I gotta do something with this otherwise I'd feel bad. Leaning towards assassin over flaskfinder. As far as skills I'm open to anything. I figured incinerate cwc firestorm could rack up poisons super fast. What do y'all think or suggest?

    Heavy Strike?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 03:50 PM PDT

Should I do it? There's literally a single person on poeninja playing it, but I really just feel like going full grug and smacking stuff to death. Is this a bad idea?

Lightning Spire Traps or Stormblast Mines?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 11:05 PM PDT

I have a raider build that has a lot of lightning damage scaling, but absolutely no mines/traps scaling, and a free 4l left I want to add some single target setup for.

For purely bossing, which would be better? Lightning Spire Traps or Stormblast Mines? And what supports to use?

First time playing a minion build. Looking for tips from people with more experience

    Posted: 26 Sep 2019 02:37 AM PDT

Here is my pob pastebin: https://pastebin.com/KihhVq51

I'm running a Dominating Blow build that uses Arakaali's Fang. It started as a Dancing Duo build but I'm getting better DPS and clear with Arakaali's.

For the most part I don't even get to summon my dominating blow minions other than the rares. Everything dies too fast for me to get a hit in with Dominating Blow. It's still a nice boost though from rare monster mods. Running with an inspired learning is nice synergy too. It's like having 2 mini headhunters.

I'm using a proxy shield spectre and a Kitava's Herald because of the phys damage focus and have read that it's just a good spectre in general. This is probably the part of the build I have the least experience with as I've never ran anything spectre related before. Was thinking of maybe getting some kind of curse spectre but I'm not sure about which one or how good their defenses are. I don't want to have to resummon them as unless I'm missing something it seems to be a pain in the ass.

Are there any obvious improvements I could do? Am I wasting valuable sockets on something that isn't helping all that much? Any other tips for this build?

This is one of the best builds I've played in PoE over the years, hopefully one of you can make it even better.

Bane Occultist 3.8 Stay or change?

    Posted: 26 Sep 2019 01:52 AM PDT

Hi! I have been playing Occultist for a while now and I LOVE the Bane skill.
Although it doesn't seem to have enough damage to kill bosses (In a timely manner)

So I was either thinking of creating a whole new Occultist. (I'd like to hear tips on some good occultist builds.)
OR to improve my current one with a new skill.

I don't like the whole ED + Con build so I'd like to stay away from that possibility.
Soulrend is also a skill i'd rather not use since the cast time takes a LONG time. (On occultist)

Is there any way to improve the boss killing capabilities by using a different skill with Bane?

And if so, what would I need to change in order to fully take advantage of this new skill
(Seeing I use bane my whole build is focussed towards more Chaos dmg + AOE)

BTW I only Play the HC league so skills that would drain my hp are not preferred :)

Elementalist Minion Build (Too many minions)

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 10:05 AM PDT

I'm currently playing an Elementalist minion build, but not the typical golemancer. I'm stacking increased effect of golem buff with Carrion Golem to give an army of minions a very large amount of flat phys. It's a lot of fun but I would definitely welcome some feedback. PoB here:

    https://pastebin.com/bWtsu10n

A quick overview, with the Elementalist golem nodes running 8 golems, the Golem Commander cluster, and 3 Primordial Eminence jewels I have 560% increased effect of golem buffs. If I put a level 21 Carrion golem gem into a +3 helm with level 3 Empower a level 26 Carrion Golem grants 40 to 60 phys to non-golem minions. I'm not 100% sure on the math but if it's just (% inc effect * min) to (% inc effect * max) that would mean all non-golem minions should be getting around 224 - 336 flat phys added to attacks. With all of the increased minion damage in the tree plus various supports it seems like there could be quite a bit to do with that.

For golems I'm using 1 Chaos, 1 Stone, and 6 Carrion (their more damage for non-golem minions near them seems pretty good). I'm running the Stone and Carrion gem in the +3 helm with empower as raising their gem level increases the base value of their buff which according to PoB seems best (1256.4 life per second). I have the Chaos golem in a Brinerot Mark as once Chaos gem is level 22 you don't see another bump in base buff until level 32 (not reasonable to hit on this build), but I think the extra 30% buff it gives will result in 1.5% additional damage reduction (not sure how that will be rounded).

To get 8 golems I'm dual wielding Clayshapers (+1 each), have 3 Primordial Eminence + Anima Stone (+2), Golem commander passive (+1) and two Elementalist nodes (+1 each), so with base 1 golem = 8 golems.

