Someone check my math for self curse temp chains

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 02:50 AM PDT

Using Rotbloods promise and no Solstice Vigil for my calculations. I'm just trying to figure out how much I would need to slightly double the duration of Unshattered will (From Harbinger of focus).

Debuffs expire 40% slower from baseline gem.

50% less effect on players mean 20% slower.

20% reduced effect from Rotblood means 16% slower, yes?

Which means, to reach slightly above 50% on players I'd need about 50/16=3,2 ish. So I'd need about 220% additional curse effect from tree and gear to reach this threshold?

Am I retarded or somewhat correct?

What was your favorite off-meta build this league?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 02:56 PM PDT

I always loved Cospri's malice coc builds. I also am not the best "farmer" or trader so I could never afford those 20-30ex builds you see on youtube with a billion damage and crazy items. I decided to make a my own cheaper version after seeing magefist's beauty of a cosprisflicker build a month ago. I picked up a cospris malice for 13c and had to put the rest together. My goal for the build was under 1 ex total. I think I failed, but I definitely kept it under 2 exalt. I went inquisitor because of the stationary + nearby buffs. They synergize with flicker really well, because you are never actually moving. So does the sporeguard chest piece. Build has decent es+hp regen. 75% block, armour, evasion and blind. Immune to elemental ailments. About a million dps on a 5 link.

Check it out and let me know what you think! The ceiling for improvement is SUPER high on this build, but I made this version to be really accessible.

Struggling to figure out how to progress with my gear (Golems)

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 04:34 AM PDT

    Hi Everyone!

First time posting here. This is the furthest I've ever progressed into a league, finishing the story for the first time having played giga-casually since the start of Heist, but also played a little bit during Incursion and Delve (like, 3 hours each league or something so I don't count it).

As a new and dumb player, I got some help from some friends in a discord group I'm in on what to build, in Heist I tried a facebreaker cyclone slayer and it was really fun, but I've found my new calling in minion builds, and after following an ancient Zombie STR stacker until I couldn't clear content, a friend gave me a very basic PoB for a golem build.

While I can comfortably clear any t13 content, and none-rare t16 maps, I'm struggling to fill in the atlas or complete maps that have a few modifiers on them at higher tiers.

This is my character profile, it's CarrieGolemski, I've been told I can export my character profile to PoB but I haven't figured that out yet lol.

I was told I could swap my clayshapers for Cold Iron Points but I like having 8 golems out lol, is the DPS increase really that good to warrant losing 2 Carrions? Should I start moving to low life aura stacking? I only have maybe a 3ex budget after I wasted what little currency I have on my helm lol. I also need to swap my two stone ring for an unset one so I can fit in assassins mark for bosses, but other than that I'm really struggling with progression.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on where to go from here!

I made a Baron Necromancer in 3.13 so you don't have to...

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 04:25 PM PDT

tl;dr: The build works but due to the current state of the game, aka bossing, not really. Sirus is a real pain. Basically any fight where the Boss is standing in damage fields or moving around or the arena has damage all over it is way too difficult. Clearing and general mapping can be done fast or save and gearing is fun in ssf.

PoB: It's SSF so take everything with a grain of salt.

But why?: The build is not the fastest but tanky. I can mostly afk or grab some drinks while doing rituals or if I swap the Bone offering for flesh offering the minions speed around killing everything before you can place your mark. The overlech from Soul tether works with the Baron minion leech for some reason. So you have overleech ES from minions to you, which is nice. Also str stacking comes with the benefit of giving you tons of hp. When I die it is because I get slowed to a halt (very cool meachanic with much counterplay...) or insta killed from something.

Seriously Why?: It is quite fun to balance around the 1k str when upgrading your gear. I originally did this because I wanted to craft gear in SSF and progress a new character. I changed the build and tree a couple of times because I started without an astramentis, just a very high str amulet first. Soul tether is not needed but cool. I mean overleeching ES zombies sounds pretty nice.

How to play: Due to the nature of your minions always wanting to kill themselves in EVERY bossfight that has one shot potential you need a cluster jewel with Life from death. If you summon skeletons, your are at max skelis and then summon new ones old skelis will die and all other minions recover life. Thats how you heal them. Use convocation to teleport the stupid idiots out of everything. This mostly works but all the endgame fights are just a pain. And if you use predator support your minions willjust run back in. I couldn't kill A8 sirus due to him insta chaining phases with my minions dealing no damage. And if he stood still... No wait he doesn't! So I didn't even tried Maven. Bosses that move are just terrible to do. You need to teleport your minions in their face.

