    Harvest is nerfed, but the Discord trading is staying. Here are some tips for using TFT.

    I'll preface this by briefly describing my experience on the trade discord, The Forbidden Trove.

    I am an Exalted Provider (200 unique visitors). This is my first league, so I do not have any experience with Harvest league specifically. I had a friend teach me the basics of TFT, and it helped me get comfortable with the process very quickly, which is the goal of this post.

    I personally love utilizing Discord for trading, it's an active marketplace in which timing and pricing are important, and where you can build a reputation (and are rewarded for it). I primarily use TFT for Harvest crafts, both buying and selling, but it is useful for challenge completion, hideouts, Doryani's, Oshabi-finding...a really great accessibility tool if you choose to participate in the ecosystem.

    So! Here are some baseline tips for buying/selling Harvest crafts.

    Sellers

    1) Keep your advertisement concise. People browsing the channel should be able to identify your crafts easily. You must include:

    a. The line "WTS XXX", where XXX is the league. For most that is "WTS Softcore". For those unaware, WTS means "want to sell" and WTB means "want to buy"

    b. Level of craft. Crafts can only be applied to items within 10 item levels above the craft level. If your craft is level 76 it will apply to all items in the game.

    c. The craft. You want to utilize keywords like "Aug" or "Phys" so that if people are using ctrl+F they can find you.

    d. The price. This is more of a "should include", but IMO your experience will be a lot messier (and likely less profitable) if you set the standard at "offer me a deal and we'll see". I usually check prices each day with ctrl+F in the channel you're selling in.

    Below is an example that I keep mocked up on my Notepad:

    WTS Softcore (Exalted Provider) - lvl 80+

    Reforge Keep Prefix Lucky - 50c

    Remove Non-Phys/Add Phys - 25c

    2) Post your listing in the correct place. There are four main channels for selling - here is one example: harvest-wts-aug-rsc. This can be translated to Harvest > Want to Sell > Augment Craft > Ritual Softcore. Other channels exist for Remove, Remove/Add, and Other crafts. Note: these channels operate in slow mode, which at this point in the league is a 15 minute cooldown on messages. If you accidentally try to post before the time is up, don't worry you won't get banned, but it will not let you post until the original 15 minute timer is up (and that timer is shown in the bottom right corner of the screen).

    In my example post above, I would place that in the "Other" WTS channel. It includes all miscellaneous crafts like the fractures, the ele resist swaps, maps don't consume sextants, etc.

    3) Communicate clearly and quickly. Be ready with your in-game name (IGN for short) after a buyer DMs you. Note: at this point you may be asked to stream or provide collateral.

    a. Streaming: this is actually very simple through Discord. In TFT, if you scroll down the channel list on the left side, you will see towards the bottom a category called "Service Streaming". If someone asks you to stream, you can enter any of the empty voice channels, inform the buyer which channel to join, mute yourself, and click the little icon above your name that says "Stream Path of Exile". This is a common ask when people are buying Remove/Add Speeds, because there are only six or so distinct possible rolls and they don't want to be defrauded.

    b. Collateral: some items are worth tons and tons of money. To insure the risk of giving a randy their item, some folks will ask for exalts as collateral. In theory this makes sense, but be aware that you (the seller) can be scammed as well, if the buyer decides to take your exalts. I personally do not do collateral in my dealings. I prefer not to take on the risk, and let my vouch record do the talking. If you are not comfortable giving collateral, you are allowed to say "I don't do collateral, check my vouches and if you are still not comfortable that is fine".

    Once you have invited the buyer to your party, and you have control of the item (I usually initiate the trade as the seller but it's not set in stone), best practice is to 1) confirm the craft with the buyer, e.g. "r/a chaos confirm". Wait for them to confirm! 2) link the item BOTH before applying the craft, and after. Even if it's deterministic, you want the buyer to feel comfortable during the process. FYI, linking an item is done by opening the chat box with Enter, holding Ctrl+Alt, and left-clicking the item. You can do this while the item is in your Horticrafting Station slot. And make sure you are whispering the correct person. 3) initiate the trade back to the buyer. The buyer should place the currency in their side and you will trade the item back.

    Note: several of the popular crafts are good in multiples, such as Reforge Keep Prefixes. IF you have multiple, the process is to link the item before the first craft is applied, and then between each while keeping track. I usually link the item and then type, "after one roll". The buyer should either say "again" or "done", and you will have a nice little paper trail of how many rolls you've done to track the price.

    Bottom line here is that clear communication and honesty will make the trading experience smoother for both parties.

    4) IF YOU MESS UP: be prepared to pay for the item you borked. Some mistakes can be undone but if you accidentally annul an elevated mod, well, that's on you. This is another reason I always like to confirm the craft with the buyer, it helps to see it on the screen before you do the craft, and again leaves a nice paper trail.

    Buyers

    Edit: per a commenter below, an easy way to find crafts for sale is to join the WTS channel in which your target craft would be (for instance the Aug channel if you need Augment Caster). Left click in any empty space in the main window, and type Control+F. You will see the search bar in the top right automatically apply filters to ensure your search is in the channel that you've clicked. From there just type "Caster" or "Fire" and you will see any times that craft has been mentioned.

