    Doing T11's ok...how can I improve dom blow/spiders build?

    Posted: 24 Sep 2021 10:41 PM PDT

Here is my build. It's ok at doing T11/12, I have to be extra careful at T14 if I'm doing expeditions. Damage is...subpar, needs more defense than damage for sure. The goal is to be high enough dps + tanky enough that I can just turn off my brain and run reds. Aside from lab, my left ring, and 6 link, what else can I do to improve my build? (I was thinking maybe having another set of cluster jewels for the +15% hatred x2 nodes). Thanks in advance.

Is Hallowed Palm the most efficient way to play Ice Crash?

    Posted: 25 Sep 2021 02:57 AM PDT

It is my most favorite slam of all but it seems like HP dex stacking is the go-to option, isn't it?

I finally got some free time after weeks of hectic working schedule. I'm thinking about starting an SSF IC Berserker. I checked Ninja and see the vast majority of players choose HP Raider or Slayer, only a handful go with Berserker, either Unarmed or Staff.

Any pro slam players can give me an idea of how IC performs with those variants?

Need help figuring out life costs on a CoC Reap build!

    Posted: 25 Sep 2021 02:57 AM PDT

    Hey, everyone.

I'd seen a couple people on Ninja play a cold convert CoC Reap and the items required for it, let's say they're out of reach for a fair while due to me being more casual as the leagues go on. That's why some friends suggested doing fire convert instead (to have the experience while saving money for the eventual cold conversion), due to Magmatic Strikes and Avatar of Fire being freely available on the passive tree.

To preface, this build is meant as an aspirational build for next league, if there are no major changes to this setup in regards to patch notes. https://pastebin.com/vwFLWpYV

Some people on Ninja use a Fulcrum CoC Reap and have around the same life cost and trigger rate as my build.

My problem, without having tested this in-game, is that the trigger rate of 9.68 combined with the expected life cost of 210 (at 5 blood charges) totals to around 2k life. The build will have both life on hit from a Vitality Watcher's and life on attack hits from a ring, around 800 life regen/s and elemental damage leech from Doryani's Lesson notable (around avg. of 1.3k from Cyclone and Reap).

The issue I'm facing here is that due to not having the availability and drive of making it this league for testing, is there a way for me to calculate, somewhat, if the build won't kill itself on a big boy boss? Are my calculations for the expected life cost correct? Are the people on ninja simply playing the build and suffering through it? Am I missing something important to their success? Any help regarding it is appreciated.

Improved selfcast Stormbind (all maven invitations down)

    Posted: 24 Sep 2021 07:48 PM PDT

https://pastebin.com/PG0FjuM4 (just realised discipline is unticked - you get about 8.1es when fixed)

Decided to scrap my last power charge stacking cold conversion stormbind character. It was able to clear A9 Sirus but was sketchy for everything else and I would not recommend it. Basically would 6 portal if Chimera decided to crash a guardian fight or maven decided to release the zoo at once in a 10 boss invitations. Went back to the drawing board and decided to go Heiro for the mana and AoE. This was a very satisfying build and if you were ever curious about stormbind I do recommend it.

This variations stacks armor and currently at level 91 I have 26k with no flasks and 85% physical mitigation just sitting in the hideout. Block chance is 75/52 and you get 2% of armor as ES replenished everytime you block thanks to aegis. We use Indigon for DPS and it's capable of bursting most T16 bosses down in 1 or 2 cycles once we press arcane cloak. It does take a bit of getting used to the Indigon playstyle and that combined with stormbind's jank might make it too much for some people.

There's still room for improvement for this build and if I get a few more levels I'll probably stick another stubborn student on to get 35k armor and path to the witch for all in 2k mana regen per second. With a bit more investment (and practice) I'll probably be able to do the feared non-scoured and probably deathless as well. It's a pretty fun build and it's pretty cost efficient for what it can do - I think I spent less than 20ex all in to get this up and running. The best thing for me is the durability, decided to fight a maven'd Chimera at level 82 and mino decided to crash the fight - my damage wasn't there at the time but after 10 minutes I was able to take down both of them deathless. Sirus A9 went down 2 levels later.

You will definitely be able to get way higher DPS with a crit totem build but god help you if you can't burst down the bosses or pack in one go and from my experience the invitations are really troublesome for that archetype.

Looking for a first time cyclone build for next league start.

    Posted: 24 Sep 2021 03:15 PM PDT

I've never actually played cyclone (unless it was used as a trigger). I thought for 3.16 I'd try it for a league start as it seems like everyone always does pretty well with it. As a league starter, I really just want to be able to farm red maps to build currency for builds I want to invest more in. Just wondering what the best guides are (preferably with leveling sections) so that I can test them out and get some practice runs in before 3.16 comes out. I'm pretty much burnt out on this league and waiting for the next. Thanks in advance! 👍

    Plume of Pursuit memes

    Posted: 24 Sep 2021 02:28 PM PDT

My long time meme build goal to make a build around plume of pursuit and even more for divergent spell echo after that came out in heist, but I never got around to doing it.. until this time.

