PSA: The patch note talking about Zealotry was edited -- only the Consecrated ground has been disabled for minions.

    Posted: 21 Sep 2019 10:50 AM PDT

The spell damage from Zealotry still works as does the crit chance (which, the crit chance is largely irrelevant). So Zealotry is still a fine aura to run.

The Dragoon Sword should give a damage over time multiplier for bleeding implict instead of bleed chance.

    Posted: 21 Sep 2019 12:42 PM PDT

For the most part if you're going for a bleed build you're not going to need bleed chance as there is a ton on the tree. Giving some bleed damage multi would be much more attractive to use/craft on.

Unless they come out with some time of herald of agony type of skill for bleed then yeah the Dragoon sword could see some use.

My Path to a Mirror in blight and general thoughts on blight.

    Posted: 21 Sep 2019 02:04 AM PDT

I usually play a league with the goal to see the new content, beat up the final bosses and reach 24/36 challenges (I went for 40/40 twice, but I usually find it too tedious).

This league I wanted to purchase a Mirror of Kalandra and managed to buy one yesterday. I've done it by simply farming endgame content, no shaped atlas, no flipping, no secret strats and no insane time investment either.

I've received multiple questions about how I did it. So here's a summary (I might make a short vid as well):

    • Play a semi-affordable build (Baron Summoner in my case) that can take on high end bosses. Be smart about investments, focus on your gear in the first 5-6 days. Have a good "multi-stage-upgrade-plan". Know what stage you're in, know what items you need for the next stage. Bulk buy jewellery/rares and uniques, once you switch from stage to stage. Don't try to only change 1 item. That'll only lead to you having resist problems.

    • I think I bought my last upgrade 8 or 9 days ago. Stick to the build, once it's optimized.

    • Play a lot during the first days, play consistently afterwards (I took 2 days off for the start, otherwise was working full time, still met friends and took care of projects and 4 filter updates in the past 2 weeks).

    • Fill out your atlas ASAP. Invest your chaos early on to buy and trade maps early ( poemap live is your friend ). I played in the party during the first 2.5 days, while we were working on our atlas, afterwards only solo.

    • Be smart about your master missions. Use Zana's in T5/T10/T15-16 maps only. Only use Nico in high quant maps. Einhar can be safely spammed. Focusing on Jun early is super profitable. I skipped Alva completely - then again, it might've been a mistake.

    • Be clear about what you're selling and what you're keeping, buying, crafting and using. I bought vaal orbs, chisels and red sextants multiple times. Kept all fragments, all scarabs. I only sold maps at an inflated price, so usually only bulk buyers were interested. Don't go out of your way and start selling single scarabs or fragments, you'll be sorting through huge amounts of loot. Buy in bulk, overpay a bit to save time.

    • I pretty much only ran T15-16 maps later on. I usually ran T15s (with 5x sextants) until elder spawned (if you run T15s/16s, he'll spawn next to the middle), then ran T16s for uber elder (5x sextants on one of the guardians). Delve and safehouses in between.

    • I remembered that one can run the timeless conflict for 1 extra map slot only during the past days. Should've done that earlier.

    • Shaper, Guardians, Uber Elder and Katarina are all very very profitable early on and uber elder remains very profitable later (his uniques are expensive with good rolls, chance to find good rares, chance for watcher's eye, easy to access, don't see him as a BIG BOSS - BIG LOOT, he is farmable content, that you can run every 10-15 maps, takes 2-5 minutes to run and CAN be very profitable)

    • This league is not about speed. I used tons of scarabs, fragments, sextants, chisels, prophecies, zana mods and masters. Being smart here is really important. There's a lot to gain, by using the right mods with the right sextants and masters. Having maps, LOADED with content that drops lots of stuff fits right into the slow pace of blight. T15/T16 blights are often quite large and pretty profitable. Sustain is absolutely not a problem, with that approach (and a few delves in between). Relevant stashes: https://imgur.com/a/FzEoefS

    • Example considerations: Save harbinger scarabs for the harbinger sextant, torment scarabs (or buy some!) for the scarab-drop-by-possessed monsters sextant, run einhars in T13s+ to have a chance for all expensive beasts, only use legion and breach scarabs in good layouts etc.

    • Precraft maps in bulk to run quickly, learn which guardian is in which corner to be faster.

