Posted: 09 Aug 2021 08:12 AM PDT https://gfycat.com/charmingunhealthycaribou After reading all the feedback on the changes it seems there were two camps of people, people that want a more interactive experience, and those who just wanna blow up the screen and blaze through the map. So I thought, after watching a certain alkaiser clip: What IF the game were actually like that? What if there was auto loot pickup, you could go super fast, your health basically doesn't matter, enemies die near instantly and you get a shit-tin of rewards? Well... Lets see! So I built ZoomZoom ARPG Simulator, a web-game free to just mess around in, change your build at-will, auto-pick up loot and just blast screens of enemies instantly. check it out here: https://thevypur.github.io/ZoomZoom-ARPG-Simulator/ Controls are simple. left click to cast selected spell, right click to move, and tab to open up the build menu. Personal favorite builds to do: The fireball nuke: +1 explosion on hit and 5 radius increases. Turbo lightning: lightning strike on hit, 4 cast speed and +1 chain speed. Thicc nova: +5 radius, +1 damage. Let me know what you think, I built this over the course of a week for fun. Also make sure hardware accel is enabled in chrome or it wont run too good. Thanks! Self cast is in a terrible shape Posted: 09 Aug 2021 07:20 AM PDT Self cast was supposed to be buffed many leagues ago and yet it's in a really bad state at the moment. Sure there are successful builds out there, Unleash probably saves the day but why nerf Spell Echo? It's like there are less multipliers everywhere in PoE now, Multistrike died in the same way. Many people will say it's perfectly doable to self cast spells but it's all about QoL and positioning to not do it. Forbidden Rite? Better use totems. Eye of Winter? Better use mines. Manabond and Voltaxic Burst? Better use Mjölner. Storm Rain? Better use Ballista Support. All new skills came with a failure from the start. I would love to see bolder tests with decreasing all the cast time of spells. Slowing down the game shouldn't mean to play in discomfort and die because we tried to stand still and self cast spells. Posted: 08 Aug 2021 08:46 PM PDT In no way were players compensated for the huge loss in survivability from the flask nerfs, which means basically every build that used flasks for defenses (which is nearly every build*) was considered too tanky by GGG. I struggle to understand this logic. Sure, some builds one could argue were too tanky comparatively, but weren't the nerfs/changes introduced in 3.15 supposed to combat player speed and flask management? (which in my opinion is okay) Also, as mentioned they ended up affecting everyone anyways. Was general player survivability really such an issue? It feels bad having to roll blue maps or spend extra effort rerolling yellow maps until the mods are safe enough to run. *Min-maxed builds typically used unique flasks, but at some point in the progression most builds would use normal magic flasks. I'm getting mixed signals, GGG Posted: 09 Aug 2021 02:06 PM PDT GGG: "The game is too fast and dynamic, we're going to slow it down." Also GGG for last four years:

PSA: using sextants might break watchstone effect Posted: 09 Aug 2021 04:25 AM PDT So my strategy for the past few days was farming chayula's breachstones. I got 4x 100% more chance for chaylua breach watchstones and secrests of the stones from UR. But after I started using sextants, I saw maybe 1 chayula breach in ~20-30 breaches. Like they didn't work at all. I managed to fix that issue by giving the watchstones to a friend and running a map with him. After that the Chayula breaches started appearing for me as expected. I bought the unique watchstone for chayula with 15 uses that instead of 100% gives me 250% more chance (so with secret's of the stones I have ~700% more chyula breaches), but I also used sextants (because I though maybe it was all big coincidence). After 5 maps with gilded breach scarabs and few natural breaches I encountered 1 chayula breach. I seems that using sextants on these watchstones somehow turns them off. And after sextant mod deplets, it stays this way. Not sure what to do about it, as getting +breaches form sextants was originally part of why I invested so much into it :( [link] [comments]
My first selfmade build killed Sirus. Posted: 09 Aug 2021 01:35 PM PDT About 1.3k hours into the game I decided to make my first very own build. Sirus A5 is dead, on my Absolution Necro in SSF! I only died three times. Also idk what everybody is complaining about. (Actually I do because it really sucks not playing on YOUR own terms) Sure this game has it's faults, it's not perfect. I get that, I see it and I am experiancing this too but come on. You don't have to follow meta builds to clear endgame content. I'm a total noob guys, I really am. If I can do it so can you. So if you want a challenge, stop playing tradeleague following builds. Go SSF and make your own build and set up your own goals. It really does feel good when you craft your own piece of equipment or when you find a 1 chaos unique that gives you the idé for a new character. For those intrested in making fun off my Absolution Necro I'll post a link for you. She might even inspire you, who knows? Well, that's what I had to say. Take care now, good luck and bye bye. (Apparently I am the NR1 Absolution Necro on SSF! Would you look at that!) https://poe.ninja/challengessf/builds/char/Suzuli/Rokina?i=4&search=skill%3DAbsolution [link] [comments]
