    [Theory] Harvest Damage Immunity build

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:30 PM PDT

Warning: This is not a build that is easy to accomplish. It requires level 92/94 to get fully online, and it has some pretty gnarly item requirements.

However, it's also definitely immune to all forms of damage while active.

    Path of Building link

    Items required:

    • Voices x2

    • Medium Cluster with Dark Discourse, 25/35% effect of small notables x4

    • Medium Cluster with First Among Equals, 35% effect of small notables x3

    • Maraketh Timeless Jewel to Balbala (The Traitor keystone)

    • Soul Ripper with no more than 100 charges, no less than 90 charges.

    • Staff with 40% vaal soul cost reduction, +2 all spell skill gems

    • Honourhome

    • Coward's Legacy

    • The Jinxed Juju with 15% aura effect

    • Shackles of the Wretched

    • Conqueror's Potency

    • Shroud of the Lightless

    • Shaper boots with 15% cooldown reduction

    How it works:

This build seeks to gather immunity to chaos, fire, cold, lightning, and physical damage, and maintain it perpetually.

It self-casts Temporal Chains with at least 275% curse effect (209% from tree, 11% from curse on hit, 50% from belt, 10-15% from Jinxed Juju) to achieve capped slower duration decay (75% slower).

    For chaos damage:

    We take Chaos Inoculation (obviously).

    For physical damage:

We use Shroud of the Lightless. It has a base duration of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 45 seconds.

However, we're using a capped Temporal Chains self-curse, which is quadruple duration (12 seconds). CDR boots reduce the cooldown to 39.13 seconds. I managed to get 241% increased duration on it, which brings the effective duration up to 40.92 seconds. You don't get long, but that's enough time to recast and refresh the Shroud of the Lightless buff.

    For elemental damage:

We use Impurity of Fire, Ice, and Lightning. Each Impurity gives 25% less damage to that element, lasts 3 seconds with 8 seconds soul gain prevention, and 50 souls required per cast per aura.

This build manages to pile +300% aura effect onto these Impurity auras, which means the 25% less becomes 100% less. This build achieves the number with the following: 173% (tree) + 15% (Juju) + 112% (level 29 impurities).

Self-cursed Temporal Chains increases base duration to 12 seconds without affecting soul gain prevention. I gathered 150% skill effect duration for the impurities, which resulted in 30 seconds of Impurity uptime with 20 seconds of SGP.

The 50 souls per cast is reduced to 30 because of the delve suffix on staff. To get the 90 souls needed, we use no other flasks paired with The Traitor and 25% increased flask charges gained on the tree. This results in 20 charges flooding the flask per 5 seconds, meaning 100 charges will be in the flask after 25 seconds. Assuming the Soul Ripper evenly distributes souls among all open Vaal skills, this will result in always having enough souls for the next cast, regardless of needing to kill anything.

    How to play it:

You wait 25 seconds at the start of an instance/boss room (if it wipes vaal souls). Chug your Soul Ripper, curse yourself with Temporal Chains, proc Shade Form, then cast all three impurities. You're now immune to all hit and non-hit damage, and you can refresh these effects before they dissipate.

    Conclusion:

This build was a lot harder to do prior to Delirium cluster jewels (old build link), as god-roll Timeless jewels paired with double-perfect corruptions on Honourhome were the only alternative. The nerf to Soul Catcher made the old build impossible and the change to Soul Ripper combined with Harvest changes made this build possible.

This build can be solo sustained without killing enemies, which means it should work on all bosses. As with the older version, this build can technically become aggro-immune by stacking Shade Form with Phase Run (when Phase Run and Shade Form are active at the same time, the 50% reduced aggro radius combined into 100% reduced aggro radius, resulting in enemies being unable to detect you).

Wanna try a new slam build. Can't decide between Juggernaut and Berserker

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 11:38 PM PDT

So, I want to try a more tank build :) Unfortunatelly I haven't drop a single exalted yet nor had luck with my crafs on harvest so I have around ~220c to spend.

I haven't decided yet between Earthsthatter, Earthquake, Ground Slam, Tectonic Slam or any other skill yet. Any suggestion is really welcome. I know those new builds using slams + warcry can have a really high, although slow, damage.

I've never played as Marauder so I'm not sure how those two ascendancy. I know that Juggernaut are usually more tank and defensive and Berserker is more about damage.

But, how much is this difference? I think I'm more inclined to make a Berserker but I really want a more tanky, resistant character that can get hit by some boss abilities and don't get killed instatly. I've some vids posted here by u/neontheknight but he only used a Juggernaut, no idea how good a Berserker can be.

    Zoomer mapper build

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 03:44 AM PDT

    Hi folks,

I'm currently looking for inpiration for my next build which will be a super fast mapper. It should clear maps with virtually no skill use, be extremely fast, and be able to do map bosses (but doesn't have to do conqs or other bosses - I have another character for that).

