CWC WO icespear elementalist need help to progress

    Posted: 27 Mar 2019 12:19 AM PDT

Hello all, I am currently level 86'ish and starting to struggle a bit. My Chraracter is SnikePlasskens. I have been using this guide (which has been a huge help).

This is my second character and I have hit this place where my survivability and damage is lacking. I am running tier 7'ish maps and die occasionally to bosses an cannot complete incursion. I often get booted while trying to down an architect and very rarely get to to finish all mobs in an incursion.

I have tried looking for gear upgrades but I simply get confused and overwhelmed. I am stuck gear-wise between early leveling and endgame gear, I guess I need some stepping stones. Or maybe I screwed up the passive tree? I still lack the last ascendancy Lab but at this point I doubt I could complete it (4/6 trials completed).

I have around 60 c to buy gear for. I skipped the Tabula Rasa while leveling as my Humility droprate was "unlucky", I ran quite a few blood aquaducts with no card drops. Should I buy one now for the 6 links?

Any help would be much appreciated.

*edit I am pretty sure I don't have 17 unspent skill points or two unspent ascendancy points, but I will of course check to make sure when I get off work.

Help optimize my DI Inquisitor please!

    Posted: 27 Mar 2019 03:41 AM PDT

So I made the mistake of rolling Inquisitor instead of Trickster, but gonna try and make it work anyway because if I rerolled I would be buying hybrid gear instead of just using the ES gear I've already got.

I'm posting this cos I had a couple of attempts at uber elder last night and just got fucked on, so I'm really frustrated right now because I felt like this build was doing REALLY WELL in all other content.

    Character name: AR_Quisitor

    https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/XreignZ/characters

    POB: https://pastebin.com/g4w3Yr2x

Currently my goals for sinking currency are:

-grab a second Call of the Brotherhood when I can afford rares to make up the stats and resists lost

-once I can afford one of these six linked chests I'll either gear for Eternity Shroud, LL with Shav's, or Incandescent Heart. (need help deciding which would be optimal. Incadescent Heart seems like it would be the least expensive in the long term, but not sure about it in terms of raw overall power)

-get lab chants on my stuff (though I should probably buy better rares first?)

-upgrade weapon (maybe swap shield for second weapon?)

Optimization goals that require less currency:

-optimize passives (almost definitely need help with this part)

    -optimize gems

-optimize flasks (sin's rebirth, taste of hate, atziri's promise, or others??)

I kind of need help deciding which thing to focus on first because I have no idea what's going to help me do the most DPS. I am completely lost with this build. Surviving the uber elder fight wouldn't e a problem if I can muster up half as much DPS as some of the Trickster DI builds I've seen on YouTube.

I haven't made much currency this league (1 ex and 30c to my name) so I'd prefer to start with changes that don't require much currency and have those help me move on to making currency for the larger goals.

    Another Chance! :)

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 10:36 AM PDT

    Hi everyone!

I picked PoE around the Legacy league, but really get into it deeply when Harbringer and Fall of Oriath was released. My goal was to get 'Shaper' down (which was the strongest boss at that time) and I did (running Breserker Ancestral Warchief Totem build). Since this was my first real run, I used a guide from the forums. When Shaper was dead. I quit PoE. The reason was that while I found the whole experience super fun and there is a LOT to learn, the feeling at the end for me was me being executed. The reason for that I believe was Trading. At some point, It felt like I spend more time in PoE trade than in-game. Not to mentioned reading a lot about stats, and how to evaluate gear etc etc. I decided it's not the game for me because it's so balanced around trading.

However, a friend from work recently told me he was burned out by trading, and SSF completely changed the game experience for him. Mainly because he wasn't 'bound' for that 'specific gear slot'. He urged me to give it another try, and here I am :-)

I'm still a newbie, and I'm not sure I can build a tree completely by my own, without screwing the character later on - So I'm looking for a Build:

    1. SSF build - without any unique Legenderies that are not obtainable easily.

    2. League starter, that will stay my main. My wife is about to deliver our first child soon, and I'm not sure I'm going to have time to re-roll during the league (or play at all lol, time will tell).

    3. Fun build. While Totem build got me all the way to the Shaper, It didn't feel rewarding or powerful tossing your totem, and just running around in circles.

    4. I want to be able to run end-game content. Probably not the Shaper, but the (weaker) version of Elder, and perhaps other new bosses that were added since Harbinger league and I didn't see yet.

    5. A build that when this leagues end, will leave me with the will to run another league, because this one was so much fun.

    Thanks you! :-)

Does it worth to play your miner Sabateur just for 100% increased Mine Arming Speed? (Scion vs. Sabateur)

    Posted: 27 Mar 2019 01:10 AM PDT

    Hello guys,

I am starving for some advice. My main question is: "How exactly mine arming speed caps my mines detonated per second?"

I really have problems about calculating mines detonated per second because the tooltip shows the number of mines a little bit laggy.

