    The Road to Headhunter (A Detailed Report) - DAY ELEVEN

    DAY ELEVEN:

    Like a carrier pigeon returning from yonder castle bearing a scroll of bad news to the King, Badger returns to Reddit from a day off setting up his stream with bad news regarding the profitability of Glacier. The day brought much heartache and slow speeds, but as we are all here for data, this is what you must view. Take a look.

    GLACIER MAPS RUN: 100

    TOTAL TIME TAKEN: 1 hour, 44 minutes, 04 seconds

    AVERAGE PER MAP: 1 minute, 2 seconds

    Now lets pause here, and let me explain. As you can see, this is a pretty abysmal time per map compared to how I have been running Glaciers in the past. As I said, I finally managed to set up a stream and have it running semi ok, so I decided to stream these 100 maps. Through this, I found myself trying to converse and talk, distracting me fully from the task at hand, so take this into consideration when looking at the next stats! It could be much better, and will be once I get used to streaming (which I will be doing in the future).

    TOTAL PROFIT: 763.14 CHAOS

    PROFIT PER HOUR: 440 CHAOS

    Ok, interesting! Honestly for some reason I was miscalculating and was expecting a much lower profit per hour. Honestly this actually isn't too bad once we look at it here.

    PROFIT PER MAP: 7.63 CHAOS (looking much better than yesterday - 1.77 chaos to be exact!)

    SUMMARY:

    I actually thought at the end of today that the profit wasn't going to be as good as it was. I took much longer on average for the maps (both due to a little lag and I was also streaming for the first time!), but to see that the average chaos per map had risen from yesterday was a surprise. So for those watching the stream, don't fret, it was better than I was making it out to be!

    GRAND TOTAL STATS:

    GRAND TOTAL MAPS RUN: 1700

    GRAND TOTAL PROFIT: 14573.57 CHAOS

    GRAND TOTAL PROFIT PER MAP: 8.57 CHAOS (we lost 0.6 chaos from yesterdays average)

    GRAND TOTAL TIME SPENT: 28 HOURS, 37 MINUTES, 11 SECONDS (including selling and buying time)

    GRAND TOTAL PROFIT PER HOUR: 509.21 CHAOS (a net LOSS of 17.93 CHAOS from last time, once again quite a substantial loss and effect for only 100 maps to have. Not much faith in glacier here)

    GRAND TOTAL TIME PER MAP: 1 minute, 0.6 seconds (we are now 0.2 seconds slower than yesterdays average. Dang.)

    Chaos left until Headhunter Purchasable (according to Poe.Ninja as of 3:19am AEST, 28/07/19):

    9431.53 CHAOS

    The slow decline of Headhunter has started! No more rising in price I feel, today we are 496.94 chaos (hey, that's a numerical palindrome!) closer than we were yesterday. We are getting there!

    ESTIMATED MAPS REMAINING: ~ 1100 (50 less than yesterday)

    ESTIMATED TIME REMAINING: 18 hours, 31 minutes

    It feels like, aside for a few exceptions (especially +3 range), that affixes from essences have really fallen behind. Given the difficulty of obtaining top end essences, and the alternatives like fossil crafting, the essence mods really should be updated in order to keep up and stay relevant.

    Timeless Jewels: Information Gathering & Sales

    Hello again!

    I figured it's a good time to throw an update in regards to the Timeless Jewel discord, the "Historic Bazaar". I started the discord because I wanted a better way to keep track of jewels, as well as have a method to easily search through the seeds. I also wanted to involve the community and get your help. I have to say, the project has been a success so far. At least 30 jewels have sold (that I know of), a few have been woop'ed aggressively and more people join and check the information daily.

    We now even have a tool that allows data gathering, thanks to u/klayveR .The tool itself is amazing for Glorious Vanity jewels, spitting out information either per node or aggregated. Here is an example.

    It still takes 30 minutes to 1 hour per jewel however to check each jewel socket and document it all in a format that is easily readable by anyone. So again, to anyone that has been documenting, sharing and posting their jewel seeds, thank you!

    The discord is open to anyone that wants to join, either to browse the seeds, try to buy a jewel or sell one.

    I just wanted to give out a big thanks to someone that I came across today in the 411 Global Chat today. I asked if there were some easy challenged to complete since I have limited time to play due to being a father of a 1 year old.

    This person, aka Dystracted went out of their way to personally message me and answer any questions I had. Then on top of it comes to my H/O and gives me all of the maps needed to complete one of my challenges!

    This may seem like a small act of kindness to some, and may not be one of the hardest challenges out there, but anything that can save me any time at all goes such a long way since as you'd imagine time is limited working 60 hours a week and having a 1 year old as well.

    Just wanted to give a big thank you to Dystracted if you are on here, and all of the other amazing exiles that help those in need. I will be sure to pass on the favor if I ever can that's for sure.

    Now time to hopefully someday have some extra money to buy some cool cosmetics and become a true PoE'er :P what's a man gotta do to get some cool wings, but justify that to my wife... next challenge to accomplish I guess...

    Hello again, fellas.

    I cover Path of Exile often, and I've done these kinds of topics in the past. I'll be doing a preview down the road (I can't tell you any info), but, I'd like you guys to get involved if you want to.

    Post a few questions that you have about the game's current state, the upcoming plans, ExileCon and 4.0, and anything under the sun.

    Previous examples:

    I can't ask everything, so I'll base it off upvotes and engagement (ie. the more users are discussing a certain issue).

    PS: What's your suggested Duelist build for a longer Legion playthrough? I've been swamped this past month and I tried to follow this build early on, but I had to cover other games. I still need to cover Mutant Year Zero's new expansion, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, and then Destiny 2's event. After that, it's back to POE time.

    [LHC] Legitimately the only time I've ever wanted to quit the game...wouldn't even let me exit the game.

    Just doing a random 4 way to see what would drop.

    Game freezes and I see my character taking damage constantly. Couldn't exit the game even through alt-f4. Keyboard/mouse clicks weren't working. After I die I'm still trying to turn off the game and it turns out there was an error....didn't even pop up it was just minimized lol.

    What a terrible way to rip a level 96 hardcore character....

    Please fix your game it is so awful to die in this way.
