Does anyone keep thinking about poe the whole day but when you get home and play, it got boring after 1 or 2 maps ?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 10:58 AM PDT

Like I can't wait to play poe when i'm in class. I messed around with pob even during my lunch break. I want to go home immediately just to blow up packs with my IB. Then I get home, run 1 or 2 maps, sort my stuffs and suddenly it got so boring. It's like the thinking what I could do with my build is more exciting than the grind to get there. What do you guys do to keep playing for a long time ?

Why GGG should calm down. A 40/40 review

Why GGG should calm down. A 40/40 review

    Disclaimer:

Down below you will find my personal opinion on the current "Blight League".

    Who's me?

Back to back carpal tunnel-champion since 2013.

Cringelord with around 5k hours, starting a league taking days off, sitting at home in GGG merch with 2 weeks no sunlight.

    Yesterday i made dis

    https://i.redd.it/59l3w7gyrpo31.png

    with EGG beeing this:

    https://i.redd.it/hwsp2lp5spo31.png

And this is my personal opinion on the Blight-League:

    Don't you like Tower defense?

    Well, that's bad.

Skip Blight encounters, enjoy your Necro in close to every imaginable endgame content.

    Do you like Tower defense?

    Well, that's bad also.

As many people mentioned, the Blight mechanic does not work as intended.

You start building and upgrading some towers. If you're unfortunate, portal(s) will spawn close to your pump, ****ing things up.

If that doesn't happen, you'll be most likely running around, misclicking upgrade icons, not having any towers to upgrade at all or simply don't care because your OP-Build can manage all of the content, without the need to build any towers whatsoever...

with the final boss of your anger-management challenge being some buggy weird monsters that are invul or simply leaving their lane whenever they feel like it.

Did I enjoy the mechanic then?

After the recent patch and rerolling to Necro, absolutely. It's easy loot, much like legion. Huge explosions in all colours and then also, some rare engaging encounters where I feel some sort of satisfaction connected to it.

I love that you guys made a league mechanic intended to slow things down, rather then speed them up even more. Even if I really enjoy the MinMaxing-ZoomZoom-Currency-Efficiency kinda playstyle.

What I would love to tell GGG:

    Calm. the heck. down.

There is no angry lynchmob to torch-hunt you down, if you release a leaguemechanic that's actually working, but not breach or breach-like or a copy of other addictive game-ideas. Because to be honest, that's what it felt like.

    It hurts to say but...:

It felt like a bad copy of a bad copy. It reminds me a teenager daydreaming on cocain.

As if someone in the office had a brilliant idea but no time and no resources and worst of all, not even enough will to get it done properly.

If someone wants to play TD after all, he will most likely NOT choose PoE (even if it was working.)

Get back to your roots. Get your own ideas done like you always did. Finally forget about the Synthegate.

Your ideas have been and still are, good. Your way to communicate and interact with your playerbase is absolutely amazing.

You guys are breathtaking. Just please... take it slow, and release polished leagues instead of some sort of "Players and Devs are working together on a skeleton of an idea - have some loot meanwhile."

And please concentrate on a smooth gameplay. The current state is horrible, especially in teamplay.

What I would love to ask and tell my fellow gamers:

What is the right "pace" for Path of Exile?

Here are some things i heard during the last weeks that I want to comment on:

"My build is good, I know what I am doing, my gear is absolutely OP, why can't I simply press a skip button in the blight encounter and kill em' all at once?"

"If you run Tier XYZ to XYZ, its not worth it to do the blight encounter due to the lack of efficiency."

"God, I hate that this game offers nothing but one-shots out of nowhere"

"I love the current pace, it fits my playstyle, I'm not into efficient currency farming"

Everything most of us did every league, was to highlight Loot-Efficiency, Meta-Builds and exploiting the heck out of certain league mechanics.

Now this is where we are and what we face. 50% of the playerbase plays around the same sort of build, the only way to stop most of the people are one-shot-outta-nowhere mechanics, HC-Community gets smaller every League, 90% of the bosses are simply worthless, playing meta and/or fast builds in a group is unplayable for most of us and we are losing really enjoyable builds due to the lack of viability (for me e.g. RF)

It's not a problem that some of us like it that way while others don't. The problem is, that the content was developing into fast pace continuously, leaving everything else behind.

We should encourage GGG to take it slow, rather then to speed up things even more. Because this will only lead to even more of the above mentioned.

General thoughts about the current gamestate:

Some at GGG may have reached a Steve Jobs-like messiah status which makes it dangerous. It is clearly visible, that they try to follow a certain white-knight path with the game, like it's their baby. With a heavy focus on the community and to not lose a single player. While most of the time this is a really good thing, I personally think, that you should differ between people screaming for more ingame rewards or unfair build-enabling items and people complaining about unplayable content, bad performance and certain bugs.

Please take care with your micro transactions. I personally don't mind higher prices for anything (if I can afford it, I'll buy it, if I cant, I dont). But stop those scammy and greedy tactics to avoid "Due to intensely negative community reaction, this box has been removed from sale"-Salvage Box. Also please don't let the meta shift to certain high-prices skill mtx. It seems like you do for the last leagues, don't. This leads in the wrong direction.

    I love metashifts.

    Make RF viable again.

    Release more Hideouts.

Give us a bot-merchant for our hideouts.

Enable more stashes in our hideouts.

Next league Bladevortex-ES meta again pls.

Stop killing every enjoyable meta skill after 3 months of a league.

