    Heya, this is one of the most time-intensive, but important updates I've ever released. The filter is now generated using a new procedure/tool and this allows to create much, much more advanced tiering and other awesome things in the future! This update is full-packed with changes, improvements, balancing, retiering, finetuning etc. You can find the changelog below. I've also prepared a youtube video and 2 small writeup's explaining what has been done:

    • I've made a small youtube video discussing the changes and the logic behind them. I recommend listening to it. I forgot to remove a caption from it though, nevermind the tiltbrush thing.

    • www.filterblade.xyz is updated as usual of course. Tobnac will tell you about those in the comments. Most of the work here was on architecture here.

    CHANGELOG:

    The filter is now generated using a new tool, I've written that over the past monthes (FilterPolishZ). This tool allows me to do some new things and to do a lot of old things way faster. Shoutout to /u/tobnac for teaming up!

    • [IMPORTANT!] The new FilterPolishZ tool was used to retier: all Uniques, Divination Cards, Fossils, Shaper-bases, Elder-bases. The process and results are currently supervised and double-checked by me, relies on several data enrichment algorithms and special aspect tables. This process will be used in the future to auto-update the filter.

    • [IMPORTANT!] The filter now hides a large list of unique items on uber+ strict. If you're running this strictness. It's HIGHLY recommended to update your filter regulary (good idea anyway) and double-check on filterblade. Please note that this list has been designed based on the Softcore League Economy.

    • [IMPORTANT!] The list of T5/hideable divination cards has been vastly expanded

    • [IMPORTANT!] Designed a new and fairly complex section for synthesis highlighting. Note that this is far from perfect, but filter can't help that much here, since one can't say what and how many fractured mods an item possesses. The colors will be finetuned in the next update (next update is style-focused)

    • [IMPORTANT!] Augmentation Orbs have been moved up to the Transmutation/Blacksmith tiering

    • [IMPORTANT!] The Transmutation/Blacksmith/Augmentation tier is now hidden on very strict (instead of uber strict)

    • [IMPORTANT!] Portal Scrolls are now hidden on strict. This change is experimental. I'll reverse it, if the feedback will be very strict (pun intended)

    • [IMPORTANT!] T1 rares no longer contain any large items (2x3/2x4) and are more exclusive in general. Non-Jewellery-T1 rares now mostly focus on boots/small shields/gloves/helmets. All items removed from T1 have been moved to T2. Only one exception: Vaal Regalias

    • [IMPORTANT!] 5Link WEAPONS (non unique etc.) in the endgame no longer get any highlight on Strict and above.

    • Added a more sophisticated section and a special highlight for stacked (lower) currencies.

    • Normal Fractured Items no longer have a dropsound (they still have the icon). Only certain fractured bases of interest now have sounds

    • Small perandus coin stacks (<4) are now only hidden on Uber Strict and up.

    • Moonstone rings and Chain Belts are no longer treated as T2 jewellery bases.

    • Gold Rings and Gold Amulets are now T2 jewellery bases.

    • 5Links ARMOURS in the endgame no longer produce sounds on Very Strict and are disabled on Uber Strict

    • 29-30% quality natural drop items are no longer highlighter on very strict and no longer have priority over veiled and fractured drops.

    • 5L and 6S highlight fractured/veiled items are now highlighted correctly.

    • Non-Rare "Default" (non-shaper/elder/fractured...) crafting bases are now filtered in a more strict way.

    • Rare/Non-Rare Default Crafting bases have more ES focus

    • Architecture improvements

    Filter and Styleversions

    Strictness-es are filter configurations the affect how much/little a filter shows. The general rule is that: as you clear faster, you want to pick up less, because in the time you'd take care of a higher quantity of items, you can kill more monsters and get a higher chance at rare loot. You can start with Regular/Semi-Strict first (great for new players and leagues) and simply up the strictness from the option menu, once you feel like you want to see less.

    Nr Name Short Description
    0 Soft Shows too much. Includes low crafting bases, magic jewellery in the endgame. Not recommended for regular gameplay.
    1 Regular Shows a lot. Recommended for beginners, new leagues and slow-clearing gameplay. Shows all rares. Good for chaos recipes.
    2 Semi-Strict Healthy balance. Great for new leagues and beginners and medium-speed endgame gameplay. Hides the worst rares. Good for chaos recipes.
    3 Strict Hides bad-base rares and scrolls. Universal and recommended endgame strictness. Hides random gems (hold alt in the first zone if you level with it). Bad for chaos recipes.
    4 Very Strict Hides most rares, scrolls, augments, armourers. Good for the endgame and for speed-farming.
    5 Uber Strict Hides all low currencies and rares. Great for quantity-farmers.
    6 Uber+ Strict Shows too little. Sterile screen. Hides all kind of stuff, including mediocre divination cards, all kind of crafting material etc. Recommended for speed-clearing quantity-parties or as a base for further editing. Not recommended for regular gameplay.