The only options I came up with so far are a BV assassin or some sort of autobomber, each which have some cons.

BV requires a bit more skill use (spinning up the blades) but with some investment is probably going to only require that at the start of the map. I have a HH and will have the currency for tailwind boots etc so I imagine I can clear a map in like 30s. Biggest downside here is that a lot of the less exciting items are super expensive: badge, the herald rings.

Autobomber sounds like a lot of fun, but requires too many uniques to make work, and since this is a crafting league I'd rather use mostly rares. I was thinking of a version that uses a pseudo 5 or 6-link in the gloves for single target, a shaper helmet, and an explody chest, but I'm having trouble to make it work in terms of mana reservation and single target damage. What I had in mind wouldn't be a true autobomber since it requires the single target skill to set off the herald chain, but that's fine. The 45% herald mana reservation chest (name escapes me) is pretty much a requirement as far as I can see... if not that you'd be looking at HoT/HoI enchants and the mana reservation rings, which then prevent Storm Secret or rare rings.

Does anyone know how to make autobomber work? Suggestions for other builds to look at are welcome as well.

best end game builds this league?

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 07:17 PM PDT

    started with TR to farm

wanted to try out a slam so made an earthshatter zerker and while the damage is pretty good the build is fairly clunky.

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 12:50 AM PDT

Sup, i started yesterday playing this game and its so much fun! I looked into builds around the Rain of Arrows attack paired with a nice ice shot just to have fun. So i saw a few youtube videos calles „Cold (?) Rain of arrows" and i thought this attack is non elemental but everytime one of his arrows hits the ground it seems to freeze/cold enemies. I want this too :D is it a support gem or am i missing something? Greetings from germany my friends!

Anybody had/have some success with impale or poison wanders recently?

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 02:22 AM PDT

Like the title says, I would like to try something like this, but I did some testing in the past and while it looked fine in pobs, usually bosses felt like a complete garbo. I'd like to know if something changed recently. I noticed some impale wanders using cluster jewels in the previous league, but as far as I know, impale jewels were removed.

Btw by "success" I mean mostly end game/super end game. I know that literally everything can clear basic maps. Thanks for any answers!

    Wintertide/vortex vs ed/cont/bane

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:16 PM PDT

    edit trickster for both

Any advice on picking between these two? Looking for something that is alright at clearing but can still do bosses. I've played ED in the past but it had really bad single target dmg. Not sure if I can scale it with the addition of bane 6l and vixens entrapment, or just go with cold dot trickster

Looking for tankiest Witch based build

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 03:50 AM PDT

TL;DR: VD/DD Spellslinger kills my FPS, now I wanna facetank stuff.

    Hi all,

after starting the league as a VD/DD Spellslinger and progressing towards endgame I sadly encountered the well known FPS drops of doom with this build, which got worse the better my gear got. I tried everything, from buying the MTX to different renderer options etc etc, no dice. Maybe the ongoing heat wave here also slowly kills my poor old gaming machine, who knows. Long story short I am at a point that even if I fix the FPS problems, I don't enjoy the build/playstyle anymore.

Thus I am now looking to push "reset" on the character and want to go for the (natural) tankiest possible build, meaning that I am not eating dust if I get half a second freeze/lags and I am not leeching ES/HP or my bone offering falls off, you could say I am looking to facetank shit. It doesn't need to be the fastest mapper but should be capable to kill a boss in a reasonable time while I laugh in his face enjoying his puny attempt of scratching my armor.

I suppose I am looking at some sort of Golemancer or Baron Zombiemancer here, but maybe there is something else out there I am not aware of, so please help me out. I have only one stipulation: No Spectre builds, please :)

Earthquake build looking for advices. 5ex budget.

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 03:46 AM PDT

How can I improve my current bleeding build https://pastebin.com/fNYWxSbg ?

I'm having a hard time finding red maps, but for now it seems pretty good for t13, the only problem I have is low survivability and thus I'm considering buying a Kaom to have thicc hp and because it's just plug and play without looking for the perfect match. :P

Besides that I never played a bleeding build, let alone 2h lol. So if you have any suggestions about rings, amulets, flasks that might fit, please share any advice you might have. And do you think it would be best to use Fist of War? It looks and feel so badass.

Is there any way to roll that weapon better with seeds or add any modifier?

Or if there's some good build around I can follow to progress to endgame it would be great aswell. Thanks!

    LF 100% delirious capable builds

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:40 PM PDT

Looking for a great all round T16 100% delirious capable build or even concepts since I mess in PoB quite a bit.

Most of the builds last league have been nerfed quite a bit (herald, hollow palm/whispering ice attr stack with splits). Maybe ES cospris?

I no-lifed first week for the giveaway as an Ele Hit AoF assassin which was a tad squishy (4.8k life/2.2k es soul tether + VP) but had incredible damage (9+M flasked) and speed. Smoked Uber Elder, Sirus, Harvest Final Boss. Simulacrum was a bit sketchy last waves.

