    How is your CWDT loop build doing in 3.18?

    I saved up enough money to go full CWDT (from DD), but wondering how it is performing with all these scary new mods.

    From your current experience:

    • Is Drought Bringer really cancer or is it ok?
    • What about phys mitigation? Are you doing well without it?
    • Farming T16 with no problem?
    • Not too many oneshot by 5 essences rares?

    Steel Skill Builds viable?

    I found a few old Splitting / Lancing Steel builds on the net and think they look pretty cool. Very few people seem to play it nowadays but I didn't find anything about nerfs. So why is no one playing it?

    Ppl on poe ninja are using champion, would it be equally viable on a berserker?

    How is dps and survivability?

    Rog just handed me a weapon. What build to play?

    I just got this weapon from Rog and I'm thinking about transitioning to use it. I am currently Toxic Rain Champion and would prefer to remain on Duelist. I guess Lightning Strike is always an option? Any other ideas that folks may have since its not the usual claw and has a slower speed?

    I play Lightning Arrow with trinity.
    Can I do anything with this bow? Or do I have to just the recombinator and pray?

    Or is multimod, add cold + crit the best play?

    SSFSC gamers - what mapper are you running?

    Just curios about that mappers people are playing with. I have a 91 seismic sab and a 87 lightning arrow deadeye.

    The saboteur is a decent mapper, but not zoom zoom. The LA deadeye feels, just a little off. I can do t14 ok, but if I try harvest, expedition or anything above just running the map, he struggles hard.

    So just wanted to check what are people are running as they zoom zoom mapper.

    HoT Autobomber help

    I'm playing DD Necro right now and I want to swap to assassin HoT once I get the currency, however im not sure if I want to make the build with HoI or not.

    It seems much harder to gear with HoI but I imagine I could scale the clear to be way better.

    The main question is does HoT even need the extra help clearing? And how much single target am I sacrificing in exchange for HoI?

    Ps: I am going to be using the gull and shrine nodes cause it seems fun :) not sure if that changes anything

    Blackflame vs Polaric Devestation on DD Necro

    After browsing PoE Ninja for possible updates I found out that the currently most used ring on DD Necros is the Blackflame Ring. Up till now the next upgrade I was saving for was the Polaric Devestation ring for the duration and cover in ash modifier.

    Other than the price difference (which shouldnt be a factor fo builds that arealready close to maxed out) why would you take Blackflame over Polaric Devestation and would the former need any build around stats, other than wither?

    How to play DD?

    So after seeing first HCSSF players take down uber bosses with DD and iam sitting here with 15ex in my seismic trapper and can barely do normal uber elder i kinda want to switch, but i never played a corpse build before.

    So first question. Why does not everyone play DD? Like what are the downsites?

    Seems very simple. I dont see anything complicated. Just place down desecrate and then use DD and repeat. Scale corpse life and thats all the damage. Rest all defense. Some optimization like 30% efficiency craft on shield and trigger socketed skill for bone offering and WoC.

    Is that it? I heard some bug with spectre but i dont see raise spectre gem in her build. Would be nice if someone explained some details to that build. Also how i level it maybe.

    Brittle ground boots on Lightning Strike Raider?

    Are Brittle boots as strong as they appear to be for LS? If I'm understanding it correctly, 5 base crit equates to ~30-40% more damage multiplier from a single mod. Is there some restriction on the effect? Does it have DR on bosses?

    Taken at face value these boots blow Darkray Vectors away. But I still see over half of LS builds using Darkray, so I feel like I must be missing something.

    Obviously they only work on mobs you are near every ~5-7s but that's fairly easy for bosses where the DPS is needed.

    About me

    I'm french so leaguestart is at 22:00. I currently am jobless so I have a high playtime. I'm playing since Delve and usually go ~32 challenge before I get bored but play ~300 hours per league.

    Initial plan

    I wanted to be heisting non-stop at leaguestart and farm about 20ex to make another build, probably a bosskiller so I chose Toxic Rain(TR) Raider. It seems that heisting was really popular at day 1 to 3 so I focused mainly on clearing atlas because the value of heist was way lower than last league.

    Leaguestart night :

    I played until ~1am and went to bed having cleared act 6. The new rare were a bit scary at first but when I finally got my quill rain at A4 (bought with a chaos that dropped) i started clearing them easily. I did not use sentinel because it reduced my clear speed too much.