I am looking for suggestions for almost everything because this has so many possibilities, different ascendancies, all the different spell skills and so on.

For starting out I might have already most likely gone for the best version which is triple conversion reap due to the build getting a total 40% elemental as extra chaos from replica duskdawn and incandescent heart.

https://pastebin.com/ew7dERXE This is my current planned pob for lvl 93 https://pastebin.com/pJ9wa35N this is actual current shitty lvl character (Note that the DPS itself is just wrong because pob doesnt support plume so I run no quality normal spell echo and make plume of pursuit give 100% crit chance 20% less dam 60% more to look at the average hit damage)

I had a very "fun" time trying to get my resistances up and chaos resistance because incandescent heart forces you to go chaos res so I ended up going with divine flesh as well.

The current version ends up being pretty tanky with insane over leech from vitality watchers eye mod (and currently regen but thats gonna get cut with RF) with petrified blood and DI. Probably the most major defensive gain would be to get more cast speed because all your damage is from the 2nd repeat, but getting cast speed is really hard which made me go elementalist for lightning golem.

    thank u for reading

Lancing Steel CoC Ice Spear need advices

    Posted: 24 Sep 2021 09:34 AM PDT

LS CoC IS feel excellent and exciting, I enjoy it very much, now moving into high yellows and low red maps. I have no problem clearing or killing map bosses even my gears are way below CoC average, but have problem facing multiple rares with high life and resists where I cannot focus-fire a single target.

    https://pastebin.com/n4rW7gYD

    My playstyle:

    • Frostblink into Enduring Cry to gain enduring charges, if I hit enough enemies, I can immediately blink out.
    • Shoot 3 valley of Lancing Steel then Call of Steel and run around, letting Ice Spears shooting at the enemy non-stop.
    • Cast Hydrosphere when facing tough enemy providing extra bit of damage and exposure.
    • Holy Flame Totem provide curses immunity and life regen, I used to think that it can help in EE map but later found out that Herald of Ice ruined it.

    Problems I face:

    • Very one-shot-prone, it is a nightmare playing heist as I frequently die near the end of the escape route to unknown attack.
    • I want to build some sort of defensive layer but not sure what to aim for.
    • I used to have Whirling Blades with fortify but I die more trying to gain fortify than just stay far away...
    • I don't have time to reposition Hydrosphere when I'm chased by fast enemy, but that is when I mostly need it!
    • Ice Golem don't add much because of low level gem.
    • Phase Run is a QOL, but it ate my frenzy charges.
    • Every time defensive CwDT triggers, I run out of mana!

    My Thinking:

    • As I'm not focus on attack damage, attack leech cluster seems wasted. Switching to life gain on hit should be the next move (Thief's Torment -> rare LGoH rings). Passives can then put into life node.
    • Frostblink + Increased Area + Bonechill + Arcane Surge looks good, but I don't know what to take off.
    • Crown of the Inward Eye was recommended on guides I read, it has alot of %life, but no evasion. Also stacking life increase attack damage which is a waste on my build, so I'm not sure if it is a good choice. Or should I switch my defense type to maybe ES?
    • Life leech provided by Doryani's Lesson on Cluster Jewel may help my sustain more than attack leech from Lancing Steel.
    • I planned to use Increased Critical Strike Damage, but I don't have the correctly colour on my 6-link atm.
    • I'm not sure if +1 projectile in Deadeye Ascendancy really help, as I already have +4 on weapons. Will Inquisitor or Elementalist help me more on Penetration? or choose a defensive Ascendancy.

I would like help from experienced player to give me advices on what I should aim for. I mostly use self found/craft items, only buy must-have unique. But I can try to buy some gears if that really help my progression!

    Thanks for reading~~

    Assassin Real builds?

    Posted: 24 Sep 2021 03:46 PM PDT

Anyone got a well rounded pob for assassin reap? There seems multiple ways to scale it judging by poe.ninja and I'd like to hear from actual players what build worked for them and why.

Edit; damnit, title should say reap not real

What builds 'solve' most game mechanics?

    Posted: 24 Sep 2021 05:56 AM PDT

I'm talking: Curse immune Elemental ailments immune Chaos immune Stun immune One shot immune Bleed immune

(Or at least deal with most of these just fine 95% of the time)

My SST glad was most of these but not curses and lacked in chaos res. It seems like occultist would be a good place to start?