    • I had a few big drops, but I also played a lot. I found 1 doctor card, an eternity shroud, an avian chest (had 3 avian beasts) and a void battery to name the largest drops. I'd say 60-75% of my currency was gained with 5c-1ex sales though.

    • Farming shaper early, was pretty profitable, despite being rather unlucky. I got 4 flasks and 20 pairs of gloves and boots. However: gloves and shaper bases sell very well.

    • I found 3-7 ex myself. Didn't count. One golden oil, one silver oil.

    • Have a good eye for rares and understand the meta. Likely 50% of my ex were done by selling rare jewellery, high basetypes and sometimes other rares.

    • Instead of trading, I used my fossils and essences to craft rings, belts and convoking wands and sold many of them.

    • Don't waste time in your hideout, have an optimized stash setup and at least 2 quad stash tabs to dump loot.

    • Keep your filter optimized/up-to-date. I use www.filterblade.xyz myself. Use trade macro.

    • The only time I flipped, is when I bought a headhunter (at 69ex price) and sold it at 75ex, because I saw the price was spiking.

    Thoughts on blight:

    • I actually like blight - a lot. I think GGG did a great job here. I disliked some of it's... aspects, such as random deaths, horrible performance.

    • I like how blight is way more rewarding in high maps, but a bit boring before that

    • The first 5 seconds and the last 5 seconds of a blight encounter is a bit boring. I think the blight encounter should just end, if 90% of all monsters are dead, to save time.

    • The pace of blight is overall quite alright. It's also pretty rewarding overall.

    • Oils could be a bit more useful.

    • Blighted maps are very fun. They should be more weighted towards higher tiers though.

    • The game can use more big bossfights, now that uber elder is becoming less and less of a big deal

    • The master rework is awesome

    • I hate how many of my deaths were random one shots or volatiles, that I couldn't see due to all the FPS problems.

Sextant guide: How to roll them in combination with others, which maps, prophecies, scarabs to use with different kinds of sextant modifiers and a sextant tier list.

    Posted: 21 Sep 2019 12:10 PM PDT

    Hey all,

I made a spreadsheet with a sort of tier list of different sextant modifiers, and how to take advantage of specific sextant mods using various mechanics. Although most of the info is present on reddit, youtube, poe forums etc, it is all in bits and pieces(at least in my search and was learning about those) and I want to consolidate all that info into one place so that players will have easy access to sextant mechanics and utilize them more.

Here is a link to the spreadsheet

I am still working on how to place sextants in different tiers. Feedback is welcome. Either comment here or on the spreadsheet and I will make changes that are necessary. Please also mention any specific mechanics/interactions I obviously might have missed here.

I will keep this updated as they add new sextant modifiers or remove old ones when new leagues come by as best as I can.

    Cheers!

PSA: Items that increase the Mana Cost of Skills don't change the Mana Reservation of Mines

    Posted: 21 Sep 2019 04:30 AM PDT

Examples include Voidbringer (which I tested with) and Doedre's Malevolence gloves and Apep's Rage wand. Mines were changed to reservations only this patch and most of these items are somewhat old. Hence I'm putting this out there in case some people haven't yet realized that you can use those things with no downside now.

    Thank you GGG for Blight.

    Posted: 21 Sep 2019 10:46 AM PDT

There has been a lot of negative feedback about blight, its issues, the performance debacle, and many other things. I just want to say thank you GGG for this league.

It has been quite refreshing for me because it's simple, relaxed, and overall just nice to play.

Other leagues have been overly complicated, or cater to super builds or speed meta clears, and people who want every single mechanic to be super rewarding. Blight I think is the good happy medium.

I can just map in a super chill mood, no worries about clearing super fast, do the blight content without worrying about much and just be totally relaxed and still get decent rewards for the effort involved.

Also thank you for the summoner rework, it's amazing! I've played a summoner nearly every single league at some point since domination. This is the love it's needed for a very long time! And specially with blight it makes it even more relaxing and fun for me!

Keep up the good work GGG and good luck with the performance issues I know you're working on. If there's one company and team I have faith in, that listens and interacts with its player base, it's you guys.

    Stay sane exiles.

Alva has left my hideout for 4 days now and I can't get her back.

    Posted: 21 Sep 2019 10:10 AM PDT

I've scoured the forums for suggestions from players and GGG but nothing I have tried has worked. She is in my decorations but I can't put her back in my hideout. I can't invite her to my hideout from Oriath or anywhere else and this is honestly just stupid at this point. Does anyone know how to fix this?
