PSA for anyone still struggling! Posted: 24 May 2022 11:50 AM PDT I had a completely horrible league start and mostly this was because of the builds I was playing. I played builds that last league wouldve been awesome but are now too squishy. However I gave Palsterons EA Ballista Elementalist a try and it is amazing. Its tanky AND ballista taunt is giga strong! Its great at clearing huge sentinel packs and so far the only thing I've struggled with is single target but its still fine (its also because my gear isnt optimal yet). So basically for anyone still struggling, try it and thank you for an amazing build guide Palsteron if you see this haha. [link] [comments]
100% of lightning/cold taken as fire is now possible. Posted: 23 May 2022 06:06 PM PDT Title. Sublime Vision is a new jewel added this league that gives you up to 40% aura effect and adds a new modifier to an aura, at the cost of disabling all other aura skills. Think of it as overcharging one aura at the cost of the rest. For our purposes, I want to look at the Purity of Fire variant, which reads:
This can be combined with Dawnbreaker for up to 50% lightning/cold taken as fire, and the final piece of the puzzle is the Tempered by War keystone found in Lethal Pride Jewels . Things to note about this particular combo:
Not sure what to make of this, Doryani's prototype is an obvious pair, the build always struggled with lightning colds with that -200% res. Yes Tempered by War also give 50% less lightning res, so you actually need -400% lightning res to get to the -200% cap. Funnily enough, running melding just for the -res is a good idea. The other idea is, since we can't use Auras, to pick skills that scale well with other reservations, such as Herald of Ash. A Chieftain using phys spells (Tornado, Blade Blast) is a natural option here, and chieftain also get 100% fire res and 20% phys taken as fire. Between Chieftain and Purity of Fire, I don't even think you need more than one res affix on your gear. With free suffixes, you can build as much crit multi as you want. Of even go for a strength stacking route, since you have free range of your suffixes. [link] [comments]
Poison BV Assassin Thread (13m/16.5m peak dps, 53k/47k Dmg taken) Posted: 24 May 2022 10:07 AM PDT Hey Guys, recently wanted to revisit one of the old staples in Poison BV and I was quite impressed by the PoB number archieved by helix and bfbb poison builds so I took some of the most common concepts in these builds and applied them to BV. A few things about the build: 1. you would use obliteration for clear, this PoB simulates bossing DPS thus not including obliteration 2. GGG added flask nodes near ranger, this build tries to utilize these to achieve mana and life sustain as well as near permanent utility flasks with flaggelant prefix 3. this build uses the standard banner grace determination suppression setup 4. this build does simulate ramp DPS and poison duration focus, without focus and ramp the DPS drops by a lot (characteristic for poison builds) 5. Including awakened gems would net another 20-25% more DPS the first version includes a bit more investment into defense, but drops shield in favour of a second CIP, the second version drops defense investment for a thicc cluster setup but includes a shield to make up for lost defenses. The first one doesnt need BV helmet enchant and uses despair curse effect, the second one lacks a bit of invest in duration and uses BV duration enchant. Overall pretty similar, second one should be 5ex more expensive with the sought after cluster setup. Overall looks pretty impressive, maybe you have any ideas how to improve/make more efficient what I have theorycrafted. Maybe anyone has tried to rely solely on jacked up flasks, never done it. Posted: 24 May 2022 12:15 PM PDT So I have started with skelly mages which was a good all-rounder build but I want to swap to zoom zoom mapping. I leveled a duelist with hollow palm now I'm level 80 and can't decide what to go for. I have only 10 ex in my stash. Can anyone tell me pros and cons ? I'm playing SC Trade. [link] [comments]
Mage Skeleton Crit vs Non-Crit Posted: 24 May 2022 07:32 AM PDT Been referencing some guides such as Von Vikton and Ghazzy and crossing those across POE Ninja. I see a surprising large amount of players on their 6L using controlled destruction and elemental focus. (Given the budget of gear I see one PoE ninja is insanely crazy high) Versus the increased critical damage and spell echo. But, when looking at auras, they will still have zealotry and generosity and the mastery for increased crit chance on minions. -What warrants the 2? Is the insane multi-mirror budget version better on what PoE ninja is? Or what warrants selecting one 6L over the other? -I also see a lot of people throwing defiance banner in their trigger wand instead of lifetap, but still maintaing desecrate and bone offering. Guessing that's mainly for socket pressure. -Having trouble noticing when to drop skitterbots. Some say drop skitterbots after getting brittle boots (whether on your or your AG) and having the mastery for crit chance. Then you'd take out skitterbots for zealotry and generosity. Is that enough? Or should I wait until even later to move to crit? [link] [comments]