    First day :

    I finished up to act 9 then did all the contract that I bought at wakano every time I leveled up then finished the campaign with ~70c. I bought a 5L quill rain (15c) and a 4L queen of the forest (5c). I did all my labs and started planning my atlas. My initial draft was this : Atlas passive tree. I went to bed after clearing every white maps.

    Second day :

    I went all in mapping and got up to this atlas tree : Atlas passive tree. I bought all my cluster jewels (2ex total) and the first of my forbidden jewels (2ex) as well as some new rares (~2ex total). Also I'm using The Gull now since it can carry anything to T16 these days with domination as kirac mod. I really recommend it if you're struggling.

    Third day :

    This is where my atlas tree was finally "complete" since i'm now 115/115 and have 2 voidstones. Here is the tree : Atlass passive tree. I farmed my first mirror shard this day.

    Today (fourth day) :

    Nothing really changed, I farmed 2 more mirror shard doing blight + expedition in T12 maps. I could go higher but my gear is not that great since I did not invest in it very much. I'm on the fence about respeccing my atlas tree to take something else than heist, I thought it'd spawn way more often. Probably ritual ?

    Poison Frenzy Hollow Palm Pathfinder

    How it Started

    • Poison frenzy hollow palm is an abomination I thought of after playing poison seismic trap last league. I loved it and cleared all the way up to the feared and wave 30 sim in ssf. I love hollow palm to death but despise the cheese from multi totems giving you almost double damage and inflated PoB's. Ice crash is awful to play personally and infernal blow is a blast to map with but the boss damage is lacking without borderline mirror tier gear and having totems up 100% of the time. This build is meant to take advantage of pathfinder's poison proliferation to simulate an infernal blow pop as well as having nice sustained boss DPS with no PoB cheese or having to ensure totems are out. It also benefits from nodes such as magebane and iron reflexes to have a more comfortable experience playing a build that is meant to be squishy.

    The Mechanics

    • Hollow palm reads "adds 14-20 physical damage to melee attacks per 10 dexterity while you are unencumbered. 40% more melee attack speed while unencumbered. You count as dual wielding while unencumbered". Unencumbered means you can not use either weapon slot or gloves. This makes gearing easy yet the same time difficult to find resistances. You also have a limited skill set. In this case we will use frenzy as it can be used unarmed. Frenzy is a skill gem that can be both melee and ranged. It generates frenzy charges on hit. That's the basics. Frenzy also benefits from bow skill modifiers on the tree and through support gems even though it will be used completely melee. This allows us to access some powerful nodes to make the damage more meaningful. This works because frenzy has the tags BOW and PROJECTILE. Hunter's gambit is a node that is taken which provides 25% increased damage over time with bow skills, 10% chaos damage over time multiplier, and 10% increased skill duration. Even though frenzy is being used in melee, it is still indeed a bow skill and benefits from the bonus damage. This works because the said node does not specify that the damage over time has to come from a bow. It only has to be a skill that CAN be used by a bow. This is the same for a support we use. Vicious projectiles. It is singlehandedly the largest source of dot damage in the game being 59% more with a level 5 awakened version. You may say why not just use melee physical damage support instead? There is a downside. Melee phys support gives 10% LESS attack speed which in turn gives 10% LESS damage. The damage over time portion of vicious projectiles does not specify that the damage over time has to be applied through a projectile, only the skill gem it is supporting must have the projectile tag. Frenzy does. These interactions and the fact that frenzy gives permanent uptime on 6 frenzy charges mean you can scale poison damage more efficiently. This build also allows you to run supports to further enhance your damage that have very good to true 100% uptime. Withering step gives 8 wither stacks and with enough skill duration you can potentially overlap to have 15 stacks at all/most times. I only tick 8 stacks in PoB since that will more than likely be the true amount given you are dodging mechanics and not hitting a punching bag. Plaguebearer also adds an unlisted amount of damage. I really don't know how much damage this skill does but it seems like its more than what it says. I could be wrong.

    The Ascendancy

    • This is a pretty no brainer choice. Pathfinder gives quality of life to something that desperately needs it. The poison proliferation makes clear amazing. The extra chaos damage notable is just purely more damage and more aoe for withering step and plaguebearer. The flask recharge lets you have much more uptime on bosses unlike other builds that will have flasks checked on and not be able to sustain it the rest of the fight. It also gives 6% reduced ele damage taken which is about equal to 1.5% maximum resistances. The last node just gives attack and movement speed. It makes mapping faster and bosses a little bit faster as long as your flasks are active. You also benefit from 20% increased flask effect which can go a long way for defensive capabilities.

