What i learned from this sub in 1 year of poe Posted: 17 Jul 2019 06:35 AM PDT So basically i have been playing poe for almost an year now (somewhat casually), and have been mostly lurking around this sub for most of that time, while everything is smooth around here it is also the perfect place to understand that you really cant please everyone. Most of the things that i read people complaining about i cant really relate either because i do not have the experience or background knowledge to even understand the problem, but decided to make a small list of things that over the time got fully engraved in my poe knowledge even tho i never experienced some of them. - make map sustain harder -> It will ruin SSF - make map sustain easier -> It will lead to shaper/uber elder becoming trivial - make league mechanic with bad rewards -> people complain that it is a waste of time - make league mechanic with average rewards -> people complain there is no incentive to do it - make league mechanic with insane rewards -> people straight up ignore the rest of the game - make league mechanic with complex depth and hard bosses -> people complain the end game is too hard and not accessible to everyone - make league mechanic straight dumb and without a significant boss fight -> people complain there are no bosses and no depth - HeadHunter is broken and should be removed from the game - HeadHunter is fine and only those who dont have it , complain about it - There is people who compete to reach lvl x in the less amount of time (this seems to be really big tho) - While there are a lot of players, 2 kinds are predominant, those who subjects themselves to intense grinding sessions to farm insane amounts of currency to dominate the market and those who see currency purely as craft materials - Standard economy is garbage - Hardcore league economy is better than normal league - Flicker Strike is a meme and nobody actually plays it (and is either loved or hated) - Nobody cares about the 20 different nodes a timeless jewel generates - GGG servers are not in a very good shape- GGG servers information may have trouble finding a decent route to your home and that causes latency - nobody likes to be oneshoted mid map by a random overpowered league mechanic - league mechanics being hard is fine , since the rest of the game is easy Well this became a longer list than i expected, but oh well just wanted to share. Hope you all have a great day **TLDR : useless list of things i learned in the past year in this sub, dont bother reading unless you have a lot of time to kill [link] [comments]
The Road to Headunter (a Detailed Report) - DAY TWO [Video diary link included] Posted: 17 Jul 2019 11:30 AM PDT (Yesterday's post:) VIDEO DIARY (with small FAQ): DAY TWO: Today, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping - a lovely day to farm Alleyways. I had a bit more time on my hands than yesterday, and with a newfound lust for loot, I decided to farm 200 maps, doubling yesterday's total (not having to get up early for work tomorrow is a big plus as well). The stats from today alone are: MAPS RUN: 200 TOTAL TIME TAKEN: 3 hours, 36 minutes, 59 seconds AVERAGE TIME PER MAP: 1 minute, 5 seconds TOTAL PROFIT (DAY TWO): 2054.86 CHAOS PROFIT PER HOUR: 568.21 CHAOS NOTABLE DROPS: Exalted orb: 3 The Saint's Treasure: 6 Timeless Maraketh Splinters: 67 The Perandus Manor, Chateau Map: 1 (130c) Orb of Annulment: 4 Abaxoth (which was sold as challenge to 5 members for a total of 140c): 1 SUMMARY: We had a definite increase in profit and speed from day one to today, which I was quite happy with. Efficiency was up, and luck was up also. The total time of all maps also included waiting for people to join for Abaxoth for 8 minutes and 33 seconds, as well as selling a 6-link Edge of Madness Sword for 17c. All in all, I was quite happy with today. However... HEADHUNTER HAS RISEN OVER 2000 CHAOS. WE WENT NEGATIVE IN OUR GAIN TOWARDS OUR GOAL. ---- GRAND TOTAL MAPS RUN: 300 GRAND TOTAL PROFIT: 2952.36 CHAOS GRAND TOTAL PROFIT PER HOUR: 512.025 CHAOS (a net positive increase of 56.185 CHAOS) Chaos left until Headhunter Purchasable (according to Poe.Ninja as of 4:12am AEST, 18/07/19): 26802.94 CHAOS (increased from yesterday by 593.34 CHAOS) TL;DR: I increased speed. I increased Profit Per hour. Headhunter went up faster than I could farm. We are now further behind. Oh dear. [link] [comments]

