    'Move only' should not influence Zombie and Spectre behaviour

    This is the AI fix for Zombies. And it's free on reddit.

    Read further if you are a Zombie enthusiast and a Gentleman.

    I am convinced this is the single biggest issue as to why for example Zombiemancer builds struggle. If you didn't know, Zombies are extremely responsive to your command inputs. They will prioritize you casting somewhere over their current action which goes even as far as them disengaging the enemy. This enables a great deal of control and is actually contributing to a pretty good Summoner experience in PoE (excluding SRS).

    Enter the great problem: As a summoner you are bound to be kiting, especially on bosses. The issue arises when you moving somewhere triggers a command in the Zombies (and Spectres) to follow you instead of staying on target. A popular demand is adding the 'aggressive' behaviour of Golems to Zombies, maybe via Violent Dead. I believe this to not be the optimal solution. While having ravaging abnormal titans Zombies go to town on anything in sight completely ignoring your actions in their bloodlust may sound like a fun thing, it ultimately leads to more losses than gains. There are plenty of situations where you would want your Zombies to doooooodge - Bearers being just one of many, Death and Taxes being the best example of why total control at will is preferable.

    While Spectre's aggression depends on the Spectre, Zombies are actually not as passive and stupid as they are made out to be. Since their movement speed scaling is uncapped, if made quick enough with a high enough attack speed, they will demonstrate a proper pounding if left at their own devices. The issue with their seemingly weird behaviour is yet again linked to 'move only' being a command for them as well. Everytime you direct your character to move somewhere, you are actually whispering sweet nothings into your loyal servant's ears. How well would you fight, if someone was constantly ordering you around in a combobulated manner: 'Attack! no, move, attack now-move again, att-move!'

    The fix is simple, though I do not know how easy the implementation is. Zombies and Spectres need to ignore the 'move only' input of the character and just keep their 'follow' mechanic as is. A spell or attack input should have the same directing effects as of now to ensure control.

    As to my own qualifications on this topic: I am a seasoned masochist Zombiemancer. Zombies are in my head, in my head, with their moans and their guns and their stuns and their Slams...