    The Gear

    • This is a pretty easy build to gear early on. You can use a 6-link briskwrap or wildwrap until you can craft a suitable chest piece. The ideal chest will have -mana cost warlord mod and %inc dex because frenzy costs so much to use. Amulet of course we will be going with an astramentis and boots garukhan's flight. The perfect belt, rings, and helm will all have dexterity, resistances, and life. That is all you need. if you can craft -mana cost on rings it would be ideal. Having the hunter nearby enemies have -9% chaos res mod would also net you a large amount of damage. All missing resistances can be made up with jewels. I would not shoot for overcapping resistances to ele weak cap unless you want to have a bad time. That is just the nature of almost any hollow palm build. Mageblood of course will be able to alleviate all resistance problems and make you a walking tank but that is not something I expect anyone to aim for.

    • This is the template I am using for now. Skill links are already put in. For single target I recommend swapping to behead support simply because the strike range is invaluable and when a boss drops below 50% your damage skyrockets. You also DO NOT ANOINT TRIBAL FURY. The reason for this is because divergent frenzy at 20 quality gives you tribal fury for free. Being able to anoint a reservation notable will allow you to use malevolence, determination, and herald of agony. You can always run an evasion version instead with grace I just prefer using determination + iron reflexes. You will also see there is a spot for a brutal restraint right below duelist. This can potentially make your build have god tier damage because you take 8 NOTABLES WITHIN THE RADIUS. You will probably never see all 8 with 5% increased dexterity but it makes the chance of seeing 4-5 more common which is more than most hollow palm builds have.

    • In the custom modifiers in configuration I have to manually add the 41% increased damage over time with bow skills as 41% increased damage with poison. PoB does not recognize this interaction but it is correctly applied in game. It DOES work. Also I just set elemental resistances to 75% to give a more accurate ehp because the gear will eventually provide enough to cap all resistances. I just did not want to add random resistance rolls to gear because that's not how crafting works.

    How it's Going

    • I started playing this character about 2 days ago. I am currently level 80 and in yellow maps. The damage for single target is good and the clear is amazing. With the ability to spread 300% increased damage poisons from the poison mastery and plaguebearer being able to clear those mobs before the poisons expire, all of those 300% inc damage poisons will get spread to the tankiest enemy and they will cease to exist. I am still building currency in order to craft gear with dexterity essences but with no dex on gear other than boots and a briskwrap, I'm sitting comfortably in yellow tier. I'm sure this will be able to handle most if not all endgame with investment like every other build. I just wanted to make an off meta version of two of my favorite playstyles, hollow palm and dots.

    New melee build for someone thats been out of the loop for a year

    What is the most braindead unkillable fast mapper?

    LS Raider hit a wall on Pinnacle bosses, next upgrades steps?

    So basically I finished the entire atlas, did the eldritch bosses and shaper but damage single target was very meh. I have 5 ex liquid (+ 10 ex if I sell a few things) and want to know what are the next steps for my builds. Got +1 projectiles and +1 strike gloves, they are not in the pob because Im recrafting them right now.

    This is my first LS and I didn't follow any guides so Im a bit lost on the priority , I guess the easy upgrade is omni but it is out of my budget now.

    What's the strategy to reach level 100 in SSF so fast? Specifically with Deadeye LA builds

    Besides playing many hours... what's the mapping and atlas strat to reach level 100? Do these people run rare T1 maps all day? maybe T5? magic T10 maps? Farm sulphite and run certain Delve depth? I have no clue. What do you guys think?

    It's not like I'm into speedrunning, but I would love to know what do they usually do to safely earn exp very fast so I could maybe, in my own time and speed, do the same mainly to be more efficient during my gaming sessions.

    Arakaali's & Squire Build Help

    Just farmed up my Squire, and got my league starter switched into Arakaali's. I've been blasting all day but have some concerns. It's a weird build with lots going on, I've watched a few guides but thought some more experienced eyes might be able to help out.

    I've watched a few guides, but my biggest concerns are; - Is Hydrosphere set up correctly? I know the interaction between Divergent Melee Splash is a big damage boost for single target, but is it hurting my clear keeping it in my cast when channeling?

    • Not 100% sold on the tree, I think some pathing is inefficient. Maybe two clusters are a waste for now? PoE Ninja has people all over the place with what they're doing. Maybe I drop down to one cluster and grab more life/QoL nodes on the tree?

    • Is corpsewalker worth it?

    • I have 80% all res and capped chaos res, but still feel squishy at times? I know Sentinel rares are spicy, but it still seems wild I'm getting one shot.
