Question about conversion, minion damage and golems Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:49 AM PST Hello, so i made a build in pob (frost blades) with a lot of conversion and increased minion damage which applies to myself. I just want to know how to calculate the damage output so i can balance it better I have 100minion damage which means 100increased damage for myself Now i do 100physical damage which is increased to 200, right? I convert 100% to cold, does that mean i have 200cold now? And if so, does that 200 get increased to 400 now or only the base damage of 100 again? Do i deal 300 cold now or 400 or 200 cold and 100 phys? How is elemental damage in that calculation? Only for cold? But if I convert to fire it will also increase the fire damage? Is there a good explanation for this somewhere? I still have a ton of questions but maybe if theres a good guide i could Check it by myself. Questions include Avatar of fire and the increase damage per golem i own etc [link] [comments]

Put together a Fire Trap build. Posted: 31 Jan 2019 05:20 PM PST So, I've never really made a build of my own. I've followed a ton of builds in the 2k hours I've had in this game, and gotten to points were I've decided to go my own way, but I've never outright made my own. So, this is a bit of a 'new thing' for me. I chose Fire Trap because its a skill I've enjoyed in the past, had a lot of fun with it, and was recently reminded of it's existence, and wanted to give it a go again. Other than that, I decided to just go for a very generic Trapper build, picking up most of the trap nodes on the tree, and the as it stands, the only uniques I intend to use with the build as Martyr of Innocence and Shroud of the Lightless. I forgot to add it to the PoB, but I intend to run with Flamethrowing trap as a supplementary single target damage skill. And I think Vaal RF would be worth adding to the build as well? Not sure, really, haven't touched the skill before. Defensively, I decided to go for around 4.5k life, and 1.5k Mana with MoM. I probably could use EB + Tinkerskin shenanigans, but I've done so many trapper builds with that, that I just don't want to use Tinker anymore. A lot of the gear I generated on the PoB likely has less HP than I could actually get, as I didn't take into account Delve mods, or Betrayal craft. I'm just curious to know if there's any glaring issues in the build that I'll run into, or some better optimization/pathing that I've missed. As for what I intend to do with the build? Mostly just mapping, with some boss killing potential. Not looking to go end-game with this. EDIT: PoB Bot seems to say my build has a ton of poison DoT, honestly, no idea where that's coming from, as my own PoB doesn't mention poison at all. EDIT: Also I didn't really take proper effort to do Res and SDI requirements, I just sorta threw them onto gear. When I put the build into action, this will be done properly. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jan 2019 09:47 PM PST This is my first season and I went with a ice crash build. I have a lot of fun with it but I feel like I should be able to get more out of it. I know I should work in getting more gems but sometimes I feel like I'm doing no damage at all and I just get deleted. If anyone has any advice on what to do I'd appreciate it. Sorry in advance for my newness https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/ggkid/characters [link] [comments]

Path of Building Question: Cyclone Attack Rate Posted: 31 Jan 2019 05:11 PM PST Is anyone able to verify if Cyclone's Attack Rate as calculated in Path of Building reflects that the skill hits twice per use? Ie. If the shown Attack Rate in Path of Building is "2.0" am I: 1) Hitting 2 times per second 2) Hitting 4 times per second [link] [comments]
Is Poet's pen VD still viable? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 10:52 AM PST Can you recommend a build for that? I dont even know what ascendency to go for. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]
Need help perfecting an oni build Posted: 31 Jan 2019 01:15 PM PST So I played wildstrike/MS oni last season. Twas fun, but I i felt that wild strike (probably due to my gear and not have lvl 21 gems) kind of peaked at mid tier maps. So I thought about swapping out wild strike for reave as I've had a bit of fun with it and I've heard it's clear speed end game is nice. I'm running a scion, was gonna go jugg/slayer in the ascendancy again. I was thinking duel 6L (oni andpossibly a belly instead of kaoms) and focus on straight fire damage so upgrades benefit both. Any input from more experienced buildmakers and oni users would be helpful. The PoB for the wildstrike i used last league is https://pastebin.com/FiDRQBna [link] [comments]
HoWA CI - best way to get reflect immune? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 01:11 PM PST If I insist on being reflect immune with a HoWA CI character, what's the best way to accomplish this?

Without using a shield, what is the minimum way to maintain Life Righteous Fire? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 10:34 AM PST I would like to use RF just for the more spell damage, but the life degen feels rather restrictive. [link] [comments] |
