| Posted: 19 Nov 2019 12:03 PM PST Hello everyone, I would like to start off by saying that I've spent around 1000$ and 5k hours on Path of Exile and I really appreciate and love this game. I wish I could continue to spend more money and support the developers by getting some more dope MTX but I can't really do that because of these reasons that I'm going to list. This might a bit of a long post but I would really appreciate it if you could bare with me and maybe help me out so that someone on the GGG team can also see this. I am living in Turkey and as of right now our currency which is Turkish Lira (TL) is 1/6 of a dollar. The economic state of the country has been going downhill for the last couple of years and it is making it harder and harder for me to buy anything because in order to buy something so simple as a weapon effect i'd have to spend half my allowance. I'm definetely not saying that the conversion ratio for Turkish players should be 1:1 (60$ pack for 60TL) because that would probably be harmful for the company. However, I've played other games like Warframe and Fortnite and those game have catered prices for Turkish players. For example in Fortnite the 10$ VBucks option costs 30 TL for us which is a 1/3 ratio. I was hoping that GGG could have catered prices like that aswell. I would be much more motivated to spend my money and actually buy stuff if it didn't seem so absurd. I honestly believe that this might even be benefficial for them because I used to love buying supporter packs and I really didn't mind spending all of my money because it felt like it was worth it and I got alot in return. Nowadays, since the ratio is so absurd that I don't even consider buying anything anymore because it just isn't reasonable. Of course I am no expert in marketing or whatever so this is something that they will have to think about, I'm just hoping to get someone on the team to think about this. Thank you. | Results of 250 T13-14 Blight Maps Posted: 19 Nov 2019 01:05 PM PST I decided to run 250 T13-14 Blight maps cause I was getting bored of the league. Took a build that I could AFK in and watch shows while I do those, but I ended up not being able to completly afk casue I would get killed sometimes. Investment : I bought those 250 maps from the same dude, selling them at 80-85 chaos a few weeks back, more expansive cause he was selling 250 of them to me. I just used Alchemy Orbs on my maps, no chisels and used 3x Teal Oils on every single one of them. I did not need to buy Teal Oils, I would sustain them pretty easily. Cost of Maps : 119 exalts Alchemy Orbs : 260 ~ Here is how much I got in chaos/exalts from most things I looted. I price cheked them real quick cause I was so done towards the end. I will post a total towards the end. Ill do the conversion at 185c/exalt. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Essences Total in Exalts : 8.95 Exalts Total in Chaos : 1657 Chaos Notable Drops : 10 Essences of Horror ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Fossils Total in Exalts : 11.66 Exalts Total in Chaos : 2157 Chaos Notable Drops : The big money there was 100 Pristine Fossils ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Fragments Total in Exalts : 17.86 Exalts Total in Chaos : 3305 Chaos Notable Drops : Big money here is mainly the Sac Frags, with how many I got of each, they should sell pretty well. I included the breachstones and legion stones / shards in this as well. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Scarabs Total in Exalts : 17.54 Exalts Total in Chaos : 3246 Chaos Notable Drops : Big mnoey here were all the sulphite / harbinger / bestiary / legion scarabs. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Unique Maps Total in Exalts : 7.77 Exalts Total in CHaos : 1438 Chaos Notable Drops : 9 Beachhead maps is where the money came from, with a mix of the poorjoys , moa kun and cowards trials. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Normal Maps Total in Exalts : 3.7 Total in Chaos : 685 Notable Drops : 41 T15, t11-13 might be hard to sell .... actually, most of them will be hard to sell but, think i had to included those. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Currency Total in Exalts : 58.70 Exalts Total in Chaos : 7346 Chaos ( without the pure exalts ) Notable Drops : 19 Pure exalts, the rest is my other currencies that I looked up the ratios on Poeninja _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Oils Total in Exalts : 54.51 Exalts Total in Chaos : 10 085 Chaos Notable Drops : 28 Silver Oils, 14 Golden Oils I was not sure if i should include the Clear oils for the price they were on Poeninja, they probably would never sell. I ended up cutting them in half ( clear oils, amber and Sepia ). _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Unique Items Total in Exalts : 6.62 Exalts Total in Chaos : 1225 Chaos Notable Drops : The Stampede ( Blight Boots ) x6 and Blight Helm x1. Also found a couple of 6 links, best one was Bronn's Lithe that can probably sell for more than a divine. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Prophecies Total in Exalts : 3.13 Exalts Total in Chaos : 580 Notable Drops : So here, I missed out on some money potentially , I did not do research so I passed on some decent prophecies like Possessed Foe. I did not count the prophecies that drop the council frags, I included those in the frag section. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Gems Total in Exalts : 29.37 Exalts Total in Chaos : 5435 Exalts Notable Drops : 21/23 Raise Spectre, 2x 21/23 Herald of Agony, 21/23 Cyclone, 21/23 Increased Critical Damage ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Other Stuff Total in Exalts : 12.85 Exalts Total in Chaos : 2377 Chaos Notable Drops : Those are currencies that I got from divination cards and also decent rare items that I found. I found a gg molten strike jewel, sadly, Molte nStirke is not meta atm. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Stacked Decks Total in Exalts : 36.05 Exalts Total in Chaos : 6675 Chaos Note : Thats at a rate of 5c per, figured they would sell pretty well at 5c, could probably try to put them at 6c per. I ended up having 1335 stacked decks total. Note 2 : I opened all of them since we are at the end of the league and I did not really care, I ended up getting 12.11 Exalts back vs 36.05. My only worthy drop was 1 Doctor card, so yes, don't do them, just sell them all. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ So yah, I will never do that again because it takes forever, around 10-12 minutes per map, with all the looting and stuff. And also because it would take a while to sell all this stuff. Note that, I did not price any of the gear beside the Stacked Decks in bulk deals, so you could raise that profit much higher if you end up doing more than 250 maps and sell everything in bulk, I wanted to see whats the minimum profit you could do in a scale of 250 maps. | Posted: 19 Nov 2019 11:28 AM PST I didn't want to see this drop off the radar because it was such a good idea. If I remember right it came up when Quin interviewed Chris. The idea is that base animations get unintelligible past a certain speed, so if skills had a separate animation that kicks in after a certain speed threshold it would make it easier to see what's going on, more aesthetically pleasing for the game, and would probably have some awesome crunchiness to the feedback similar to the feel you get from Herald of Ice shatters - suddenly clicking in to the higher speed animations would feel rewarding. The same principle could be applied to movement speed too - maybe there's a separate run animation after a certain movement speed threshold as well. [link] [comments]  | ||
| [LORE] what we know so far on Krillson and fishing Posted: 19 Nov 2019 04:57 AM PST so i haven't seen anyone talk about this, so i thought i would share some infos that we already have about him and about " fishing". Before we start, there is no confirmation that fishing actually exist, what i'm about to tell are Lore Speculations. This post gives no real answer to Krillson requests because we can't either confirm it or deny it if it works. Its a long read so grab yourself coffe if you plan on reading it all. So Chris Confirms that you can complete krillson quest, Of course he didn't confirm if it revolves around actual fishing but you can complete the quests.We know that you can find him, then he wants you to have a fishing rod and an albino rhoa feather to bring his Mastery level to level 2, after that you have to bring him 4 exotic fishes or 1 rainbowhide boots, now fish may be a metaphor to something else,it could either be the 4 items that are linked to Krillson, which are fairgraves tricorne, Star of Wraeclast, song of sirens and the last one is maybe astramendis. Maybe he wants to see 4 exiles, or maybe 4 type of gems, red blue green white. Also Krillson might give you either fish 4 exotic fishes, which might also mean open a new map ( cast a way) since maps are pretty exotic, and the slot used to be 4. Or he will ask you to fish rainbowstride boots( the rainbow part might a reference to the cow level in d3 where there are rainbows, also there is no cow level, so it might hint to there is no fishing level), the flavour text of the unique boots " Rainbowstride" is told by Gaius sentari, he was an emporer and you can find his bust in the warehouse sewers which was stolen by Victario together with the other 2 busts and then hid in his stashes, we will eventually find them and obtain a skill point for it.The warehouse sewers were removed in 3.0 and replaced by the sewers. The quest is Victario's secrets this is also my Theory and i haven't seen it around. Krillson is Daresso, fishing for a cure for his Merveil, the 4 exotic fishes he wants are the unique attributed to Daresso : Daresso's Salute, Daresso's Passion, Daresso's Courage, Daresso's Defiance, upon seeing his old spoils, he remembers who he is and goes back to Merveil, opening a portal ( casting