Sounds terrible what else can it do?: Delve works like a charm when you socket in meat shield instead of predator. I even did t15 80% delirium with 100 quant and died once with my minions not dieing. Kosis took some time but was quite easy. Legions are TERRIBLE tho! You can half clear them if you are lucky.

Anything this dumbster fire is good at?: Anything that stands still so the zombies don't hinder each other while walking from A to B. So the damage application is quite bad. But in the end it is a chill build with not much to do untill you fight a boss that moves more than 3 centimeters. It is good for farming some maps while watching netflix.

So what do?: Play it in trade league to experiment more and get easy upgrades. My rares sre still shit except for the shield. Probably someone can make something better out of the good old Baron. It is viable but there are so many better non meta builds out there.

Now excuse me I need to make a rant post on why Sirus is a bad Boss fight.

Ele Golemancer - What golems to use in leveling?

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 12:59 AM PDT

    Hey exiles!

I love the idea of an ele golem build, and I'm doing some practise runs to kill time using the traditional summoner leveling of hft, srs, zombies and skellies.

When I hit act 4 I can use 3 golems. One base, one from tree and 1 from ascendency. My question is what do people think is best for these 3 golems? Pure carrion? One carrion, one stone, one chaos?

    Thanks!

Can anyone help me make my Winter Orb build tankier? I keep dying at level 91. I have about 9ex to spend.

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 02:27 PM PDT

    POB: https://pastebin.com/snZC7bJ9

I'm following this Winter Orb guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCEImMpwsLo

I'm a relatively new player so bear with me. I started in Heist and only started playing this league a week or 2 ago. I've invested about 20-25ex so far. I'm mostly dying to 1 shots that I don't understand. I'll die to bosses occasionally and that's due to missplay by me, but for example I was doing a T16 map with a delirium mirror and I thought it was going very smoothly until I just died completely randomly. There must be a problem with my build somewhere.

    Some thoughts I have:

    • My resists are way over capped and I have 15% chaos resist. Should I improve the chaos resist? I have 6200 EHP. Is that a good number or should I try to get more?
    • Worth swapping out a Vast Power medium cluster for more Tower Threat for more HP maybe?
    • More life nodes on my tree?
    • I've anointed Disciple of the Unyielding for an endurance charge in the hopes of dying less. Perhaps I can get more endurance charges? How would I go about that?
    • My 3 curses are Snipers Mark, Elemental Weakness and Frostbite. Can I actually apply all 3 of these? I'm not sure how to find out.

I really like Winter Orb, especially with Hydrosphere. But I'm getting a bit down with how much I'm dying. Last season I was playing Flicker Strike and I died far less than this build, which doesn't make much sense to me.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

    Thanks

How far can bleed bow be pushed into end game? I'm really interested in farming 100% delirium maps this time around.

    Low screen clutter build request

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 11:16 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

I've got around 800h in PoE, and have never even seen the endgame.

This league is the first time I've been comfortable in red maps using a plaguebearer bf/bb assassin, but I still occasionally get my ass handed to me. A lot of my pain is due to the fact that my PC cannot handle the insane screen clutter some of the more meta builds create - my FPS tanks and I die.. It's incredibly annoying. For some bizarre reason, bf/bb is giving me somewhat stable FPS, so I've managed to actually progress the atlas this league and see A5 Sirus for the first time (and then proceeded to die multiple times).

I've decided I'm going to give it one more try next league, but its gotta be something with low screen clutter. I was looking into Burning Arrow Elementalist as a potential candidate, but was wondering if you guys have more ideas. Ideally it should be something I can league start, and maybe attempt some bosses later on.

How to beef up my Burning Arrow Elementalist?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 06:16 AM PDT

Love the build for mapping and some bosses but with 4.3k health I'm getting one shotted on some of the bigger bosses quite often. I have about 15-20ex to spend on getting this a little more beefy if possible.

I'm following this build and it has an "expensive option" with 5.5k health but other than a few skill tree points and a Vermillion Ring, I'm not sure where the other life is coming from

    Need go fast builds

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 03:07 PM PDT

I'm a bit of an off and on player of Path. Some leagues I stick around a week, some I don't play, some I play for significantly longer. Thinking about the leagues where I've stayed the longest, the builds Ive played are:

    Vortex/Cold Snap Occultist in Delirium

Volatile Dead Elementalist in Betrayal (hard cast)

A variety of minion builds in different leagues.

