Posted: 15 Jun 2020 09:55 PM PDT I was thinking about ways to build the new arcanist brand I think I'm going to try Magma Orb linked to it as a league starter Even with the new brand changes because of the range magma orb gets I don't think it'll be hard to do damage after they've reset their positions Any thoughts? What are the best "scaling-with-investment" build out there ? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 01:18 AM PDT Hello ! Since I only do one character per leage because I hate leveling with all my heart, it is usually well geared (about 200 to 400 ex). What are the build you found best at scaling with a lot of investment that could at least hold their own at league start ? In my case my favorite was Cyclone CoC Ice Nova Assassin, the damage and survivability were beyond anything I've ever played. I also loved CL Poison assassin, the damage ceiling was a little bit lower but it was really satisfying to play. [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Jun 2020 10:30 PM PDT Tonight I crunched the stats for my herald builds in PoB with one purposeful harbinger notable and then played around with other cluster jewel options on the tree (Endbringer/Empowered Envoy, endbringer/agent of destruction, Stalwart Commander/Vengeful Commander, First Among Equals/Vengeful Commander) I have two herald stackers in Delirium - a budget guardian stacker and a 4x voices scion power siphon wander (awakened chain.) The Scion had 72m power siphon dps with awakened chain. The budget guardian had 43m self cast arc dps. Defenses wise we get hit hard - budget guardian goes from 6.6k es to 4k. Scion goes from 9.2k es to 4.3k es. 90% res to 82% res. 70% evasion to 41%. 90% damage reduction -> 56% damage reduction Guardian, 33% damage reduction Scion. Our other options for cluster jewels: First Among Equals:
Vengeful Commander:
Stalwart Commander:
Budget Self Cast Arc Guardian(budget gear - 43m dps pre-nerf) using 3 voices and endbringer/empowered envoy: Endbringer/agent of destruction: Stalwart Commander/Vengeful Commander: First Among Equals/Vengeful Commander: 1,500 ex+ (DSC prices) 4 voices wanderStalwart Commander/Vengeful Commander:
First Among Equals/Vengeful Commander:
So half and half of First Among Equals/Vengeful Commander & Endbringer/Empowered Envoy (+1 PH/replenishing presence) will get a really nice wander build with great resists, decent phys damage reduction, decent evade. No it's not OP heraldness but it should definitely be a great mapper with 15m dps with awakened chain. For bossing with barrage support it's 48m dps so it'll still 1 shot Sirus just fine. Cast on Crit ArcThen for CoC arc doing CoC guardian won't get the 10.10 attacks per second like my old character could get to. Right now he's getting 7.30 attacks per second, could probably hit the 7.57 breakpoint. Scion has no issue hitting 10.10 aps - my scion is 13.32 aps right now so it's possible she could hit 15.14. Guardian CoC arc does 2.18m damage per hit. Guardian CoC arc DPS will be 16.5m dps while Scion will be 33m dps. TL;DR - Post nerf stats:

Cold DoT vs Chaos DoT for versatility, league start, and end-game viability? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 11:30 PM PDT With the manifesto out I am strongly leaning towards league starting 3.11 with Cold DoT or Chaos DoT Trickster or Occultist. I am pretty familiar with both play styles: I played a CI Trickster Vortex / Coldsnap build throughout 3.8 and really loved it, and I've done a bunch of test drives with the various Chaos DoT skills though haven't extensive experience playing a single such character. I would love to hear folks' thoughts on how these two archetypes compare and where preferences may lie in terms of skills and ascendancies. My personal preference is to find a build I can get going for cheap and sink a bunch of currency into. I prefer versatility and like things to be at least fairly tanky even though I play SC. FWIW my initial thought is to go Occultist for the curses and pop clear, aiming for LL. Pretty standard. I'd be curious to hear folks thoughts and experiences. [link] [comments]
Looking for the simplest, laziest starters that scale to end game Posted: 15 Jun 2020 03:27 PM PDT So I've played some of the lazier builds like arc, SRS, few variations of BV, etc. and I've found I enjoy builds where the mechanics are simple (the "one button" style builds) and now I'm looking for something new for harvest. ED/contagion clear is appealing to me but it seems a bit clunky and falls off without big $$$ later. Things I'm interested would be fast clear with minimal tricky mechanics, but passable bossing as I would like to push this starter as far as possible. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jun 2020 12:52 AM PDT So I thought Harvest would be a great League to jump on the SSF train because of the high available crafting options the league provides. But I'm totally lost in what build to follow and which builds are a no-go for SSF if there are any. Is there are great SSF starter guide out there? I would be interested in the the "slam" play style like ice crash but maybe it's just easier to go as summoner? Thanks for any tips [link] [comments]