Got 30ex right now but can also grind some more.

    Advice for Future Builds

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 07:08 PM PDT

    Hello all!

I first played POE before the Fall of Oriath but the first league that I really got into was Incursion. When I played back then, I would just follow builds that sounded fun. However, I would try to dabble in making something of my own just to see if it would work, though none of them did.

After Incursion I quit POE until Harvest started and decided that I would try to make my own build once again. My first couple attempts failed, so on my third attempt I decided to try to make something very simple just to see if I could get anything to work and I managed to make a build that I would consider successful.

This is what I set out with: https://pastebin.com/WCAfrAYQ

And this is what I've ended up with so far: https://pastebin.com/zbtRYEEW

I settled on duelist because I figured I could do a simple attack skill that could end up doing a decent amount of damage.

This build, in my eyes at least, is fairly successful because I'm able to do a decent amount of content while spending little currency. I'm thinking of what I want to do for my second build, but before I attempt it, I'd like to see if I can gather any good advice from kind folks here.

The biggest thing that I don't know how to navigate are cluster jewels. I know that in their current state, they aren't really worth going for because of their price, though they should be more manageable next week when the patch goes out. I understand that the reason they are so good is because it saves you points in pathing, but pathing is just something that I don't consider myself good at.

So what can you see wrong with my build and how could I do better next time? Thank you for any advice or criticism that you can give me.

Good League Starter Builds That won't die

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:31 PM PDT

Hello All, I am looking for some builds that are good starters that are pretty tanky and won't die often at least I tried VD spellslinger and I don't really like the playstyle and for some reason I die a lot with the build even with capped Res and decent life. I am looking for any builds that you can recommend that require no investment really and can carry to T16 maps the speed of the build doesn't matter not looking for zoom zoom builds they can be but not required. Thanks for all feedback!

    Help with Ele Wander

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:21 PM PDT

    Hey all,

Just looking for ways to improve my ele wander raider (PoB w/o flasks active: https://pastebin.com/j4rHyWw6). Currently can clear T16 maps very quickly. However, the build struggles if I lose frenzies/onslaught (going to garden, starting a map, phased boss) and quickly loses over half of its damage due to that. Only die from occasional one shots in map or from unlucky hits against bosses quick makes me lose all momentum to go back in.

Didn't know if I should chance ascendancy path to Avatar of the Veil instead of Chase, swap to Pathfinder, or something else. Don't mind if I do have to respec for more survivability with some damage loss.

    Double strike impale gladiator

    Posted: 29 Jun 2020 12:08 AM PDT

Allright boys, i ve got a problem and you all probably have my solution, i am playing a double strike gladiator with a bloodseeker and a rare claw but my dps is kind shit and i ve no clue on how to raise it properly, this is my POB https://pastebin.com/dQEtM0g7 . I still have a couple of point to easy upgrade but i dont honestly think that those small improvement will net me a X10 to my damage, i actually run around dealing like 200k dps but ve seen this kind of build with much smaller investment reach over 2 Milion dps. Anyobody has any idea of what am i doing wrong?

My damage isn't to bad, just wanting to know if there are better gems or maybe even some parts on the skill tree i should try and spec to, currently trying to farm fossils to craft my bone helmet and a better wand.

    Looking For Fast T16 Mapper

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 10:35 PM PDT

    Hello,

I have cleared my atlas and killed A8 Sirus on my Whispering Ice Scion now and while it's smooth it's very slow. Going to use this as a bosser more or less. So now I need a new character to farm maps / spawn conquerors as fast as possible.

I've been looking at 2 builds right now (since I'm tired of BV since previous leagues):

    1. Flicker Strike Raider
    2. Frost Blades Zerker

    Budget: 10-20 ex currently.

So what I am asking is if anyone has a good guide and/or experience plaing those builds in the current league and is able to tell me how well those 2 builds (or similar builds!) work for speed farming T16 right now.

Divine Ire Totem Necro featuring Volatile Dead

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 01:42 PM PDT

Hi! First of all thank you for having a look to my build.

So i wanted to do a necro build with divine ire brands. When i got to 38, i recognized that channel skills dont work with arcanist brands, yikes....

Then i thought hey, why not divine ire totems? Now my setup has 2 divine ire totems but i also play with 2 brands on enemy (yes i know, anti synergy, because i cant place 4 totems). the brands trigger desecrate, volatile dead with spell cascade. The upside of having 2 brands on the enemy is the multiple corpse consumation(necro ascendancy)and i finally easily can trigger EO.

This build must not do all content(and im pretty sure, that it need lots of improvement to be able to) but im exciting to hear some ideas and suggestions from you guys.

My English is not the best, sorry for that. Thx guys!

PS: When I'm at my pc i will add my pob