Apparently, you can be blacklisted by trade bots Posted: 09 Aug 2021 12:16 AM PDT I just learned today that, if you pm bots too much they will blacklist you and won't invite anymore, but that's not just from THIS one bot, its from ALL the bots. They're probably all using the same tools and share the same list. How I learned about that? I tried whispering multiple people I knew were bots, they never answered at all. I then did the same exact same thing on the same account but as a random level 1 character, they literally all invited no issues. This worked with 5 different bots so far. So you know what to do if they don't answer. [link] [comments]

It's 2021 can I please buy, sell and equip items from the same screen? Posted: 08 Aug 2021 07:31 PM PDT I don't understand why we need a separate menu with vendors for buy and sell, it's just extra clicks? And can we for the love of all things holy please make it so I can unveil and sell from the same screen? [link] [comments]
It would be nice to have a development roadmap Posted: 09 Aug 2021 11:51 AM PDT Yeah I'm just not sure anymore. Some of these changes that have gone through are very questionable, like spellslinger requiring all of your reservation and costing mana for triggers. This sub used to love these devs, everyone would defend their actions and hail them as the kings of the arpg genre. Things have certainly changed in the past 4 years eh? I used to play the game non stop before bestiary, after that I've played off and on, gotten some characters to 100 here or there. I'd say my favorite time was legacy league. It really gave a lot of us who never got the chance to get certain items some things to work for. First league I ever got a headhunter! Back during open beta, the game was definitely a dumpster fire, but I believed in GGG. The way Chris talked about the game really felt like he understood the players, most of the time. Well except about permanent allocation. Regardless we were told for many years that trade would be improved. Yeah they gave us premium stash tabs so that we didn't have to use a parsing plug in to fetch item data. Can't remember the tools we used before premium tabs were a thing, but it sure was hell using them. After premium tabs, I can't really remember what else they've done for trade besides their own website for it. So we have to pay to trade items is what it feels like, but a lot of people will just say "use the third party trade programs!" ...sigh, when I play a game I want to have fun. I know, wild idea right? What exactly is fun about needing 5 different third party programs to play a game efficiently? It just feels like work instead of a game. Desync was a huge fix when 2.0 came out and I can safely say because of that one change, I stopped playing diablo 3 entirely for this game. 2.0 through 3.0 was some of the best experiences I've had in gaming. 3.0 launch was so hype, everyone was ecstatic and in awe of what they had accomplished. End game was progressively getting better and leagues were getting really great. I'd say my bitterness started to kick in with the trade manifesto released during bestiary. It felt like I was stabbed in the back because for years I was led to believe that GGG were working on it. That there was something in the works, but idk... After that I didn't really want to play much, came back for delve though. It was amazing, betrayal was fairly overtuned on release, but was overall good because vorici missions were just plain dumb. Synthesis came, was a rather bad league, good for the standart boys to make godly items. I left for 2 years after that, think I played when sirus released? Anyways eventually I came back and played during 3.13 and 3.14 and honestly it was probably the best PoE experience I've ever had. I think 3.14 from a build variety standpoint, as well as 3.13 was the best it's ever been. This had rekindled my belief in GGG. The end game was way better because we didn't need to trade for 40 trillion items anymore to sustain a t16, because back in the day we had to use literally everything at our disposal to sustain elder t16 UGS. Then I read 3.15 development manifesto and my faith yet again has crumbled. I'm not really upset either, feel like I've just gotten used to disappointment. That I've come to accept mediocrity. This sub has been on fire for a lot longer than usual as well. At this stage, I would kindly ask if we could get some sort of yearly roadmap, because I'm just not taking Chris for his word anymore. Sorry, I feel bad for saying that, but man. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice, shame on you. [link] [comments]