    Styles have no effect on how strict the filter is, but change the visual and audio configuration. Find one that pleases your eye most or make your own on www.filterblade.xyz

    Style Description
    Default The normal style. It uses a wide variety of colors and shadings to inform users about the drop type, value and properties.
    Slick A less colorful version of the normal style.
    Gaia (full restyle) Gaia is a nature-inspired style. It uses less colors, but is still very cheerful.
    Vaal (full restyle) A brick, corruption, blood and gore styled filter.
    Velvet (full restyle) Soft green, blue, grey and pink hues, this filter is inspired by oceanic and royal colorsets.
    Blue Minor changes. Changes the color of rares to blue.
    Purple Minor changes. Changes the color of rares to purple.
    Azurite A new (experimental style) - it's like a DOUBLE purple/cyan style!
    CustomSounds Special style. The visuals are based of default, but the sounds are different and are provided in mp3 files. You have to copy the mp3 files too for the filter to work. You can also replace the sounds with your own mp3's to create your own soundset.

    Hi, everyone!

    The first Kammell Class Race is now complete! I'm posting here on behalf of Kammell to wrap up the event and provide a resource for those who may have missed the big day! However, I first want to extend a big thank you to all who participated and watched the race! There wouldn't have had a race without you! Thank you to all working behind the scenes as well!

    I think we can all say that this was a very, very exciting race! It was great to see some build diversity as well as a ladder that was equally as varied. Within the classes themselves there was some fierce competition which also created quite a bit of excitement! What did you guys think about this race format? Let us know!

    "Build diversity" and yet you can't sunder with sword (except Varunastra), you can't leap slam with claw...

    Currently for spells you can use any weapon and actually bows ++gems are bis for some spells

    I'm sure any dark / black armour set works just as well. The lighting effects are absolutely gorgeous and they pop from the dark background of crucible set.

    Does "The Mayor" Still Drop From Armourer's Strongbox?

    Last league, I had several (2 or 3) "The Mayor" cards drop from Armourer's Strongboxes in spite of activating very few such strongboxes until I learned of the drop chance.

    This league, I've activated every single Armourer's Strongbox - and have seen no "The Mayor" card drops in spite of activating perhaps 5 times as many such boxes in this league as compared to last.

    Has anyone seen "The Mayor" drop from an Armourer's Strongbox this league?

    Supposing that the card still drops from Armourer's Strongboxes - does the droprate seem extremely nerfed? I ask because it may be simply random bad luck on my part that makes it seem to me that either the card no longer drops from said strongbox or that the droprate has been nerfed.

    Connecting Twitch Prime to PoE Compromises Account?

    So I connected my Twitch Prime to PoE to gain the latest cosmetics. Within hours of connection, my Twitch account had unauthorized logins from Egypt, Thailand, and middle-of-nowhere Russia. Subsequently, I added two-factor authentification to Twitch, which resulted in a recovery request for my 2FA app from a +7 area code (Russia).

    Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is there a known exploit going on?

    Don’t roll molten strike on ps4

    I'm up to 11 balls and it causes me to nearly freeze up completely when playing in groups or facing multiple packs at once :( rip my build. Any suggestions on a decent fire build ? Gonna see if I can forget a few skills and respecc to something less laggy. (I'm a jugg)

    Need help with my Beltimber WinterOrb Trickster!

    Hi there! I'm running a 2x Beltimber + Frostferno + Shroud of the Lightless build on my trickster. Recently i respecced out of Acrobatics and Phase Acrobatics, but surprisingly my WinterOrb DPS on POB decreased sharply.

    Is the WinterOrb DPS on POB wonky? Unsure if i fiddled around with the config wrongly, still pretty new to POB to be honest.

    I do understand that i'll need to work on getting better jewels for the build, but i would really appreciate any help or suggestions to improve on the skill tree or any item suggestions!

    Edit: I noticed POB does not take into account the resistance when socketed with a Red Gem on Malachai's Artifice, as well as Arcane Surge on Hit with spells from Command of the Pit. Is there any way to add these in manually?
