Need Help: New(ish) Player here. Ele Hit Scion, can't seem to get enough damage for end-game

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 06:46 PM PST

So, I got into the game a few weeks ago. Ran a Molten Strike Jugg Build first, got to end game and hated it (ikr, no one knows wtf is going on when they start). Made a Blade Vortex Witch (Trip Herald) got further, but decided to make a ranged build to more easily navigate end-game (finally learned mechanics and realized value of range). So here we are with an Ele Hit Scion. I like it, have gotten further than I have, but have hit a ceiling. I cant kill Elder on a red map and my DPS seems capped around 50k with Ele Hit. Have 76/76/75 Resist, 7.8k Life

What am I missing? I have Yoke for Pen, a +3 6L bow, and almost all of the items I need according to my guide (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2183938).

    Here's my char. https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/bdj2403/characters

Literally any advice or insight would be helpful, just fixed my immortal set-up but am manually casting Ice Nova and Blood Rage. I'm honestly lost but want to learn how to overcome this obstacle in preparation for next season.

    AuraBot vs. Managuardian

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 09:53 PM PST

So I've been looking at a few support builds, and can't decide between a managuardian and aurabot. I'm going to be playing with a friend, and we will always be leveling together so that is not an issue. He will probably be playing a spell caster, if that helps. What are some of the pros and cons of each build? Is one better then the other? Is it up to personal preference? Thanks :)

Builds for low level delving+MF Mapping?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 11:58 AM PST

    Hi,

im currently planning to go with this build for the next league start + into low level delving and mapping.

(MF Gear can be swapped in delve phases)

    https://pastebin.com/icb9bywM

The idea is to alternate between like channel mapping MF and low level delve to not get burned out, generate the sulphite and optimize time / money for starters.

What are other good low level delve builds? especially with a bit of defense since its gonna be HC.

I dont feel comfortable starting with CA and a Pathfinder/Raider yet (Meh Ranger start into the league + CA meh levelling + meh no real ascendancy nodes supporting my defense and offense) and am looking for alternatives.

Elementalist / Hiero with any Brands maybe or WinterOrb.

Is Witch a safe bet for most self-cast builds?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 06:49 AM PST

Planning on playing a self-cast build next season and although I'm leaning Winter Orb I may end up wanting to transition to one of the new skills. The only thing I'm settled on is going self-cast.

Is it a safe bet that most self-cast builds will be best played as Witch? I don't mind dropping 100 orbs of regret to respec if I end up changing skills but hate leveling.

Last season I was in a similar position knowing I wanted a bow build and was surprised to learn Scion, not Ranger, is best for most bow builds.

What do you prefer for league starting? Clear vs bossing ability

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 07:59 AM PST

I usually try to go pretty balanced on league start, but more and more I find myself loving fast-clearing bow builds (ROA, Lightning Arrow, Ice Shot, etc). Thinking of just starting next league with a clear character, but at the same time I think I should go with something tankier instead for atlas completion/lab farming.

Are Crit Strike Reductions worth it?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 06:26 PM PST

I already have 30% reduction from [Belt of the Deceiver], And I am wondering if I should get {Indomitable} passive with 20% reduction? It will cost me 6 Skill points.

    Need help choosing ascendancy.

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 01:14 PM PST

I've been toying with the idea of starting the league with a freezing pulse build using sire of shards, and with the announcement of self cast buffs it sounds like a winner, but i cant for the life of me settle on an ascendancy.

The build is pretty generic, some form of defense,2x first snows, crit, staff nodes, and whatever cold damage i can fit in.

The original idea was heirophant, for arcane surge bonuses and MoM, possibly with a mindspiral helm.

But then i started thinking about ES occultist, which lead me to thinking about elementalist, then inquisitor, then assassin....

Does anyone have any suggestions? It doesnt have to be endgame worthy, as long as its fun in yellow maps ill be happy.

No life, No Es, 10mil dps. Is this a real build?!

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 07:03 AM PST

Is this build for real? https://pastebin.com/p3QGBrk3

I cannot fully get a Grasp of the concept but I think it has to do with Gluttony. You are immune to elemental damage and as long as you convert more physical damage to elemental damage (convert to physical to elemental and while having negative resists) you are immune to physical aswell since you heal more than you take.

According to PoB Gluttony has a duration of 9.25s not sure if that is correct. How does the soul stacking work for Gluttony?

Looking for new build after playing and loving Winter Orb to death

    Posted: 20 Feb 2019 06:28 AM PST

Just played Winter Orb elementalist as my very first SSF character and it was the most fun i had in poe. I did all content up to uber elder (struggled on uber due to lack of experience and squishy character) without any trouble and even HoGM and uber atziri (reflect bugged until yesterday).

I've consider rolling a WO occultist (i might be in love with WO) to try crit version and maybe a tankier version with energy shield, but i was looking for input on a build you all would reccomend to try before 3.6 with the time left and with the currency i have occurred.

Ideally SSF viable (plan to start ssf next league) and maybe more on the tank side or potential to have more defense then the super offense of elementalist WO. I usually go with builds that can do all content with minor tweaks.

Builds i've played and enjoyed since 3.0 give you idea:

Fire brand elementalist Auto bomber Scorching ray totem Heiro RF zerker LLRF guardian x3 Flicker strike scion and raider

(Apparently i like the left side of the tree)
