Looking for Cheap, Tanky, & Fast Build for T16+ Posted: 28 Jun 2020 01:05 AM PDT Budget is a few Ex. I league started BL mines which is fine but mapping is starting to feel a little uncomfortable. I am dying quite a bit and the playstyle is a little rough around the edges for me (slow and riding the line between clunky and manageable). I'm looking for a build that is super tanky (or as tanky as possible on my budget) while having fast clearing potential, fun/smooth playstyle, and preferably can handle T16 map bosses/Conquerors "good enough" to get by. Anyone have any ideas? [link] [comments]
beginner here looking to start Posted: 27 Jun 2020 06:28 PM PDT I posted a couple of days ago on the main sub reddit but they told me to also ask here. I'm looking for a beginner friendly build that is endgame viable. just for some reference i usually tend to gravitate towards more aggro builds. i like watching things blow up. lol any suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance. Frost blades zerker POB and general questions. Posted: 27 Jun 2020 11:56 PM PDT So, i decided to play around with Esoros build for frost blades zerker, and i was just modifying my own while going off on a tangent and seeing how I'd work with the ideal gear and i stumbled on a huge disparity in damage between my PoB and his but i cannot figure out how. Individually when i replace pieces of gear with what he uses it does not net me as big an increase at all. So i would like some help figuring out how exactly he's scaling all that damage, because individually i think some of my pieces are better so i should be able to atleast match his PoB damage. Even with a paradoxica my damage seems lower than his. I know my resistances arent capped but i was just messing around when i saw this and wanted to figure it out. Also let me just state this isnt some pissing contest, im not trying to make a better build or any such thing, im just trying to understand how he's scaling it so i can learn as well. My PoB: https://pastebin.com/sHx128jc His PoB: https://pastebin.com/R6iWcQkt Second question, is about Paradoxica. How exactly will it work with frost blades. According to PoB double paradoxica nets a giant increase in damage, is it better than endgame foils? How does the double damage interact with frost blades? It alternates weapon hands if my understanding is correct. [link] [comments]
Firestorm arcanist brand that i think can do 30mil shaper dps. Posted: 27 Jun 2020 11:18 AM PDT I've spent some time theory crafting this, if it works I'll be very happy, it has 8k phys ehp, the items are fairly idealized but most rolls are set to average since I dont want to plan around 6x t1 rares, having the right mid tier rolls is enough for me on most numbers. Hopefully this isn't as far fetched as I'm worried it is, the jewels are probably very expensive but there are a lot of rolls in those categories that should increase the dps in similar ways. Criticism and tips are very much appreciated. [link] [comments]
How to improve survivability - Blasphemer's Bleed Bow Posted: 28 Jun 2020 01:58 AM PDT Hi, So I'm currently at level 90 with my bleed bow gladiator, am at a point where I've gotten my gear a bit more settled, managed to kill Sirus with no real issues, however I find myself dying a lot in delirium orbed maps, degens or in situations where a lot of small hits are coming my way. Also happy with the damage I have now, and according to POB switching to awakened gems will eventually get me to an even better spot, so probably no need to focus there. Went armour as defense, with enduring cry as regen, and armour stack with CWDT + VMS. The issue don't seem to be one shots, those big hits I can usually take. So please help me refine my build, got around 10 ex to improve. Link to POB-community fork: https://pastebin.com/nVrh0W8T Thanks for helping out! [link] [comments]
2H Bleed EQ Glad starter build and conclusions after killing A5 Sirus Posted: 27 Jun 2020 03:54 PM PDT POB: https://pastebin.com/j8giFbsP Yesterday i did a deathless A5 Sirus with this build that i started the league with, took me long to unlock sirus because work. It should be able to do A8 easily if you min-max it. Any improvements to the build is appreciated, the POB has the gear that i used to kill Sirus. Build Gear is pretty cheap, most expensive piece was the chest, and you can find a cheaper one with lower ilvl, overall the build was like 80c~. You can use Hezmana's while you get an axe with bleed damage. Min-maxing this build would mean refunding Dirty Techniques and getting it with annoint, getting a nice cluster jewel to ramp bleed damage, get a high pdps axe with 60% chance to deal double damage with bleed, higher life in all slots like Belly of the beast (Kaom's roots could be good as well but losing MS is painful) The most important parts of the build are the new War Cries, Link them with Second Wind to get an extra use and make the cooldown go down fast with the CDR nodes and notables. Get the extra exert notable to increase Seismic Cry last exerted damage (120% more damage with the last exerted attack). Intimidating Cry's Double Damage doesnt increase bleed damage but makes EQ hit hard in combination with seismic cry which helps against mobs and map bosses. Overwhelm Phys resist does help against Conquerors and Sirus). New Enduring Cry is insanely good against any Unique enemy because of the instant 25 power, Conquerors and Sirus especially because of the instant 3 Endurance Charges which activates Gladiator's 10% reduced phys damage taken and the super fast heal (This was key to do A5 Sirus deathless). Playstyle Main playstyle is: Jump in a pack for fortify, and use enduring cry to get your 3 charges going. Use Seismic Cry between packs to get that extra