I can say I spent the most time in Delirium and got the farthest, getting a large amount of the atlas complete and getting to, if not beating Sirius, on awakener level 8 (I think that's the correct term). I really liked Vortexs ability to cast without stopping while also having the ability to kite most anything that didn't die quickly due to Vortex being, well, Vortex. I liked Volatile Deads homing ability that allowed me to sit there and spam for a second and the skill just cleaned up everything for me. And of course minions do their own thing without too much direction from me. Perhaps paradoxally, I don't like the sound of traps or totems. I think its a thematic thing. Any builds or skills I can make a build on you guys can recommend?

    Improving this Toxic Rain Pathfinder

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 06:42 PM PDT

Hey, guys. I wanted some tips on a direction to head with this build.

    https://pastebin.com/vLUE0f2n

This is where I'm at currently. Should I go for a second Large cluster jewel?

I'm thinking about getting Broadside on a (second) Large jewel to reach 30 radius on Toxic Rain for more overlap (if I understand the calculations correctly). I see a lot of builds on poe.ninja have the 12% increased Chaos Damage Large jewel instead of the one with DOT multiplier with bows and I went for the first kind. What's the move here?

I feel like mapping is kinda smooth currently, but some T16 with 130%+ Item quantity can be tough. I feel like bosses should be easier, but I dont wanna compromise survivability in order to get more damage.

I have a better Vermillion Ring called 'THIS RING' but after respecing I need the Int from one of the rings I'm using now. How could I replace one of the less useful mods on 'THIS RING' for an Int affix?

    About Whispering Ice

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 02:52 PM PDT

Every league l play icestorm and every league l fail epically, l need some help.

l cant seem to deal dmg in the endgame, and yet at the same time is squishy af even when l have 10k es

so l scrap build and rebuild it with some layered defenses but my ehp is below 3k (sighhh, l am mega noob, this game is just so hard for me)

l am theorycrafting a Shaper of (Ice)Storms using eb mom, jinxed juju, 2x Frenzy charge chieftain, a horde of t0unt zombies and some respawning golems, do you think this would be good?

P.S: l love Whispering Ice so much l play PoE because of it.

    Good starters for a wander?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 04:53 PM PDT

So I really enjoy the wander play style and want to start as one in 3.14 ideally it would transition in to a int stacker after getting the necessary items.

So I was wandering what builds have the ease of transition without having to trade for many regrets early on the start of the league

    Looking for IceShot/Barrage Deadeye improvements

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 11:50 AM PDT

    Hi,

I'm pretty satisfied with how my build turned out this season. It can run 80% del maps smoothly (didn't try 100% yet) and I soloed every boss with it, but looking at the forum builds it looks like I'm missing something.
I'm currently sitting at 10,5M Sirus dps, but compared to forum builds this is only 1/3 of what they get together in PoB. And this is the point where I'd like to ask if someone could give tips to improve this build.

    My PoB: https://pastebin.com/wVai3ih3

Improvements I've found so far are:

+1 Frenzy Charges Gloves with similar stats to the current one (frenzy instead of added cold dmg)

    Helmet with barrage enchant

find any new item with chance to get onslaught

But even if I add these 3 improvement, the dps won't even go near 15M so there must be something important I'm missing.

    Ty for any tips.

Int Stacker - Berserk and Rage Sustain

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 11:43 AM PDT

Hello everyone - as I'm sure most of you are aware, int stacker is all the rage for high end meta builds this league and brought with it some new ideas, including Chainbreaker via the Lethal Pride timeless jewel in conjunction with Berserk for added buffs.

I've used this setup in my Indigon Mana Miner to great success, as the rage necessary to keep berserk up is sustained by 1) ungodly amounts of mana regen 2) mines not triggering the 'lose rage on hit' mechanic from Chainbreaker (feel free to fact check me on this one, but #1 is so intense nothing else really matters for rage sustain in this case anyway).

In the case of an int stacker, my wand hits with KB are draining rage MUCH faster than could be sustained via the 'Regen 3 rage per second' line from Chainbreaker and/or inherent mana regen from the build (mana regen applies to rage regen, once again from Chainbreaker).

With all of these things in mind - what am I missing? I don't see a viable way to sustain rage at all, leaving berserk as a buff that only gets triggered right before a boss and lasts a couple seconds at most. Is this the intended use for berserk in this build? If not, what mechanic is allowing people to sustain rage long enough to make berserk generally useful?

    Here is my profile: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/dudesguy/characters

    And a POB: https://pastebin.com/VTiv7XWq

    Thanks all!
