ShakCentral's 3.15 Cold DoT for Everyone

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 09:11 PM PDT

Copy+Pasting this straight from my Discord announcement since I haven't slept much this week. Cold DoT is alive and it's freaking good:

    3.15 ShakCentral's Cold DoT for Everyone Low-Life PoB : https://pastebin.com/yVCfM3Dk

3.15 ShakCentral's Cold DoT for Everyone Chaos Inoculation PoB: https://pastebin.com/48hBnbqB

Slight title change because it's now significantly better to be using 3 damage skills. I've finally surrendered to LMB Vortex.

PLEASE REMEMBER - BONECHILL AND HYPOTHERMIA DO NOT HAVE DAMAGE IN POB. I'm very happy that the Full DPS numbers are this high with essentially two 4-links and one 2-link.

Massive thank you to the Discord mod team, especially DonBrawler, as we bounced ideas, PoBs, skill links, and Cluster Jewel combos off each other since Patch Notes hit.

Very proud of both PoBs. a TON of work went into them. Guide will be updated a bit tomorrow after I sleep. Let's crush this league.

Relaxing, Stress-Free, 1-Button, SSF Guides for 3.15's Expedition

    https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2606288

    Hey Everyone!

I've finished my guides for 3.15! This league, I will only have two guides ready for league launch: BONE ZOMBIES and RIGHTEOUS INCINERATOR. Other guides may follow as time allows, but I didn't want to put out too much theoretical content since the meta of our game has changed so much. I wanted to experience the complete game with multiple builds before I start making new content for others to play. My Necro Zombie and RF Chief guides have always been solid content and are the ones that I'll be using myself to go through and test this "new PoE". Once I'm satisfied with what I think is required of my playstyle to go through all the content, I'll go back and post another guide or two.

For those that aren't familiar with my guides, I design all my guides from a Solo-Self-Found perspective. I like the old-school dungeon crawlers where the only gear you could get, was from a corpse (not trade). So my builds don't revolve around any fancy mods or items. You can use what you find and not worry about the build losing functionality. (Now don't go being a Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins and think that because this build doesn't require anything specific that you can go and melt end game content with crap gear. Crap gear will clear crap content while amazing gear will clear amazing content. My build/guide style just allows you more freedom to get there...m'kay?)

Oh right! I play PoE just to relax and unwind, so I make all my builds to be as "1-button" as possible.

So the posted guides are just a couple of options for those that would be interested in permanent minions or RF this league. On that note, the builds are highly customizable so feel free to switch skills around to something more to your liking if the main skills don't interest you, but the playstyle does.

Anyway, have a great 3.15! I'm REALLY excited about the new content and balance changes! No matter what build you play, Good luck!

PLUG!: Tagz and I have a PoE podcast https://www.foreverexiled.com/ that is coming up on 100 episodes already! We've had a TON of fun with our weekly podcast talking about whatever we feel like in PoE Land. We've also had some great interviews with different content creators and GGG employees. Anyway, if you're looking to fill an hour of your week with a little more PoE, feel free to give us a listen. You should probably love it ;-). It'd be a good idea.

    3.15 Ice Trap Visual Reference

    3.15 Ice Trap Visual Reference

Since a lot of people are probably going to be starting this league as traps I thought I'd share this reference I made myself for levelling with Ice Trap.

I know plenty of people have already made excellent guides for Ice Trap but I haven't seen any resources like this yet.

I also have the tree I'll be using here: https://pastebin.com/BcUA51NL

    A couple notes:

I'll use Pyroclast Mine at lvl 28 for single target, it feels much better than Stormblast mine and Ice Trap doesn't feel that great imo without Cluster Traps at lvl 38.

If you are having mana sustain issues you can drop Hatred and run Clarity instead until you find a way to fix the issue. The build will be fine without it.

If anyone does decide to follow my pob and feels squishy (there's only 126% life on it), then you can drop the frenzy and power charges, or Unstable Munitions and grab the life nodes near the raider starting area.

For gear and life/resist gear will work and any combination of critical strike chance to spells/cold damage to spells/spell damage/cold damage/+1 to cold gems/+1 to spell gems on a wand, scepter, or dagger will be fine until you are ready to start upgrading to better gear. The wand crafts we can do at level 20 will carry us to endgame just fine.

    [3.15] Enki's Archmage Hierophant | Arc & Ball Lightning | Beginner- & leaguestart-friendly

If you are still solving your mana issue, look no further than a siphoning trap.

    Posted: 23 Jul 2021 12:17 AM PDT

It is a massive sleeper utility. Throw it into the pack, your mana and hp regen doubles and they get chill. Support it with charged traps, you have frenzy and power charges on a boss.