Help me! Seismic Trap Build Advice Please Posted: 24 May 2022 02:33 PM PDT Hello Everybody, I am quite new to this Subreddit and I think is my first post on reddit :) So I made a Seismic Trapper this league and got as far as I never have before. I am able to kill Maven, Sirius, Elder Shaper Uber Elder quite comfortable . By now I collected around 40 EX in my Stash and i am wondering how to proceed. I know my phys Build can be upgraded quite easily with more crit and another armour with 2 blue sockets. But i am still not sure how to go on. I never had so much currency before and I am also wondering if a change from physical to cold would be good and affordable. But how do I this? I don't understand it. I am following a seismic trap guide from pathofmathh and he mentions the cold seismic trap but doesn't go in it deeper. I also can't find guides on the transition written for newbies… . so my questions are:
Here is my POB: I am grateful for your help! Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2022 12:50 PM PDT Basically I started and followed pohx's RF guide, started as inquisitor, doing fine but I always like the chain explosion thing, then I decided to switch over to explode variant after I've finished crafting curse on hit ring. The problem is it's not chaining well, is it a damage problem or lack of AoE problem? Side note: I've watch the pohx's chieftain Explody RF I've read pohx's RF spreadsheet Also, thanks in advance Here's my character (sorry no pastebin, on outside ATM) : [link] [comments]

Crimson Temple Juice Farmer - Suggestions? Posted: 24 May 2022 12:21 PM PDT Just wrapping up my leaguestarter (Absolution Necro) now that I've banked up a solid amount of currency, looking to roll a map-dedicated character. Lets say budget around 50ex, willing to build up towards 100ex if there's room to grow. I really enjoy indoor map layouts, so I've been running Crimson Temple. Looking for a build that has a "charge into every pack and blow it up" playstyle. I'm running T15/T16 juiced Crimson Temples, with 40-60% delirium, (Ritual & Expedition!) and empowering with Sentinels - so I need to be able to take many small (and large) hits in close proxomity (especially Rituals). I guess this basically means max block and/or Aegis nowadays, but I'm open to suggestions. Prefer a more active playstyle - so no minions, no RF, no autobomber stuff etc. Currently been eyeballing Cobra Lash / Spectral Throw, or maybe a CoC Nova / Spear / Ball Lightning build (not really looking to do FR as I did that last league). Also wanted to try a CF build or self-chill/Fulcrum stuff, but I feel like those builds are better for lower-tier farming right? Anyone recommend some solid mid-budget builds for my needs? [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2022 07:53 AM PDT So I farmed up about 30ex and wanted to switch to farming Simulacrums. Now last league there were a couple of builds like arakaalis fang, skele mages, CoC FR etc. which could reliably farm Simulacrums, even tho CoC FR probably needed a much higher budget. Queue this League and the changes they done to rare monsters.. So me question would be, which build, if any, can still reliably farm Simulacrums with a budget of about 30ex? Small Edit: Please no Cremation :( Edit2: As stated in the comments, waves 27/28 would be enough to make a decent profit out of the Sims :) [link] [comments]
Need help on where to go next for RF Inquisitor Posted: 24 May 2022 11:41 AM PDT Hello! POB: https://pastebin.com/b7PtEgMZ POE: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/silkyslim/characters I'm looking for some advice on where to go next for my RF Inquis. My damage feels extremely low. Fights take ages, and I don't feel particularly tanky. So far, I've cleared everything up to Maven, Feared, Uber Elder, and Cortex. I've been trying to upgrade by Amulet by mashing together Fire Skill and Spell Skills, but so far, all of my attempts have lost me the Spell Skills. I've also been trying to create a T1 Life/Regen/Chaos stygian, but haven't been able to get the recombinators to work out for me yet. I've also been trying to get a Conc Efffect helmet to mash together with my Burning Damage helmet, but no luck on the Horrors yet (20+!) Should I be trying to transition to Aegis Aurora? I've got about 20ex, so I have some budget to play with. But if I do that, I think I need to re-do most of my equipment to get the resists right, right? That feels really daunting. Would greatly appreciate any tips! [link] [comments]
