Maven fight is interesting and fun,but her loot is trash...

    Posted: 02 Apr 2021 05:07 AM PDT

You have 22% chance to get maven orb from fight,so 1/5,if you dont get 1 in 5 fights, you lose 15 ex with currrent writ prices. Her uniques are trash which nobody is using or buying even best rolls.Unique watchstones are also trash without any use(maybe you can get one with good mods but chances are really low and even then its hard to sell it).Elevated sextants are good for rolling gg mods like nemesis 4 currency,3 breaches etc for 100% deli farming setup, for normal mapping where maps consume sextants charges awakened sextants are better(you can reroll bad mods easy).Im sure all this was said before but i need to say it again after 40 Maven fights and only 4 orbs lol.I know rng is rng but still...

Release: PoE Leveling Guide 4.0 - Level Qik in Ultimatum

Release: PoE Leveling Guide 4.0 - Level Qik in Ultimatum

Out of the way info while you level, that auto hides and auto updates while you play!

This AutoHotKey overlay macro displays configurable color coded notes and zone layout images over top of PoE while you play. No more Alt+Tabbing to check your build while you level! There is also the ability to add your colorized gem setup on the side of the screen. This will show you very clearly what color gear you should be keeping as well as what to pick up from quests at certain levels. I have even made it simple to see what gems to purchase as you level and how much they cost so you can plan ahead. Like everything else, the gem setup changes automatically as you level so you don't have to interact with it.

This release brings with it gem images to make it even easier to see what to pick up while you speed through the acts! There is now support for the Kirac quest line and the leapfrog strategy for collecting watchstones. Each map also contains layout information if available and tracks the conquerors' spawns.

This version made breaking changes to the notes format. I released a video on how to upgrade your old builds to the new format. Please note that since this release is pre-patch notes it does not include the new gems yet and the builds may get nerfed. I will release a much smaller patch just before the league launch with the new gems, but I wanted to give people time to update old guides and prepare their league starters. Feel free to share your build or get some ideas over on our Discord.

The zone layout images were developed by _TreB and EngineeringEternity and are useful but outdated, they can be turned off with Alt+F2. There are Zone specific notes for how to navigate and what to pick up in each area. The overlay also shows leveling notes per Act on gems to take and passives to pick up, as well as anything else you add manually (everything is highly customizable). The images and notes are updated automatically so you never have to interact with it while leveling. It also auto hides after a short period of time so it does not take up screen space. Everything can be edited or configured to your build plan, but basics are set up in the default builds if you just want tips as you go. There is also an Experience tracker so you can see how efficient you are while leveling. Finally I added the ability to overlay an image of your planned skill tree so you know what nodes to pick without leaving the game. Please read the Readme for all of the detailed information on each of these features (or just leave a comment here and I'll answer it).

Could I please get some Help Theorycrafting my First Build

    Posted: 02 Apr 2021 03:24 PM PDT

Hi all, I started playing two seasons ago and have just followed build guides up until this point. But this season I want to try and make a build of my own. I created a soulrend/bane occultist build. Could you please help me out and let me know if there is something major or minor that I can do to improve this build. I would really appreciate some feedback

Arn's Anguish and Double Damage interactions

    Posted: 02 Apr 2021 03:08 PM PDT

Hey guys i was taking a look at the new maven belt and saw that it gives you a chance to deal triple damage while u have brutal charges, how does triple and double damage work together if at all. My assumption is that if you have a 100% chance to deal double damage then your chance to deal triple is 0%. So my question is if I do a hit with an attack from Paradoxica, which does double damage 100% of the time, while i have 10 brutal charges, which is a 30% chance for triple damage, will it always do just the double damage?

Anecdotal Performance Upgrade (Intel 3820 to AMD 3600)

    Posted: 02 Apr 2021 06:54 AM PDT

    Was running on an older PC: Intel 3820, 16gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance ram (1000mhz or something - it wasn't OC'd at all), 1060 6gb, 240gb Crucial M4SSD.

Every other game, I was fine in, my PC was still totally capable of playing modern titles (don't play single player games whatsoever, but all the mainstream online titles, except PUBG).

My performance in PoE was pretty bad. Rarely got over 70fps, and with harby packs, I would freeze for a half second and have microstutters. While playing FIre BV and hitting Legion's I would have a half second freeze, and then everything would explode - the usual performance issues that people have.

I just upgraded my CPU and Ram, also bought a newer Crucial SSD (480gb), and everything is INCREDIBLE now. Lowest I saw my frames get to were 20fps, for a split second. Had consistent 60+ fps, and as high as 140fps in maps. Didn't microstutter or freeze whatosever w/ legion's or harbinger packs. In my quick testing of 40% deli, I had consistent 60+fps.

So my post is an anecdote for those of us that have older rigs, still decent performance in other games, but now play path and have horrible performance.

    TLDR: I upgraded from an Intel 3820, 16gb DDR3, to an AMD 3600 CPU, 32gb of DDR4 3200mhz CL16 ram

Hope this could be helpful for some people that are on older systems and would like to try and get better performance.