away= casting a way) in this zone we will be able to fish, a.k.a. fishlevel. anyway.. Who is Victario? This guy is present or tied to any item Krillson is supposed to be connected, This guy is very suspicious, and his lore very cripted and full of references. Grigor says so about Victario Victario, a fellow warrior of words. He wrote many entreaties to the Ezomytes, begging our assistance in helping High Templar Voll despose Emperor Chitus. That was centuries ago. Victario's words held much power then. I imagine they still do. Apart from all these hints in the lore there isn't much more on Victario but he hints at other Lore, mainly talking about the Ezomytes ( The first ones, Einhar) and Emperor Chitus, he wants to help High Templer Voll. it goes deeper now. Victario stole the busts from Chitus perandus, but why? there's no main reason to steal them, perhaps the busts are more precious than they seem to be? perhaps connected to the thaumaturgy of Malachai? who is Chitus Perandus? He was The emperor during the Purity Rebellion>! names are never random, why is this part in the lore called purity? now it was discussed on reddit back 4 years ago, it might hint at the amulet " Tear of Purity" which might be the real amulet Merveil wore!<. Chitus worked with the thaumaturgist Malachai to augment soldiers with virtue gems for an army of Gemlings. He was assassinated by Lord Mayor Ondar on the steps of the Sceptre of God. Also known as the "Monkey King" (Quoted from Scion dialogue). Other piece of Lure are tied to Fairgraves, he combines the Chitus Plum with the Decanter Spiritus to kill himself, upon drinking the deadly mix, he says "Oh my, now that's an unusual sensation. I... oh dear, something is amiss. The Allflame, it's... no... no, no, no, it's gone out! What have I... What are you? No... you cannot be... I will... not..." It seems like Fairgraves's plan failed, the Allflame escaped the pure silver lantern, thus burning him alive, but who is he talking about? " what are you?" who did he see? was he hinting at the Elder? 3-2 years ago it was called "the nightmare" or "the void" because GGG had not announced Elder yet. Some could also say that he was talking about Hinekora, the mother of dead. Anyway let's go back to Chitus, Scion names him "Monkey King" Monkey king? what does that mean? Victario has wrote a poem about it. The Monkey King was enjoying an afternoon amble along the riverbank when, upon looking over his hairy shoulder, he noticed the Blackest Monkey he'd ever seen ambling along behind him."Why do you follow me?" the Monkey King demanded of the Blackest Monkey, for he did not appreciate uninvited followings, especially on his riverbank amblings."So that I might go where you go, be where you be, my King," answered the Blackest Monkey."And what if I do not want you to go where I go, be where I be?" clamored the irritated Monkey King with a spit and a gibber."Wanting and having are not the same, my King," answered the Blackest Monkey in a voice as smooth as banana juice."I am the Monkey King! I do as I wish!" cried the now furious Monkey King with much shrieking and frothing."Wishing and doing are not the same, my King," answered the Blackest Monkey in a voice as silken as butterfly wings.Too wild to even spit or gibber, to shriek or froth, the Monkey King took to his heels and ran. Along the riverbank he raced, faster than the water, faster than the wind, faster than thought, for he was the Monkey King, and all know that the Monkey King has the fleetest feet in all the land.He ran to the end of the river, and then to the end of the mountains, and then to the end of the clouds, and then to the End of the World.And who should be there, waiting at his King's feet at the End of the World, but the Blackest Monkey the King had ever seen."Why do you follow me?" the Monkey King begged of him."Have you ever been to the End of the World before, my King?" asked the Blackest Monkey."No, I have not." realised the Monkey King."There is my reason to go where you go, be where you be, my King," concluded the Blackest Monkey in a voice as warm and welcoming as death. Sounds weird? The part where he says end of the river, end etc.. Notice how there are 4 endings? And remember how Krillson wants 4 exotic fishes?perhaps those are the locations where to fish, end of a river, end of mountains, end of of the clouds, and end of the world. This is all i could find about Krillson and possible solutions to his quest, if i forgot other imporant lore pieces, let me know in the comments. | One thing I really want for future expension is to have a static boss HP bar Posted: 19 Nov 2019 01:27 PM PST Obligatory make it an option, but I would really like a big HP bar for the boss when I am fighting one. This would really make boss fight feel more like a boss fight and not some just some fight with an enemy bigger than usual. This would also make checking boss HP more easy for some boss that move a lot. Sometime, it's really hard to see boss HP. [link] [comments]  |