Is Zealot's Oath hurting my Seismic Trapper? Posted: 24 May 2022 11:32 AM PDT Here's my PoB: https://pobb.in/zVex-ywjGQcs When I bought the Skin of the Lords that allocates Zealot's Oath I saw in PoB that I wasn't regenerating life so it seemed fine but my life recovery is feeling kinda bad. Does Zealot's Oath hurt the "Recover 2% of Life on kill" or "Recover 30 Life when your trap is triggered by an enemy"? I had Tinkerskin prior to the Skin of the Lords switch so perhaps that's part of it? [link] [comments]
Arakali vs Seismic trap for Uber bossing Posted: 24 May 2022 03:19 AM PDT Hello there. I am getting tired of mapping with my CF build and wanted to invest more into bossing this league, knowing I've barely ever done any of the uber bosses or harder invitations. I'd like a build that can comfortably run and farm the new Uber bosses. I don't need to insta-phase them or anything, I just want to do them quick enough while not dying too much due to my boomering hands. Currently I am a bit torn between Arakali and Seismic trap (probably not cold convert because from what I've read it's a bit out of my budget), I like both playstyles so I am fine either way but I am wondering which would be the most comfortable uber bosser regarding my budget. I have about 35ex at the moment and I probably won't roll this character for another week anyway. Thanks :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 May 2022 12:16 PM PDT leech and just life regen can't really cut it anymore, anyone got some solid underused defenses they know of? [link] [comments]
Help with Bladestorm Scion SSF Posted: 24 May 2022 01:54 PM PDT Hey all, I've been playing through the current league as a Scion using Bladestorm as my main skill. It has been decently smooth up until I hit the higher end of yellow maps. T10's are basically my biggest roadblock for content currently and can't seem to get through a T10 without dying a few times. My goal is to hopefully get this build to clear red maps comfortably if at all possible. Keep in mind, I play Solo-Self Found. Here is my POB that reflects my current in-game character: https://pastebin.com/X5V7Mr4F I will also be posting a few screenshots from in-game of my defense and offense tabs if it helps understand where my issues reside better. Out of the gate, I know I need to build more life on this character but I'm at a complete loss on how to accomplish this. I'm sure my passive tree is sub-par so any help with my passives would help a lot. When it comes to crafting, I'm also clueless. Any modifiers I should be looking out for in terms of crafting on the workbench and Harvest crafts I should b e chasing would be helpful as well. My damage probably lacks as well, but its my defenses I'm most confused about. I sit at around 90% physical damage reduction on T10 maps with over capped resistances and increased max values which puts me at 78/76/78. I have around 24k armor on the T10's pre flask & molten shell. Activated Granite Flask and molten shell will put me well over 30k armor. I switched to petrified blood and added leech from my passive tree with health regen and life on hit for extra synergy with petrified blood and it has done wonders for my survivability but I still get wrecked even with all these defense values. This is where I have no clue what to do because on paper it looks like I should be much more tackier. I do lack block chance which is only 39% but not sure how to increase this by sacrificing passives and gear to supplement it. I will post some screenshots below for my T10 in-game stats for defense and offense: This is T10 Waste Pool, no map modifiers to change player stats. Offense: https://imgur.com/a/hYj8Ojt Defense: https://imgur.com/a/qjdjkRC Misc: https://imgur.com/a/F5sRdey Charges: https://imgur.com/a/F5sRdey Here is my defenses when I git enemies: https://imgur.com/a/3sAk44y Skill Rundown: This build is obviously super scuffed and the skill gems I use probably make that blatant as hell. I'm running blasphemy with punishment in hopes to clear mobs quicker with the overkill mechanic that spreads to nearby enemies. Its an aura because id rather not self cast it as it seems counter productive to have to self cast the skill that's supposed to help clear packs. Maybe hextouch is better but I'm overwhelmed just thinking about how I can