range and DMG with EQ and Enduring to keep your charges up. Use vaal EQ whenever its up. Against bosses use Seismic Cry, attack twice anywhere to get some bonus damage going and then use Intimidating Cry, this means that you have 3 remaining exerted attacks for both cries that will deal 60, 90 and 120% more damage in addition to the double damage (Remember that Double damage doesnt affect bleed so dont make it a priority if you are against a fast boss or something, your priority is to get seismic cry's more damage). Because of less duration you can hold EQ button as long as your AS is lower than EQ aftershock, getting some AS is a nice QOL so you can attack bosses 2-3 times easier before they do their next attack. Conclusions At first i didnt really like playing it because of the slow attacks and i was going to switch to bow bleed ASAP but decided to stick with it. The new EQ is pretty good for this kind of build, other slam skills are good as well but not as good as EQ, Sunder is too slow and has a small area, ground slam means getting close like EQ and it has lower damage. The changes to warcries are the best part of all of this, but makes the build kind of gimmicky because you have to play around all of them, getting passives to make them faster and viable against the endgame. The truth is that it's a solid league starter build, leveling is a breeze with seismic and intimidating cry and you can start doing maps with any rares you get while leveling, but when you see other builds doing the same (1H or DW Lacerate, Bow Bleed) while being safer and faster it becomes a bit annoying. If you feel like doing a 2H build with Gladiator and 2H Axe i would recommend doing an Impale Cyclone instead, getting increased area from all sources to do fast mapping with bleed pops. Leveling Build to transition in Righteous Fire Posted: 28 Jun 2020 03:01 AM PDT Hey guys, I plan to come back to the game after last having played the incursion league. I'm by no means new to the game, but i think a lot within the game has changed. I plan to play a RF build as it's the build i had the most fun with in the past, but leveling with it has always been a pain. Can you recommend a cheap marauder build that i can level up with too then transition in playing RF. I want to transition into RF rather sooner than later, but don't want to go through hells of leveling as RF. [link] [comments]
Enki Arc Witch --- when does Agnostic become a realistic choice? Posted: 27 Jun 2020 09:32 PM PDT I allocated Agnostic in Act 10 tree according to the build, but this immediately wrecked my mana, making it impossible to continuously cast Arc, because if anything even taps me like a stray arrow, my mana drops again and again. Do I need higher mana regen? Or max mana? What should my target be? [link] [comments]
RF Jugg problem with Spike Explosion Posted: 27 Jun 2020 09:02 PM PDT I just reached maps on my RF Jugg after a fun leveling experience. As soon as I hit maps, suddenly, almost every map is infested with those spike explosion monsters, and they do so much damage, I'm having a hard time progressing. What can I do to deal with this damage? I have lots of endurance charges, physical dmg reduction, way overcap resists, 4.5k life and I'm running t1-2 maps, but these things are just destroying me. I've only been able to find years old posts about this. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks! [link] [comments]
How do i increase damage in my redemption sentries?( i may be playing it wrong) Posted: 28 Jun 2020 12:51 AM PDT This is my first time using specters. I have speculations that I am may be using elemental equilibrium wrong. So what I do in maps is spam ball lightning to curse with projectile weakness and occasionally using frost bomb to apply exposure. I picked up avatar to fire so frost bomb doesn't do cold damage and proc elemental equilibrium. I also spam flesh offering as much as possible and convocation to bring my minions to me. Another thing I might be doing wrong is also not using deathmark but this is because I don't have 6 link atm. I am in trade league but I am playing it ssf style with a friend. Question about why Bleed seems to suck on my Build Posted: 27 Jun 2020 11:53 PM PDT I have a level 70 Champion wielding a two-handed sword, using cyclone as the main skill, and utilizing the impale mechanic. I uploaded the character to PoB-fork and created a passive tree setup that I like, ending at level 93. Using PoB I compared using Bleed nodes, including Crimson Dance, with other nodes such as crit nodes and/or impale nodes. No matter what configuration I chose the Bleed nodes always resulted in less total dps. I am wondering if this is the case, and PoB is correct, or is there something about Bleed I am missing? Perhaps Bleed is only good with Gladiators, or maybe Bleed only gets good enough with the right gear? Right now the gear I have in PoB is just random rares I picked up SSF style as I leveled to 70. I am asking because I know there have been bleed builds in the past that were good, I think those Lacerate builds last league used bleed. So why does it seem so underwhelming in PoB on my Champ? Here is the pastbin to this build if that is needed: https://pastebin.com/rvfHAeUA In PoB you will see the build I settled on as a decent well-rounded build for level 93. In testing I tried swapping out some dps nodes and or impale nodes for bleed nodes. But the dmg was worse, even with crimson dance selected (which made the dmg much better but still worse). Thanks in advance if anyone decides to answer my question. [link] [comments]
