    What are you favorite uniques?

    I am curious as to what all of your favorite unique items are. I guess I will make 3 categories to add to the fun! First will be leveling item. Second will be interesting mechanic. Third is favorite overall.

    1: Honourhome. I have recently fallen in love with leveling with a +2 socketed gems Honourhome with spell builds. I use a level 2 empower which can be used at level 10 (helmet is 12) and the +2 makes it a level 4 so I get +3 levels from empower and +2 from helmet. That's +5 to the socket spell gem which is HUGE for leveling because of the massive damage added.

    2: Veil of the Night. It has such a 'terrible' unique item affix but I just love using it. If you ever see someone in global 100 ask about the helmet that gives 180 total ele res, that's probably me joking about this helmet. I made a gladiator using this thing with as much dmg taken converted to chaos as I could manage and used a magna eclipse shield to mitigate any ele damage that was left over. The build was max block which helped a bunch, and it made gearing unique in the sense all my resistances were 'covered'by just the helmet. It was very fun and I think I made it to 83 before dying.

    Third: Chains of Command (not honor, oopsies!). God I love this item. It sucks to lose the animate guardian when it's your entire build, and truth be told the build is really not good at all and needs work, but damn does this item just look so cool and feel so cool and has a long item textbox and it just is so cool to get it 6s to support those weapons it spawns. Please buff it though!

    I don't get many holidays, so finding the time to grind leagues can be tough.

    Played the leagues religiously since Essence league.

    This has to be the first Christmas that I haven't spent it playing PoE.

    Anyone else in the same boat?

    Questions about PoE as a former Diablo 2 player.

    I used to play Diablo 2 a lot, I came back to the game a lot of times but the last few times I tried it, the game didn't excite me anymore. I tried a mod that shook things up and made all classes different, but there was one thing that reminded me and this leads to my first question.

    • In Diablo 2 you'll be using one spell/ability/attack ~90-100% of your time. Is this the same in PoE? Or is there more variation and legitimate reason to use more abilities? In D2 in most builds, you only used your best ability since the others were pretty much no use.

    • In D2 you had cow levels and uber tristram, this is special/hidden content outside of the standard content within the acts, does PoE have the same kind of hidden content? If so, please don't tell me what exactly but simply answer with a yes, perhaps you could add if there's a lot of hidden content or just a bit.
