I started late this league and have not been as active as I would like to be. I am aiming for 24/40 challenges by the end of the league and will have maybe 7-10 hours of gameplay per week. So the question becomes, what can I turn my VD Necro into that would help with red maps and bosses? Currently, my build barely manages to "get by" in red maps and the stutter-step gameplay is a major turnoff for me. I don't want fast clear or anything, I just want to be able to do all content and all endgame bosses (Sirus and UE) without having the muscle memory of the fights Mathil does. | Fireball Spellslinger -- Can I take it further? Posted: 14 Jul 2020 09:21 PM PDT TLDR: For my lvl 92 Fireball Spellslinger that can't finish red map bosses, what reasonable changes can I make to gear or respec to eek out a few more milestones and high level farm areas (like all the metacrafts, veiled mods, temples etc) without breaking the bank? 1-2ex budget rn Hi, new player, started in May, but have taken a deep dive since then and having a ton of fun. This league start I wanted to do something accessible but still a little different than the meta. I followed Ziz's and tyty's fireball builds and this is where I am now. I can (as of recent gear upgrades) clear T16 mobs on most modded/influenced, maybe a death every 3-4 maps if I accidentally over-mod or flame dash to the wrong spot. But if I try to boss or metamorph or even Syndicate sometimes, pretty much guaranteed 1 or more deaths. So my single target is pretty crap. I want to get to lvl ~92, but the 10% penalty is making it impossibe. Recently ditches Ziz's Soul Tether reccomendation for Stygian with a sick Searching Eye that I id'd :D and its made a pretty big difference. Trying my best to harvest mod my gear with life and resists, but getting to the point where there's nothing left worth risking. One of the toughest parts is that PoB has a bug that doesn't handle Rolling Flames properly so its showing way more Ignite DoT than I am getting (which is 0 from Fireball). Thanks! I always seem to go assassins(tried zerker but felt squishier and will probably league start raider next league)I find other builds a bit boring at the moment (maybe it is just the different style of league as well). I've tried so far earthquake jugg, vd spellslinger, toxic rain pathfinder and storm brand inquisitor but just haven't enjoyed them so far and am looking for something to play other than just frostblades. | Summon Raging Spirits Theory Craft Posted: 14 Jul 2020 08:09 PM PDT So I have been playing a SRS Witch Necromancer that uses Fleshcrafter Necromancer Silks as a chest piece and Triad Grip Mesh Gloves. Fleshcrafter makes it so you minions ignore elemental resists. Triad Grip converts your minion physical damage into elemental or chaos damage depending on socket colors. I also use Mark of the Red Covenant Tribal Circlet which gives more damage and SRS always ignites. My gem setup uses Melee Splash, Melee Physical, Elemental Damage with Attacks, Minion Damage and last but not least Immolate. With your SRS doing all elemental damage and they ignore elemental resists I think it is a pretty good build offensivly. I am not sure what to do for defenses. Right now I use energy shield. I am wondering if armor/life is better? The core of the build is the gloves and chest piece so I could replace the helmet with something else. Another question I have is how to calculate SRS damage. I have PoB but it doesn't add in everything (like immolate). Not really sure what to do on the skill tree either. I have just been doing minion damage and energy shield nodes. [link] [comments]  | ||

I have a character I want to play that handles pretty much everything no problem but Sirus A8 just takes forever. I can do the first phase without ever getting hit but my final phase takes what feels like half an hour. I'm also playing Vortex so I have to spend a lot of time running to him to try to get one down which is how I get killed. Are there any high DPS builds that are specifically for Sirus and nothing else- I don't care about mapping or any other bosses. I was leaning towards a Minion, Golem or some sort of Totem build. I'm SSF but have access to a lot of gear (dual Cold Iron Points, Totem Chest, Tabula, some minion/golem uniques, etc). [link] [comments]  | ||
| Looking for mega damage bosser ssf Posted: 14 Jul 2020 09:59 PM PDT Don't mind if it's slow at mapping or anything. Just something with a lot of defense and a lot of damage. Can't be locked behind really specific uniques but I don't mind if it requires specific rare gear since harvest crafting allows all things to be viable? I'm using ball lightning miner and I hate it because it's squishy and if I go more defensive it's a lot worse damage output. I've played it the last 2 leagues and just seems significantly worse this league. I have a lot of gear like a full CI setup with 670es chest or 6 link Incandescent heart and I have a 6 link explode Es base life chest. I'm willing to craft other gear or make whatever I need but really just need some ideas. I do have a thread of hope as well for glancing blows and an intuitive leap. Wanted to get some eyes on it and see if there is anywhere I can improve the build. Gear is some basic setup for goals during the rest of the league. Never played DP so not sure what my benchmarks should be or if this is a decent expectation for end-game SSF. Anyone have experience with the skill? I am willing to give up one of them to save ~15 points to invest them in survivability. I was thinking of picking up either Wind Dancer node or Glorious Vanity (Xibaqua) jewel and invest in chaos resistance. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