GGG Bandits rewards needs rework! Posted: 17 Jul 2019 01:38 AM PDT It's either alira or 2 points. Oaks and Kraityns rewards feels bad. When the 3.0 went live it was bad but now with all the powercreep it's even worse. [link] [comments]

FYI Legion does NOT have the "highest 1st month retention" Posted: 16 Jul 2019 04:24 PM PDT Full credit to /u/Gaardean for crunching the numbers. The claim made by OP in this thread is wrong. The reference to the Steam Charts data was not entirely correct. I thought its important to bring this up as to not spread misinformation about the actual popularity of the league. Looking for people to play with on PC LSC or LHC Posted: 17 Jul 2019 06:08 AM PDT I've been playing for a long time, I end up getting bored after about a month but mainly just because I have no one to play the game with. I killed uber elder a while ago, and I've just been farming glacier and it's getting boring since there's no risk or reward really. I'm thinking about making the swap to Hardcore and staying there permanently. I started leveling an aura bot solo as a summoner aura bot. I'd be willing to stay on SC if there was a group there. I have a fully geared MF TS character that's level 89. I play and live in North America. I have discord and a MIC and I play at 6PM EST. Edit: If there's a reason someone downvoted this I'd happily fix it if there's an issue. I'm just trying to find friends to play the game with and it sucks that it gets buried. Edit2: Hey, a bunch of people upvoted this and I couldn't be more thankful, it looks like I have a handful of new people to play with. I made that first edit and was definitely being salty because I have made a few posts like this that get downvoted to 0 and I'd just delete them after a few hours with zero replies. I'm not trying to step on anyones toes, flood the sub, or anything - there just isn't a good reliable place to find strangers to play with (LFG reddit has 900 people, I made a post on the POE forums days ago with hundreds of views and zero replies). It stinks when you find a game you really enjoy, but have no one to play with (at least for me, I enjoy the social aspect of games) [link] [comments]

Can the crafting bench please get a "Invite to Craft" function idea/rant Posted: 16 Jul 2019 11:58 PM PDT After locking all the important recipes behind the rng veiled mods system the need for other people to help you craft has increased immensely. Which also means the need to trust a random stranger not to scam you has also increased. Rant (Skip if you don't want to read the rant) So basically I make an awesome base with the right prefix and suffix I want after thousands of alterations, six link it, the realise after the countless hours I have played I still haven't unlocked the last chunk of "hits can't be evaded" I find someone who has it, hand over the base and the crafting fee (which is another 3ex) only for them to leave, and add me to their ignore list and keep my item and the 3ex crafting fee. This absolutely destroys my joy for the game as the hours/money i spent rolling an item with alterations just to get the perfect combination, only to have some complete scumbag take MY hardwork and the 3ex to just rub salt in the wound, it sucks, it just absolutely sucks. Furthermore after being scammed all you can do is report it only to get this email back confirming they will do nothing until they get multiple reports on the same person: https://i.imgur.com/DUVJwc8.jpg How many times does a scammer have to scam before action is taken against them? You are right GGG it does seem futile to report scammers because here I am disheartened and you just told me no action will be taken against them... When people get scammed and then they see that scammers don't get punished, they either quit or become scammers themselves. Finally if you do get scammed be sure to message [support@grindinggear.com](mailto:support@grindinggear.com) to recieve this email back, but hey if your like the tenth person to email them about the same person you might get a prize... /endrant Suggestion: Now onto the idea my suggestion (which I am sure has been suggested multiple times) is for you to build a system which doesn't allow us to be scammed for having to trust someone. If i got scammed for not checking the item before buying it then fair enough that is my fault, but you do not have a system in place to allow others to craft for us without completely trusting them. Something along the lines of: (forgive the bad photoshop skills) Have it function like the trade window where we can see what craft they choose, a box where we can input the currency and the item and only when we both click "craft" does it craft. This could be further branched out into other things like corruption chamber/sacrifice chamber in temple of atzoatl, vorici, aisling and leo crafting benches in research safehouses. Anyway I hope you enjoy my suggestion/rant. [link] [comments]
Movement Skills should use pathfinding Posted: 17 Jul 2019 11:21 AM PDT Certain movement skills should definitely have some kind of pathfinding. Its infuriating to leap, or charge into rock that is 1mm from you which makes maps with narrow passages really annoying to play, especially when your build's mobility is mostly based on a movement skill [link] [comments]