I wasn't sure what to do with the other 4 points of the Elementalist ascendancy, so I decided to try out focusing on Heralds, specifically Purity and Agony for more minions. With the reduced cost of reservation I can add quite a few supports without worrying too much about mana, and the huge flat phys looks like it will work well with them. I've been using Divine Ire + Poison support, and with the increased effect of heralds applying to agony's poison chance that gives 85% chance to poison. (I could use a Coralito's flask to up that to 100% if needed.) And in large packs Divine Ire hits a lot, I can generally keep the stacks over 30. As long as a rare or unique is in there the Purity Bros are always up too.

That's the core of the build. From here is where I become uncertain. My wife is playing a Pyroclast mine sabetour so I figured using the new Triad Grip gloves with all red sockets and dual cursing Flamability + Ele Weakness might synergize well. That's really the only reason I went with this, but the resistance penalty + fire conversion seems to be a decent way to scale the damage.

The rest of the build is just trying to jam in as many minions as I can. I'm running zombies with Elemental Army for the fire exposure, and with full conversion to fire the 29% more elemental damage isn't bad. PoB has their default attacks at 95,000 DPS, so with 8 zombies that's not bad.

I threw a raise spectre in my helm so the only thing buffing that is just straight gem levels, but with the new change of spectre monster level being determined by gem level that seems pretty good for some support spectres. Currently running Carnage and Host Chieftains for frenzy and power charges. I was running Tukohama's Vanguards for their scorching ray totem's fire debuff, but while putting this post together realized it is the same exposure debuff from elemental army, so I doubt they stack. I tried Ruin Helion ( https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Ruins+Hellion ) for a while. The damage buff is nice and the reduced damage from taunted enemies is really nice. But they did die quite a few times as they were the only thing taunting. I did only try them out while leveling, maybe I have enough minion life and defense nodes now that it won't be an issue. Not sure what I would run for a 4th spectre, as without any other supports even with all the flat phys from carrion golems they won't be the best sources of damage.

The gloves do limit me a bit as I need all sockets to be red. Right now That is where I put the herald of purity with Melee Phys and Ele damage with attacks supports. I could easily drop a 4th red support (probably added fire) but for now I'm trying an Animate Guardian. Currently stacking attack speed on its gear and using Victario's Flight for some move speed buff and Zahndethu's Cassock for consecrated ground. With a very cheap fast foil around 350 dps PoB shows him at 119,000 DPS, plus he's offering some regen and move speed.

I'm using Convocation and Flame dash for utility skills in the off hand weapon. In PoB the 3rd socket is clarity, but right now I don't think I need that. I'm playing around with swapping it out for a Vaal Summon Skeleton which seem to be working out. With a level 20 Divine Ire I can definitely run out of mana but I'm beginning to think the damage from it isn't worth it. With the elemental ascendancy and a powerful Herald of Purity it's damage isn't terrible for clearing, but I have an army of minions to do that. It seems like the damage mostly just gets me killed in reflect maps. I might switch to a level 1 / 20% quality divine Ire and then clarity definitely will not be needed.

Lastly as I was feeling a bit squishy I decided to try out The Queen's Hunger. The Spirit and Bone offerings on you do help out quite a bit, and the flesh offering is nice for its move speed boost and great for minion damage. Overall pretty happy with it. And since the Stone Golem is giving so much regen I grabbed an elder belt with increased life recovery rate.

As for some weirdness with the PoB, I had to do a few weird thing to get numbers to calculate correctly. I modified the Anima Stone to include the golem effect buff not calculated by the elementalist ascendancy, and the only way I could figure out how to get the effect of the new Triad Grip was to create a fake Clayshaper as a shield, add 100% of phy converted to fire, and pick up necro aegis on the tree. The actual build don't have that node or the 5 others leading to it (so it is a level 90 build, not 96).

Any suggestions on different things to try are welcome. For a long time I played around with cast while channeling + SRS or Skeletons on my divine ire instead of the dual curse, but I think the curses are better (especially in a party with pyroclast mines). Currently in yellow maps and it's performing quite well.

Badge of the Brotherhood oriented build - how do you you go around generating *both* power and frenzy charges?

    Posted: 26 Sep 2019 12:05 AM PDT

I like the idea of using the item, especially for something like flamedash.
However, it appears difficult to generate frenzy charges on-hit and most others seem to just use Icebite and oos/storm brand, but I was wondering if perhaps you could generate both types of charges more frequently.
    Thoughts?

Back again with improved BF ele golem/herald build any tips?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 08:29 PM PDT

Alright so with the help of some people before i was able to mess with the skill tree a bit, add some items and other little things but I was wondering if there is a way to still improve this BF build it originally was going to be a CwC build but its since been turned into what you will see in the POB. I am not really sure where to go with this build now. I know BF isnt the best skill in POE right now but I enjoy the animations for it which is kinda the reason I choose it.

