| Posted: 18 Jan 2019 04:04 PM PST A friend of mine is going to play POE with me. I want to make a new character to only play with them. Any suggestions on duos with good synergies? Most builds are geared towards solo play. There are also aura bots. I would really like something in between where two players could play separately but are even better together. For example, maybe they each only have one aura but they are different and benefit each other together. I'm pretty new to the game (in second league -- softcore, btw). My friend is complete noob. | Posted: 19 Jan 2019 12:21 AM PST Hey! I'm trying to make a somewhat not extremely expensive Tectonic Slam jugg with Crit. Been playing with Razors now and want more damage. But i don't like the idea of Abyssus so i'm trying to make something else, but i also love having a character built on rare items. Never played something other than premade builds before so any help would be amazing, thank you :) Linking PoB, i know there's probably alot of stuff i've missed because it's a rework from my current character. You dont have to download path of building program in order to view builds. I recently found out you can use https://poe.technology/poebuddy/ to view builds. Just go to the site on your phone, browser etc and paste the pastbin code in and your off. You dont have to download path of building. Maybe most of you guys know about it but it has been an awesome tool for me if i just want to pull up a build I am working on in my phone. This mostly relates to Console users. | Looking for a bosskiller build/consistent mapper Posted: 18 Jan 2019 04:55 PM PST I've played quite a few builds this league: winter orb/storm brand elementalist, toxic rain, fireball trickster, Poets Pen. I've enjoyed them all but have grown tired of them. None of them killed bosses easily, probably the best one was my pp inquisitor but I didn't like the playstyle. I'm looking for a build to tackle all endgame content with ease (shaper, guardians, red elder easy kills), map at a reasonable speed, and enjoy the game while finishing my challenges. Got around 50 exs to invest. I'd love to hear your guys recommendations on builds that would be fun to try out. My current top list is ascendant based (love me some slayer leech and haven't played ascendant ever, I think)
I don't really like blade flurry and molten strike, minion, traps or totems. I prefer to do the damage myself (and I just dont really enjoy blade flurry and molten strike playstyle). Do you have any suggestions? Can you recommend one of these builds or one of your own? I'm eager to play for a few more weeks and really want to find a build I enjoy. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 18 Jan 2019 12:33 PM PST I've wanted to try out Ranger-Raider and use the Onslaught generation to boost my Charged Dashes and have tons of lightning/cold with Rippling Thought. But, I'm very inexperienced with making my own builds. My last two characters were ripped straight from build guides, and now I finally want to branch out on my own. I checked out the item Rippling Thought and it seems really cool. Plus, I love having a lightning theme for my characters. The more lightning, the better. The cold on top of that also seems really fun. I could get Voice of the Storm amulet, perhaps, and just continue to stack lightning procs? THe idea of a hybrid spell/attack character with tons of lightning is just up my alley. What sorts of things should I be looking for in the tree? I know I'll need health, but what are the really good keystones for lightning and things like that? Honestly, I'm not sure how to go about this, I need all the help I can get. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Winter Orb, Progression, Small Vs Big Steps/Upgrades(Long) Posted: 18 Jan 2019 11:41 AM PST https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/TheAdvantage63/characters L91 Elementalist in Betrayal(WoolsieMammoth) I started in Delve about a month before the D3 fiasco, so I'm relatively new but I did work through all yellow maps on an MS Jugg. I knew I wanted to be ranged and I recently rolled this Winter Orb char. I absolutely love it and want to take it as far as I can on my budget(presently 3ex and ~500c). This morning, I bought some 20/20 gems and went the Cold to Fire route, it's been a lot more damage and I love it even more. I'm still in Tabula and not exactly sure where to go next because my potato computer definitely cannot handle an Inpulsa even if my budget could. In terms of big upgrades, I know I need a helm with +2 WOrb stages. From seeing other profiles/guides, it seems I also want gloves with +1proj/+1aoe gems. In the long term, I'd also like to find boots with more MS. I know going to crazy shaper/elder opal rings would be a huge damage increase also. What I'm struggling with is which of these to prioritize. In terms of smaller upgrades, I just killed Atziri for the first time this morning so I equipped her flask but I'm not sure I need it presently. I would like to roll a life flask with instant recovery and bleed immunity, so I know that's just alt spam. My clear speed feels limited by how fast I can move(ie, except for bosses, everything gets frozen/shattered/dies before it can touch me) and I know when I can engage Syndicate and when to skip. I have an 89 Scion I could partially respec into a fossil farmer to aid in crafting boots/helm/gloves and I would probably enjoy that more than simply buying fossils but I'm most concerned with being time efficient. I'm building a pool of t10-12s and my atlas is at 122/159, but this is my first time adventuring into red maps. Feels like its going to be a lot harder sustaining 12/13+ than I'm used to in yellows(duh). I find myself back in 10/11s often and I guess I'm a little hesitant to dump a lot of currency into yellow/red sextants and buy all the 12-15s I need for completion bonus. Should I just suck it up and buy 2-3 of all the reds I need completion bonus for? I'd like to continue the shaper questline and eventually see some of those fights(shaper/red elder, uber down the road). I know it's a small investment to keep buying white sextants and shaped channel maps but I want more progression and I'm looking for input. I know my tree isnt perfect but I followed Zizaran's build mostly to a T with a few small changes(+ranger life nodes below acro). [link] [comments]  | ||
