    I am adamant to try MI this league, and I need some tips on how to best specialize into and synergize with that ability. I like to go all out on one particular aspect with my builds, this time it's minion life. If there's a time to try to make it work, it's during the minion revamp league. I'm planning to play HC.

    There are zombies, skeletons, spectres, golems and SRS.

    I initially thought of zombies because of Mon'Tregul and other zombie life boosts, but constantly raising zombies would be infeasible, unless Aukuna's Will happen to make some synergies possible (looking at Corpse Pact).

    Skeletons are easily expendable and inherently aggressive, but doesn't have as much base life as other minions.

    Spectres apparently have the highest potential max life, but are dependant on high level corpses. I know you can make some Unearth shenanigans to boost said levels (spectrenate dead), but that playstyle reduces my survivability.

    Golems are apparently a candidate. I don't understand the life scaling for them on the wiki (they go from level 34 to 90), but stone golems are thicc.

    SRS will benefit more from Unnatural Strength, but Tavukai will be hard to obtain. If I can focus on SRS it seems like the best option AFAIK.

    I would also like to make use of the new Siegebreaker belt. Thoughts?

    WIP Necro Crit Incinerate - CWC - Volatile Dead

    I'm working on a crit caster Necromancer and would appreciate any thoughts on improving it.

    Notes on the PoB configuration:

    • Shock is active, but I applied a flask with 26% less damage to simulate a 10% shock (so I can use shock-related effects)

    • No Necro passives except for %minion damage, I simulate the buffed Mistress of Sacrifice on a jewel to make sure I cap block, and I force chill/shock

    • Slightly bad rares (with resists crammed in 2-3 slots), no flasks and no jewels

    • Missing 10-20% more damage from remaining Necro passives and Consecrated Ground crit chance

    • -37% res from Malachai's Artifice + Golem

    I'm planning to take Plaguebringer -> Corpse Pact -> Mistress of Sacrifice -> Essence Glutton.

    I've ticked the boxes on everything I know I can sustain 100% against Shaper (except maybe the CWDT Wave of Conviction). Expecting 5k life and 2.5k ES, at least 500k Incinerate DPS and I think at least 100k per VD ball. 75/42 block with Bone Offering (no Rumi).

    Was going to tri-brid? with Life/ES + MoM mana, but I get about the same if I go EB route and focus my gear.

    No unique is mandatory, but Duskdawn is crazy strong with my capped block, and Malachai's Artifice is equivalent to a level 20 Fire Penetration. Chase uniques: Bottled Faith and Devouring Diadem.

    Planning to add another CWDT setup with Desecrate and Zombies.

    The major issue with the build is iffy life sustain (Bone Offering's life on block is not enough vs bosses). I think a life leech Elder amulet is best long-term, with Doryani's Invitation and Berek's Grip as good substitutes until then.

    EDIT: Briefly considered switching out of EB (a bit of mana regen on rings should make Incinerate sustainable), but I'd lose Flesh and Stone for a few hundred more ES and the ability to split/leech HP and ES at once. Definitely worth getting a Diadem though.

    Help me understand the cons and pros of zombies vs skeletons

    I am trying to select one skill for clearing and one for bossing. Or maybe one for both. I know how to make a build that can work, I just can't choose on which minion to invest.

    As I see it:

    Skeletons

    • People state they have superior dps to zombies and that Vaal summons skeletons is a boss melter (is this true??)
    • I have to constantly re-summon them.
    • I am somewhat forced to use queen's escape for clear speed quality of life.
    • I have to build minion accuracy in my build because skeleton chance to hit is not particularly high (this might be not true if the old "skeletons can't miss" node is still around with the 3.8 tree).

    Zombies

    • NO need to constantly re-summon them (this is really huge in my eyes).
    • Slam attack never misses.
    • I can use monte gruls grasp for bossing and the extra cool factor of huge zombies.

    My main two concerns is mapping quality of life and boss dps.