I am thinking of possibly transitioning to a cold damage build and only using two heralds and 2 or 3 golems instead of all of them. With that in mind it could possibly be transitioned into a CoC or something idk just coming up with some ideas is all.

A second idea is to get away from the staff to go to a cospris and keep the original idea of cyclone with CoC BF. I would have to switch a few others items like the helm could be a tempest binding mask and keep herald of ash and ice. thus changing the build into an ice build while sticking with using two golems for some survivability.

I want it to be able to be enjoyable but I think I'm just missing something. if this is the max potential of the build then I wonder if there is a way to salvage what I have and turn it into something else. thanks in advance for any help!!

    'Ball is life' Build

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 10:59 AM PDT

How the build works: Farrul's Fur keeps us at full Power and Frenzy Charges, with Badge of the Brotherhood granting us Frenzy = Power. Crits will grant us Elusive which is increased by Badge as well. If Ball Lightning crits, each hit will crit, most likely granting Elusive. Discharge is there to dunk fat enemies and bosses (sometimes can 1 shot bosses). Herald of Ice is 4 Linked to help clear packs with area-shattering. We maintain dodge and spell dodge cap, while immune to extra damage from crits and extremely high MS. We have 11 Power Charges, 11 Frenzy charges, and cast Ball lightning a lot. Balls everywhere

This build is based off of my original build from last league, but I ran as my starter for this league and made some significant adjustments:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/cpyjf5/dance_with_death_assassin/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

    Major Adjustment 1

I dropped Dance with Death. It just gives too little for the investment required, loss of a helmet is just too big of a downside, and I struggled to get any sort of good eHP without a helmet.

    Adjustment 2

Badge of the Brotherhood gives us Frenzy charge max equal to our power charges. I have 11 Power charges, so this is essentially 44% more damage and castspeed on an amulet, not counting the Elusive buff effect. Easily BiS for this build.

    Adjustment 3

Farrul's Fur generates max charges for us, so I generally only Discharge when I think it will finish a boss off or if the stance is about to change so I just refill charges anyways. This changes the way the build is played slightly.

Anointed passive stats allows us to allocate Overcharge for +1 power charges without needing to path over there, saving a few points.

The new buff 'Elusive' also over caps our dodge and spell dodge by a good margin, I only need to refresh Elusive every 8 seconds or so to make sure it's capped on dodge chance. This also gives us something like 100% movespeed, which is crazy.

The new node Grave Intentions combined with Mask of the Stitched Demon also allows us to run an Animate Guardian with a Kingmaker without fearing for him to die. (Just ran Shaper this morning and he facetanked everything) The AG has been able to survive everything I have run so far, but I haven't run Uber Elder yet so we will see. Kingmaker gives us every single thing we need, crit multi, cull, fortify, and rarity. The buff is absolutely amazing.

Overall this build is MASSIVELY buffed from last league, super fast, solid damage and solid tank stats as well. The build definitely went from a 6/10 to a 9/10.

PoB: https://pastebin.com/tKBUAAkG (PoB doesn't account for Elusive or Badge of the Brotherhood, or Animate Guardian)

Been looking for a build that can do all content, to me it seems like Scourge Arrow would work great in clearing and boss killing.(but I'm not a pro)

I have been looking at poe ninja builds and it seems like cold SA is the way to go.

I wanna go Assassin, because of the changes, it seems to give a lot of damage but I'm not sure if Raider is a better option overall since I see quite a few of them on poe ninja..

I was somewhat following A guide, that recomended abysal jewels to scale the

"Gain 100% of Weapon Physical Damage as Extra Damage of each Element" mod.

I just cant see, that my main hand dps increases, when adding physichal damage. Only the physichal part increases. Is PoB needed for This calculation? Or is it only the base phys on weapon that Works with the mod?

If it Works: How Else do i scale it? Chance to bleed, Herald of purity and abyssal jewels?

    Improving Summoner (Specter & Zombie)

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 08:19 AM PDT

I am trying to level up my build to go with soul tether belt, currently going to need Alberons's for now so res might not be 100% capped but trying to with rings and Necro buff until I can afford to drop the boots. Need a few more jewels to hit the 1k strength point. Currently just feels a bit underwhelming, need to get better ring with life/str/res and open for aspect of spider craft. Then slam my other ring and hope for something good.

Below is my link, character is MCBangGanger

    https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/morinr/characters

Currently trying to get indomitable army next for some more dps. My minions are decent for dps, however starting to fail blight encounters at t12+ which is frustrating. Not sure what the next upgrades are besides jewels to get the 1k bench mark. Might actually swap my anointment on amulet for Death Attunment that might be the best dps increase for now.

    Any help is appreciated!
