Not even kidding, and it was beautiful. I was running maps with the speed and power of a deadeye with a fully controllable cyclone. No pebbles on the ground, no bullshit movement, no desync...

Did GGG choose me as their emissary? Did they come to me in my dreams to teach me the wonders of 3.7? As soon as I clean my pants I think I'm going to start a church of melee to spread the vision.

Whenever things come up about what is and isn't accessible to players, be it items/maps/bosses/whatever, a lot of people use the word "casual" to describe what players can and can't achieve. This would normally be mostly fine, but when it comes to path of exile, the view of "casual" seems extremely skewed.

A casual player is someone who plays 5-7 hours (of video games as a whole) per week. A casual player is not someone who beats shaper during a league (before someone feels smart, I'm aware it's more than possible with 5-7 hours per week over 12 weeks), it's someone that gets to yellow maps and then stops playing.

When people are arguing over the availability of red maps to players, they're already discussing the highest tier of players (whether you think of yourself/them that way or not), and basing things on what "casual" players are capable of stops making sense because those players will (by and large) never see that content.

This post doesn't really have a point, it's just a comment on the disconnect hardcore poe players seem to have with 75% of players.

In the latest league you knew all the rares that are on the ground can't compete with all the meta crafted stuff.

Back then you were able to pick an item up from the ground that dropped from a monster and you knew it could be all T1-T2 and it would be an endgame item. Today where there is fossil crafting, synthesized items and such things you literally just stop picking up rares cuz you know even if it's EPIC it won't be as good as a meta crafted one. And that does hurt my alteration addicted ass pretty much. I mean they are like 9:1 right now? It just feels bad.

I wish for a league in which items can drop from monsters again that can be also T0. I know the average player will never be able to find one but people will think they will and will have some more alterations on the market

Love, love love this skill in D3 and was very excited to see it coming to PoE. Absolute let down when it did though.

Here's hoping that the "melee" patch still takes into consideration fringe skills that are super weak, even if they aren't expressly "melee" in nature.

Obligatory: Yes, I hope Cyclone is awesome, too.

8PM - Get home, turn on PC, grab a quick dinner.

Start up game while scrolling through POE reddit.

Some showcases of items I'll never get to own in this lifetime... synthesis is the worst mechanic... hey! ice dragons niceee :)... melee is dead... same old, same old

Log into char. Right away, people start trade whispering me about some random jewel I dumped in my 3c b/o tab. I check price online. wOW! they go for 10c!? I whisper back "sry, sold' and then change price on jewel. ¯\ (ツ) /¯

Go on poelab, click on uber map. Don't look at map, but scroll straight to comment section. Top comment says today's a good run, so I download the compass file. ty for your service uber lab farmer :)

Open up lab compass. import.

Open poe.trade, search twice enchanted. DANGIT they cost 6c. Last time I remembered, an offering goes for 4c, so I say F it! No lab. I probably should've bought a bunch in advance :(

Open up trade macro

Open up atlas

A zana daily on T2 map. Woman, please. I ain't got the time for that weak-ass shieet.

Niko on a T13 map, SWEET. I take one out, alc n go. Sweet, sweet sulphite.

Then I realize my memories are all filled up, so I go to nexus. I just hook up 3 random memories to the 3 empty directions from nexus, and go back to h/o. I just hate running memories and falling into decays. Also, fractured items just give me a headache when I look at them.

Then I open up atlas again & see a T15 w. shaper's stronghold. I chisel one up, alc & vaal. Let's see here... no reflect! Every other mod I really don't care :P THIS IS GOING TO BE A JUICY ONE LEZGOOOO. GIVE ME THE MULAAA

RIP to boss.. my hard-earned XP... gone... that 10% was probably from like a good hour of delvin yesterday...

I say F this man, I'm out. Alt+f4. Open up Hearthstone, I realize it's a new expansion and I didn't save enough gold to buy any packs. All of my decks are in wild & completely useless. Well, F this. Apparently, the game does not wish to be played. I open up Overwatch instead.

I murder some bots in training ground & queue into competitive. 4 dps & 1 moira INSTALOCK. BAAM. F this game.

I finally realize that POE was my soulmate after all, so I open POE again. I alc&go some yellow maps I have too many of, some good currency, some rares that I don't even know whether they're good or not, some trash uniques, some random div cards, nothing special, but at least I don't rip. It's all good :) Good ol' POE. Slow & steady wins the race, right?

Hey there family, as some of you will probably notice, this is the second time a Post like this has been created.

Unfortunatly the other post had some problems with the download link automaticly removing the thread soon after it reached hot, so I reached out to a moderator who pointed out the problem that was getting my thread removed. As so, I have been granted permission to repost this.. Thanks to this particular mod for all the help he has given me.

Hello there fellow exiles.

I decided to make an Item Filter using classic Big Shaq sounds, just to make mapping just a little bit more entertaining (and funny).

If anybody is actually willing to try it, I would love to get some feedback, advice, criticism, everything!

I had a lot of fun making this, and have even more fun using it every single day.

This custom filter was made using the basis of NeverSink filter.

All that was changed was the sounds. Sizes, lettering, colours, etc, were all kept as the original! Credit goes to him for actually doing all the hard work.

EVERY IMPORTANT ITEM SOUND IN THE GAME HAS BEEN CHANGED, INCLUDING:

- CURRENCY;

- MAPS;

- DIVINATION CARDS;

- UNIQUES;

- VENDOR RECIPES;

- SYNTHESIS DROPS;

- SPECIAL, HIGH LEVEL AND HANDPICKED BASES;

- SHAPER AND ELDER ITEMS;

- ALL LEAGUE SPECIFIC ITEMS;

1 - Download the .zip file in the thread

2 - Go to My Documents/My Games/Path of Exile

3 - Extract every file inside the .zip to the previous folder

4 - Open the game

5 - Go to Options -> UI

6 - Scroll down to the bottom, and on "List of Item Filters", choose "BigShaqIF.ByJonSlow"

7 - Save and go mapping!

[Tool] PoEGuide UI update

Hello everyone, this is an update post for our site PoEGuide.

What's changed?

The old menu was stylish but hard to use so we've went for a more classic horizontal layout. Colors on a lot of the text has been changed to outlines and shadows with less contrast so it's not as intrusive.

What is PoEGuide?

PoEGuide is essentially a site compilation of useful info for league starting. It is aimed at new or inexperienced players but also has easy to follow guides that anyone can benefit from.

What can I find in it?

A number of starter leveling templates, that can be switched out of very easily and make for a good transition into your main build or even continuing with them through endgame.
Tips for mapping efficiently.
Pointers on crafting and mapping for profit.
Useful outside resources to keep in mind while playing. Some are third part add-ons, others are helpful websites.

Who are we?

This site is the work of me /u/vonnebula1106 and my classmate and friend /u/drufearr. We are in our senior year of high school and were given a free choice project so we decided on this site.

Where can I find it?

PoEGuide's official link is https://drufearr.github.io/. It is a non-profit site so you will find no ads anywhere on it.

Trickster chest

Quite happy with this chest for my storm burst (CI) Trickster. Essence craft strength on 2 fractured mod bases to get the implicits. Dense+sanctified+bound fossils to get the result, got it in 15 tries.
