    Hi,

    This is my first time playing poe. I've been following this guide https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/ultimate-raise-spectre-necromancer-build-guide?page=46#comments-paginated, but I've been having some trouble staying alive. I'm on my 24th watchstone and I've been running 20% quality rare + corrupted t15 maps and I generally die to the boss about 2 times per map. Usually it's some sort of one shot or some seemingly unavoidable damage (for example there was a boss that shot out some blood rain that seemed to cover the entire map, and another boss that shot out waves of blood, and al hezmin usually kills me a good amount). Not sure if I need to learn about the boss mechanics or if I need to improve my build.

    I took off necromantic aegis in favor of some nodes that gave me some more tankiness but I'm still dying on these high tier maps.

    To summarize my questions:

    1. I'm running 20% quality rare + corrupted maps. Should I be doing that? It seems to really help with my map sustain.
    2. When I'm dying to seemingly unavoidable damage, am I doing boss mechanics wrong or is my build wrong?
    3. I actually just upgraded my animate guardian's dying breath to a kingmaker and that greatly increased my survivability (haven't died yet but also haven't faced any hard bosses). I seem to have lost a great deal of dps when I took off necromantic aegis. Losing the shield defenses to gain back that dps should be worth it right? (saw some builds avoiding necromantic aegis)
    4. I saw some builds running bone offering + mistress of sacrifice. Is that worth losing flesh offering dps?
    5. Can my skill tree be improved?
    6. What gear is best for animate guardian? I've heard about mask of the stitched demon even though this guide recommends leer cast. Also what level for animate guardian? Mine is currently at level 25. Is it worth ditching stone golem for empower support?
    7. It seems like I have my core items, what should my next upgrades be? Awakened gems, more maximum life, cluster jewels, or something else?

    Why Raider?

    • Haven't played her before. 20% Exposure. Great avoidance defenses including high evasion (with damage reduction from Wind Dancer), Dodge capping is doable, move speed for mechanics dodging, Phasing + Ailment Immunity, what's not to love?

    Why Brands (why Penance)?

    • Because I love the play style. I've played 3/5 Brands with Penance and Arcanist left to go. I want to do cold conversion because then I can hopefully leverage Taste of Hate, one of my favorite flasks in the game for its damage and survivability boosts. Also chill is pretty powerful for someone who has slow reaction times and poor hand-eye coordination.

    Why Raider + Brands?

    • Stacking Onslaught effect gives a nice chunk of base cast speed for brands (68%), especially useful for Penance which needs around 190%+ increased cast speed to hit the sweet spot of 19-20 energy stacks with Runebinder. Obligatory calculations spreadsheet.

    Specific Notes:

    • This is a barebones skeleton. I'll assume I can fill in resists and attributes later.
    • I probably went overboard on the defenses, but I am not used evasion/dodge builds. I am used to taking hits on the chin. Ideally I'd like to be dodge capped, but probably have to settle for 60%+
    • I am looking for help scaling the damage on the tree and with gems before I turn to gear. I want a solid foundation. Gear gets expensive fast and the sky is the limit, so I don't want to assume I'll be able to afford some combination of mods.
    • Hitting 19/20 stacks atm according to the spreadsheet for Penance Brand linked above
    • Exceptions to the 'no-gear scaling': Uniques, reasonable Watcher's Eye/Jewels, Clusters are okay to build around
    • Please no, "Why don't you just play Assassin?" comments. I am aware of the meta and want to work with other players who enjoy exploring the off-meta

    2.6k life

    12k mana

    28% spell block

    4x golems excluding stone

    I randomly get deleted in maps that have damage modifiers, mostly inc damage. There was a map where i opened a white steongbox and got deleted by the white mobs that spawned on top of me, similar thing happened with a random cassia.

    I would think 12k mana on a mom build would prevent even that, am i wrong if so how do i stop getting popped like a bubble in juiced maps? This doesnt happen all the time its like every 3 bars into lv 98 than its back to zero.

    Need a build that could "tank" t16 Ultis

    Heya , i have a witch (currently LL VD/DD SpellSlinger necromancer) and i'm dying way too much , mostly due to ping (South african player = 180-200 ms).

    I was wondering if theres any build that can tank a couple a hits while being frozen (again, lag) and still have decent clear and good boss damage. i've never went past round 7 and always end up dying to something that completely rekts me and its getting very frustrating.

    I don't mind playing any summoner type build or even builds with golems but i dont know if they're "tanky" enough (never done them before)

    I dont like cold snap/vortex occultists , just not my cup of tea.