For my build, playing a Scion(Sabateur&Deadeye) will increase my damage, life, and more importantly, will increase the number of projectiles I fire by my sub-ascendancy and will give me insane accuracy which I need.

However, I can't be sure if this "mine arming speed" will be a problem.

How does this mine arming speed blocks me in numbers?

Bane vs Contagion for Trickster ED Build

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 04:57 PM PDT

Up to now, I have been using Contagion/Essence Drain and it has been working well. What is the difference between using Bane vs Contagion? I looked at Ghazzy's build guide as well as the forum thread for the build, and I couldn't get a clear idea what the difference is.

Thanks for any help you could provide.

    Top Lab Farmer/Bosskiller

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 08:23 PM PDT

What is the best Lab Farmer/Bosskiller build atm considering no currency. You would have your standard Ancestral totem build, MS Jugg, Vortex Occultist and so on...

    • i was wondering if any of the chaos builds are to be considered in this category..
    • if so, how would they compare to Vortex Occultist since they both be damagr over time builds.. which one would be stronger?

Newish Player looking for easy ranged build.

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 06:13 AM PDT

I've tried playing this before a while ago a few times. The first time was a trapper and got bored. I just really didn't like the game play of a trapper and the 2nd time was some Duelist build that i don't remember.

I've always wanted to do a ranged build, but was always told that they are expensive and not good for new players, but honestly they look the most fun to play to me. Has this changed at all?

I would love to get my hands on a ranged build with decent clear speed and good single target damage, while still being able to survive some hits (I'm newish after all) that also goes deep into the gear and other things for new players.

I always end up quiting after 5 days or a week as i just feel overwhelmed with the crafting, trying to find gear and following the build guides. This is the first game of this sort that i've ever tried playing before. I've mostly stuck to FPS games my whole life before this game. That is why i feel like ranged is more interesting to me.

Any suggestions would be great to help me out. I really wanna take the time to find a really nice guide this time and hopefully; I will last longer than a few days this time.

Path of Exile 3.6 Synthesis Top Builds

Need some help making a build hardcore viable

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 07:26 PM PDT

Hey guys! I saw a build in the forum using Toxic Rain with CoC ED / Contagion in a Trickster. The build link is here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2332800/page/1

It seem's pretty cool and i'm leveling in the Hardcore, but i don't think the build guide is ~Hardcore viable~ and i'm struggling in some points of the PoB. I thought about running this with MoM and EB, maybe, as trickster ascendancy benefits a bit in damage mitigation while you have energy shield, but i'm not sure if its worth it. What you guys think?

Chosing a build to play with a guardian support

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 03:56 PM PDT

My friend and I are planning to start new characters in synthesis softcore and he wants to support me with this build Toasters HC Guardian Support

I'm having a hard time deciding on a build or even an archetype that would benefit the best from said support build. I am tempted to play howa jugg blade flurry but it doesn't seem like I would take advantage of all of the auras with that one.

We are both looking to push to the very end game for the first time (uber elder, maybe deep delving). Does anyone have any build recommendations or advice on what to pay attention to when chosing a build to play with this guardian support?

    thanks for the help :)

    1 hand + shield gladiator

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 03:00 PM PDT

Hello! I am trying to make a frozen mallet max block gladiator! The issue I am having is what shield I should be looking for in rares? Are rares the best? I was thinking of running daresso's because it seems like a good all around shield for block! Also how much block do you need to be max block for attack's and for spells? My goal is to farm Uber lab and kill bosses like guardians and elder? I've done yellows on my blade vortex but I want to try reds when the time comes!

Any tips, help, input is appreciated!!

    Aoe no touch Build?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 08:45 AM PDT

Is there a build where u just run around and everything dies without having to press spells? Like a passive aoe build? I got the idea from Asmongold talking about a build he made where he just ran around and stuff died from being close to him.

New player, which of these builds is more beginner friendly?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 07:55 AM PDT

I've been doing some research in anticipation of the PS4 release and now I'm trying to decide which build to start with.

I really like the Occultist from all m research so far and am considering a lot of Occultist builds, mostly variants of ED or Death's Oath; but my big question here is in Trickster vs Occultist. Seems like a lot of people run the same builds you would run on an Occultist on a Trickster and I'm wondering about the pros and cons.

I'm also considering a Tectonic Jugg and an Elemental Hit Deadeye.

Again I'm leaning toward going Occultist for my first build, but would be open to suggestions in the builds I picked, or other good starting builds.

New player on ps4 want advice

    Posted: 26 Mar 2019 09:29 AM PDT

Ok so I I just downloaded it sa to find out that the classes are gender locked but ok fine il put up with it cuz from what I've been told it only really affects ur starting stats and position on the board. I need to know what path I should take to build a high dps (in meta Ofcourse ) spell caster from the starting area of the shadow so I can get around the gender restriction.
