Everyone is putting out their 4.0 wishlist and the only thing I want is no hard release date. Please do what you did for 3.0 release and if it not ready just keep pushing back the league.

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:56 AM PST

With the first few weeks of every league feeling like we are beta testers I just hope GGG does not have a hard release date. If,like 3.0, its not ready they just keep extending the league we are in. I will wait for a polished 4.0 then a rushed fix it with patches crap machine.

Will Kalandra be a boss in the 4.0 expansion?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 01:28 AM PDT

Considering the mirror of kalandra is literally the game icon for PoE, what are the chances of her being the final boss in 4.0?

Did you ever put more hours in a game than PoE?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:30 AM PST

It's insane, no other game was able to hold my interest for such a long time. Every build feels so different than the build you played before, even after 1000h+.

With 4.0.0 coming, I don't know how Diablo 4 could beat that.

[Suggestion] Give Gemstone Swords the implicit modifier "+1 level to socketed gems"

    Posted: 02 Nov 2019 09:53 PM PDT

Increased level to socketed gems is becoming an increasingly common stat, and it makes sense that the item called "Gemstone Sword" would have an implicit related to gems. There are several skills and support gems that scale with level very well (albeit most of them seem to be bow skills) so this could have some build potential.

At the top of my head, I could imagine socketing two auras and an Enlighten support in it, with it boosting the Enlighten to make it reduce mana reserved even more and increase the aura power a bit. Although there's probably some other skill setups that would benefit from this.

Even if there is nothing big you could do with this, either while leveling or in the end game, it would still be more interesting than the increased accuracy we have right now.

    My only wish for 4.0

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 10:52 AM PST

I know its probably not going to happen, but i really wish they slow the game down a bit, ive been playing other games as of late and when i came back to poe its insane how just about every build clears screens full of monsters without any problem, theres no meaningful fighting anymore, just pick your favorite skill and go 1 shot 95% of the game.

I am planning to start this game now, it looks really cool and all. Is it worth it ? Does it have any pay to win mechanics ?

Is it worth starting in late 2019 ?

What is the “quick co op playthrough” experience like?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:59 AM PST

My friends and I have a weekly game night where we play about 2 hours each week.

We prefer games that have a defined beginning and end (last boss and credit roll) that can be completed in a relatively short amount of time.

We are all very experienced with other ARPGs. We have played and beat all diablo games, torchlight 2, van helsing, victor vran, dungeon siege, and Titan quest, but none of us have played PoE.

I assume that, like most ARPGs, the "real" game is in the endgame grind for top tier equipment and tweaking characters, but were not interested in that.

So, what is PoE like as a game where you play from beginning to a defined end? How long would that take for new players? Are there any problems with playing the game that way?

We know that we will probably be missing out on what makes the game special by playing this way, but for the purposes of our game night we are ok with that.

    Zana Cortex question

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 10:15 AM PST

What's the lowest tier of maps where the Cortex can be offered by Zana as a mission?

Got like 100 Red Zanas I could just spam to see and get some Synthesis maps, but want to be sure which tier should I open.

I did some research and lowest Ilvl Bottled Faith for sale have an item level of 81, so I'm assuming tier 12 Maps are the lowest that can spawn the Cortex by Zana, but wanted some confirmation if someone knows.

    Thanks

    "Druid" skills in PoE?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2019 01:27 PM PDT

The Druid was my favorite class in D2 and with the D4 announcement heralding the class's return to the series, it's got me hyped for a possible implementation of Druid-esque transformation skills in PoE. One of the problems with the implementation of these kinds of skills is always the model work, but with 4.0 in the near future, which is suspected to have model/animation improvements, it seems like the perfect time to create a transformation skill. With that in mind, I've had a few ideas kicking around in my head about how they could be implemented in PoE. What would you guys want in transformation skills?

    • Shapeshifting could either be a permanent state, or it could have a duration and cooldown like Vaal skills which can be built around like current Vaal builds, or similar to Aspect of the Cat. A unique item or keystone could make the transformation permanent at the cost of damage or defense. You could choose between stacking increased duration for maximum transformed time and then switch to another skill or playstyle while waiting for the cooldown, or stack reduced duration and CDR for quick bursts of transformations.

    • Besides the classic werewolf and werebear, other transformations for various playstyles could be made. For example, an "elemental" transformation white gem where the type is dependent on the socket color. Red = fire, green = cold, blue = lightning, and white = chaos. When in the elemental form, the corresponding damage type would be buffed. A tank transformation that trades damage for survivability would be interesting as well for a reactionary "oh shit" button.

    • Normal skills could or could not be used while transformed depending on how GGG wants the playstyle to feel. If using a transformation is a strict buff in all cases it makes everyone feel like they have to use them or they'll be losing out. Perhaps "normal" non-transformation skills have a damage penalty while transformed. Conversely, certain skills could be transformation-only, or, like the recent Blood and Sand skills, have a secondary effect when in a transformation.

Idk what I should do with builds

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 09:41 AM PST

I'm a fairly new player to the game still, played 3 characters, yes know it's really low, I stared when incursion was new and came back when Blight started, I played mostly trappers, and this league I did a blade vortex build. Anyone have suggestions on good alt builds, I've also only played a shadow and want to branch out into this GIANT skill tree.

    Thank you!

[Discussion] What is your opinion on the multiplayer aspect of PoE?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 09:35 AM PST

I think the multiplayer in this game is severely lacking. There have been minor improvements over the last couple of years but something is still missing.

I never feel like we're working together, just separately doing our own thing near each other. Practically the only interaction with other players is passively through auras/buffs/shouts/whatever. There's never that moment where you're like "Damn, you saved me, well played!" it's just blow that pack up, blow that pack up, everyone hit the boss until it's dead. I never feel like a team with my allies.

Optimisation is of course a big issue. Plenty of builds barely work in single player, let alone in a group. It's possible the insane clear speed makes the game as a whole feel less team-work-y, but hell even levelling together before the clear speed takes over is, for some reason, not particularly enjoyable.

My one wish for PoE 4.0 is an improved multiplayer experience. I have pretty much no idea how to go about it, but it's far and away the most important lacking aspect to this game, in my book. I enjoy playing with friends on D3, but I don't on PoE. It's practically the only thing I prefer in D3 and frankly I'm not even sure why.

If you enjoy multiplayer, what do you do and why do you like it? And how would you like to see it improved in the future?