This skill will see a massive usage with the damage reduction and Mana sustain problem.

Reaper... Deadeye. Yes, please bear with me for a moment.

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 06:29 AM PDT

This might be the memest of meme builds, but please bear with me while I spew nonsense:

    • Null's Inclination Bow: 1% minion damage per 5 dexterity, plus trigger minion skills on bow kill.
    • Speaker's Wreath: Minion attack and movement speed per 50 dexterity. Plus makes it harder for minions to outright kill things which will help trigger Null's Inclination.
    • Rupturing and Ungil's Harmony: Your crits apply rupture, which globally increases bleed damage, including from Reaper.
    • Gathering Winds and Focal Point: Apply to your minions by offering general support. Use a Poacher's Mark ring with Focal Point to sustain life and mana while giving more flat damage to Reaper for big bleeds.

Link Vaal Skeletons and Flesh Offering in Null's Inclination. As your main skill, Ensnaring Arrow with Faster Attacks, Increased Crit and Culling Strike (since its sole purpose is to apply the "moving" debuff and trigger Rupturing by critting as fast as possible, as well as triggering Null's through culling hits). Get Kineticism to ensure ensnares always stick and hold enemies at bay.

Your entire role is to spot for the reaper and debuff enemies through a combination of improved Marks, three-stacking Rupturing and maintaining the "is always moving" debuff, while your Reaper goes to town. In the meantime, Skellies and offerings are popping out from Null's triggers (aided by a writhing jar against bosses without adds).

Since the build benefits from stacking dex, there isn't much problem with traveling far out of the ranger area to look for minion bonuses elsewhere as long as you stick to green tracks.

Whether this is decent or an absolute joke will depend on Reaper numbers, but you can't deny it sounds fun.

EDIT: Here's an initial PoB as a starting point; probably pretty rough since I did it quickly, and obviously missing the Reaper gem, but you get the idea https://pastebin.com/PiVTa6mr

Somehow I haven't seen anyone make a build for Spectral Helix.

If you know of someone who has it would be much appreciated if you could share.

Ideally I'm looking for something ssf friendly and tanky.

Would love to know what you guys are gonna go and thoughts on which of these I should go.

What SSF starter build(s) is everyone here considering for 3.15?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 09:35 AM PDT

I've been wanting to try out SSF on league start for a while now, and I think this league is a good opportunity to do so.

This thread is basically a copy of this thread. I havent seen any threads talking about potential SSF builds, so I thought I'd make one.

Flexible Minion League Start - Guardian or Necro?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 07:32 PM PDT

    Hey all,

I want to try out both Reaper and Absolution on my league starter, committing to one of them if it feels good. If neither feel good, I'll respec to some other tried-and-true minion build like spectres or skeletons.

For ascendancy, I'm not looking for the optimal choice but rather the most flexible choice. What are the pros and cons for Necromancer vs Guardian? They seem remarkably similar, all things considered.

    Thanks!

Thinking of storm rain raider so I can switch to toxic rain if need to be. Also if you know someone who made a build already can you point me to it. Thanks

Explosive Arrow Ballistas Chieftain Experimental League Starter (AB, EO, EE, US, BM, MC, IG, CA, IG, SE BUILD xD)

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 06:14 PM PDT

    Introduction

Blood Magic and chieftain are both parts of Path of Exile that have been my favorites for a long time, chieftain being on and off from the meta (mostly off) and blood magic never being except in the early days, so I always wanted to make a viable build that includes at least one of them. This is my attempt to include both these league (which didn't plan to do that originally but the build kind of led me to this on its own.)

The build uses Anger which is one of the best damage auras for Explosive Arrow, but nobody uses it, why is that? You may ask, well because it completely fucks your Elemental Equilibrium (EE) since it permeates everything with fire damage, I solved this using some mechanics this was the biggest hurdle of the build.

TLDR: this is the POB https://pastebin.com/zDTMTkZw

    Google Docs Version: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1U2FEwCFxs2Efj7aEsD9nOaMuQxV8-BwVcHdDtv8w8bg/edit?usp=sharing

Disclaimer: I could be wrong with any of this interactions .

    PRO'S

    Cheap to start

    Unique

    Good Clear

    Good single target

    Doesn't need mana

    Decently Tanky

    A Lot of Sustain

    Can run elemental reflect

    CON'S

Possible have an scaling sealing ceiling

Not tested use it at your own risk

    Needs accuracy on gear

Probably not the optimal ascendancy to play this but is not far off.

