    Visual clarity is a problem in metamorph fights

    GGG's obsession with monochromatic fights strikes again.

    The metamorph is black, uses black attacks, and turns the ground black when summoning black minions that leave lingering black corpses.

    I know that black never goes out of fashion but this is overdoing it. I can't tell what kills me because it blends in with everything else. Sometimes I can't even see where the boss is because it vanishes among the black ground and minion corpses.

    Imo the black ground effect when summoning minions should just be removed. It makes things much harder too see, can easily be mistaken for an attack, and does not appear to serve any actual purpose. The minions should also be a different colour because they can look pretty similar to the boss and their corpses add a bunch of same-colour clutter than obscures parts of the fight.

    [Guide] How to upgrade your Atlas (with pictures)

    I'm seeing a lot of confusion about how to upgrade your Atlas, with some of us running hundreds of maps and not successfully moving the quest along. The game doesn't really provide that clear of instructions on how to go about it, so I figured i would post a quick guide.


    Step 1: Complete maps in the four corner quadrants of your Atlas until you get influence.

    The four corner quadrants are the areas with a green checkmark. Do them until you see influence, like in my bottom left quadrant in the screnshot. You will know it is influenced when the Atlas area changes color (red, green, etc..).

    Step 2: Do random maps that are inside of the influenced quadrant.

    To progress the quest you now must do maps inside the influenced quadrant. You need to do 3 maps where your Elderslayer is present, which are random. This means you can not spam the same map over and over, but instead must mix up which you do (for example, mine were in Park -> Toxic Sewers -> Moon Temple). There will be special abilities and mobs present, with the Elderslayer talking randomly, if you are in one where he is present. Find him successfully in 3 maps and you will move on to the next step.

    Step 3: Talk to Officer Kirac.

    After completing the 3 maps the Elderslayer is in, you must now talk to Officer Kirac in your hideout to progress the quest. After speaking with him you should have a Citadel on your Atlas, shown below.

    Now on to the next step...

    Step 4: Talk to Zana.

    Now talk to Zana, and you should see a new option to "Travel to x Citadel", shown above. Clicking this option opens up new portals to a map from the influenced quadrant, which you will clear like a normal map. After killing the final boss, a new portal will open, shown below.

    Go through it.

    Step 5: Kill the Elderslayer.

    You will now be in an arena, simply kill the Elderslayer to progress.

    Step 6: Loot the Watchstone.

    Pretty self-explanatory.

    Step 7: Socket the Watchstone.

    Congrats, you've successfully upgraded a section of your atlas! Now on to the final step...

    Step 8: Repeat.

    Now go do the other corners.


    Hopefully someone found this at least a little helpful, I know I was about to tear my hair out running white maps thinking something would simply trigger. I guess it helps to have quest objectives turned on when new Atlas reworks come out...

    Before you spend a lot of currency to craft a +2 Convoking Wand, it seems that GGG forgot to mention that it's not possible to get a 4th spectre at gem level 31 or 32.

    Please make Tane Octavius not-clickable during a metamorph enounter

    Loving this league so far - couple minor quality of life improvements i'd like to see.

    1) make Tane non-clickable during metamorph encounter. There's 0 reason to need to click on him, and it causes your character to stand still during super dangerous encounters

    2) There is no "decision" to be made when picking up the organs - so can we just make them auto-pickup? It's just a tedious task as this point that doesn't really matter.

    Having Metamorph bosses the color of shadows, in a shadow-hungry game, that spawn adds that change the floor to black, is insane.

    Why can't the boss be bright green like the capsule? I feel like half the time I die because I literally can't figure out what the hell is going on.

    I absolutely hate this league mechanic overall due to it's extreme ups and downs.

    The boss is either invincible and OHKOs you, or it's an absolute joke, they both can be max "Juice" level and this be the case. Almost ready to not do it anymore during the league because it's a waste of EXP and time, especially running around picking up 50 organs manually.

    Sunday Bug Triage Update

    Update: I am done with work for the day and another producer has taken over to deploy at least one more patch (and any further urgent changes). Tomorrow's a workday so we'll have the full team on addressing feedback.

    "Skill parent object didn't exist" crash: Now fixed

    A mildly-exploitative bug I shouldn't describe until it's fixed: Now fixed

    Pestilent Strike crash: Now fixed

    Standard Zana Mission Bug: Now fixed

    Watchstone Altar can spawn on top of items: Now fixed

    Some currency items removing enchantments from items: Fixed, building patch now

    Unnamed Monster Components: Fixed, building patch now

    AMD crash: Working on this (now that we have purchased a graphics card that it is meant to happen on)

    Having to pick up components by hand: We understand this is a hot topic and will post more about this tomorrow probably

    We are also looking into all other reports - if something isn't on this list then it doesn't mean that it's being ignored. It's just that these are the ones I'm actively working on from a production point of view in terms of getting them into patches or prioritising because they're having a big impact.