    Wanted to try BA Elementalist but it seems expensive to start.

    Simple Mapping Build

    Hello all,

    If anyone can recommend me a quick to put together VERY FAST MAPPER. I have a boatload of Alva and Jun missions I wanna get through really quick. i currently have a level 98 vortex/cold snap occultist. Its a great build but its far from fast. I have also aquired the last two doctor cards (farmed the other 6 early on in the league. I can use my occultist to kill Sirus when he spawns, just need a quick build that I can slap a headhunter on farm those missions. I would like to also shy away from having to craft too much so nothing that requires some crazy crafted bow or tailwind/elusive boots. I also have 15 raw exalt apart from the headhunter to get the build started.

    In summary my requirements are something fairly simple to get started and also very fast, with fast being my top priority.

    Looking for Bossing/Delirium Build, Budget 30ex

    I'm playing on standard. I have a magic find build that's great at clearing maps but obviously sucks at bossing and can't do delirium.

    I'm looking for a build that can comfortably do all the bosses in the game as well as 20/20 delirium.

    Ideally: Something with high damage and passive regen. I'm not looking for a build that only survives when you're attacking. I want something that can face tank most things so I survive while I'm dodging.

    Clear speed is not really important other than how it handles Delirium.

    Fix my max block lacerate

    Hi,

    i've tried to cross the lacerman (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2875553) with the block man (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2775490) to create a lacerblockmanman of sorts.

    I'm quite tanky but lack damage, like a lot. Sirus just worn me down over 30 minutes. I have 30ex to fix it but i'm at a loss how to fix it? Do I get a rylatha's coil? Where do I get all that res I currently have on my belt? Do I need a better axe? Adding something from here: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Ultimatum/D5g6ogT5 would cost 12ex and bring 12% more damage. 1ex per 1% damage hardly seems worth it.

    Farmed up 100ex or so with Toxic Rain Raider ---- To be honest this build has everything I want, incredibly fast while still being able to boss no problem. AL9 dies in first red beam phase. Stuff like the Feared and stuff kinda sucks.

    Is there honestly anything that can do what TR Raider does for this price? Every build i've researched either is possibly faster, but bossing sucks, or has 200 mil dps but is slow as me trying to run a mile.

    The build I keep getting pulled towards is the Indigon CoC Ice Spear build -- Tripolar has the build for Pathfinder, but the majority goes Scion. 100 ex seems too little for Scion version, but before I go all in on the Pathfinder version of this build I figured I'd start a discussion.

    I'm open for other ideas too -- I've already 36 chall, so literally I'm only wanting to play another character out of pure boredom. My personal playstyle is farming maps (harbi's/blights/essences/perandus right now) and I take all the Sirus passives to speed farm him as well. So Needs to be able to map , maybe not QUITE at a raider type pace, but close....while still being able to kill Sirus. My TR Raider is probably 50+ deathless AL9 kills in a row, and I'm not very good....just the build trivializes the fight.

    Also looking into Self Chill zerker but not sure 100ex is enough, and checked out the Accuracy stacking Tornado Shot but chest alone is 50+ex so not sure 100ex is enough.

    Desperate help with Frost Blades

    So, I am new-ish, finished Acts but never went further, i scoured the internet for an updated Frost Blades build but none were released after Hydrosphere was, but that is not the main problem, the problem is that FB without Mirror-Tier gear can't kill bosses, apparently, i don't care for melting bosses but i do want to be able to do all content without having to farm 24/7 for currency, any help is greatly appreciated!

    Looking for a season finale build.

    I am looking for the last build for the season for me. So far I have played Ziz's Blade Blast Assassin League Starter and Hybrid's Jugg Molten Strike. Both were fun. But now I want to play something with some oompf. I am looking for a good mapper/bosser. Around 40ex. budge or less. I have issues with the muscles in my hands so flasks can be an issue but not a deal-breaker. help me out!

    Burning Arrow Ignite non-elementalist?

    I really enjoy the burning arrow ignite playstyle, but I dislike all the golem management. I'm wondering if there's reasonable alternatives to golems to playing this build (maybe another ascendancy)? I tried theorycrafting trickster or raider in POB and it's hard to get even close to comparable DPS.

    This person is using Soulwrest AND animate weapon - Destroying maps and their PC at the same time .... I have looked but there doesnt seem to be a write up on something like this... there's a couple like this (they are exactly the same builds on POE.NINJA has anyone built their out like this?