If someone has read this until this point, thank you very much, have a nice day.

    EDIT:

thank you for your kind response. Because this point needs further clarification:

This posting is not to flex with 40/40. It is about the time I invested into the league to finally and fully develop an opinion. Nothing else.

GGG PLZ Fix the bug from Korean internet cafe buff

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 12:15 AM PDT

So actually, in korea we gain a buff which gives mistery box or whatever every 6 hours (this way company gain profit bc it's calculated by time)

AND THIS IS A BUFF Which means, in temporal chains, it slows down... We literally pay for that time, and it slows down bc of the game. Even in a shaper zone, it slows down bc of the debuff.

Isn't it right to be count the time, not affected by any other things? Can GGG even fix this bug, or do something about it?

    Video

For those who speak portuguese just go ahead and enjoy the worst of the cringe Globo can provide us.For everyone else here's a summary of the conversation:

The guy on the novela* is telling his coworker about the new game he just made, a game about refugees escaping their homelands. He kindly named his game "Orphans of the Earth".

I hope u guys found it as funny as i did even tho is more like a inside joke for us brazilians(and maybe portuguese).

*novelas are a tv series/soap opera with rly bad acting

EDIT: As u/DEvil2791 has pointed out apparently globo.com is blocking connections from abroad, if u want to watch the video u should try a proxy with a brazilian IP.

Path Of Building Suggestion - allow us to set the shock value... also thanks for all the hard work OpenARL

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 06:15 AM PDT

We have many varying skills/items that apply shock at different values and that gain buffs when an enemy is shocked. It would be nice to be able to set it to skitterbot shock value, or focussed shock value, etc. This would be nice for the saboteur's explosives expert node, necromancer's corpse pact, or arcing blows. I am sure there are more items/nodes that I didn't list. Hopefully we can get an update.

Thanks to OpenARL for his continued work and support of Path of Building!

Was a Blight boss encounter planned but not implemented?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 12:07 PM PDT

When defeating a blighted map for the first time Cassia unlocks a new interaction, Blighted Maps. She talks about something that sounds a lot like a boss encounter. But afaik there was never anything said about content beyond blighted maps. Or am I missing something here entirely?

    The State of Incursion

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 07:45 AM PDT

    hello all,

I would like to preface this with I do love Temples, my first 100 was in Incursion league. But, I also feel like compared to other Masters, it feels a little lackluster in terms of rewards. It's decent xp if you happen to get it in a high tier, and made much easier with the Master Mission rework, but still feels unrewarding such as Delve.

In my personal opinion, every room that has a Temple modifier, such give subsequent quantity/rarity/pack size, such as how Map Modifiers work. For example, if I get a Shrine of Empowerment as a t1 or t2 room, I am giving the monsters onslaught (basically) modifiers with zero benefit to myself if I do not hit the t3 Unity room. This just feels bad in way, the room is doing nothing but making the Temple harder via modifiers and I am not getting any increased Quantity/Pack Size in return.

What i'd like to see is every room give some sort of downside (via modifiers) with a "reward" (via IIQ/Pack Size/IIR for ex.). Right now, I feel if I don't hit the T3 room, it's only making the Temple harder, for no rewards. I feel it's this way because the Temple might have been designed to be "boss-centric", as in the Flame/Lightning/Hatchery rooms only empower the boss, and gives such loot.

I don't believe the boss-buffing philosophy works in this landscape we're in now. I'd like to see the whole Temple being modified and we'd get such rewards like IIQ etc. For example, the Flame Workshop giving all monsters "Monsters deal x% extra Fire damage" while giving IIQ and such. It just feels bad to not hit the T3 Corruption Chamber/ Sanctum of Unity, to only have -max res/Monsters having Onslaught while there is zero benefit to the player cause we did not get the T3 room.

I just feel like the whole Temple could be more rewarding overall, and not have it focused on hoping to hit T3 rooms and the IIQ/Pack Size linked to one room (barracks/workshop) and while making the whole Temple harder, subsequently should bring more rewards.

Sorry if it's a long-winded post, it was hard to get out all these ideas while playing these last few leagues and my feelings of Alva as a Master. Let me know what you think!

    Thanks,

    mzery

Uruguay banned from buying in GGG - No post about it or information from GGG

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 05:29 PM PDT

Since the change to Xsolla, I was able to brought things in the past (like exilecon ticket, and points).

Reciently, I wasn't able to do so, it said "Your current coin is not accepted", so talking to XSolla support, they said to me that I'm not able to buy anything else in my country, no post about it from GGG, no post about it from Xsolla, and they keep losing money.

Dear GGG: Do you even care? Two exilecon tickets, 292NZ each, plus points, etc. even doing it with an international mastercard, whats the deal? Losing money?

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Or is it only Uruguay the lucky ones?

Do other masters deserve a real shop like Zana's?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 01:58 AM PDT

Just like the old masters had a shop, I would love to see a shop that resets like Zana's. There are lots of possibilities too, for example Niko could sell delve restricted items(its not like we have a ton of them anyway), Alva could sell temple modded items etc

I thought it was weird that Zana is the only master with a feature like this, which is also proven to be a huge help in getting maps early and even more so in ssf. Thoughts?

Do a cleanup league, double random events and nothing else. Spend development time on cleanup.

    Posted: 25 Sep 2019 01:30 PM PDT

If they did a literal no effort league and spent all time on cleanup, bugs, and performance, we would still get a league where stuff is constantly happening, but poe overall would be improved.