    1) Check vouches before handing your item over! TFT is built on a system of vouching, so that trustworthy providers are rewarded and shady providers/scammers are blacklisted. You can check vouches by entering the "services-ladder" channel (denoted by a trophy icon), and typing, !v @xxxxx, where xxxxx is the Discord username of the person you're checking. The bot will spit out a report of that person's unique visitors, vouches, member duration, and other useful stats to help you figure out if you can trust them.

    2) Don't be afraid to use the streaming or collateral methods above if you need more security. You may have to pay a premium, but I haven't found that to overwhelmingly be the case.

    3) Be ready with your currency. This is no different than buying items off the main trade site - in my experience people are flexible with accepting chaos versus exalts, you just need to clear it with them before the craft is applied.

    4) If the craft was performed correctly, VOUCH. It may seem tedious, but TFT functions as a platform because of the vouching system, as noted above. From the TFT rules: "A vouch is a confirmation of service, not a recommendation of service". So do this!

    To vouch: navigate to the "services-vouches" channel (denoted by a checkmark icon). You will type, @xxxxx remove phys, where xxxxx is the Discord username of the seller.

    Note: you do NOT need to type +1 in front of the craft when vouching. Also, if you bought four Reforge Keep Prefixes from the same seller, you will need to @ the seller for EACH craft when vouching. So instead of

    @Timothy +4 reforge keep pre

    you should type,

    @Timothy reforge keep pre @Timothy reforge keep pre @Timothy reforge keep pre @Timothy reforge keep pre

    Conclusion

    Hopefully this clears up the process for any new or uninitiated users of TFT. I know it's not appetizing for a lot of players to use a third-party service, but we have not been given another option and I consider TFT to be a suitable replacement until GGG acts on it.

    Both of these characters are just brilliant, in their own very different ways.

    The Envoy's writing is pure poetry. Beautiful use of the English language there, and the voice actor's delivery nails it... managing somehow to sound intrigued yet dispassionate simultaneously.

    And the Maven is a polar opposite. She can barely string a sentence together at first, but her lines are just hilarious, and it's fun to see them develop. And her voice actor also delivers... she's some combination of an upper class Karen demanding to see the manager crossed with a petulant but precocious child.

    The anger and toxicity on this sub are honestly getting a bit out of hand

    The Harvest changes are unpopular, to put it mildly. And it's a good thing that people are making their voices heard, a lot of good arguments were offered in defense of Harvest.

    But lately it feels like it's open season on GGG, and they can't do anything right. You'd think they created the single worst game in gaming history. Mind you, I'm not shielding them from any criticism or anything. They're a multi-million dollar company, they can take care of themselves. But when I see Bex get piled on for simply replying to a comment, because she didn't give half a manifesto in her reply, things are going a bit off the deep end.

    The most recent example of this frenzied mob-type hate is the Gauntlet race. Demanding GGG help fund it is honestly plain silly. They have stated multiple times their numbers showed races are bad for player retention the next league. Why the hell would they shoot themselves in the foot?

    Additionally, the arguments offered were also pretty silly. The race didn't advertise PoE to any new public, it advertised streamers to existing players, and specifically those on this sub. So acting like Ziz did some massive favor for GGG out of his own pocket is ridiculous. He did it for the community, because Ziz is a frigging good guy.

    Sometimes I feel like a lot of people on this sub want PoE to fail, just so they can say "I told you so".

    CMV: Harvest sucks. GGG should scrap it entirely, take ALL of its crafting options and disperse them throughout all of the other existing systems.

    Who here actually enjoys grinding out Harvest encounters? Even if they nerf it, you'll still be doing it...

    Kill it.

    I imagine phys/fire/cold/lit/chaos crafting benches in Alva temples, the mines, beast crafting, and as orbs dropped by Sirus, Shaper, and Elder. I see reroll prefix and suffix as beast crafting options. I see the div card options as rewards offered by whatever her name is after you complete every 5/10 prophecies.

    Etc, etc.

    Turn the Oshabi encounter into a unique map.

    KEEP ALL THE CRAFTS.

    (Improve the regular syndicate crafting system as well. It also sucks.)

    Tell me why I'm wrong.

    Between yesterday and today, I bought more than 200 essence of horror to craft my helmet. I just needed to hit one mod as a suffix, from there I could start crafting with harvest and so on, only one damned mod. I was pretty enthusiastic and I was ready to spam until hitting T1 of the mod I wanted, god was I naive.

    Well, needless to say I didn't hit the mod once, not even the lowest tier. By the 60th essence I said ok, this is a lot, I'll settle for every tier now.

    And here I am, more than 60 ex spent in essences, when a helmet like the one I wanted to craft starts in trade for 40-50ex, of course finished. It feels so bad, it's demoralizing. It almost made me never want to craft again. I think I'm gonna craft until mid 90 stuff to lvl up but endgear I'm gonna buy from people with better luck than me :/

    I still have 160 ex that I wanted to spend on that helmet, but if this is just the start, I don't want to keep going. I just wanted to share this with people that might understand my frustration. Can't really believe my bad luck.