Fun Starter Scion build for returning player Posted: 28 Jun 2020 03:37 AM PDT Looking to start playing POE again after a very long time and my first time playing a league. I'm really wanting to play a scion whose my favorite character visually next to the witch but i can't find a good melee starter build for her or really a starter build for her at all. Have yall got any good builds I could play for her? Mainly just looking for a fun build that's not super difficult but also not boring to play. If not a build directly for her atleast some advice on a good starter build for a different class I could follow and make work. [link] [comments]
Need some help with earthshatter Jugger please Posted: 28 Jun 2020 03:20 AM PDT Hello, I am doing an RT Eartshatter build on a Juggernaught. I am still missing one Trial, so no Ulab so far. Now, the clear feel great and I really enjoy the playstyle. But the single Target against Conquerors and the like feels just bad. I also manage to get One Shot by seemingly random stuff in T16s. Any hints would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Ways to increase defense against Phys Damage? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 03:20 AM PDT Playing BV Poison Assassin I noticed that I'm definitely getting destroyed by physical damage in high tier maps. I was definitely considering speccing into Divine Flesh to increase my defense but that would only help with ele hits and do nothing against physical damage. What could I do to help with phys hits? Contagion ED Trickster (Build feels sooo weak) Please help Posted: 28 Jun 2020 02:46 AM PDT I originally started this league with toxic rain but was getting frustrated from how many times I was dying. Decided to swap into a contagion ED because of the high popularity on poe.ninja for trickster. I followed a few of the guides and for the most part share very similar gear but I am still constantly getting destroyed in maps. My damage output feels very strong but my life drops instantly at times. Even in t13 maps I often get 2 shot and I am looking for any advice/help to become a lot more tanky. [link] [comments]
Trying to find a class that suits me... Coming back to PoE! Bear with me plz Posted: 27 Jun 2020 10:33 PM PDT Coming back after a FAT break. Honestly... I forgot what I was doing in PoE. I know how the game works, just not my past character. So I started a fresh templar., and now I am trying to find my footing and a good build to start working towards. I know the templar is like some wizard-y kind of class (I think), so if it helps, I prefer the spell category of the templar builds. Looking for a fun class, good damage, mana usage, and all that- you get what I'm saying. Any good classes within that category? If you need me to clarify anything or add details, just comment and I'll reply. Also, if you want to, a link to the forum of the said class would be great! I just need help picking a class since I decided to start from square one again. [link] [comments]
Help with Chieftain Slam build Posted: 27 Jun 2020 10:30 AM PDT Hi all, hoping to get some help on how to make this build better. I think the build needs quite a bit of reworking, and as someone who has not built his own build before I am unsure how to do this. I am open to changing pretty much anything, I would like to stick with the slow slams playstyle, but other than that i will take any advice I can get. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
The Agnostic + Trickster question Posted: 27 Jun 2020 01:56 PM PDT Just starting an ignite MoM trickster, planning to get a huge mana pool so I looked into the agnostic for sustain. With big mana numbers it's already good, but trickster actually has the highest increased recovery rate of life I've seen in the game at 70% (while mapping to be fair, although you could go worm flask and proc it on bosses I guess), chieftain's Tasalio being at 50%. So, does this inc. recovery apply to the life regained from mana spent through The Agnostic? Because it sounds absolutely nuts. Besides boosting normal regen, let's say I have 4000 mana, 20% is 800, multiply by 1.7 and we get 1360 life regen per second, PLUS every other form of regen. Am I doing this right? Besides that I plan on getting some staff block, Rumi's and glancing blows, resulting in max attack block and around 60% spell block, plus arcane cloak, which should work good given those numbers. The Dynamo node even gives mana back on guard skill use. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Jun 2020 12:47 AM PDT I'm looking for a new build to push further into ssfhc. ATM I'm playing lacerate glad and cleared all the way to t16 and 4 watchstones conquers. But it feels kinda slow. Any build that has the same safety but can clear bosses and maps quicker? Been looking at wintertide and scourge arrow, but kinda up for anything. [link] [comments]
Anyone got a good General's cry build? Posted: 27 Jun 2020 09:01 PM PDT I wanna try it but I want a decent starting point, the people on poeninja are only early 90s so I don't know if they enjoy it or it feels good. [link] [comments]

HSC - Spellslinger VD - Need advice on tree Posted: 27 Jun 2020 06:31 PM PDT Hi, I've been following a lot of this sub as well as alot of the popular SSF/SSFHC streamers. I made a spellslinger VD at the end of last league to test it for this league and really enjoyed the playstyle (since computer can handle the flare :) ) However, i feel like i'm not totally utilizing SC tree compared to a standard SSFHC tree (which is primarily life nodes). My current POB is built with majority of the inspiration of the SSFHC streamers but i don't know how much of the life nodes are actually necessary for SC and if i can further push my damage. My gear is quite meh but i'm into T16 at the moment without many issues. I got plenty of upgrades to make gear wise, but i wanted to focus on my tree: Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
