry cost is Doryani's or Replica soul tether but it seemed particularly pricey this league.