Where to find the best/most reliable builds? Posted: 16 Jun 2020 12:08 AM PDT Hi there, I'm brand new to the game but I just read that you cannot reset the skill tree, so now I need a build. I was looking here https://www.path-of-exile-builds.com/shadow but I'm not sure which ones are legit? Is this website the best choice for builds or where should I look? If you guys can recommend me like the best shadow and witch builds, that would help me too. Thank you [link] [comments]

[Theory] Harvest/Delirium Permastun build Posted: 16 Jun 2020 02:28 AM PDT Here is my pre-Delirium permastun build, and since I liked the idea so much, I wanted to see how far we could push the build now that cluster jewels have become well-known. The old build managed +220% curse effect, but it needed a GG vaal timeless jewel, so I wanted to see if stacking cluster jewels could get something better. Turns out, cluster jewels are way stronger for this. Tree PoB export. For those without Path of Building, it's Occultist Witch with CI and traveling to 3 outer jewel sockets. It has garbage for EHP and 45% curse effect. Items needed:
Total: 360 + 45 + 20 + 5 + 15 + 4 + 11 + (10 or 18) = 470-478 for all curses, 500-508 for Warlord's Mark. How it works: Warlord's Mark has an interesting stat that's affected by curse effect: enemies have a 10% additional chance to be stunned. The way stun works is that you deal damage, you have a chance to stun. If that chance to stun is less than 20%, the chance is discarded and you never stun the target with that damage instance. However, Warlord's Mark adds onto that value regardless of damage dealt, meaning if Warlord's Mark reaches that 20% additional stun chance, all damage can stun the target. You may be asking, why did I aim for +500% curse effect? 100% would reach that 20% threshold easily. That's because I was aiming for always stunning everything, including bosses that have 66% less effect of curses. 66% less effect turns the base 10% into 3.33%, which needs 500% curse effect to reach the wonderful height of 20% additional chance to be stunned. This means a Warlord's Mark from this character will allow any instance of damage to stun the Shaper 20% of the time. Against regular mobs, it's an easy 60% additional chance to stun, meaning your first hit is more likely to stun than not. The other nice part of Warlord's Mark is the reduced stun and block recovery. This seldom-used and seldom-modified stat is on the divisor of the stun equation. It can never reach 0%, but it can certainly get dropped to 1%. Against regular mobs and lesser bosses (those poor fools with a measly 33% less curse effect), a level 21 Warlord's Mark will drop their stun and block recovery to 1%, meaning each stun has a base duration of 30 seconds. Against the Shaper, it's unfortunately a bit weaker at -62% stun and block recovery, which means the base duration is "only" 2.6 second stuns. Conclusion: It's almost certainly not viable, but it provides some hilariously powerful curse potential. Punishment would grant a buff of 205% more melee damage + 114% increased attack speed to allies, and -114% to physical damage reduction on the cursed. If AG with Dying Breath is used, Dialla's Malefaction could be replaced with Doedre's Skin so you could slap a 6-curse totem with 442% curse effect on each. That would cripple pretty much anything that wasn't a 66% less curse effect boss with Enfeeble and Temp Chains alone, but you could also go an offensive route with Ele Weakness plus (Frostbite) for -487% resistance to one element. Assassin's Mark would grant +13.55% to crit chance, 108% extra damage from crits, and a 100% chance to get a power charge on kill. I think this would do pretty well with deep delves where your health bar doesn't matter. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jun 2020 02:16 AM PDT So, I love scorching ray, and I've tried to find a viable build for it for years now, but the only slightly viable one I found was a cwc soulwrest build that spawned phantasms for the damage. Obviously, I'd rather the lazer do the actual damage cause I think it looks cool. But being stationary to channel makes it a less viable tactic in recent leagues. Anyone have anything that's done well? I'd like something relatively cheap that can do end game content. