    CoC Ice Nova Assassin

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 06:21 PM PST

Was browsing my builds that i had saved in pob, and i recalled one that was a high end CoC Ice nova, that deleted bosses. I saved the build as a future project, and am looking to league start with it. Im comfortable with my ability to farm to get the required uniques(cospris/carcass) early on, and farm for the others later(bottled faith/HH).

Since i havent looked at this particular pob in a while, would some of you guys mind looking and see if theres something im not realising, before i commit to this? Im pretty sure everything is obtainable

Help me build a Power Siphon/Vaal Power Siphon build for next league.

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 01:23 AM PST

I always wanted to do it but never got around it. Seems like next league will be the best to try. I know it's early to tell, but any help would be appreciated. I'm not an expert át building builds.

Could I get some feedback for my blink arrow/mirror arrow build for next league?
Been working on it 2 weeks so far and that's how far my work on the build's optimization gone and I would appreciate pointers on how to improve it :D

How to achieve the highest mana regen possible

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 04:29 PM PST

Hello friends, I'm trying to plan a build with the highest mana regeneration possible. I'm struggling to determine how I should achieve it.

How do I prioritize % Mana, % Increased Mana Regeneration, and % Increased Effect of Auras (Clarity)?

I've done some googling, and I haven't seen any builds for maximizing mana regen, only mana pool. Anyone have the time to help me figure this out?

New to the game, googled a tremendous amount, created a build; How is it, how can it be improved?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 09:16 PM PST

    https://pastebin.com/tPmsaKA5

I haven't filled in many items since there's so much; I just picked two wands which seemed like godrolls (would these be expensive to trade for/craft)?

Basically power siphon is being used to trigger crits, which will cast fireball and frostbolt. Deadeye doubles up on their projectiles and damage.

    Power Siphon projectiles = 9

    atk speed = 2.44

intial crit chance = 37.92% (Higher than this because of Powerful Precision, but I'm not sure how to do the math)

full power charge crit chance = 63.54% (we should get here pretty fast with power siphon)

    9 * 2.44 * 0.3792 = 8.33 crits/sec

8 * 2.44 * 0.6354 = 13.95 crits/sec, which means we'll be triggering each spell as fast as the .15 second barrier will allow (it's slower than this, but we're in the napkin phase right now)

Our average damage for frostbolt/fireball is 16.5k, we're casting each around 6 times a second, and they're doubled up from deadeye, for a total of 24 spells/sec.

16.5k * 24 comes in a shade under 400k at 396k damage. The damage from power siphon (13k) knocks us up to 409k. Far shot could bump that up a bit more

Is this build functional? Is it tanky enough? Are the wands feasible for it being a league starter? What gear would you add, and how would you modify the tree? How much am i overestimating damage, and how much would optimal gear increase it?

3.9 Jugg Boi - Lab Farmer / Boss Killer

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 02:10 PM PST

    Hello,

Thinking of starting as a Jugg Boi because new bosses scare me. Was wanting to do lab to start til people figure out the whole atlas thing and get some wealth before hand.

    POB: https://pastebin.com/Vd0iyFX9

    Basically just using Ahn's Might.

My question: Is there better pathing / important things I am missing on skill tree that I should get. I know a lot of people go all the way over to Ranger for those sword clusters, but it is something like 19 points out of the way.

    Curious about your thoughts.

    Summoner Necro vs Guardian

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 08:02 PM PST

I love summoners and always start a new league with a summoner. I always use witch though and occasionally scion. Does guardian make a good summoner? Ive never made a templar before and would like to try something a little different this time. I also wanted to try skeletons as i usually go for spectres or DD or HoA. Amyone got any tips, any experience, making a guardian summoner?

Is it possible to take all the increased movement speed nodes and still make a viable character that can survive maps with the left over points?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 06:49 PM PST

I think I saw a video of someone that did this once and wanted to try it in 3.9.

Lightning Wild Strike Slayer for 3.9 - Help Trimming 5-6 Points

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 05:51 PM PST

So I'll be playing a lightning wild strike build next league, and I don't want to play a raider. So, after theorycrafting for a bit, I mocked up this build for a lightning wild strike slayer: https://pastebin.com/BacaMm23

But the tree I made is for a level 96 character, and I usually cap out around 90-92 on characters (hoping to do better this league). Does anyone have any suggestions for trimming the build down 5-6 nodes without cutting too deeply into the DPS or life?

My goals when making this build: Maximize pre-flask, pre-totem, pre-temporary buff DPS on wild strike with unique weapons (that I will transition into crafted rares once I've gotten enough currency this league). The items in the build are what I consider reasonable to achieve within the first couple of weeks of the league (maybe not the circle of regret ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), as I don't do MF speedclearing or spend hours on end trading for profit.

Lastly, any feedback/suggestions on the build overall would be much appreciated :) thank yall

Wanting to try SSFHC for the upcoming ziz/ggg event, any fool proff tanky builds?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 06:08 AM PST

I have not played HC before and was interested in participating in the upcoming ziz/ggg sponsored event to kill fully watchstone'ed atlas. I'm not racing for top stop but just figured I'd give myself a challenge next league. Any build suggestions for the upcoming league? Ideally a tanky build because my ping spikes every now which causes some deaths which are deaths that should not occur.