completely redo my entire skill setups to make hextouch fit because it will need to be a 3 link at least. Vitality is with arrogance so I can fit it in as an extra aura to supplement petrified blood. Shield Charge has lifetap to keep that up and running and also to not expend mana as I don't have much mana regen. This has not been an issue in the slightest, other than shield charge being super janky as a movement skill. Vaal Warchief with what seems like a generic 4 link setup. Bloodlust being the outlier as I thought maybe its more effective as I'm bleeding enemies. Could be wrong about that one though. Bladestorm has lifetap because its easy to keep it up this way and it benefits from the 40% increased damage with life cost skills as well as the 3 life cost nodes at the bottom left which I'm currently trying to get. Bloodthirst which by POB numbers seems to give the most damage when compared to pulverize and melee physical damage. This would be much more efficient if I had more health. Multistrike because I feel so weak if I don't run this and I'm trying to stack as much attack speed as possible because I've read this is the way to go for melee builds currently. Maybe this isn't true though? Scuffed setup for bladestorm though I'm sure of it. I was running fortify on my tabula as the 6th support gem before switching over to this 5 link armor piece. I can provide any additional info if needed. Hopefully there are ways to make this build more viable and able to start clearing some red maps with adjustments. I also want to reiterate, I know I'm in serious need of more life. Any advice on how to obtain more life whether that's through readjusting my passive tree or searching for certain harvest crafts, etc. it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Divergent Cobra Lash with 123% Gem Quality Posted: 24 May 2022 01:01 PM PDT It's me, the guy who's seemingly so obsessed about gem quality stacking and it's limits. Today a perfect claw dropped in the market, I immediately snatched and crafted it for the Cobra Lash build I wanted to do. The claw: https://imgur.com/a/FMdPFLs This is also without anything else, I will get me an Ashes of the Stars for another 30% Quality, would push it to 123% gem quality, for a total of 92% increased damage per remaining Chain. With the helmet enchant, Awakened Chain, Ricochet from Deadeye and +6 from the level 25+ Cobra Lash I get a whooping 13 chains, so it should add 1196% increased damage. ed: pastebin somehow doesn't work for me, so poeninja link will have to do, you can import it from there: https://poe.ninja/pob/7bW You also don't need the double implicit, it's actually kinda sad I lose the lgoh from Imperial Claw, will have to find a way to adress hat. You can just go for a normal claw and ditch some of the Gem Quality, the implicits on that one just add another 12%, aka 9% dmg per chain, (x13=117% dmg). So you'd still be able to get above 1000% dmg from this setup. Just a little bit expensive, as Squire is pretty much mandatory. But with it I can run Nightclaw, which is nice. So I have bazonkers Crit Multi and lots of increased damage with next to no investment from the tree or any other gear, which allows me to build around it as I see fit. It's also absoltely not difficult to make such a weapon, just get the base you want and slap Faceted fossils (look for best combination with other fossils for your specific base, it varies between weapon types) for the +1 to socketed Dexterity Gems. You can force the +1 all gems by filling suffixes and crafting "Cannot roll Attack Modifiers". But first you'd need to make sure you'll have an open suffix and two open prefixes after doing that, so you can craft the +2 Socketed Support Gems and the Phys/Poison. You can also maybe try to get some attack speed or crit chance on there, instead of the +1 Intelligence Gems I have (which is absolutely useless, though it looks nice). This is just a little fyi, I personally like gem quality stacking and I believe it is seriously underrated, as it has some huge potential in quite a number of cases. [link] [comments]
Need a help with boneshatter slayer. Posted: 24 May 2022 10:21 AM PDT Hey there, may i ask for some help/input on boneshatter slayer? Currently having an issue where i don't know what to improve next, should i already jump unto accuracy and Precise Technique? Or something else like trying to get a better weapon? I don't really have a clue since it's the frist time i play a non-unique heavy build. I sometimes die in strange cases so not really sure about how tanky i actually am, and having a feeling of not having enough dps for bosses (tried to do unending hunger and failed miserably, thus indicating that i did not pass the dps check) Currently having a 8 ex and around 240 c, plus various other stuff. I've thought of trying to roll a better helmet with +2 aura essences, and throwing life catalysts on the rings, maybe trying to get a better chest, but other then that i have no idea where should i look. [link] [comments]
