| The best-kept secret for the Gauntlet - Cold DoT Raider Posted: 10 Sep 2021 01:59 PM PDT Thesis: Cold DoT Raider is completely ridiculous in the Gauntlet setting Credit for the original build goes to Karvarousku. I've tried to do Raider Cold DoT a few times but fell into the trap of "Cold DoT = ES stacking & Wand + Shield". Karv's genius PoB was my starting point, and after a week of my own testing & feedback from chat, both Gauntlet vets and total newbies, I have a PoB that I'm incredibly happy with. If you're a top-tier player trying to reach lvl 95+ and endgame bosses, use Karv's PoB; it's built more for very high playtime and game knowledge. As usual, my PoB alterations were designed for less experienced or softcore players and people who are more likely to have 2-5 hours per day for the Gauntlet instead of 8-10. Summary:

| Posted: 11 Sep 2021 02:12 AM PDT Found a way to always generate a Power Charge when casting Discharge, but not sure how to utilize it well in the build: Having 100% critical strike chance on Discharge and 100% chance to generate a Power Charge on critical strike means you can keep casting discharge over and over using the Endless Misery Jewel: https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Endless_Misery Currently I need 3 Unique Items to achieve this, however I think that number could be improved. Here are the uniques: For 100% Critical Strike Chance: You may need to spec into the tree for more crit chance if your gear / flasks are not sufficient. But reaching 100% should not be too bad. For 100% Chance to have a Power Charge: Discharge should be linked to a level 21/20 "Anomalous Power Charge on Critical" support gem (for 75% chance to gain a power charge on critical strike) Generate First Charge Easily The Voidbringers gloves give us the setback that we have + to mana cost. This can work in our favor if we take the Occultist's Forbidden Power Ascendancy Node to gain a power charge every time we spend 200 mana. This does however, give us the challenge of needing to sustain a LOT of mana. Obviously damage would not be very good if we can only use one charge at a time. If anyone has anything to add that might make this a good build please let me know! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Does anyone know a good resource on scaling ailment damage? Posted: 10 Sep 2021 03:22 PM PDT I was trying to theorycraft another build, maybe ignite or bleed something and other than the generic "Fire damage", "Damage over time" nodes I'm not sure how people are getting millions of damage from ignite? Does physical damage have an effect on how much damage ignite does? I know with impale from what I read it takes 10% of "extra damage" What I understand from that is if I hit something for 100 points of damage it will take an extra 10pts, the initial 100pts then takes damage mitigation into account so it may hit for much less, but the 10pt stays... does other things work like this? | Help with single target for self cast FR Occultist Posted: 10 Sep 2021 05:51 PM PDT Hello everyone, I recently sold my SST Raider to try FR Occultist. The clear is absolutely amazing, and once I pick up HH buffs, I absolutely blast map bosses/conqs/elder/shaper guardians. However, I'm finding that on bosses like Sirus and Maven where I dont have a lot of mobs, the damage feels kind of lackluster. On top of that, since there arent as many mobs to hit with projectiles, I'm not regening as much life per cast, and it's just an uphill battle. I've watched tripolarbear's vid twice, and I think I understand all the mechanics of the build. Is there an optimal distance to stand from the boss, and is there an optimal place to have your pointer? Like should I aim behind the boss, slightly in front, or right on top of the boss with my cursor? PoB dps is actually the same as my SST Raider, but the damage feels like 1/3rd of that. Sometimes I'll attack, and the projectiles make contact with the boss, but the damage doesn't even register like I'm lagging or something. I noticed you can do a lot of damage every 4 seconds with Indigon and then be stuck, unable to cast for a bit, which seems suboptimal. [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm leveling a cyclone berserker. Just got my first ascendancy (rage gain one) and the berserk skill. But when I activate berserk it feels like I'm doing less damage which makes no sense.