    If I opted for a skeleton focused build, can a 4link zombie setup clear trash mobs? On the other hand, if I opt for a zombie setup, is there any reason to run skeletons on a 4link?

    Looking for a base DD akuma's will zombie skill tree.

    I suck at making tree from scratch so i was wondering if someone has a Detonate dead character from legion. My plan is to do a basic detonate dead build but with some akuma gloves and zombie so i can just spam DD without desecrate for boss (and clear if feel ok). So does anyone have played something similar in legion or in a recent league ? Thanks for your attention.

    Critiques on my attempted meme build for 3.8: Ranged Attack Totem Impale Champion?

    Heavily based on the Champion bow builds of 3.7, but with a totem spin for tower defense league. POB is showing 1.2 million dps (4 totems) before impale/arborix calculations, your totems will be sort of tanky and taunts enemies so that's most of your defense there.

    What do you guys think? A big assumption on Impale not getting nerfed to shit in 3.8 of course.

    Whispering Ice Mines. Cheap and (seemly) really strong. Feedback appreciated

    in a nutshell, the idea is to abuse the new tranquility node from oils and int stacking nature of Whispering Ice (which ends up giving 10% to 25% more damage depending on how it works), mines are a good way to overwrite the horrible cast speed of whispering ice. Also having a huge mana pool is very nice if the new mines are reserving flat amounts

    I tried to keep PoB simple: one curse with surge, one golem and auras. I did not want to 'assume' anything that is not already there, so i skipped new things like mine supports, skitterbolts and such (only using remote mine gem so PoB will add mine nodes to its calculations).

    Gear is also on the cheap side: i used a mana to es watchers eye which is a few exalts (still 9k ES without it), rest is mid tier ES items and very obtainable uniques, and no 6L is needed since whispering ice is a free 7L

    No Shaper armor for 12% int or base spell crit, yellows with 60 int, corrupted, multi modded or enchanted items etc which can be hard to obtain in the first few days (which also means there is a lot more room to upgrade. the 12% int roll alone adds 10% more dps and 400 total ES)

    Ofc this tree will need to be optimized for new skill gems, passive tree changes and other stuff, but for now 10k es and 200k+ ice storm* seems easy to reach. I will probably update pob as we learn more.

    Any feedback or questions are most welcome.

    *For ppl who are not familiar with icestorm/firestorm mechanics:

    the actual dps is very hard to pinpoint; 200k is the dmg of a single bolt, every cast drops 1 bolt every 0.1 secs and lasts 3.1 seconds creating a huge theoretical dps (in our example 2 million dps per icestorm). Mine throwing speed is 0.25, which means 12 storms can be active at the same time. However the hits are randomized inside the skill's area so some of them will hit and some of them will miss. Also the mobs are very likely to move away before you stack maximum number of icestorms on them.

    Luckily the new league mechanic features mobs following predefined path which will walk into your death traps :) This is why i think this kind of gameplay will shine for blight encounters.

    con: u are playing a very short range spell (due to mines) which has an inherent start up time. No matter what we do this build wont have a zoom zoom style clearspeed

    Tanky map clearer

    Basically title, I am looking for a build that is tanky, and can run maps quickly and effectively. This includes reflect maps, and no regen/leech maps. This will be league start too, so it can't be all that expensive. Any suggestions are extremely helpful, thanks!

    would I be able to pull this witch totem/minions hybrid build?

    '--' hey guys I have been thinking up cool a neat build for the upcoming league and I have a question for the witch and her new rework. my next character going to be a totem and minion hybrid witch. where the totem summons the minions and cast my offerings. here the gist of the set up the chest will be 6L Bloodbond with a totem support gem and the weapon will be soulwrest with aukuna's will and the devouring diadem. other pieces will be rare for res and heath

    since devouring diadem eat corpses every five seconds and aukuna's will make my zombie corpses and soulwrest make Phantasms each till I consume a corpse plus having totems casting offering. could this work even if the devouring diadem give me Eldritch Battery? also I will be focus on summon skeletons. I'm all ears if you have any ideas or questions