    Ascendancy

I like the Chieftain, that is my reason to pick it, but also the power level is now closer to the hierophant for totem builds with last league nerf to hero, also the chieftain have ignite immunity and those are scarce now.

    Order

Valako: 15 % more damage and sustain.

    Tukohama: Totem life leech

    Tasalio: Defenses,Ignite immunity and sustain

Arohongui: Defenses, Damage can run elemental reflect.

    Keystones

1.Elemental Equilibrium: A ton of damage for this type of build is a must.

2.Supreme Ego: 50% extra aura effect (moar damage) and the most important part " Auras from your skills do not affect Allies" this open up the possibility of using a minion to proc EE

    1. Blood Magic and 4.Mortal Conviction: Since we are only using one aura in this build this greatly increases our lifepool and solves any potential mana issue we could have in the future.

5.Elemental Overload: Crit is harder this league after the nerf and also we are a left side of the tree build.

6.Call to Arms: We are chieftains we generate Endurance Charges with warcries so we use Infernal Cry (on left click) just for the enemies to get cover in ash debuff (if for some reason this doesn't work then use Enduring Cry for the constant sustain)

7.Iron Grip: Strength increases projectile damage .

8.Ancestral Totem: More ballistas more damage.

    1. Unwavering Stance: To avoid those pesky stuns.

    2. Imbalance Guard: Since this builds scales some armor (not a lot) it helps us a lot again One Shots, the small shot we solve the issue by the incredible sustain on the chieftain. Special thanks to Cowpimp (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0t2Q_Kuwtst79f6Vjb8hsA) for explaining how Imbalance Guard works.

So we have 10 keystones in this build. I swear this was not on purpose, just things starting falling into place.

    League Starting.

With almost no investment (Quill Rain and Rain of Splinters could be a little expensive since Toxic Rain ballistas seems to be meta this league start, but are not required) you should get around 1.4 million DPS in white maps (around 280k per totem)

    League Start Gear

Any body armor six link (pref armor base) with the right colors.

Quill Rain (I think this league they are going to be between 5- 20c the first week) or any +2 Bow 5 link

Rain of Splinter: (Also popular this league if expensive just buy it later the build words fine without it for early content)

Malachai's Artifice Ring: This the only unique that a think is mandatory make it your first buy as soon as possible (after lvl 36)

Everything else is rares with accuracy (try to get 90 + hit chance at the very least) life and resistance.

Anoint: Watchtowers (expensive but not required for league start)

    Links

Explosive Arrow + Ballista Totem + Barrage (GMP for clearing) + Elemental Damage with Attacks + Damage on Full life ( Empower 3 or 4 when money appears) + Combustion

Frenzy + GMP + Increased Crit Strikes ( To proc EO constantly) + Faster Attacks ( or portal or whatever you like)

Arcanis Brand + Wave of Conviction + Hextouch + Flammability

Cast when damage taken (low level) + Immortal Call (Low level, to proc constantly to get the buff from Valako) alternative you can use a max lvl Immortal Call manually every 8s in boss fight and though rares

Infernal Cry (Or Enduring cry if cover in ash doesn't work since we are not melee) blink arrow

Lightning Golem on the ring just remember to summon him against tough enemies.

    Scaling

From the top of my mind a +3 Bow with nice stats, maybe going low life with some useful banners and herald of ash is also an option, some nice clusters, awakened gems etc.. is pretty open for improvement. EDIT: So I had a big brain moment and aspect of the avian boots + the new banner and goin low life could be HUGE damage for this build (Avian has chance to do double damage with the ballista's fast attack speed is goanna proc often) with good gear and the leash should be very doable.

    Leveling

Act 1 (Level Holy Flame totem + Combustion + Added Fire )

    Two Handed Melee

Until 8 : Ground Slam + Ruthless + Onslaught RRG

After 8: Ground Slam + Ruthless + Lifetap RRR / Leap Slam + Lifetap / Intimidating Cry

    Act 2

    Ancestral Cry

Ground Slam + Melee Physical Damage + Lifetap RRR / Leap Slam + Lifetap / Intimidating Cry

Act 2- 3 Switch to totems (When you get to Ancestral Bond)

Flame totem + Combustion + Added Fire + Fire Pen

After Library and when having a 4 link

Ballista Totem + Explosive Arrow + LMP + Elemental damage with attacks

    Conclusion

My objective with this guide is to farm yellows make some currency if the build works great I will keep investing on it and try to make it to the endgame with it, I'm pretty proud of it even if crash and burns, hope you like it, sorry for all the grammar errors and strange wording since english is not my first language.