I've got a couple builds in my head by not sure how they would go about being ssfhc viable, mainly HoAg Jugg/Managuardian(?), Vortex Occultist and GC Mines/Totems

    What are your opinion? ^^

Of the starter builds that are being tossed around, which ones are the most FPS friendly

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 04:21 PM PST

I played a spectre, zombie, Vaal skeleton build and sometimes it went to 0fps. I regularly get about 20.

    DoT scaling 2: Burning Boogaloo

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 02:32 PM PST

So I played poison and bleed builds in Blight, and now I'll try my best on an ignite build in the form of burning arrow chieftain for Metamorph. It's my second league trying to scale DoT into late endgame, red maps mostly, although I've never killed uber elder yet.

According to the wiki damaging ailments take the BASE damage as source, meaning increases to attacks, spells, etc. do not affect them, only the hit dmg. At the same time, all ailments deal a portion of the hit as damage over time, so increasing the hit dmg actually does benefit the let's say "base ailment damage". So about scaling, I understand I should get all the flat dmg I can between different sources (in this case bow base dmg, Anger, Immolate gem, base flat on gear, etc.), ignore hit damage increases and focus on DoT multi, burning, ele, fire dmg and so on.

Question is, should I completely ignore hit scaling? It's an essential part of my actual ailment dmg and some nodes just seem REALLY good, for example Lava Lash + the 2 baby nodes are 54% dmg AND 8% pen, yes it only works for the hit, but damn that's HOT (pun intended). Please help my stupid brain to understand how this build would turn out better, and why.

Thanks in advance from a tanky, sweaty and confused chieftain.

    Winter orb starter 3.9

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 08:47 AM PST

I was thinking id play as either elementalist/assassin/trickster in the upcoming league. Plan is to transition after I get my Tabula in A9. Will probably level as OoS if it ain't nerfed

Anyone have a good PoB or perhaps a written guide?

I did WO in Betrayal (pre nerf) and loved it. Was a noncrit elementalist with 3Heralds and temporal chains (with amulet).

    Thanks!

Edit: I will be playing softcore tradeleague

Does Blade Flurry still proc Mjolner despite being channeled?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 05:02 AM PST

If it does, wouldn't it be the best way of doing mjolner discharge? Have 1 discharge on the weapon and 1 on a cwc setup. Or would they somehow still share a cooldown?

Berserker 3.9 - Frost Blades?, Lacerate?, [Insert Skill]?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 12:24 PM PST

Greetings fellow Exiles. I rolled Juggernaut during Blight League. Want to go in the opposite Direction for 3.9 and want roll Berserker. Debating on what Attack Skill to go with and need some advice.

To give context I am on the PS4 version of PoE. I play softcore and our community is not as vibrant and robust as trade is in the PC community. So items overall are more rare. So given this circumstance if I want to go full Berserker in 3.9 which attack skill would be easier to bring out its potential given a environment with a less robust economy.

Personally I wanted to try pure physical build with Impale, but Frost Blades does seem really cool.

    Thanks in advance.

Easy ways to improve this build? Sweep Champion

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 12:16 PM PST

    Link here: https://pastebin.com/TcPVhXC0

I was using this build with slayer but found I was dying a lot so switched to champion to be more tanky. Sweep seems to be really good for clearing trash and blues but is shit for rares and bosses, and ancestral warchief only seems to help so much with that. I ran a t14 map yesterday just fine but struggled a little on the boss. Ran a corrupted t14 today with okayish mods and ran out of portals. What should I be doing to push this build? Only got 25 ish chaos right now, just trying to see how far I can push it before blight ends.

Im not a big fan of slayer ascendancy but if that's the best one I'll switch. Also if there are any suggestions for better use of my ascendancy points (e.g. remap champ or go glad/slayer) I'll happily take those on board. Cheers.

    Elemental conversion attacks?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 05:39 AM PST

I've been eyeing the new Galvanic arrow's 50% conversion to lightning, which has me thinking that a build similar to multi-conversion Divine Ire Trickster might be possible. However, I just can't seem to find any examples of multiconverting with any other attack skills. Am I missing something important here, or is it just that there haven't been any good conversion attack skills?

Basically, could a bow elemental conversion Trickster work?

What's the less trash 2Handed Melee Single target skill right now?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 05:39 AM PST

I'll play EQ/Ground Slam for clear, but with all the bosses coming in 3.9 and Metamorph, I might need an additional single target skill for them.

Bossing builds that are somewhat SF friendly?

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 05:10 AM PST

Up to this point what are some bossing builds that are pretty cheap to get going with Self found gear early on a league? Kind of just looking to widen my own view on builds to consider for next friday.

I'm aware that patch notes are not out yet, it's more just to get an idea of what people have used until now. doesn't matter if its meta or non meta or some type of a hipster build . Just would like you to share some. Thank you very much.

I will be playing in softcore though.
