I cannot tell you how good it feels to be out of that land we were in for so long. My bones ache with memories of those freezing plains, but now, we never have to return. We can set our eyes and feet forwards - towards the land of the Spark and the Flame. The Atoll - a dark and desolate mountain path, filled with deception and destruction at every turn. Though the Glaciers had dampened my spirits, I knew the only way to reach any sort of semblance of this godly belt I've been chasing for so long was to make it through this winding, windy path. Make it up. Make it over. Dawn will not rise on this journey; it will rest until the final skull is tightened around my cloak-bearing hips. The heads of my enemies. The Heads I have Hunted for what seems an eternity. ------------ ATOLL MAPS RUN: 200 TOTAL TIME TAKEN: 3 hours, 33 minutes, 40 seconds AVERAGE PER MAP: 1 minute, 4 seconds TOTAL PROFIT: 2364.27 CHAOS PROFIT PER HOUR: 663.91 CHAOS (what the... Atoll? Are... You actually really profitable???) PROFIT PER MAP: 11.82 CHAOS NOTABLE DROPS: Exalted orb: 0 (and still such a good profit!) Stacked deck: 42 Divine orb: 2 Annulment orb: 3 Esh's Pure Breachstone: 1 Geofri's Sanctuary, 6L: 1 (586 CHAOS!) Maraketh Splinter: 107 Might of the Meek: 1 The Wind: 2 SUMMARY: OK. Now, let me explain EVERYTHING. Today we started farming Atoll maps! First of all, there are 4 Main Reasons we chose Atoll:
Now, there are many interesting things we discovered in this first 200 maps. First of all, either I was unlucky or both The Wind and The Spark and The Flame cards are very rare. I only saw 2 of the former, and none of the latter. We also saw no exalt drops. And yet, the profit is the HIGHEST it has been per map, HANDS DOWN, across the challenge, with respectably similar times per map, maybe a smidge slower. However, we must note that the Geofri's Sanctuary 6L drop buffed up the profit a lot. Even if we took the 6L Geofri's out of the equation, our stats would STILL be looking like: TOTAL PROFIT: 1778.27 CHAOS PROFIT PER HOUR: 499.36 CHAOS (pretty respectable honestly!) PROFIT PER MAP: 8.89 CHAOS ... Which for no exalt drops, we are still looking at an average amount of chaos per hour. I am astounded. We also started a new build! I won't say much on it but I will include both the pastebin, and the filter for the new map at the bottom of this post. Check it out. Also the video has a little build showcase in it! It's super fun. The last thing to mention is, Atoll is harder to sustain than Glaciers and Alleyways, as it is a T6 map. I found myself getting 60% to 70% returns on maps run (meaning 60 to 70 maps back per 100 run), however some lovely people on my stream today were kind enough to donate maps to the cause! So, this is something to keep in mind when considering running Atolls. You may have to fork out a slight bit more cash to purchase a few in bulk at times. However, to conclude the summary for today, I am very optimistic for Atoll. Very. GRAND TOTAL STATS: GRAND TOTAL MAPS RUN: 2200 GRAND TOTAL PROFIT: 19757.15 CHAOS GRAND TOTAL PROFIT PER MAP: 8.98 CHAOS GRAND TOTAL TIME SPENT: 37 HOURS, 23 MINUTES, 52 SECONDS (including selling and buying time) GRAND TOTAL PROFIT PER HOUR: 528.3 CHAOS GRAND TOTAL TIME PER MAP: 1 minute, 1.2 seconds (we are now 0.3 seconds slower than yesterdays average.) Chaos left until Headhunter Purchasable (according to Poe.Ninja as of 12:49am AEST, 31/07/19): 4737.85 CHAOS We are 1973.37 closer than we were yesterday! Atoll, you will bring us home. I know this. ESTIMATED MAPS REMAINING: ~ 528 (243 less than yesterday) ESTIMATED TIME REMAINING: 8 hours, 58 minutes, 34 seconds I can literally smell Chris' sweat dripping from his brow as he frantically tries to turn down my loot drops as fast as possible. Actual unpopular opinion? I like how trade is currently Posted: 30 Jul 2019 08:16 AM PDT I don't understand all the complaints. This game is genius. The "currency" has real value that you can use to craft. You can play 99% SSF while still having access to that one building enabling unique. It doesn't take me 20 minutes spamming people when I do trade because I pay a premium for a good roll and they are almost always ready to sell it at that higher price. Unless map progression is bugged like the beginning of synthesis I rarely feel the need to buy any, and buying in bulk you will get a response quickly. I don't feel the need to convert currency ever. If I get too much of one I use it. Honestly I feel like this is mostly a L2P issue. Either they waste their currency trying to 6 link something they dont need to first week of the league (you can kill UElder on a 4-5link), or they want to sell it all so they can buy something they don't need yet, etc. The game is about grinding. The biggest "criticism" I see is that people quit because they can't trade/buy through progression more quickly. But this game is about the journey and the grind. I feel like this stems from a lot of newer players thinking there is some magic end game they need to get to. If they add an AH they will decrease drops because we will have access to more player based trade items. Its in the trade manifesto if you don't believe me. Games with AH you end up playing the AH as much as the dang game which is what people seem to want here why? Go play one of the numerous AH simulators already out there and leave this game alone. Just realised I had a video of old beta Ledge, using a bunch of skills badly Posted: 30 Jul 2019 05:40 AM PDT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pXvli0_XFs Beta Ledge - Ruthless difficulty So this is Ruthless difficulty (second to last difficulty, just before Merciless), showcasing a few oldies, like old waypoint, HUD, Fireball (which looked much better imo) and some other spells, a slower pace (but that's certainely me having no idea what I'm doing), and also shows that any rare could be quite dangerous. Having a hard time against a very dangerous Kuduku as well. I don't think I was res capped but it was so long ago I don't remember. So why would it not be built upwards as if trying to get closer to the thing they worship instead of down and away?