is possible to make a tanky build without spell suppression, evasion or block? Posted: 24 May 2022 12:15 PM PDT I am theorycrafting an elementalist ignite build with echoes of creation and eternal apple, so high phys mitigation and no block. The dps is solid, sustain is amazing, but i don't know in what direction take it to make it tanky. Determination and defiance banner is on but i think it is not enough. I was thinking about high phys mitigation, with phys as ele taken to mitigate the downside of the echoes of creation, so armor base that has no spell suppression. Get some phys as elemental taken, high elemental resistance with elemental aegis from elementalist to have more sustain. The build can kite, but with no evasion and no block, it will be taking all damage head on. Is mageblood.my.only.option? What.would you do in such build? I am accepting ideas! [link] [comments]
What's your favorite skill/build for Blight Map/Logbook farming that isn't Minions? Posted: 24 May 2022 07:48 AM PDT tl;dr What's your go-to non-minion skill/build for Blight/Logbook farming? I think it's well known at this point that Minions are the King of Blight Map Farming. You get a bunch of strong, nigh-unkillable friends summoned out that go crazy helping kill everything in sight. I have to imagine minions tend to be pretty good for Logbooks as well. However I prefer to farm my own Blight Maps and Logbooks, in fact my Atlas right now is setup to block everything except Expedition and Blight and other than those two mechanics, I only have Strongboxes, Synthesis, and Shaper/Elder nodes specced. And I don't personally like the map clearing feel with minions. I recognize they're strong, but I strongly prefer having control over my own damage and minions sometimes just don't do what I want them to do, even with Predator, Convocation, Feeding Frenzy, etc to try to control them better. That said, my league starter (Cold + Fire Wave of Conviction) is not particularly great at helping out my towers in Blight Maps cause Wave of Conviction is kinda short range and is a targeted arc rather than being a large AoE or a big chaining skill, etc. I've found comfort, finally, in farming these, as well as just clearing maps with a little bit of bossing thrown in to mix things up. So I want to make a character a little more "specialized" for map clearing and Blight/Logbook farming that isn't a minion build, recognizing I'm gimping myself out of the gate for Blight maps a bit by deciding not to use the strongest option. So what's y'all's favorite skill or build for Blight/Logbook clearing? I have to imagine Totems of some kind can be pretty decent since you can get some good coverage by plopping down some thicc totems and letting them kinda do some clear for you. I've had fun with some big Berek's ignite prolif in Blight before. Chaining skills like Arc, Storm Brand, Cobra Lash, SST could also be decent? Just wanted to get some thoughts to help me decide on where I wanna go next! [link] [comments]

How much budget do I need to play arakaali’s fang occu? Posted: 23 May 2022 05:19 PM PDT I want to try the arakaali fang build and was wondering how much budget do I need and how is the playstyle? I mostly do expeditions essences incursions and heists, Although I have been enjoying boss rushing strats and arakalli seemed fast enough for it. I can get to 10-15 ex (outside of arakaali and aegis , I am gonna be farmin aegis for my current build anyways and arakkali should not be more than 2-3 ex so it's fine) I can obviously save up more but just curious how much do I need to save before I can start it up. Help - got lucky, but I'm a noob Posted: 24 May 2022 02:45 PM PDT Hey! Came back to POE after a long time (last serious league was Delve, barely reached yellow maps on other leagues), so I'm somewhat of a noob on the current way of building chars. Started the league following Kobe's LS Zerker guide and did pretty well. Lucked out big time with an Apothecary div card on yellow maps and sold it for 40 ex. I've never ever had more than 2 ex in any single league so no idea how to use it to upgrade my char. Can someone who is better at this game help me prioritize my upgrades? Better claw? Gloves with pierce and extra strike? Save for Omni and hope I get there? Reroll to another char? Here's my current POB https://pastebin.com/CJyb91dB. Thanks!! [link] [comments] |