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jun 2020 01:52 AM PDT Hello! I'm fairly new to POE and don't really understand the game. I've played around with an arc elementalist and an ice shot pathfinder, but I couldn't really get into the game with either. Now that the patch notes for Harvest are out, could someone suggest a build direction that would help me get into the game and understand it better? I want to be able to enjoy the changes and the league mechanic but I feel gated from it and just don't have the time to play enough to learn on my own. Thank you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jun 2020 01:18 AM PDT Harvest is coming out and it will be my first league that I will be playing. Sweep looks so cool and fun so I want to try that for my main character. I want to do huge AOE damage. Would going elemental damage or pure phys be better? What type of item would I want to use? Any guides you guys recommend me to watch? Thanks in advance guys ^.^ [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jun 2020 12:55 AM PDT Hey all, I really enjoy playing minion builds. However, each league I inevitably hit a brick wall somewhere along the way and quit playing. This past league I tried ice golems, and while I was pleasantly surprised with the clear speed the single target dps was pretty bad, and I was still dying very often. I quit at A6 Sirius, after losing all portals twice due to how long it took for my golems to actually kill him, and the fact that nearly every time I got hit I was one-shotted. So...yeah. Are there any beefy summoner builds out there? With decent single target potential, preferably. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jun 2020 11:53 PM PDT So I most commonly see Jugg as the MS go to ascendancy, since its tanky af and the nice +1000 accuracy acting as a penalty-free Rigorous Technique, but I'm wondering if a different ascendancy may be preferable for SC, where death isn't too much of a hassle. What alternate ascendancy would be worth going for? I was thinking maybe Inquisitor for the ele-pen, or chieftain for the fire damage. [link] [comments]
whats the best Necro minion build for bossing/single target Posted: 15 Jun 2020 09:53 AM PDT I would like to start out as a summoner bnext league and am wondering which minion build is best for bossing (clear can be subpar/doesnt really matter). Is it Skellies, Zombies, or some specific Spectre? [link] [comments]
Power Siphon/ Kinetic Blast Assassin Levelling Guide Posted: 15 Jun 2020 08:01 AM PDT Heya, a few people asked me in another thread if this was a viable way to level an assassin and after some testing I believe you can do it even SSF provided you use the rustic sash recipe, though you wont be zooming till about level 40 and will probably be pretty slow until then. The goal is to eventually transition into a build like this but for those of us who like to level using the skills I end up with this can work. Example PoB for a 90 Character: https://pastebin.com/6bK5dn4J Gems: Level 1- Stormblast Mine (Quest Reward) Goal Setup: Important Wand Levels Buy searches: General Notes: [link] [comments]
Looking for Rain of Arrows build Posted: 15 Jun 2020 02:50 PM PDT Very interested in rain of arrows, was specifically interested in a guide I came across for an HoA RoA build. Does anyone have any experience with HoA/RoA? Alternatively, are there other notable uses of RoA as a main skill endgame? [link] [comments]
What do you think of this build idea? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:35 PM PDT - stacking mana to 5k - mind of the council for added lightning damage and omeyocan for 20% dodge/spell dodge - using charged dash so you aren't losing mana too often from mind of the council - regaining mana from mana leech to be above 35% for omeyocan's onslaught - going trickster for frenzy/power charges, defensive layers with ghost shrouds and no mana cost on charged dash allowing you to use it when your mana is depleted because omeyocan thoughts? optionally using the new essentia sanguis if it's enough damage but could also be done with a 2h with new buffs [link] [comments]

What attack skill would be best suited to Oni-Goroshi? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 11:40 AM PDT So I'm tempted to farm Oni, I know it's long and boring but I want to regardless for the challenge. But what I'm wondering is, what attack skill would lend itself to Oni, considering its a 1h sword with no ability to DW or shield? [link] [comments]
Mathil's Beefiest Sion + Beeftain Posted: 15 Jun 2020 09:16 PM PDT You guys think we'd be able to combine Mathil's fire EQ Sion with a few takeaways from his Beeftain 4.0 BV build? He says himself most of the clear comes from the enemies explode chest. Could potentially get an enemy explode + % strength with an Awakener's Orb and the clear should be pretty similar no? Is there anything else that makes the BV build superior? [link] [comments] |
